Came for the beans. They did not disappoint! A friend recommended this spot for good beans as I recently picked up on a passion to brew my own weird coffee concoctions at home. Mike was super helpful. His personality matched the chill vibes of the place. He walked me through their different options, what type of flavor and brew I enjoyed and recommended the right beans. I came home w/ 2 lbs of different beans and am happy to report that my mornings have started off with a smile. I found my new coffee beans spot. Thanks Mike! See you in a few weeks!
One of my favorite coffee house in Los Angeles. It has a great atmosphere, excellent coffee, and a divine aroma. What more could you need for happiness?
Can’t emphasize enough how much I love this establishment. My favorite iced coffee in LA, probably actually in the world, and it is SO reasonably priced and everyone in there is so nice. I genuinely don’t know why anyone gets coffee anywhere else. You can also get freshly roasted beans for home coffee and those are great too
A.J. is a coffee roasting genius!!! That should tell you everything you need to know The Conservatory. Not a coffee person, the great wall of tea is bound to have something that will put a smile on your face.
It’s the best coffee shop I’ve ever been to in my life. The owner himself work here every day. The place was done with love & passion, you can see that right the way. They have sugar free options for coffees, which for me is important & more to that it’s doesn’t taste like sugar free at all. The place is cozy and warm, the same type of people come there. Delicious pastries. They roast coffee beans themselves, they have a huge tea collection, and they in loose sell both. Love love love 💖💖💖
Good coffee, great value. I ordered a flat white and it ticked all the boxes (i.e., it was not an espresso in 12 oz of warm milk). Can recommend to any other Australians visiting Culver City
had a latte and a ham & cheese croissant here. The latte was smooth and well-balanced, and the croissant was warm, flaky, and satisfying. The café has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive. It’s the kind of spot that feels inviting whether you’re grabbing a quick coffee or sitting down to relax. Overall, a great neighborhood café experience.
Sometimes it takes a little patience to get a table but the service and coffee are 10/10. Street parking can be challenging but don’t give up, it is worth the visit. Besides quality, prices are a little under other cafes in the area.
Discovered this place a few months ago while looking for a decent coffee shop near our showroom and found this gem. Decent is an understatement, this place exceeded my expectations and hasn't let us down yet. Great coffee, great team and great atmosphere. We recently put together about 40 gift boxes for our clients and decided to include a 1lb bag of organic espresso beans in each box. We wanted to support a local business and choosing this place was a no-brainer. AJ helped me put together the order and schedule it for a specific date. Everything was done on time and everyone loved the coffee. We will definitely keep coming back here!
Some of (if not) the best espresso in Culver City. Smooth and slightly sweet, doesn't even need sweetener. Roasted in-house and with a large tea section which I haven't gotten anything from but looks promising. Culver City-priced so be prepared and hours/days of business are limited but perfect for an early pick-me-up.
By far my new favorite coffee shop. I only discovered this place about a month ago and now it's a must go place for me when I am in the area. Employees are great, always have a great attitude which really helps make you feel good about going here and I feel like it also goes a long way in making us the customers be in a good mood while here as well. Coffee also is as good if not better than any place I've had and prices are extremely reasonable considering this is Culver City and nearby coffee shops are much more in line what you'd expect to pay for this area. Also the pastry and showcase items are all really good from the handful I've had and again all really well priced, under $5 which is pretty shocking for the quality and considering today's economic climate. I really can't recommend this place highly enough, if you're just passing through or don't live far but have happened to miss this place before, do yourself a favor and go, you won't regret it.
This was a wonderful find!! My wife and I were looking for a local coffee spot for quality coffee. We found it here. Not only was the coffee delicious, their baked goods were fantastic, and their staff is incredibly. While we are only in town for a few days, we've come back twice already. Each time we visited, the staff was patient and so kind. They made the coffee perfectly. While I'm not the most avid coffee drinker, they blended their lattes, well. Great coffee flavor with a good hint of added flavor. (Order hazelnut and mocha). If we have time we'll be visiting them again before we leave. Definitely worth the visit!! If we had enough room in our luggage, I'd bring home a few bags of their coffee beans. Keeping this on the my list of places to revisit when I'm back in LA.
My husband has been frequenting this coffee shop for over a decade and a half and I for over 6 years. It’s the only place where coffee truly feels like a therapeutic experience. I’m not a coffee connoisseur , but I’m an ardent coffee enthusiast, especially as a toddler mom. Over the years, my love for coffee has grown so much that when we relocated to a different city, we made sure to pack coffee beans so I could continue enjoying my favorite brews at home. This coffee shop has become a cherished ritual for us, and we always make sure to schedule our coffee dates here. This time, we brought along six pounds of my favorite coffee beans to ensure we had a delightful coffee experience back home. I also appreciate their support for the local artists who perform live music sessions during the noon hours. However, I do wish they could extend their operating hours a bit and open on at least one weekend day.
Just entering this place will change your day for the better. Smells delicious. Coffee is great. Cakes (gluten-free) are delicious. Extensive tea selection is crazy good, at affordable prices too. Music is high quality (LP albums on the wall). Decoration is unique and cozy. If you are in Culver City or close, come here for a great coffee experience.
Excellent tea and coffee selection to choose from and delicious bakery items! The decor is rustic and old-fashion. There’s not much space, so you may have to get it to-go if you come during peak hours. Parking is also pretty limited in the area, but most lunchtime patrons have walked from nearby offices so you may find a spot if you come by car.
On weekday mornings, the Conservatory is a popular coffee house with long queues. Today, the wait time was 25 minutes at about 9:30 am. Anyway, we keep coming here for the coffee and especially the scones as of end of 2018. How has this business been doing since the pandemic started and a Lock down was implemented? I am happy to report that this business is still thriving as of this Tuesday morning in April 2021. Business practice has changed of course. It is mostly take out and not sit down. The staff is upbeat and friendly. It remains a very pleasant experience to be a customer here.
Line moves pretty quick, and the pastries are yummy, the drink can be hit or miss. Today I ordered a cold brew with h/h and the h/h was separated (expired), making my beverage undrinkable. Super disappointing.
