We came to Via Alloro tonight my wife and two daughters , we had an amazing experience, 5 stars Justina the Hostess is such a lovely, kind person, always with a smile on her face, and always going beyond to accommodate my family. Matteo was our server, he was wonderful ! The food was amazing. Thank you Via Alloro We will return soon ! We highly recommend it to all .
My grandparents have visited me in LA for the first time in 10+ years, my grandfather being a New Yorker & my grandmother an Italian, I have been very pick and choose with the restaurants I have taken them to during their stay. I am very, very, very beyond pleased with my experience at this restaurant tonight. I had requested with Justina & Fatima a private secluded outdoor table to which they accommodated perfectly, and they were also extremely polite! The bread was amazing, perfectly warm for you to be able to enjoy as it was sat down on your table, and also very reasonably priced and portioned! $1.50 / 2 slices of bread & condiments. (You maybe need 2/4 slices max) I ordered the Tagliata Di Bue - I am very particular when it comes to any steak order - very rare and a treat for myself….. & I am so glad I decided to order. My steak was phenomenal. I’m talking 20 out of 10. The presentation was immaculate, the sauce mixture between the steak and the salad, everything was just spectacular. This was truly a great experience for myself, and a great experience for the grandparents.
Absolutely love this place and it's the perfect spot to meet clients for lunch or dinner. There are lots of traditional Italian favorites on the menu (I love the beef tenderloin) and something for everyone. The expresso is second to none and sometimes I walk up on my lunch break just to grab one!
We love Via Alloro for lunch and dinner but also for events in either the outside patio, back covered room and separate wine room. I’ve had my 60th birthday, daughters showers, husbands birthday etc. The staff is incredible and their attention to detail and to us are “beyond”. It’s our favorite restaurant on every level!!
I have been coming to Via Alloro since it first opened its doors in January 2009, and it continues to be one of my favorite Italian Sicilian style restaurants in Beverly Hills. From the moment you arrive, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service is consistently first class, and the food is simply outstanding. The cuisine is exceptional across the board. From the pastas and pizzas to the daily specials, everything is prepared with care and authenticity. The pizzas are fantastic, the specials are always inspired, and every meal feels both comforting and elevated at the same time. A special thank you to Tanino Drago for creating such a timeless dining destination, along with the gracious hosts and my favorite servers Garidan, Giuseppe, and Collachero, as well as the wonderful bartenders Mario and Eva, who make each visit feel welcoming and memorable. As a Beverly Hills real estate agent for 37 years, I am always looking for places that reflect quality, consistency, and excellence. Via Alloro is one of my favorite spots to bring clients and friends. When I introduce someone to this restaurant, they almost always become regulars. Fantastic food, classic Italian ambiance, and impeccable service. Via Alloro is a true Beverly Hills staple and always a pleasure to return to.
Via Alloro in Beverly Hills delivers a flawless five star Italian dining experience. The restaurant is helmed by executive chef Tanino Drago alongside chef Paolo Sicuro and guided by owner chef Giacomino Drago, each a respected culinary artist in the Drago family legacy. Their combined vision is what gives this place its soul and sets it apart from the countless Italian restaurants around the city. Service here is impeccable from the moment you walk in. I happened to catch the U.S. Open playing on the TVs in the lounge, but make no mistake, this is not a sports bar. This is a refined and elegant Italian staple that manages to feel both welcoming and elevated. The outdoor patio with its fountains and greenery is a perfect place to enjoy a long meal, while the indoor space has a warm and sophisticated atmosphere. The pizza is outstanding. The Margherita with its thin crust, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil is exactly what you want from a classic. The Tanino Drago pizza with tuna, Tropea onions, and jalapeño is a bold and memorable creation. Main courses are equally strong, from pastas like linguine alle vongole and penne with turkey sausage in a pink sauce to perfectly grilled meats and fresh seafood. The grilled octopus and house antipasti are also excellent choices to start a meal. Every dish reflects careful sourcing and thoughtful preparation, with flavors that are both classic and inventive. Via Alloro is a true gem of Beverly Hills, a place where impeccable service, superb food, and a beautiful setting all come together. Five stars all the way.
What can I say? Simply a delight. The restaurant staff welcomed us with open arms, graceful manners, and warm smiles. The food was flawless -each and every dish was absolutely wonderful. I especially recommend the truffle pasta -it was perfectly balanced and not too heavy. The desserts were also delicious. Just a truly enjoyable experience. I hope to return soon. Thank you for the warm hospitality 🩷 More impressions from this visit - and others -can be found on my social: @kimnave
Really good authentic Italian restaurant. It was my first time and I loved it. I have been looking for quite a while black risotto with squid inck, and they had and was delicious. They had a great house Cavernet "Papa Drago" I really recommend it but the cherry in top of the cake is the impeccable service, they really make you feel at home, Francisco, and Auner were amazing super professional yet friendly. I will definitely come back and recommend this place . They have outdoor and indoor dining.
I think undoubtedly it’s hard to compete with IL Pastio which is just north of it since it’s so iconic but I think they do a really good job. The food is really beautiful plated and flavor was very intense. It feels authentic - the Pricing is definitely on par with the other restaurants. All the staff had mask plus another plastic face shield so it felt like they were taking precaution. The tuna tartar appetizer is a must try. We loved it.
A nice choice for Italian home cooking style. Always consistent with professional service. Highly recommended as a lunch location
Been coming here for years & it’s one of our families favorites 💚 Great drinks & perfect thin pizza!!! BUT the salad we had last time left us VERY Unimpressed- “SALUMIERE 21.50 CHOPPED ICEBERG LETTUCE, TOMATO, SHARP PROVOLONE CHEESE, GARBANZO BEANS, SALAMI, FRESH MOZZARELLA, BLACK OLIVES & VINEGAR SICILIAN OREGANO DRESSING” We had to play seek & find to have any bites with Salami, they had about 5-8 tiny strips in the whole salad (see pictures)… how sad 😞 - I know what we won’t order there from now on.
It is one of the many Italian places almost in the heart of Beverly Hills. Advantages: - good location, -cosy backyard, - Italian food - beautiful decoration inside and outside Disadvantages: - Parking is a headache, - Line in the evening is too big, - menu is not diverse comparing to other Italian places in the area - Service is average, not outstanding. You need to fight to the attention of waitress or simply to find him/her at first place (Beverly Hills restaurant must have outstanding service) On a scale from 1 to 5 I give 4. Thank you 🙏
Nothing to write home about but if you are in the area it’s an OK spot. The Caesar salad was good and so was the mushroom soup. We also ordered the mushroom risotto and the tagliatelle porcini. Both were OK but lacking in flavor. For dessert we got the cannoli and the specialty bread pudding. For an Italian restaurant the cannoli was a disaster and the bread pudding is definitely not recommended. Service was pretty good until our server decided to pick up the check after we had already paid and we were still eating. Good manners dictate that the paid check should obviously be picked up when customers leave or at least be fully done eating.
Via Alloro is a spacious bar restaurant in Beverly Hills serving contemporary Italian cuisine. Outdoor seats appear to be most popular. Different live games are shown on the TVs in the bar area. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Although there is no wow factor, at least food is fresh and of consistent quality.
Came here just for dessert to sit & enjoy the night since we were in the area. Inside & outside dining available. (Heat lamps outside) Nice ambiance & atmosphere. Extensive menu & list of cocktails available. 🦋torta di amore was delicious! Highly recommend if you want dessert here. 🦋tortino di pistachio was alright 🦋espresso martini was alright, it was simple & nice The waiter was a little dissatisfied that we didn’t want to order anything except dessert & cocktails…I asked him over 3x in separate times what kind of vodka was used for my drink… until he finally asked the bartender… Be aware there’s only one stall bathroom available power sex, so it’s not comfortable. Overall nice experience.
I visited this restaurant today with a friend and unfortunately, the experience was not great. The Italian manager/main chef (unsure since we didn’t get an introduction like others) walked around loudly greeting and chatting with every table, except ours. As a Black woman dining with a visibly Muslim friend (wears the hijab), it was hard not to notice the selective hospitality. I even made eye contact with him but no smile, no greeting, nothing. Then he moved right along to the next table with warmth and conversation. Please keep in mind, we were the only people of color in our seating area & it happened TWICE. It was incredibly awkward and uncomfortable, and definitely not the welcoming vibe we expected. The rest of the staff, who seemed to be mostly Hispanic, were very polite and professional. But the manager’s behavior really stood out in a bad way. On top of that, we were hit with extra charges that made no sense. My friend and I split a salad as an appetizer and got charged an extra $3.50 for that. They also charged per person for bread they automatically give out. The place nickel-and-dimes you in ridiculous ways. The food was okay. We ordered the bolognese & salmon entrees. Nothing special, definitely not worth the prices. I also had a stomachache moments later, though I’m not sure if it was from the food. Overall, the experience felt unwelcoming and overpriced.
Food portions are small, they charged 3.50 twice to split a salad and an entree which I didn’t know about until the check came out. Would’ve been nice for them to mention it when they asked if we wanted the split. Service was extremely slow (despite plenty of waiters during a slow Sunday evening), cold, and they sat us sort of far away from the main crowd which is treatment I’ve come to expect in Beverly Hills as an Asian American. I will not be back.
Unfortunately not a great experience. Sat down for dinner inside only to be greeted with a repeated alarm that went off every 2 min for over an hour. Was told by staff that it's the bigger buildings alarm and they can do nothing about it. The alarm kept going off so we asked the manager who also said he can't do anything about it, then proceeded to taking our check and didn't even think to comp a a portion of it for the unpleasant experience. Really bizarre experience overall and made the dinner unpleasant.
me and my friends came for a after thanksgiving dinner we were greeted with hospitality at first… once we chose to sit outside things changed… our server happened to be very rude…. along with the fact that he ignored me on 2 occasions he also wiped a towel that we had of the wine onto a seat next to us and put it back…. me and my friends have had issues when it comes to sickness since the dinner our food came out cold/luke warm and cold the only thing that made the experience a little worth while was the server assistant/busser who was very helpful and kind unlike the rest of the staff. I left a seventy dollar tip regardless because i believe that rudeness should be combated with kindness. With that said the tip has still not be charged after 3 days which leads to believe something also happened to our food overall if you are in beverly hills i recommend you go somewhere else.303 dollar tab btw.
Review for Via Allora – Beverly Hills One of the worst dining experiences we've had in Beverly Hills. First, we waited over 20 minutes before anyone even came to take our order — we had to get the manager ourselves just to get service. Our coffee was never refilled, even though the server passed by our table multiple times. I ordered the calamari and shrimp salad but received the calamari appetizer instead. When the correct salad finally came, it only had three pieces of calamari and three shrimp — for $25! On top of that, it had a strange, unpleasant taste, almost like mildew. Absolutely unacceptable. My husband had to speak with the manager, who was dismissive, defensive, and lacked any sense of customer care. She needs serious retraining. The whole experience—from service to food quality—was just awful. The only decent thing was my husband’s pizza, which he said was good. They did remove my meal from the bill, but that doesn’t make up for the entire bad experience. We will never return, and I strongly advise others to avoid this place.
Extremely Disappointing Service at Via Allure, Beverly Hills October 13, 2025 — around 3:45–4:00 p.m., Monday This used to be a top-notch restaurant, but today’s experience was absolutely horrible. There seems to be a major shortage of waiters — we waited at least 15–20 minutes just to get anyone’s attention. We were finally brought water and coffee, and that’s it. No follow-up, no service, nobody around. For a place in Beverly Hills that once had excellent service and atmosphere, this kind of neglect is unacceptable. Extremely slow, unorganized, and disappointing.
