Opiniones de ilili Broadway
New york has a love affair with Lebanese cuisine. Every neighborhood has at least one restaurant that’s good. But the difference between good and great is the extra mile- from the first page of the menu, taking about Arak and how it should be paired with different dishes to small poem about drinks, to the entire presentation and eating experience beautifully designed to transport you to Lebanon. Having been there, I can tell you the food here is at par with the local taste and everyone who likes Mediterranean food must try this place. We wanted to try a lot of things off the menu and god more good than we could eat. First off, the pita breads are soft like fur, literally. We got jalapeño hummus and Kibbeh Nayyeh, to kick things off. beef Tartare was amazingly spiced and melted in mouth; while hummus provided a wonderful kick to the palette. We followed that up with Tabbouleh and Black Iron Shrimp. Incredible dishes that I barely got to touch because my date loved them so much, not inclined to share. I did sneak a taste of the tabbouleh and I can see where she was coming from 😆 Last but certainly not the least, as the size of the thing speaks for itself, Traditional Lamb Shank dinner for two. It came out in a beautiful past iron pan where the servers mixed the meat with rice on the bottom with roasted veggies. It was delicious beyond belief. I also got Somewhere between Uptown and Upstate cocktail. From the first sip of the drink to it’s last drop- it was one of the smoothest and playful drink I’ve ever had. Kudos to their Beverage Director for coming up with it. (Yes, they have a beverage director 😄) Highly recommend ilili for anyone craving a Lebanese meal or looking for a fine dining experience. I didn’t eat anything or see anything on neighboring table that didn’t taste heavenly or look like something I want on my table next time. Definitely need to visit back for their Duck Shawarma and Moussaka. Until next time!
I came to Ilili with friends and overall we had a very good experience: the food (that we shared) was delicious, the service was nice and quick, the decor was cool. The only point to improve is the acoustics of the restaurant: we dined at 9pm and it was really too loud - in between people’s voices and background music.
This restaurant is great for large groups. They have lots of space and the dishes are best shared. We had a wonderful meal with our family. We particularly enjoyed the mixed grill, lamb shawarma, and Brussel sprouts. However the falafel was disappointing and rather dry. I do highly recommend the spicy sumac margarita
Serving some major cheese pull goals with a side of happiness at Ilili!! Perfect food, stunning vibes, and an ambiance that felt like a dream. From creamy basil hummus to smoky pepper cheese mushrooms, every bite was pure bliss. The spicy chicken flatbread stole the show, and the falafel shawarma was an absolute winner! 🫓 With lush greens, cozy corners, and sunlight streaming through, the setting was as Insta-worthy as it gets. And that mocktail? Pure happiness in a glass. 🍹💛
Exquisite food in a beautifully designed interior. For a quintessential NY trendy, up-market, dining experience, this is an excellent option. The Duck Shawarma was a particular highlight but nearly everything we had was marvelously prepared. A must try!
I haven't seen my nephew, who's a former resident of NYC but now lives in San Francisco, for nearly 10 years. So when I found out he would be back in NYC at the same time as us I asked him to book somewhere to meet up for lunch. He's half Lebanese so he booked us a table at his favourite ilili NoMad Lebanese restaurant in the Flat Iron district of Manhattan. The inside of the restaurant was stunning with high ceilings and beautiful wooden panels on the walls and ceiling. My wife and I left it to my nephew to order for us and he chose a fantastic meze selection, the majority of dishes we had never eaten: Baba Ghannouj (fire roasted aubergine blended with tahini & olive oil), Mouhamra (toasted walnuts mixed with roasted peppers & pomegranate molasses), Brussel Sprouts (roasted Brussel sprouts with Parmesan cheese, dried cranberries, grapes & toasted almonds in a shallot vinegarette dressing), tabbouleh (parsley, mint, tomatoes, burghul & lemon vinegarette), Yougut with mint, grilled octopus with potatoes, cherry tomatoes & salsa verde and lamb sausages with a basket of big fluffy pitta breads. The food was exceptional, so flavourful and made with quality ingredients, and we received great service from our very knowledgeable & friendly waitress. It was great to catch up with my nephew, who kindly treated us to a fantastic lunch in a great restaurant.
This restaurant was recommended to me by a Lebanese friend . Location on 5th in the vicinity of the Empire State Building. Beautiful restaurant. With one area with a huge bar and more local sitting area to grab a quick bite and then a huge modern wood paneled dining room. Our waiter was superb, attentive and knowledgeable, as well as the guy who replenishishes your water and clears the dishes. The Labne with olive oil YUMMY. Everything was yummy. Lots if small dishes to share. Large selection of mocktails (no alcohol)
For Lebanese food with great vibes this is the spot. For date night, or catch-up with friends who want a nice place to relax and catch-up over food! The food was really delicious. The octopus and duck were the highlights with tons of flavor but both a bit sweet savory and saltiness combines that kept me wanting more. The pita bread also was nice and warm every time it came out. Staff was great and friendly. The space is huge and bathrooms were clean. Definitely recommend coming in a larger party just to try more things vs date night with that special person.
Ilili isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a full cultural experience. The menu draws flavors from across the Middle East and the Mediterranean, offering a refined journey through spices, textures, and tradition. The ambiance is intimate and elegant, with dim lighting and warm tones that create a cozy yet upscale vibe. The cocktail bar is exceptional—creative, balanced drinks that elevate the whole evening. Standouts? The muhammara is a must—smoky, spicy, deeply satisfying. The hummus is smooth and rich, and the mixed grill delivers a perfect balance of meats, all grilled to juicy perfection. A spot to savor slowly, ideal for a date night or a sophisticated dinner with friends. Consistently impressive.
They had a delicious prefix menu , those drinks are top class. The kibbeh with foie gras was something I’ve never tasted before along with the oysters with pomegranate funky combination but totally works. Also loved the small puffs with caviar . The scallop carpaccio was very well balanced a delicately cooked to perfection , for the entree I had filet mognon , with a unique mashed potatoes , the dessert was the showstopper , silky smooth , perfectly balanced with different textures all coming together harmoniously on a beautifully presented plate. I would highly recommend this place for an occasion they won’t fail to deliver !!!
Another exceptional dinner in NYC, ilili was highly recommended and we were looking for something a little different than the normal range of restaurants. It doesn’t disappoint as we admired the reception and bar area, the washroom and the main restaurant were all impressive. Our dinner was excellent and we enjoyed the food and service as well as the reasonable prices for such a good location. We didn’t have drinks so were able to keep the price down.
Fantastic experience and food was delicious (full of authentic flavors and presentation was nice). Both the mixed grill and lamb shank dishes were great. The atmosphere was warm and inviting & service was friendly. I’ve been here a few times now and recommend this place for drinks as well; great place for group dinner.
This place is absolutely a blast. Food, service, and ambience were perfect and very authentic. Mouhamara is on the sweet side and goes well with the pitas. The lamb grill mix was just legendarily great with exquisite flavor and rich aroma. The only miss was the tuna tartare which tasted kinda weird.
Had a great time eating here with some friends. The food was delicious (the halibut was great) and the vibes were good. Our server was very friendly as well. Would come here again. Seems like a good place for a date; I saw a bunch of couples while I was here. The portion sizes were somewhat small but I still ended up leaving satisfied.
Delicious!! Mouhamara, Riz ( I think it was the rice) and the desert you see in the pic are HIGHLY recommended. We got gift card to this place thanks to my partner's friends, which gave us an opportunity to try out some new cuisine and dishes. This place looked really fancy, but don't be nervous as the crowd seemed like normal families. I am going for the Labne and Mouhamara next time. The dips come with a lot of pita bread. AND the rice, do not forget the rice. The rice was heavenly. For Indians out there, it was like a ghee pulao with rice and vermicelli with pistachios, cashews, almonds, etc. DELICIOUS DELICIOUS DELICIOUS!!
Excellent dinner spot! We went as a group of 6 for my mother’s birthday and it was the perfect celebration spot. Since we weren’t too hungry we ordered 6 mezze small plates and no main entrees. Everything was absolutely delicious but the muhammara, eggplant, and brussel sprouts really stood out. They also do a super cute birthday plate with baklavas for dessert that were super yummy.
The restaurant was amazing from the beginning to the end. The atmosphere is very breathtaking and warm. I was pleasantly greeted by the hostess and seated in the main dining room which was absolutely beautiful. I loved the decor and ambiance. The food was spectacular! I never tried Lebanese food before and this was definitely an amazing first experience. Our waiter was very informative and very personable. I will definitely be coming back!
Wow. This restaurant blew me away. It does everything it is supposed to do right, right. From the moment I was first greeted at the door to the moment I left, everything was great. They truly understood the Restaurant Week assignment and executed every dish that we ordered, to perfection. They will have my business in the future for sure. We ordered the hummus, tabbouleh, fattoush, black iron shrimp, salmon, chicken breast and the two desserts. Everything was amazing. It was a new burst of flavor, texture and temperature with every dish we ate. The service is great, each course of the dinner was checked on by our waitress and the waters were always full. I will say that this restaurant can certainly step up the furniture in terms of the chairs and tables, and it will be the finishing touch it needs. The chairs felt slightly flimsy and too laid back for something that I’d like to lounge in. The table itself can use some real candles instead of the fake ones. I appreciate the technology with mobile payments through the wait staffs mobile devices, but I felt uncomfortable touching the screen multiple times to pay for my meal. Overall, great experience that can be enhanced through minor touches.
Fine dining perfected. The wait staff was very attentive but not over bearing. The timing of the courses was perfect. The interior is beautifully done, deceivingly large with multiple private areas. The food was delicious and the presentation 👌 I can truly recommend all of these items Hummus, Beef fried kibbeh Atayef veal bacon, Kibbeh Nayyeh Duck shawarma, Warak Anab bil zeit (Grape leaves in oil) Traditional lamb shank. Well then there was desert,,,,
Last night I dined at this restaurant for my 30th birthday. It was just my sister and my cousin. We are a fan of Arab cuisine and heard good things about this place. We had the pleasure of having Hisham as our server. He so eloquently shared the details of the menu and what items paired best with other items. The food was impeccable and reminded me of the Levant dishes my friend's mother would cook on Eid. I highly recommend you order the Kibbeh and just about everything else on the menu. You will be blessed if Hisham is there to serve you! 10/10
i wish i could give this restaurant 10 stars. it was that good. every single aspect of this place was incredible-they did not disappoint in any way and left me with a positive and lasting impression this is my new favorite restaurant in new york city. creative and impeccable dishes, exceptional service, beautiful interior decor, delicious strong drinks, what more can you ask for? Only thing to note their shrimp was a bit overcooked. it wasn’t bad, it just wasn’t impressive - i could’ve made it at home, the flavor wasn’t spectacular or outstanding. I’m still giving it 5 stars because i have literally nothing else bad to say about this place. The lamb ribs were so fall apart tender, juicy, with a smokey spiced flavor. I had the best french fries with garlic aioli, and the eggplant crisps were so soft yet crispy, not dry at all and a bit sweet in the best way possible. I will recommend this place to anyone who asks me where to go eat in nyc
Excellent flavors on all the dishes. The salad had a nice variety of veggies and the dressing complemented the greens nicely. The chicken is cooked and seasoned to perfection. Can't go wrong with any of the appetizers and I especially liked the humus. Cheesecake dessert was a great way to finish off a hearty, delicious meal!
Lovely group lunch. Group shared a collection of mezze - I enjoyed the pita, hummus and kibbeh. For main, the heirloom tomato, cucumber, watermelon, shallot, mint and feta salad with labne and hot mint tea. Dish was fresh, well balanced and delicious. Waiter was very attentive to food allergies and dietary restrictions and patient with our large group as we figured things out. Enjoyable lunch - thanks!
By far one of the best restaurant experiences that I’ve had in NYC this year! Came here with about 6 people and ordered a wide array of dishes. Everything was delicious but what really stood out were the eggplant dishes plus the dips - I’d definitely get these if you’re looking for some options. The drinks were also great but not the star. Service was perfect though the food took a while to come out. Looking forward to coming back soon sometime in the near future!
Ilili opened my eyes to the world of Lebanese food. Came here for a birthday dinner and was so impressed by the quality and taste of the dishes. Not to mention, they were very attentive throughout and even packed a small sauce container for us to have with our leftover chicken. Will be back!!
This place is truly remarkable! The ambiance and atmosphere are perfect for any occasion. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive. Our server patiently explained everything we wanted to know about the menu. We ordered the hummus, kebab kerez, Brussels sprouts, and baba ghanoush. The baba ghanoush was simply one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. The baklava and Turkish coffee were also delicious, but you can’t truly experience Lebanese dining without trying the white coffee. This restaurant is a hidden gem in New York City. Don’t miss out on the opportunity to make a reservation!
This was my best dinner of the year so far. The raw steak tartare wrapped in mint leaves with onion was the best way to eat raw beef—the rich beef flavor balanced perfectly with the refreshing mint and sauce. Every other dish I tried was impressive, especially the hamachi crudo and the meatballs in yogurt sauce paired with Lebanese rice. The waiter was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant itself is spacious, making it a great spot for both gatherings and dates. My only small complaints were that it was a bit cold inside, and the lighting was dim that it made me sleepy.
The staff is accommodating and so attentive. They helped my party celebrate a special occasion. We ate a hearty meal in the range of 50-75$ per person. They have a beautiful bar and lounge area at which you can wait for your party or your reservation. There are plenty of vegetarian options and they serve unlimited pita bread to accompany your dishes.
I love this place! I've been here for Christmas Eve dinner the last two years, and it has always been excellent. The portions are generous, and the food is incredibly tasty and flavorful, with a great variety to choose from. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it perfect for the holiday season. The service is top notch, very attentive, friendly, and quick to accommodate any requests.
The food, the drinks, its vibe, and its service is all wonderful! When you first walk in, you immediately feel like you're at an incredibly high end restaurant. The couches near the bar all feel very cozy and welcoming, and seeing everyone just sitting there and chatting gave me such a heartwarming vibe. At the welcome area, there are almost always 2 or more staff waiting to greet and lead people to their seats. The staff were all incredibly friendly and attuned; filling our waters and replacing plates within a very short amount of time without asking. In regards to the food, I have to say that I am not too familiar with Mediterranean/Lebanese food so I honestly did not have any expectations walking in whatsoever. Our group of 10 decided to order food family style and boy was that the best idea ever; not only do we get to taste a little of everything, everything was extremely delicious! The sauces paired perfectly with the entrees and meats, and we all had fun sharing all the foods together. Definitely get the mixed meat platter for 2, for it came with so many high quality cuts of meats! Please give this restaurant a try and it'll be a perfect place to bring your date/family! Thank you for reading and good luck! (:
Fantastic spot for Mediterranean food. From the high quality and tasty food to the excellent service, it is an excellent option. The appetizers are excellent, definitely get the grilled octopus. Lamb chops and scallops were also very good as well as the desserts, baklava in particular.
Right by my office while visiting for a work trip. Sat at the bar, staff was so friendly very professional. Drink was awesome, got an appetizer was cheese in phyllo dough- very good and salty could use a dip but great as is. Duck shawarma was incredible! Will be back on other work trips
Ilili has been on my wish list for some time now, so I was looking forward to our team dinner and wasn’t disappointed. We ordered a variety of starters which were all very tasty. Standouts were the kebab kerez, Brussel sprouts & baba ghannouj. For my entree I ordered the stuffed grape leaves cocotte which was also delicious. Everyone else in my party of 8 seemed to really enjoy their dishes. We capped the night off with the candy bar, baklava and basque cheesecake…which were great. Service was very good and ambience was pleasant albeit a little loud. Overall it was a great dining experience and will definitely go back.
This is one of the BEST Lebanese restaurants in NYC. The food is so delicious and authentic. Every bite is full of flavor and rich and satisfying! Customer service is excellent. The atmosphere is very elegant and nice. I wish I could give more than 5 starts! So good! Also, they have great selection of Lebanese wines that are really good.
My favorite Lebanese place in town! the service was a bit of a miss, but the food made up for it. We came in as a large party of 30+ seated in the private second floor dining room. Food was phenomenal. My favorites include the rkaykat, beef kebab, branzino (yes!) and brussel sprouts. I have to give a shout out to the Lebanese rice. Amazing. The chicken kebab was bit overdone, the kibbeh/steak tartar was strangely oily, and the knafe dessert was a bit calorie dense. Service was slow, many in our party did not receive their sodas until halfway through the meal. water was refilled for some at the table, but not others quite strange. all in all, can recommend and would come again.
The restaurant was fancy and our waiter was super nice! I came here for brunch and ordered the ilili country style breakfast to try everything- falafel, hummus, etc. The food was delicious and had a generous portion! The lamb sausage was the best and the balloon-like pita bread were sooooo good!👍
Had a great experience at ilili NoMad. The Mediterranean food was flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly made with care. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and thoughtfully balanced. The atmosphere was quiet, comfortable, and relaxed—perfect for an unrushed lunch or a conversation without having to talk over the room. Service was excellent throughout the meal: attentive, polite, and never intrusive. Overall, a really enjoyable dining experience with delicious food, a calm setting, and great service. Would definitely return.
Ilili is truly a special place and a must-visit every single time I come to New York. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is simply stunning — elegant, warm, and vibrant at the same time. The location alone already sets the tone for an unforgettable experience. The service is outstanding: professional, attentive, and always delivered with genuine kindness. You immediately feel welcomed and taken care of, which makes the entire evening even more enjoyable. But the real star is, without any doubt, the food. Thanks to Ilili, I discovered Lebanese cuisine for the first time — and from that moment on, I completely fell in love with it. Each dish is a perfect balance of flavors, aromas, and textures, prepared with exceptional quality ingredients and presented beautifully. Every bite tells a story of tradition, passion, and culinary excellence. Ilili didn’t just make me appreciate Lebanese food — it made me crave it. Every visit becomes a journey, and every dinner here turns into a memorable experience that stays with you long after you leave. My sincere compliments to the entire team for maintaining such an incredibly high standard over the years. Ilili is not just a restaurant, it’s an experience — and one I can’t wait to repeat every time I return to NYC.
Love this place and have been there 5 times already. Great for any size - parties of 2 or even 12. They were very kind about accommodating my large group with miscalculations in the number of people, and the food is absolutely top notch. Please try their weekend brunch and the Mouhammara dip!
We had nine people for my son‘s birthday. We sat at round table, which was such a treat when you’re in a large group our way it was fantastic. He made suggestions for different items for us to have and everything was amazing. I strongly recommend this place. For dinner
This is one of my favorite restaurants. Everything was amazing. One person in our group had dietary restrictions and they made sure she could enjoy the meal. Truly a wonderful dining experience.
Soooo excited to find Kibbeh Nayyeh here - I’ve been craving it for so long! Mezze dishes were delicious and easy to share. French Toast was very creative and fun. Fattoush was fresh and flavorful. Would come back here, especially for the Kibbeh Nayyeh.
I had a fantastic experience at this Lebanese restaurant on 5th Avenue in New York. The food was absolutely delicious and full of authentic flavors and perfectly prepared. The cozy atmosphere made the whole meal even more enjoyable, creating a warm and inviting space to relax. The service was outstanding as well. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking for great Lebanese cuisine in the city!
Great food and great service. We tried a lot of the food as part of their Journey Platters. The lead waiter was very precise about the food order and managed things perfectly. Definitely a place worth checking out.
As a Lebanese, I have to admit I’m (very) picky when it comes to Lebanese food, as it carries precious memories and traditions. I can truly say that every dish felt authentic and infused with love, reminding me of home in the most beautiful way. My favorites were the tabbouleh, kebbeh and the eggplant chips (modern twist). The sumac margarita was absolutely delicious. The setting is refined and elegant, without feeling pretentious. This is Lebanese cuisine done right in NYC.
If you’re craving real Lebanese food, this is the right place. Also, Fabian is amazing ,very attentive and warm. If you want great food and great service, this is the place to go.Chef’s recommendation!!you won’t regret it!
Already looking forward to my next visit! The Lebanese cuisine was bursting with flavor and beautifully prepared. The grilled octopus and mixed grill are absolute must tries. You can really taste the depth of spices in the beef shish and chicken kebab everything was incredibly fresh. The drinks were crisp and refreshing, rounding out a fantastic meal. Highly recommended!
I just wrapped up the most epic Holiday Luncheon Party from my healthcare staffing company ProMed Staffing Resources at ilili restaurant NOMAD and I'm still buzzing! Jessie Jodet, Private Event Manager extraordinaire, made the whole experience seamless and stress-free. Her professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail are unmatched. We were in good hands! Stepping into ilili felt like a holiday miracle: festive vibes, twinkling lights, and a tree that sparkled like magic. The private room was perfection, accommodating our crew of 30 with ease. But let's talk food… oh, the food! ilili took us on a delicious Lebanese culinary journey. Creamy hummus, mouthwatering fattoush, crunchy falafel... and don't even get me started on the mains (beef and chicken kebab, halibut on squash purée…YUM!). And those crafted cocktails? To. Die. For. The service was top-notch, too. Carlos, our waiter, was attentive and friendly, and Jessica, the manager, stopped by to ensure we were all having a blast. If you're looking to book your next company event, you know what to do. ilili NOMAD is the place to be. Jessie and the team will make sure you and your guests have an unforgettable time.
We received a shipment of food all the way from here to Scottsdale, Arizona — and wow, what an incredible experience! The food was absolutely delicious. Everything arrived uncooked but beautifully prepared, complete with clear, easy-to-follow instructions on how to create the feast. This meal was a thoughtful gift from our colleagues while my wife was hospitalized for over two weeks. At first, I’ll admit I was a bit disappointed that nothing was pre-cooked — but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Once I followed the instructions and prepared the dishes, the results were phenomenal. We felt like we were having a true feast in Lebanon! The appetizers were so fresh and flavorful, and every bite brought back beautiful memories of authentic Lebanese cuisine. My wife, our kids, and I absolutely loved it. It turned out to be one of the most heartwarming, delicious meals we’ve ever had — a true gift in every sense.
The place was really nice. The architecture was really nice and it felt very cool. The food was incredible and I went with my friend and asked for two different plates and shared and it was more than enough. Although this may vary and will depend on how hungry you are. The he prices were fine and the staff extremely kind!
This place is absolutely phenomenal! The hummus, tabbouleh, and kebab kezar were all so flavorful, and the spicy sumac margarita was incredible. The pita bread was warm, soft, and delicious and they even brought out a fresh plate with dinner. Everything was just perfect from start to finish!
One of the best Lebanese restaurants I’ve had! Beautiful presentation and amazing flavors. I’ve tried many Lebanese spots across the US, but this is the only place with a perfect tabbouleh! Fresh, balanced, and authentic. The grape leaves were delicious too, but strangely both dishes weren’t listed on the menu (thankfully we asked the waiter, who was super friendly and helpful). Great vibes, great food, highly recommend!
Came here for Restaurant Week and it’s a perfect choice! $60 dinner with pretty generous portions! The ambiance is gorgeous and mysterious, look at that stunning wall draping from floor to ceiling! Service was good, our server would check in just often enough so we could also thoroughly enjoy the meal and friendly company. The food was so delicious, and the chilled Lebanese wine was very refreshing and really hit the spot on such a humid and musty day. The sommelier who came to our table to describe the flavors/notes was very engaging, helpful, and personable.
We were visiting New York City for the weekend and had heard wonderful things about ILILI. We were blown away by the delicious Mediterranean food they served us. Full of flavor and the quality of the ingredients were exquisite. I recommend getting a reservation if you are planning on going for dinner.
Great looking, lively space with a great bar and plenty of room in the dining rooms, but it gets crowded. Nice wine list, both by the glass at the bar as well as bottles in the dining room with a knowledgeable Somm. Lebanese wines are featured as well as a nice selection of French wines. Large menu and everything our group had was excellent. Tuna tartare and the lamb chops really stood out for me. Nice dessert selection. Happening place right now and it seems for good reason.
My daughters and I enjoyed dinner at Ilili, thanks to a work colleague who mentioned the restaurant. Amber lighting adorned the dining area, giving it a soft and welcoming atmosphere. We arrived at 5 30 pm, and patrons were a mix of businessmen straight from the office and families. Some were dressed in suits and nice dresses while others wore jeans and t-shirts. The dining room had ample seating with round tables surrounded by chairs. There was sidewalk seating as well. The bar was well stocked and vibrant, and the food was excellent. We ordered the hummus and pita, taboulleh, meatballs, watermelon & tomato salad and cashew rice to share. Everything was superb. The hummus was the best I've ever had. It was incredibly smooth. The pita bread was poofed up and fresh from the oven. The taboulleh was a perfect compliment to the hummus. The meatballs were breaded just right, so they were not too dry. They were served with a tasty yogurt dip. The watermelon and tomato salad had red onion and feta and was tossed in a very light dressing. It is a perfectly refreshing summer salad. My daughter had an cucumber lemonade which was cool and refreshing. My other daughter had a Roy Rogers and I opted for mint tea. All were excellent. For dessert, we indulged in the baklava and coffee and were not disappointed. The bathroom had unisex separate stalls with designer sliding doors and a nice sitting area. We will be back.
Here’s a polished and extended version of your review: Exceptional Dining Experience – Flavorful Food, Beautiful Ambiance, and Top-Notch Service. We recently dined at Ilili and had an incredible experience from start to finish. We went all out and ordered a wide range of dishes to get the full experience and it was well worth it! To start, we ordered Kebab Kerez, Fried Kibbeh, Cheese Rolls, Fattoush, Hummus, and Lamb Sausages. The cheese rolls, hummus, and kibbeh were absolute standouts. The cheese rolls came out hot and golden, filled with a generous amount of gooey, flavorful cheese, while the kibbeh was crispy on the outside and packed with perfectly seasoned beef inside. The hummus was velvety smooth and fresh. The lamb sausages, however, were a bit too sour for our preference. And while we appreciated the creativity behind the Kebab Kerez, the cherry sauce made it overly sweet, which didn’t quite work for us. From the mains, the lamb chops absolutely stole the show. Smoky, tender, perfectly charred, and seasoned with just the right kick ; they were so good we reordered them on the spot and even got extras to take home. The Chicken Taouk was another highlight-juicy, flavorful, and paired with a unique and delicious toum that really stood out. The fattoush salad was fresh and well-dressed, a good refreshing contrast to the richness of the meats. For dessert, we tried the Ilili Candy Bar, Knafeh, Basque Cheesecake, and a selection of ice creams. The Candy Barwas a fun and elevated take on a Snickers- rich toffee, chocolate, and crunch all layered perfectly. The Knafeh was beautifully executed, authentic and indulgent, with just the right texture and sweetness. The lemon sorbet didn’t impress us much, it was a little too sharp ; but the mango sorbet was smooth and refreshing. The Basque Cheesecake was also a great finish: rich yet not too heavy. We also ordered all of their non-alcoholic drinks, and they were all refreshing with vibrant flavors. My personal favorite was the one with grapefruit-tart, slightly sweet, and incredibly refreshing. We ended up ordering multiple refills of most of the drinks. The service throughout the evening was excellent-attentive, friendly, and very accommodating. The decor is upscale and stylish. It's also worth noting that many of the meat options are halal, which makes this spot even more appealing for Muslim diners. Overall, Ilili is a fantastic place for family gatherings or group dinners. We'll definitely be returning and recommending it to others!
5 Stars — An Unforgettable Dinner at ilili! Had an absolutely amazing dinner with my family at ilili in Manhattan! From start to finish, everything was a 10 out of 10 — the food, the service, the atmosphere — truly flawless. A special shoutout to our incredible server Chris, and to Ali, who kindly (and hilariously) saved me from confidently walking straight into the employee back room — I was so sure that door led to the bathroom. Thank you both for making the night even more memorable! We ordered a delicious spread: the kibbeh, hummus, baba ghanouj, fresh warm bread, cheese rakakat, and the mixed grill plate — everything was bursting with flavor. Don’t skip the kibbeh nayyeh or the array of toum options — they’re next level. Highly recommend ilili for anyone looking for a top-tier dining experience with unforgettable Lebanese flavors and warm, attentive service. Will definitely be back!
Lovely ambiance and high-quality crafted dishes. The hummus was authentic and salad was crisp and fresh.

We dined at Ilili, and can say that the food and atmosphere definitely lived up to the hype. Unfortunately the service was less impressive. We made reservations, and arrived on time, but were made to wait in the lounge for about 10 minutes, despite the restaurant being nearly empty, as the dinner service was just starting. This was not an issue, in isolation. We were then seated, and there were a handful of other diners in our section, including atleast two we could see seated just after us. We were immediately given water, and a drink menu, but no food menu. We noticed another server quickly attend to the other tables nearby, offering recommendations, drink orders, etc. we waited another 10 minutes (20 minutes after our reservation started), and finally one of the runners inquired if we had been helped. We told him the situation, and he apologized and asked the nearby server if he could attend to us. At this point, we had looked at the menu on our phone and knew what we wanted, so we placed our order. The food arrived quickly, and was very good. Our water was quickly refilled throughout our dining by the attendant, but at no point were we ever approached by the waiter who took our order, or any other waiter. By the time we had finished, we asked the attendant who had been filling out glasses for the bill, and he went to alert our waiter. A different waiter arrived with a desert menu, and left before we could clarify we wanted the bill. He went to attend to the newly seated neighboring table. After all this we finally got his attention and he grabbed our bill. For the level of restaurant, we had much higher expectations for the service. Considering there was a 15 minute grace period for the reservation, it seemed odd we would be forced to wait for nearly 10 minutes in a mostly empty restaurant. The disorganization of the waiter situation also forced us to wait for atleast 15 minutes longer than other tables immediately next to us. I hope the service issues we had were an exception, as the food and space were exceptional, but the consistently poor service from the waiters left a bad impression on us.
Coworker recommended the burger from here and a few of us went and got takeout! Got the American Lebanese Burger and it came with Phoenician Fries. Starting off with the burger, very very good! I loved this burger a lot, the bread was so soft, it was a nicely tender lamb patty, and the sauce on this was great. Not sure what phoenician fries are but they just seemed like regular fries. When taking them out too, they were a bit soggy, but still very delicious. I wonder if theyd be crispy if we dined in. They also gave a side of the sauce from the burger so i dipped my fries in there and that was excellent!
Delicious Lebanese food in the heart of New York. The restaurant is beautiful and elegant. The food is excellent. The only issue, it took them some time to bring us the menu and waiters were coming and going and not paying attention that we didn't have the menus yet. Once we ordered, they served everything pretty fast. It is also very noisy in there. But in general it was a good experience.
Went there for a birthday dinner and had a great time. The ambiance is very romantic and the food was good. The appetizers were small portions but the shish touk chicken entree was literally for two!.. I enjoyed the toffee bar and my friends loved the baklava plus good coffee!.. service was pretty good too.
Ilili offers an upscale and largely authentic take on Lebanese cuisine in NYC. The food is well-executed overall, with clear attention to flavor, presentation, and tradition, and the service was excellent—particularly their willingness to accommodate my request for stuffed grape leaves during brunch, even though the dish is typically served at dinner. That said, the stuffed grape leaves were a miss for me. The use of ground lamb at the base was texturally disappointing; culturally, I would have expected lamb chops or at least larger, tender pieces of lamb to accompany the dish. It may have been the restaurant’s interpretation of a deconstructed stuffed grape leaf—keeping the grape leaves themselves vegan, while serving the traditionally mixed-in ground meat separately—but that approach did not land for me. This is a minor critique overall, as Ilili remains a strong Lebanese restaurant in NYC that clearly values good taste.
We went there for Valentine. The food was delicious, but the portions were very small. It took them 30 mins to get us seated. I dont know whats the point of reservation if tables wont be available in time.
Good Lebanese food with absolutely exceptional ice cream (6/5). Best that I've EVER had in NYC - it was that good. The dolma (4/5), brussel sprouts (4.5/5), and the cheese borek (5/5) were very good. I was disappointed with the mixed grill (3/5). The chicken and meat cuts were very dry, but the lamb chops (4/5) and the kabobs (4/5) were quite tasty and moist. The chocolate and the Arabic milk ice cream blew my mind.
The food tasted immaculate however the service made me sad. The flavors in the muhammara were well balanced between nuttiness, tomato-ish and spiciness. the egg plants were immaculate; loved the sweetness and the chicken was perfect; the seasoning made it a lot nicer. In terms of food, this is high quality Lebanese food in America. While one of the servers would constantly come re-fill our cups which is amazing, the guy who was in charge of our orders was extremely slow. The people in the tables around us came at a later time and they had their main courses before us. While I understand it was a busy time for the restaurant , I think being faster and ensuring orders arrive in a timely manner will be more time efficient both for customers and the business alike
The ambience of the restaurant was definitely the highlight of our Saturday brunch. The service was great and food was good as well. The bread was freshly baked and the lebneh was superb. The falafels were crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. We ordered the Lebanese lamb burger which was cooked perfectly and the shakshuka (poached eggs in a tomato based sauce) was decent.
This is quite popular and busy Middle Eastern/Lebanese place in NoMad. We came early and sat in the lounge area for drinks and small plates/mezza. It was fairly quiet for a while, but then the noise level was going up and up. Difficult to talk. The atmosphere and decor are quite pleasant, the service was pleasant and friendly, but slow. Too busy! We did enjoy the food, no complaints whatsoever. We ordered some mezza, appetizers, and few other items to share. Invariably good. The cost was certainly high, as expected. That was my second visit, and I hope to be back and have proper dinner.
Middle Eastern spot with hits and misses. Ilili restaurant delivers a great brunch experience, though not without a few inconsistencies. The shakshuka eggs arrived in generous portions with rich flavors, marred only by slightly undercooked eggs. Their hummus was truly exceptional, elevated by thoughtful touches like fresh mint fragments. Not all the items impressed equally, the American Lebanese burger fell flat, providing entirely forgettable despite its premium price point. The Turkish coffee offered bold flavor and aroma, while the cappuccino remained pleasant. Service shined throughout our visit, with Carlos providing attentive and friendly care that enhanced the experience. The restaurant's ambiance features a tasteful contrast of wooden tones against a vibrant red, creating an inviting atmosphere. While the pricing felt reasonable for most items, the eggs and burger seemed overpriced relative to their delivery. Nevertheless, our brunch experience exceeded expectations overall, leaving us eager to return for dinner service. Ilili offers a pleasant surprise that, while not extraordinary, certainly warrants a return visit.
The overall experience was good, and it is definitely a place worth coming back to. Although, I think it lacked quality in some of the main course dishes. The chicken main course dish was sub par. It was just boneless pieces with salad in the middle. More than that, it lacked flavor, and the thigh pieces weren’t the best of quality the meat. The mushroom wrapped in grape leaves main course dish was also sub par. Lacked flavor of the mushroom, and was overpowered by the grape leaves. The paella of sea food was excellent, would recommend that! The starters were excellent, especially the pita bread the gave, phenomenal! The steak also was really good. Again, the overall experience was good, and the service was excellent.
Overall 4/5 Food 3.75/5 Ambiance 5/5 Service 5/5 Value 2.5/5 Ilili, Lebanese sharing dishes in a fine dining lens I was really excited to try Ilili since my husband has been raving about it. There were definitely some hits, but also quite a few misses for us and overall, portions were very small. We ordered 10 dishes for 6 people and still left hungry, so I’d describe this as more of a Lebanese fine-dining experience rather than family-style. Here’s what we tried: Rkaykat bil jibneh 4.5/5: The standout appetizer of the night. The cheese pastry roll was flaky, savory, and delicious Moussaka 3/5: My first time having Lebanese moussaka, I didn’t realize it’s served cold, and personally, it just wasn’t to my taste preference Beef fried kibbeh 3/5: A bit dry for my taste and didn’t quite hit the mark Baba ghannou 2.75/5: Not a fan of this hummus, the smoky flavor was too strong for me Mixed grill 4.5/5: The meats were tender and well-cooked, but again, portions were much smaller than expected Hearth-baked loup de mer 4.75/5: Loved this, almost boneless and beautifully cooked with great flavor even without the sauce Phoenician fries 5/5: Some of the best fries I’ve ever had! We loved them so much we ordered a second round Kebab kerez 3.25/5: The sauce was too sweet and overpowering for my liking Tuna tartare 3/5: Pretty underwhelming and not very flavorful. Overall: beautiful restaurant, creative menu, but expect small portions
I recently dined at ilili NoMad and had a really enjoyable experience! Food: The dishes were flavorful and beautifully presented. I especially loved the mezze platter, which had a great variety of tastes and textures. The flavors were authentic and satisfying. Service: The service was attentive and friendly, though a bit slow at times. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu, which helped us make great choices. Atmosphere: The restaurant boasts a stylish and inviting ambiance, perfect for a nice dinner or special occasion. The decor adds to the overall experience. Overall, ilili NoMad is definitely worth checking out for anyone looking for delicious Mediterranean cuisine in a lovely setting. I look forward to returning!
I visited this place for the second time, but it didn’t quite live up to my high expectations. While I still enjoyed the chicken duo, pita, and falafel, the dips - baba ghannouj and mouhamara were a major letdown. Mouhamara was too dry, and the other was bit okay. The fries were also disappointing - soggy and not well-cooked. Despite these minor issues, the overall experience didn’t match the exceptional quality of my first visit.
We went during restaurant week. The vibe was great, and the food overall was nice. We weren’t a huge fan of lamb and I didn’t really enjoy the entrees, but the appetizers were amazing (especially the eggplant). The dessert cheesecake had a strong cheese flavor, which I liked, but the mouhalabiyyeh was just okay
Overall, I would come back. We went for a drink and a few plates to share ahead of a show and it was very tasty. The menu had a lot of good options to choose from but I really enjoyed the falafel and meatball dish. The drinks are very good as well. Our service was okay but our server was very annoyed with us I think. He tried to sell more items (not a problem, that’s his job) but when we politely declined he rolled his eyes. Since we were not very hungry, we only ordered a few plates despite being a party of five. Totally get it, for a 5-top we should have had a higher bill but we were also in and out in under 45 minutes. He was rude and made us uncomfortable. The food was delicious though and I would probably come back for a special occasion (as long as we had a different server). It’s super busy on the weekend so be sure to get a reservation.

My girlfriend and I chose ilili on a New York trip for two simple reasons. We love the cuisine, and the place looked stunning. Like “this will make the week of cold worth it” stunning. And to be fair, from the moment you walk in, ilili absolutely delivers on that promise. The space is beautiful, warm, dramatic, and inviting. You feel like you picked a winner. We arrived a little early, so we were parked at the bar for a pre-dinner cocktail. The drink menu was intriguing and full of ingredients I couldn’t pronounce with confidence, which I take as a good sign. I asked the bartender for a recommendation and we landed on the Beirut and a Manhattan. Both were excellent. Balanced, interesting, and worth sipping slowly. Unfortunately, the bartender’s personality was about as bright as a burned lemon garnish. No smile, no warmth, no sense that we were welcome. It felt less like hospitality and more like she was doing me a personal favor by making a $24 cocktail. That chilly energy ended up setting the tone for the rest of the night. Once seated, things took a turn from “off” to “unacceptable.” As we reviewed the menu, which is extensive and very tempting, we decided to start with a couple of appetizers before committing to entrees. A totally normal request. The server shut that down immediately and insisted we order our entire meal upfront. No explanation that made sense. No flexibility. Just a firm no. I genuinely do not understand how this benefits the guest. Dining out is not speed dating. We want to enjoy the experience, especially at a restaurant like this. It also backfired. We ended up ordering more food than we could eat, spending more than we needed to, and feeling rushed despite the fact that there were four open tables around us for the entire meal. This was not about table turns. It was about process over people. Which is a shame, because the food itself was quite good. The babaganouj deserves special recognition. Easily the best I’ve ever had. Deeply smoky, rich, silky, and addictive. The kind of dish that makes you pause mid conversation and reassess your priorities. And yes, order the fries. It sounds silly at a place like ilili, but trust me. Crispy, perfectly seasoned, and wildly satisfying. Do not skip them. ilili has all the pieces to be a truly great restaurant. A stunning space, strong cocktails, and food that clearly comes from a talented kitchen. But snobby service and rigid, guest-unfriendly policies ruin what should feel like a special night out. Dining out is expensive. Guests deserve to feel welcomed, respected, and unhurried. Right now, ilili feels more interested in controlling the experience than hosting it. I really hope they turn it around. Because if they don’t, diners will do what we plan to do. Find other restaurants that appreciate us, and make sure others learn from our experience. Rating: 🍽 Could be great if they hired a hospitality consultant and reminded the staff that guests are not inconveniences.
Good middle eastern dishes with some creative takes but nothing to justify the high prices. Among those we tried the lamb makloubeh was by far the best - savory, tender and complex. But another negative was the noise level in the back room where we were seated - the acoustics are horrendous and we definitely struggled to have a conversation amongst the noise from the other tables. The front room does seem better, with much higher ceilings if you’re able to snag a table there.
The restaurant is incredibly nice with a large waiting and bar area. A handful of vegan options in the appetizers if modified (no yogurt in baba ghanoush and brussels sprout sauce) and the falafel burger could be made vegan with the buns replaced with the pita. However, the vegan pita was quite hard and dry compared to other Mediterranean restaurants I’ve tried, though the standard pita was well received by the rest of the party but contains dairy. The mouhamara was my favorite and vegan by default. The drinks were good and the service was great. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu and knew what was/wasn’t vegan
A very attractive restaurant with a high-end a high end feel. I wouldn't say it quite matched up to the price point- service was quite slow and the cocktails were disappointing. The food is decent- the duck shwarma was gorgeous, as were the Brussels sprouts and baba and mouharama. I love the puffed bread, but on the whole, it wasn't especially stand out as far as NY dining goes. Good for large groups due to the sharing plate style, or if you want a more glam environment.
Food 5/10 I feel like I’ve had better Mediterranean food elsewhere, with a cheaper price tag. The pita was fluffed up and warm. The shawarma was pretty good, but I forget everything else that we ordered, despite the fact that we ordered a LOT of food. Clearly, nothing really stood out to me. I wish I liked it more because so many of my friends rave about this spot. Atmosphere 9/10 Gorgeous interior, super high ceilings. You enter to a lounge area. Quite dim warm lighting. The inside is a lot bigger than I thought it was, plenty of large tables and small tables too. I love the vibes. The bathrooms were gorgeous too. Service 8/10 Friendly service, attentive too. There was a cake fee so we ended up eating cake in Madison Square Park.
Drinks were great. Staff were excellent. Food was okay, but not great. I had lamb sausages, which were too fatty for my taste. The riz was possibly the best item.
The beef shawarma had a single piece of hard fat that was too large to be eaten. The meat was overcooked and dry. The manager said that it was normal for fat to come out because the meat and fat were cooked at the same time. The other dishes were also mediocre in taste, but the service was good. I gave 3 stars instead of 1 because the manager did not charge for dessert.

It is very unfortunate that i have to write this review. I have been a customer at this place since it opened and it quickly became one of my top 5 favorite restaurants in NYC. It is sad that this is no longer the case. While the food is still very good, there are many restaurants that serve very good food in the city. However, the issue is that the kitchen staff's attention to detail, especially during lunch has completely gone down the drain. I have now had two bad experiences back to back where the kitchen does not pay attention to detail and my meal gets screwed up. It is simple things that are being over looked and there is NO EXCUSE for this to happen. Furthermore, why is the food not being checked before it comes out of the kitchen? Today, I had 2 issues with the one of my dishes and by the time it was made right, I was eating it for desert. While I am very disappointed with all of these bad experiences, I will say that the young lady who is the daytime manager does make a great effort to attempt to make the customer happy. She did give me my lunch for free which was the right thing to do and i gave my server a most generous tip because he did his job very well. After all, there is no reason to take it punish the server for someone else's failure. However, the issue is that this attention to detail problem still exists and I have very little confidence that it will be resolved any time soon. It is the attention to the details that make a good restaurant, great.
Had my birthday dinner here, worst decision. Showed up solo and sat at the bar. I’m going to speak now as someone who’s worked in the food and beverage industry for over a decade. The service here is terrible. There’s 2 service bars which doesn’t make sense because then one bartender isn’t catering to guests. I will say the woman bartender gave more attention even though I technically wasn’t even on her side. I noticed she was serving most of the bar and making drinks for the servers. The guy bartender was only making drinks for the servers on his side but I can tell they’re supposed to share the bar. He never looked at me once. Both wouldn’t even greet people with a “I’ll be right with you”, nothing. It took forever to place an order and when I did it didn’t come out the way I wanted. The food was alright, nothing spectacular but the experience could’ve been saved if the service was halfway decent. I can tell the bar staff is overwhelmed by the amount of dishes on the back bar. If y’all are hiring fast paced bartenders who can actually handle volume and guests please reach out to me. Most likely won’t be back. The vibe/aesthetic in here I will say is fun!

Hello today I made a reservation for party of 5 in Ilili Lebanese restaurant in NYC It’s a shame you the two girls at the entrance and the captain treat is It was a big big rain outside and they …
Specifically writing this review so that it’s online and someone reaches out to me. I went to ilili nomad for Valentine’s Day last night. I booked the reservation two weeks prior for 9:15pm. We arrived late but within our grace period and I also called 20 minutes prior to the reservation to let the host stand know traffic was heavy. We arrived and were greeted by a brat host- dark hair shorter girl. She couldn’t get a sentence out about our table (saying half a sentence then stuttering and saying a different half of a sentence and stuttering again) to which she then weirdly told us sorry no table until 10pm. Okay no problem, we waited at the bar and ordered two drinks (the valentines duo drink special). We sat on the end of the bar. After finishing our drinks I asked the bartender if we could check out that bill at the bar- I wanted to pay for the drinks because my date was covering dinner. So I cashed out and tipped 25%. Finally it’s 10:10pm, I am wondering why we are still not sat when our reservation was at 9:15? So I go back to the host stand and politely ask the same girl what the deal with the table is. She rudely, when I say rude I mean rude, looked at me and said yep sorry maybe 10:30. I mean I walked back to the bar and told my date a little bit annoyed but also confused… is this not why we made a reservation? The bartender (who was extremely nice and made fantastic drinks) heard me speaking and asked if everything was well- to which I told her our situation. She quickly went to the manager. Within 5 minutes someone came up to us and brought us to a table. Keep in mind it’s 10:30 now and the restaurant is slowly closing… so I truly believe if she didn’t interfere we would have never been sat which is crazy to me. We were sat upstairs. Then our waiter came out and in my opinion was beyond sub par for a fine dining experience where not a single check could have been under 400$. 1- it’s only 5 small dishes and we were so rushed they could not wait to bring our courses out once the first course was finished. 2- the restaurant and staff then began cleaning up around us while we were eating. I mean sweeping, clearing wiping tables etc. to me paying over 400$ for a Valentine’s Day dinner that was so rude. Finally to finish off our night, the waiter brought out check. The check had the two drinks that I seperately paid for at the bar on the check. So my date politely said hey I think we paid for these. The waiter took the check back to talk to the manager and came back to say we couldn’t find those two drink being paid for but we will just take them off I guess. Ok thanks but what? I felt as if they almost didn’t believe me I was fully about to pull out my bank account transaction that I had just gotten. So from beginning to end I am not happy with the experience and I thought it was ridiculous. I had been to the ilili in DC but never in NYC and was extremely excited as I love the restaurant interior, food, and everything about it and was looking forward to my valentines date. Thank you. (Manager and bartender 10/10 anyone else we directly interacted with was absolutely ridiculous). I never leave bad reviews.

Nomad's Lebanese Gem: ilili Delivers on Ambiance and Authentic Flavors
I’ve been hearing whispers about ilili for a while now, especially from friends who’ve had memorable evenings there. Located in the bustling Nomad area on Broadway, it’s certainly a spot that makes an impression the moment you step inside. The space itself is quite grand; you're greeted by a substantial waiting area and a sleek bar, immediately setting a tone that's both inviting and a touch upscale. It's truly a lovely ambiance, making it a perfect backdrop for anything from a lively “girl d...
