Make a reservation, especially if you have a party larger than 2 because this place is packed ok ! Parking is hard to find but that’s NYC for ya ! We parked at a garage a few blocks away ($25) and walked back to the restaurant. While you enter, there’s a live band playing music which is cool but it makes the bar area / front of restaurant loud. It’s a bit quieter towards the back. The place is huge and the decor gives “grandma’s house”. Bathrooms were very clean and smelled so good. Now let’s get to the GOOD STUFF !! The food is 1000/10 omg ! The waffle literally melts on your tongue 😛 I would highly recommend the Birria Chimichanga. A bunch of chaotic goodness wrapped together. Portions are great too. I don’t remember our waitresses name but she was so sweet and attentive. The drink menu is overwhelming. There’s an option for everything and everyone. I do like that they break each section down and provide an explanation for the drinks in each section. I can appreciate that. Ultimately, we went with the bottomless mimosa and it did not disappoint. Overall, a great brunch experience. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

We stopped into Tanner Smith’s and ended up heading down to their speakeasy called Polly, which was a great surprise. The atmosphere had that classic speakeasy vibe, lively but not overwhelming, and the aesthetic of the space felt unique compared to a lot of other Midtown spots. Even on a Wednesday night the place was busy with a good mix of people, many on first dates or casual nights out. It felt less touristy than other bars near Times Square, which gave it a more local energy. We kept it simple with food, sharing the chicken tenders and the everything pretzel bites, which hit the spot for bar bites. For drinks, I ordered the Irish Bill and we also tried the Cantinero. Both were well made and balanced, and the bar menu overall had a strong mix of creative cocktails and classics. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made the experience even smoother. Between the atmosphere, the drinks, and the food, Tanner Smith’s stood out as a fun and easygoing spot to wind down after a long day. I would definitely recommend it if you are looking for a good bar near Times Square that still feels a little more authentic than the usual tourist stops.

wow a 10/10 absolutely delicious from the food to the drinks and the vibes! absolutely immaculate! Service was amazing as well, just cant say enough good things about this place. Their brunch is great and prices are so reasonable for nyc! Definitely a gem:))

Staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed to enjoy creating a great experience for guests. Even during busy hours, they managed to keep things flowing smoothly without sacrificing quality or hospitality. Highly recommend Tanner Smith’s for anyone looking to enjoy top-tier cocktails in a cool, comfortable setting. It’s definitely a place I’ll be returning to!

Initially I called and the representative wasn’t too informative. No reservations over the phone, which is understandable. We were greeted when we walked in. Very cute restaurant. Great service. We tried the truffle mac which was 10/10. I wasn't a fan of the truffle fries only because they were soggy vs well done. The peach pancakes are made with egg which is NOT disclosed on the menu. I didn't realize it until I took my first bite. The pancakes are huge and fluffy. I was disappointed that it was made with eggs because pancakes are my absolute favorite. They were nice enough to take them off my bill. An order of two pancakes is enough for two people.

I came here for weekend brunch, and it was packed--definitely make a reservation! I had the smoked cheeseburger with a single patty, and it was fantastic--juicy and cooked perfectly medium. I loved every bite! I also ordered a side of Buffalo tater tots, but they were just okay--I'd say you could probably skip them.

Listen. Worth the hype and I'm not even sure if there is hype ( I feel like there's gotta be right?! Lol)but if there is, WORTH 👏🏾IT 👏🏾!! The food is *salsa dances*. The interior is visually stunning. Now I did have some lingering questions about service but I don't like to draw any definitive service conclusions until I've visited a couple of times so I'll update if necessary. But overall, Worth the hype. Favorite item tasted: Birria Chimichanga Get that foooorrr sureeeee(hopefully it's as good as when we had it) Eat swell friends

The decor, atmosphere, and cleanliness (especially in the bathroom) is excellent. However, the food was just fine for the price point. I felt the pancakes, while by itself tasted good, could have used more syrup for the portion. The spicy burger was not spicy at all as well. Lastly, the service was slow and inattentive but not judging too harshly because you never know what can be happening in the kitchen/restaurant that day.

This is a popular restaurant with great music, festive decor, cute mirrors all over, and dim lighting. Seating is hard and not super comfortable. Staff is nice and attentive but could probably be a bit more attentive. I had the mezcal inferno drink and it wasn’t spicy at all which was kind of a bummer. Also a little too sweet for me. The truffle fries and pancakes were yummy, 2 of us got avocado toast and they finished those, one of us got a Caesar wrap with chicken and didn’t really seem to enjoy it/she had a lot left over. I liked that the pancakes weren’t overly sweet, I think they’d be even better with chocolate chips or banana. It was busy inside but not so loud that we couldn’t converse easily. Even the bathroom is nice, the lit candle was a nice touch!

Update 1/26/26: I could have sworn I updated review. I'm coming back to drop my stars because I returned here on the late night of 1/10/26. The manager (dirty blonde spikey-ish hair) is racist. I have a zero tolerance for racist so I will NEVER return here and I've spread the word out already the night it happened and days following. I'm good. Apparently there were too many people of color there for him and that's not their typical crowd but I guess the rain kept the usual crowd away. It was all good vibes amongst the patrons. No drama, only music, dancing, and nice convo. But the manager, another story. I even saw him have an exchange of words with the dj bc they're were tunes he approved of (afrobeats), not even vulgar music. I'm done. I'm good. Never again. _______________________________________ The service was great. The food was so good. Everyone enjoyed their meal. The drinks were amazing too. I would defly go back.
