The fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, collard greens, and the corn bread was so good. And our server Chelsea was exceptional! She was so friendly, polite, professional, and attentive and made us feel very welcomed. We will be back.

I was at work during lunchtime, and I wasn't quite sure what to eat near my job. I asked my sister, 'Hey, what should I eat?' I decided to check Uber Eats for something different. She asked, 'Do you want some soul food?' and I said yes. She recommended trying cornbread, so I gave it a shot, and I was hooked! I told myself I had to visit cornbread in person to see the atmosphere and experience the real hype. When I finally went to cornbread, I was so happy—everything was delicious! The environment was warm and inviting, and the music, a soulful mix of R&B and oldies, really set the mood. Kizzy, the young lady taking my order, was so friendly and delightful. This place truly has a cozy, family vibe, and I definitely look forward to going back a few more times. Let me not forget to mention that they have options you can eat inside or outside

Came to brunch with my sister. The catfish was off the chain. The collards was perfect the yams were delicious the Mac and cheese scrupcious even the cabbage was great you must drink the southern twang. The staff was a part of my good journey ebraced me with smiles and a great time. Worth every penny.....

Let me start by saying this. Cornbread is my go to spot, there’s been plenty of times I’ve taken the train from manhattan to crown heights just to have lunch here by myself. The staff is friendly the food is good the place is super clean. I love the concept and I’m happy to to see a soul food presented in the way cornbread has it together.

I guess I shouldn’t be surprised that the cornbread was so good coming from a place called “Cornbread Brooklyn “ But there I was being assailed by the flavors and softness of their cornbread. I spent a few years living down South, and I can’t get southern food this good down there. Their fried chicken was flavorful and crispy. The Mac and cheese was maybe a little drier than ya mom’s mac on Thanksgiving, but if she brought this out you’d still have seconds. And that Southern Twang was the Twangiest. Will definitely drop by again

Server John recommended the catfish and it did not disappoint. John was welcoming and friendly. It was crispy with a light batter— moist in the center and fried perfectly. Unfortunately, they ran out of cornbread so I was given an extra side. Potato salad and Mac and cheese were both heavenly. Everything was well seasoned and I loved the flavors. Generous portions. Very spacious and clean inside.

I had a wonderful experience at Cornbread Brooklyn! The food was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and cooked to perfection. The service truly stood out, my server, Casey, was exceptional. She was warm, attentive, and made sure everything was just right throughout my meal. It’s rare to find someone who genuinely goes above and beyond to make guests feel welcome, and Casey did exactly that. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it the perfect spot to enjoy great soul food. I highly recommend Cornbread Brooklyn to anyone looking for not only amazing food but also outstanding service. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Waited to to long, the chefs in the kitchen needs to SPEED it up. Food wasn't ready, they making Uber eats orders while the customers in the line waiting for their food that they placed. 1st time and I really was disappointed. Since my fish wasn't ready, I asked to replace with the fried chicken ( which I really didn't want) I just couldn't wait any longer. Chicken was seasoned very well, potatoe salad was okay, not seasoned enough, "COLLARD GREENS" was not what I expected 😑 , candy yams was not as sweet, and to me missing a lot of the good ingredients. Would I go back again? Absolutely!! 💯 💯

I stop going to this restaurant for 2 years because there’s 2 registers and only one open every time. The average order takes over 5 mins to cash out, so if there’s 5 people on line in front of you. You’re waiting over 25 mins just to place an order. The food overall is good, the cornbread use to be moist and delicious, now it’s very dry and not as tasty at all. It crumbles as soon as you try to pick it up, make sure you have something to drink in hand, you will choke on it now. I ordered 6 cornbread which took me over 20 mins to get, after waiting on line for over 20 mins to pay with only 3 people ahead of me. Once I got to my car, I opened the box and there were turkey wings instead of the cornbread I ordered, I went back into the restaurant, told them they gave me the wrong order and the young lady looked at me like so why are you complaining, like it’s my fault. They all move around like their whole family died the night before. The whole staff needs retraining. No one moves with any type of urgency, just slow and no personality at all. Perfect example of why you need to check on your business as a business owner. And please check your takeout before you leave, this isn’t the first time I received the wrong order.

Was nice to be greeted by multiple workers. Older lady, who might be the owner was preoccupied counting the till and gave me the option to wait or use the kiosk. Ordered the one piece whiting with a side of collard greens(they use turkey meat). It comes with a side of their cornbread. The fish was hot, not much flavor, probably fried when ordered. However the oil (most likely cheap seed oil) is what gave me indigestion. The greens were gritty, likely due to not cleaning them properly. Couldn’t eat it. The cornbread was just ok. Overall, it was an average experience; customer service was good.. the food flavor and portion however was not worth the money ($15+). Will likely not return.

I just couldn't pull the trigger and give it 4 stars because the customer service is so bad .but the food is amazing especially the fried chicken. The collard greens and sweet potatoes. Potatoe salad great .but walking into the restaurant if you ever eaten here before will make you weak in the knees nervous because you just don't want problems and if you had a pleasant day you don't want it ruined. There are two doors if you walk in the one near the cashier you are correct but if you walk in near the corner you will enter a dining room and if you sit down waiting to be served or get information you'll be waiting a long time. you can walk up to the cashier and pray for a smile or a welcome ! order first and if you want to eat in they will take your name and you get up to get your delicious food. There is a waitress but I believe its for if you want extras. If you decide to take out its the same process but instead of seating down you leave through the dining room door.

I was really disappointed with my experience at Cornbread. I decided on the take out option. The decor and dining were really nice but The food overall was bland and lacked the rich flavor you’d expect from soul food. The fish was soggy and while the greens were edible, they didn’t have much seasoning. The only standout was the mac and cheese — it was cheesy, creamy, and had a nice bit of seasoning. Unfortunately, for the price I paid, I expected much better quality and flavor.

I wanted to give this place a 5 star so bad, however the turkey wings was super dry and rough. As per photo, when I was eating the turkey wing and fighting to get meat off the bone I almost chip my tooth and scraped the top of my mouth with the bone pictured. I was able to eat one wing and I donated the rest to the trash can. Great staff and lovely atmosphere, the food for me wasn’t it.

I spent $90.31 on food today for it to be all wrong. I ordered one 2 piece catfish with Mac and cheese, oxtails with rice and peas and collard greens and Mac and cheese. I ordered 2 piece whiting fish with Mac and cheese and collard greens as well. With a peach cobbler. I didn’t get what i asked for. I ordered 3 things of Mac and cheese they gave me nothing but rice. I and i ordered 2 sides of collard greens and they gave me 1 with cabbage. I don’t know if to go orders come with cornbread but i didn’t get that either. The food is usually amazing but idk how they messed up this bad.
