Opiniones de Numero 28 Pizza Brooklyn
You know that dream you had? The one starring owls that walked you home and giant donuts on the go? When you see Numero 28's pillow-sized pastries from the street, you'll know it pays to dream big. I love this place! I can't choose, so I order everything. The narrow entrance, crowded by the display case, adds to the charm of the spot, a little imperfection that makes it feel one-of-a-kind. Run over when you get a chance. You won't be sorry :)
Numero 28 has some of the best pastries in Brooklyn! The Nutella and almond croissants have a gorgeous flaky crust with a soft delicate dough inside.
I took my son and family here for his birthday. We had a great time. Bring cash and make a reservation. However, the food to the wine and service. We had a great experience.
I’ve been ordering from here for a while now, and let me say, I am impressed by their food and speedy delivery every time. Their pizzas are delicious, the bolognese is flavorful and tasty, and the pesto is just outright outstanding. This is a neighborhood gem in Park Slope!
This place deserves more love. Seriously underrated and in my top 3 pizza in Brooklyn. Pricey for a slice but compared to the same cost at nearby pizzerias it’s much tastier. The crust is thin with good quality cheese and a sweet smooth tomato sauce ughhhh so outstanding!!! I also used to work late nights down street and they would bless me so thank you!
They use great pizza dough, and the cheese-to-sauce ratio makes the pizza flavorful and light. I ate a slice of Margherita right outside, because you can tell a lot about a place based on their "cheese slice" -- and I am happy to say they passed my test, and I would love to go back. I strolled by here at 11am after going to the bookshop and I had to go in when I saw they were putting cannolis and fresh baked goods out (haven't tried but want to). I wasn't expecting the place to be as spacious as it was, but there is a large seating section in the back. It seemed a little dark and lonely, so I took my pizza slice outside in the sunshine. A pizza maker, Daniel, was super sweet, and the host/server Stephanie was extremely informative about how much pizza would feed a party of 8. Just for them I wanted to get delivery but they are a touch overpriced. A whole Margherita pie is $30 and the pepperoni or "Diavola" pie is $38. For context, 2 Boots is $26 for their meatiest pie. I included the menu below since you might be able to sling the "dough." Overall, I think their per slice is the better option and well worth it.
If the pizza is fresh, most times, it hits the mark . It's a little different than your typical NY slice. I liked it better in its earlier days when the display slices were fresher. Today, they look like any pizza shop pizza with dried out slices just sitting there. Warmed up , however, the pizza does come to life again but could also benefit with more ingredients. They seem to have pulled back with that, too. Best bet; just order a fresh pie and tell them exactly what you want and how much. The pizza reaches its full potential that way. If disillusioned, it may be worth exploring the non pizza menu. Lots of window pastries to choose from, but for the most part, they look better than they taste.
Numero 28 has some delicious pizza that is true. What else is true their service does not deliver on what they promise. I had large order of 10 pizza placed at 10:30 am and pizzeria promised it to be ready for pick up at 12:10 p.m. I come pick it up at 12:30 p.m guy tells me have to wait 15 more minutes! What do I tell to my business partners that are hungry and lunch time ends at 1 p.m? I had 30 people to cater to and no plates, no napkins nor utensils were provided!!! Unacceptable and this happened twice!!! First time I let it go but second time it is already disrespectful to customer. If pizzeria would tell me ahead of time they won't make it in time I would of chosen another place that could deliver on their promise. There are plenty of great places in the neighborhood!
The place is small and cute, staff is nice. I like the fact that there are quite a few not so ordinary pizza toppings, like fried onions, feta+spinach, etc., although it is a bit expensive. The pizza slices tasted OK, but for example the one with feta barely had any feta on it, and if you are not lucky, and don't get a slice from the middle of the pizza, where there are more toppings, then you basically pay for an almost empty crust. Also, it was very oily, and both my husband and I had a stomach discomfort for hours after eating there, I am sure that it happened because of the plenty of oil they use.
This review is for delivery so no opinion on service or atmosphere. First time trying the food. Pizza tasted fine but complete ripoff for size. Didn’t realize they make oblong pies that are half the size of a regular pizza. $31!!! for an 18” pepperoni pizza BUT that pizza is only 4” wide. So $31 is for a half pizza. Nah bro! And the calzone was trash. Eggplant was not prepared properly so each bite had chunks of astringent and spongy garbage. This place sucks.
