Ate pastry with free coffee in the back. Excellent pastry, service, and dine in.
Literally my favorite restaurant in Manhattan. Super friendly service, delicious food, and awesome ambiance! GO HERE!!!
Food is amazing, but it's a very basic restaurant inside.
Great thin crust pizza and homemade tiramisu.
Family and I go there almost every week. Always is fresh and tastes amazing
Without a doubt one of the best slices I had in the city (and there were many).
Awesome pizza cozy place good wine low prices excellent service
Favourite local place - try their BRICK OVEN pizza and garlic bread👌
Grab bag 4 pepperoni slices, lemon tart, two cookies, say mun
Super delicious pizza and pastries and the price is pretty reasonable! Totally recommend it !! everything tastes like homemade
The food here is great, very reminiscent of pizza that I got in Rome. Everything is very tasty, and the desserts are divine.
Excellent crust and very friendly staff. I was there on a Saturday night and it was really quiet. They have a few tables inside.
Great Pizza. Friendly staff. Delicious homemade pasta. But restrooms were not clean.
Go to for a slice in Park Slope! Grateful they still have outside dining as well.
Don't let the filthy yellow awning fool you: The pizza is top notch for a ~$5 slice
Great Service ! And Great pastries, they are baked fresh every day if you go at night. Free donuts are given
kids love the pizza. really nice place too and cozy
Very tasty! The sauce is terrific and their stove cooks the dough perfectly crispy.
I love this pizza. To me is the beat in Park Slope. Everybody there is friendly and kind.
excellent pizza for just a little bit more money then other pizza places. But its worth it
Pizza was delicious, must try the caramelized onion slice
Best pizza slices you can find in Brooklyn. Authentic Italian recipes.
Best pizza in town! Awesome custard bomboloni as well. Must try!
Delicious pizza and salads as well as great wines. Friendly stuff and good place to bring kids.
On Sat there is a different chef there and my panini was absolutely delicious😋 Staff is super friendly. Thank you!
Wonderful food and the treat you like family. I had the chicken parm (which was not on the menu), and I loved it!
Fantastic pizza (in store & delivery), wide variety of pies too. The Park Slope location also offers amazing pastries and cakes - I never leave without a chocolate bomboloni!
Seriously good pizza and baked goods. The bread is incredible- don’t know how they do it.
Yum! Great grandma slice which I think might be the crown jewel of New York pizza. Also, disregard bad reviews for delivery. This city is a nightmare to get around and if you want pizza and have two legs to get around go get it yourself.
Fresh basil right on my hot right out the oven pizza.... YES PLEASE! Soft, delicious, tasty, mouthwatering slices. My Son loves it too.
Absolutely delicious pizza and pastries here! My friends and I come here for lunch every Tuesday and are always happy to see and be served by Magdalena! Really very good service, and quick also!
My favorite pizza place in NYC. Delicious pizza, lots of options, friendly staff - we’ve tried the other Numero 28 locations in the city and this one is our favorite.
Best Pizza in New York city (yes, better than the ones that usually get a lot of publicity). Great variety, yummy desserts.and warm and friendly staff. Also great for families. A little jewel.in Park slope.
Such a great place for authentic Italian food! The pizza and pastries are delicious and I will most definitely be back! Just wish they would deliver to the other side of the Park too...
High quality pizza and pasta hidden in the guise of a regular New York slice place. Don't let the interior or counter style confuse you the food is really that good.
Fantastic pizza and pastries. A great place for lunch and to grab a pastry for later.
You know what? I usually stop in this area for to pay rent and yesterday I saw some Bomboloni with cream and I decided to try... Good... very good guys, it is fried Bombolone and I swear it's authentic flavor!
The pastries are absolutely scrumptious!! Got a pistachio croissant and it was divine
The best Elephant Ears. The other baked goods are also very good
Excellent pizza. Oblong shaped pizza for big square slices. Very interesting toppings. We love the vegetable slice best, and I have come to love their newer offering, pesto. You don't want to fold these slices to dilute the delicious taste with too much crust. I have had the Sicilian rice ball (forgot the name) which was excellent. Soups are good. In the winter I especially like the chicken soup, which seems home made. They have started adding some very good desserts, mainly tarts,, which they display in the front window. When you could sit at tables, they have large bottles of water in the fridge for you to take. The people who work there are friendly, especially the kitchen guys.. I have found that it would be slightly more pleasant with a warmer approach from the main person at the register.
Had a lovely breakfast sandwich. It was hard to pass the decorated doughnuts and other confections. It was too early for their signature pizza/focaccio which are designed for selling by the slice. "Too early" attests to freshness. BTW great coffee.
The fresh pastries pulled me in but the pasta is what will bring back!!! Amazing Apple Tart. The best I have had in a longtime. The pasta was perfectly prepared for me...al dente....there shouldn't be another way :). The pizzas looked and smelled amazing. We will return again to explore more of this menu.
If you love thin crusted italian style pizza this is the place to be! They are crispy, light and doesnt make you feel heavy! The bomboloni are to die for so fresh and yummy <3
Some of the best pizza in the area. Slices are square instead of triangles, and the crust is chewy instead of crispy, but I love it.
Most slept-on pizza in Park Slope. The plain pie tastes super fresh and has great char on the crust
The pizza is to die for, so good and fresh. Very high quality ingredients. The Patty's are also very good with a great assortment. Very good restaurant.
You know that dream you had? The one starring owls that walked you home and giant donuts on the go? When you see Numero 28's pillow-sized pastries from the street, you'll know it pays to dream big. I love this place! I can't choose, so I order everything. The narrow entrance, crowded by the display case, adds to the charm of the spot, a little imperfection that makes it feel one-of-a-kind. Run over when you get a chance. You won't be sorry :)
Numero 28 has some of the best pastries in Brooklyn! The Nutella and almond croissants have a gorgeous flaky crust with a soft delicate dough inside.
I took my son and family here for his birthday. We had a great time. Bring cash and make a reservation. However, the food to the wine and service. We had a great experience.
I’ve been ordering from here for a while now, and let me say, I am impressed by their food and speedy delivery every time. Their pizzas are delicious, the bolognese is flavorful and tasty, and the pesto is just outright outstanding. This is a neighborhood gem in Park Slope!
This place deserves more love. Seriously underrated and in my top 3 pizza in Brooklyn. Pricey for a slice but compared to the same cost at nearby pizzerias it’s much tastier. The crust is thin with good quality cheese and a sweet smooth tomato sauce ughhhh so outstanding!!! I also used to work late nights down street and they would bless me so thank you!
Delcious Roman style pizza. Pleasant atmosphere, family friendly.
A slice is a bit pricey but it tastes good and there's a cozy dining room in the back.
It's a nice "fast pizza". Pizzas better than the average. Higher prices, but better place to stay and better food.
if you get the mushroom pizza, theyll drizzle truffle oil on top (by request). So good.
An upgrade from your typical pizza by the slice. Light and crispy thin crust, flavorful fresh toppings. Not usually a wait, and comfortable seating area in the back.
Great pizza if you're in the park slope area. Workers are super friendly and interior is nice. Slices available at the front with a seating area in the back. Also the option of ordering a whole pie to yourself and you can watch it being made in front of you from the dough to when they take it out of the oven. Defenitely worth a try.
Great fresh noodles. Went with friends again. Must recommend homemade spinach fettuccine with butter sage and the white fettuccine with 4 cheese sauce. Ambiance was severely lacking. Had a depressing vibe, but food was good and service garners no complaints.
An unassuming pizzeria on 7th Ave. We dined in (there's seating inside) and tried 3 different squares. All great, and very reasonably priced. Will be coming back for sure while we're in the area!
They use great pizza dough, and the cheese-to-sauce ratio makes the pizza flavorful and light. I ate a slice of Margherita right outside, because you can tell a lot about a place based on their "cheese slice" -- and I am happy to say they passed my test, and I would love to go back. I strolled by here at 11am after going to the bookshop and I had to go in when I saw they were putting cannolis and fresh baked goods out (haven't tried but want to). I wasn't expecting the place to be as spacious as it was, but there is a large seating section in the back. It seemed a little dark and lonely, so I took my pizza slice outside in the sunshine. A pizza maker, Daniel, was super sweet, and the host/server Stephanie was extremely informative about how much pizza would feed a party of 8. Just for them I wanted to get delivery but they are a touch overpriced. A whole Margherita pie is $30 and the pepperoni or "Diavola" pie is $38. For context, 2 Boots is $26 for their meatiest pie. I included the menu below since you might be able to sling the "dough." Overall, I think their per slice is the better option and well worth it.
Pizza was very Lunchables-esque. Server was fine. Ambiance was meh. It was empty which I guess was fine.
Classic Napolitano pizza. Thin crust is perfectly crusty but nothing super special. Decent price. Good slice to grab and go. Will say it's better veggie slice than most places. Instead of the weak 2 vegetables slapped on top of cheese, the slice has about 5 vegetables! Thank you for understanding vegetarian needs. Decor meh. Music my God couldn't stand. It's a pizza place. Don't expect a lot. Grab don't stay.
Pizza was good, I would order again. It did arrive room temperature with a soggy crust… But that’s understandable with delivery. However, AVOID with all your strength, the desserts! The cheesecake was possibly the worst cheesecake I have ever tasted. This would include some sort of Entenmann’s store bought frozen cheesecake. The cheesecake from 28 taste like pizza grease and a bad refrigerator unbelievably horrible taste. Make different arrangements for dessert :)
If the pizza is fresh, most times, it hits the mark . It's a little different than your typical NY slice. I liked it better in its earlier days when the display slices were fresher. Today, they look like any pizza shop pizza with dried out slices just sitting there. Warmed up , however, the pizza does come to life again but could also benefit with more ingredients. They seem to have pulled back with that, too. Best bet; just order a fresh pie and tell them exactly what you want and how much. The pizza reaches its full potential that way. If disillusioned, it may be worth exploring the non pizza menu. Lots of window pastries to choose from, but for the most part, they look better than they taste.
Numero 28 has some delicious pizza that is true. What else is true their service does not deliver on what they promise. I had large order of 10 pizza placed at 10:30 am and pizzeria promised it to be ready for pick up at 12:10 p.m. I come pick it up at 12:30 p.m guy tells me have to wait 15 more minutes! What do I tell to my business partners that are hungry and lunch time ends at 1 p.m? I had 30 people to cater to and no plates, no napkins nor utensils were provided!!! Unacceptable and this happened twice!!! First time I let it go but second time it is already disrespectful to customer. If pizzeria would tell me ahead of time they won't make it in time I would of chosen another place that could deliver on their promise. There are plenty of great places in the neighborhood!
The place is small and cute, staff is nice. I like the fact that there are quite a few not so ordinary pizza toppings, like fried onions, feta+spinach, etc., although it is a bit expensive. The pizza slices tasted OK, but for example the one with feta barely had any feta on it, and if you are not lucky, and don't get a slice from the middle of the pizza, where there are more toppings, then you basically pay for an almost empty crust. Also, it was very oily, and both my husband and I had a stomach discomfort for hours after eating there, I am sure that it happened because of the plenty of oil they use.
Nice atmosphere, but place need new chief. Pizza is still mediocre ((
The pizza was ok and the cake wasn't very good. I had two slices of pizza plus a slice of cake and it was $25. I was shocked I went back asked for a receipt and they overcharged me.
I ordered an eighteen inch round San Tomasso pizza with wide crispy crust, a swirl of tomatoes and mushrooms for $34.50. A very nice picture was shown of what I wanted right on the menu. False advertising! What I got was a soggy, oval, sauce drenched pizza with dense undercooked crust. I need about a twenty dollar tefund for this. Cesar Salad great, meatballs very good, quinoa salad nice, but not worth $87.00 in total delivered. Sad…….
Not sure why all these reviews are so good for this pizza spot. The pizza was quite small (its square, not triangular) for 3 dollars and it was too salty! The seasoning was alright but not exceptional. The store was too dark and smelled bad. The dining area is cramped. I would recommend another pizza place.
Meh. There set up is inviting with the pastries by the door. Its alright. The garlic knots are the best thing there. I think there are better places in the area. Never tried their pastas so maybe they do better there.
Good service but the pizza just wasn't that good. The cannolis ,however tasted more traditional and I enjoyed them. If I ever come back it's only for the cannoli.
Chicken Parmesean was tasty but rubbery and the broccoli florets were over cooked, making them inedible.
This review is for delivery so no opinion on service or atmosphere. First time trying the food. Pizza tasted fine but complete ripoff for size. Didn’t realize they make oblong pies that are half the size of a regular pizza. $31!!! for an 18” pepperoni pizza BUT that pizza is only 4” wide. So $31 is for a half pizza. Nah bro! And the calzone was trash. Eggplant was not prepared properly so each bite had chunks of astringent and spongy garbage. This place sucks.
Do not go here purely on the fact that it’s a place selling slices of flatbread and calling it pizza.
Review for online order. Ordered 2 pizzas today (March 27th), using their website, received email confirmation & card was preauthorised. Waited and waited. No pizza. Looked on seamless, to find they are ‘closed’! Why accept orders?! Want a refund. Edited: restaurant called to apologize and pizza arrived 3 hours late.
Yesterday my husband bought soup here. As he was eating he almost swallowed a stone that was in the soup! When he brought it back to them, they gave him a hard time. They said he probably put it in the soup! It’s one thing to make a food preparation mistake. It’s quite another not to own up to the mistake and to accuse the customer. Needless to say, we will not eat there again.
They don't get fresh pastries daily as they put the ones from the day before in the fridge overnight so unless you luck out and they just got a delivery your pastries will be kind of stale if not stale. I was told around every 3 days they have new pastries I hope this changes.
Awful. Most unreliable. I placed a pick up order for Sunday and the person at the counter said they open at 11 and the order will be ready by then. On the door it says they open at 11 too. When we went to pick it up the next day the guy inside wouldn’t open the door or come to the door to speak to us. Disgusting behavior!
Delivery was super quick, about 15 minutes before our anticipated time, which was great because we were hungry. We ordered 2 regular marinara pasta dishes and 1 arancino. Arancino was ok. The pasta dishes were horrible. The meatballs didn't seem all the way cooked. The tomato sauce tasted acidic and rancid as of they used bad tomatoes. The sauce tasted lole vinegar to me. Never ordering again from this place.
Terrible delivery experience. Everything about our order was wrong. We ordered a pizza and a salad. Pizza arrived ice cold after 90 minutes of waiting. Turns out the store wrote our address down wrong on the delivery ticket (despite us entering it correctly online) which caused an extended delay. The delivery person showed us the wrong address on the ticket. The salad was supposed to have chicken and no cheese. It arrived with cheese and no chicken. When I called to complain and ask for a refund the lady answering the phone had a serious attitude and claimed the mishap was due to the weather. Right. They finally agreed to send somebody back with a refund. Of course nobody showed.
The worse experience Ever!! I am italian I know for sure that uncooked mushroom , no mozzarella & uncooked red sauce thrown on top of a "capricciosa" pizza all messed up is not right! They promise a new one - never happened I would love for you to see the picture of it. They took off option to post pics.
The delivery is 'immediate refund' level. Croquettes are so flabby they are disgusting to eat. Must have been made the day before or worse. The pizza is not bad but the delivery must be sorted.
