Opinions de Bangkok Degree Brooklyn
Delicious food, beautifully presented, great decor, and really nice staff. Only criticism would be to make sure food comes out at the same time for everyone in the party, but I’m sure that will improve with time as they just opened. Will definitely be back and start ordering from them!
The lunch special here is incredible. You get an entree, salad, and starter for $13-15 before tax. I had chicken drunken noodle, salad, and a spring roll. The drunken noodle and salad were both really good but not exceptional. The spring roll however was phenomenal. It was extremely crisp with a good sauce. The location is also really cute. A great place for a date.
Bangkok Degree has a comfortable level of noise with very friendly staff. The food is fantastic too!
Love this place. Food was delicious and really unique. Service was exceptional and it’s in such a beautiful area in Park Slope. Highly recommend ✨😍🍲😋
Highly Recommend! Our server Mink was lovely and had great recommendations. The kids ate everything and said it was awesome.
ugh the food was soooo good! I got the crispy pork fried rice with the lemonade and it was *chefs kiss*. service was super good too! Will be back!!
I stopped by Bangkok Degree on my way home from a long walk in Prospect Park. The hostess seemed a little cold or maybe annoyed at taking my to go order but the food was made pretty quickly. We ordered pineapple fried rice, chicken satay, mango sticky rice and Thai coconut pudding. The food was absolutely delicious - it was well seasoned, flavorful and very enjoyable. While waiting for my takeout order I saw several other dishes come out for other patrons. Everything looked delicious and I am looking forward to dining in. They have a few options for gluten free, vegan and vegetarians.
From the moment I walked into Bangkok Degree, I knew I was in for something different. Although I noticed the "Grade Pending" sign at the entrance, I decided to trust my instincts and I’m glad I did. The greeting was warm, the vibe inside felt relaxed and welcoming, and the food? Let’s just say I will definitely be back. I started with the Zabb Wings, and they were so flavorful and crispy that I ordered another batch to go. The clear broth soup with chicken and vegetables was clean and comforting, perfectly seasoned and not too heavy. For my main dish, I chose the Thai fried rice with both shrimp and chicken. The portion was generous and every bite was packed with authentic wok-fried flavor. If I had to point out one thing that could have been better, it would be the soup spoon situation. I had to use a regular spoon for soup which took away from the experience just a bit, but not enough to spoil the meal. Overall, Bangkok Degree impressed me with both its flavor and hospitality. A strong nine out of ten. I usually stick to what I know, but this spot has me excited to explore more of their menu on my next visit.
This classic restaurant is a must-visit. The food is always delicious, and while it can be spicy for some, it’s always a hit! I love having them in the neighborhood.
A beautiful small Thai place with a big menu. The portion sizes are generous and fairly priced, the food is delicious and spicy, and the service is kind and fast. I had a tuna tartare salad for lunch, which was one of the best tuna tartares I've ever had. Definitely one of the best thai places in Brooklyn. The decor is very cute, and all the food is served with beautiful preparation. I highly recommend this restaurant for brunch or dinner!
Life changing. This is my favorite restaurant in NYC. It’s the first time I try it but I am sure of it. First off, the drinks were tasty but not too sweet, the Massaman curry was my favorite plate. Savory and sweet (but like the drinks not too sweet). The wings were amazing, the cashew stir fry was delicious and the drunken noodles were finger licking good. Lol. Highly recommend.
I had a great experience at Bangkok Degree last night. I wasn’t hungry as I had dinner at another restaurant on Union St. I haven’t been to that part of town before, I noticed Bangkok Degree. a place I wanted to check out for a while given my obsession with Thai food. (How can you note… 😁). I had the Larb Tuna Tartar, a rich flavorful raw tuna salad with avocado on a lettuce base. I loved it and are definitely planning to come back hungry 😋
I've passed by this place a few times on bike but never thought to go in... until a friend of mine wanted to meet for dinner, specifically for Asian. As I've had my full of Chinese and Japanese for a while, thai was the next choice. I'm so glad we went! Started the meal with the Zabb wings and Roti Massaman. I have a thing for dry rub wings (less mess, less napkins) and these were some of the best I've had- light heat, strong flavor of cilantro and lime. Delicious. If I had a critique it would be for the roti, as there wasn't enough pancake to dip and sop up all that wonderfully incredible deliciousness in a bowl. My companion started scooping with remaining broth, then just picked up the bowl like a coffee cup it was so good. My green curry chicken was up to the standards set so far- not a heavy or overly spicy curry, but light and tasty, and all the veg garnish- eggplant, bell pepper- were thankfully cooked right, not overcooked to mush. My companion had the pineapple lychee crispy duck- absolutely delish but much bigger than you would think, with a good heat level. I had to help bail him out at the end, and I loved every bit I got to sample. Somehow, they got duck skin to stay (reasonably) crispy covered in sauce. My friend had wine, I had the very refreshing thai lychee iced tea, a nicely refreshing drink on a warm summer night. I'm looking forward to taking the roommate and other friends there, so glad it's another gem I've found in my neighborhood.
We came here for a casual Saturday lunch before NYE, having read quite a few glowing reviews in various articles and local newspapers. Needless to say, we were very impressed. The green curry chicken was on the spicy side, but this didn't overpower the dish's flavor or aromatics, and I heard only good things about the Pad Thai. Remember to order a Thai iced tea or coffee with your meal, as they do these very well here. Next time we'll go during the week - a weekday lunch special gives you a choice of a few of the flagship mains along with a selection of appetizers for the same price as a standalone main.
Came here for a late lunch on a Sunday and we were seated immediately. It’s super cute inside and the service is very friendly. All the food was amazing. I’ve been looking for a go-to Thai spot in this neighborhood that focuses more on traditional dishes and this is it! I’ll be sad when this place becomes impossible to get a seat at because it surely deserves that kind of attention 🥹 We got 2 apps and 2 mains and that was way too much for 2 people but I’m glad we got the assortment of food we did. What we ordered: Zaab wings - crispy, tangy, juicy. Reminds me of Taiwanese popcorn chicken. There’s almost no batter. Probably dusted with corn starch or potato starch before frying and maybe lime powder? For the extra limey zest. I loved this appetizer! Papaya salad - perfect! It’s pretty spicy and tart. Lots of peanuts, which is personally my favorite part. Chicken khao soi - hefty portion, delicious curry broth, very tender chicken leg, pickled mustard and raw red onion toppings were great. The noodles were cooked al dente and some of the noodles came fried which soaked up all the curry 🤤 Short rib massamam curry - so so so good. Super fragrant and savory with cinnamon and star anise aromas. There’s even a whole stick of cinnamon in the bowl. A bit sweeter than the Khao Soi. Really big portion. Came with 3 ribs! And a side of rice. Topped with some type of root vegetable chips for crunch.
We had the most wonderful Valentine’s Day here! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was so warm, the staff was so kind, and it was decorated in such a fun way!! Loved it!
Love this place, the food was appetizing and not too pricey. Our server was beyond welcoming and nice, she gave us her favorite recommendations and I couldn’t be more glad that she did, they tasted great. The Moo Ping is to die for. It’s the perfect appetizer, the flavor of the pork was sweet and crispy and not overly cooked, it was my first time trying it at the recommendation of our server, but it’ll be the reason I come back. The Salmon Stone pot was also good, they make with a fried egg in the pot, with rice and saffron under the salmon, it was definitely a hardy meal. The River Prawn Green Curry was also delicious. It was a bit hard to get the meat out of the shell, but the taste of it was so creamy and delicious. The Massaman curry and pad thai tasted as you would have expected, but the wonton skin in the pad thai instead of the noodles was surprisingly great. The mojito was great as well, I got mine virgin and it was the perfect amount of lime and mint. The dessert, oh my god, the dessert, it was so good. The custard was not overly sweet or savory, but with the sauce and the sticky rice, it was just amazing. The dessert, the Mooping, and the servers are what will bring me back to this place. 10/10 will come back
This place is absolutely incredible! Hands down the best Thai food I’ve had in Brooklyn. Every dish my friends and I have gotten here has been delicious - you MUST end your meal with the Thai tea crepe cake, it’s out of this world! Chloe, the main hostess/server, and her family are incredibly kind and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We’ll be regulars here!
Absolutely LOVED this restaurant! The food was outstanding though I wish I asked to get it spicier lol. We got wings, drunken noodles, moo ping, and a salmon and rice dish. All were delicious. I got a signature cocktail, it was strong, delicious, and priced accurately for the neighborhood.
My brother was feigning for Thai Food; Bangkok Degree delivered. Excellent dishes overall. The one dish that could have used a smidge more tweaking was the Beef Rib Massaman Curry. It needed to be braised more, but the flavor profile for the curry was on point. Onto the excellent reasons to return. Proper Thai Ice Tea, coffee and the show stopper original was the butterfly pea lemonade; get these if you are a fan. For starter apps we had the Zabb Wings which were a little small but very tangy & tasty. The Roti with Potato & Onion Massaman Curry was quite tasty. The Roti is unique for its fried texture. You will have extra Curry leftover to carry over into dinner from this app, since the Roti is inhalable. Dishes my brother & I enjoyed most are the Penang Curry with Crispy Pork Belly and a left field winner was the Collosal Crab Meat Fried Rice, it's served with a spiced garlic vinegar and lime that should be added to your preferred tolerance. But man what a flavor amalgamation, tangy citrus, shrimp paste based with Crab and fluffy egg. Very DELICIOUS. Wish we had room for dessert. We will return for the duck and dessert next time. Service was welcoming , smiling, gracious, & friendly. The food came out quickly given these were large dishes. Great restaurant & staff. Come here for a great Thai meal.
Easily the best Thai food I have ever had. Restaurant has beautiful decor and relaxing music. Attentive and very friendly service. We got a few drinks (yummy Thai ice tea and green tea) and appetizers. The entree size were more than generous. Authentic flavors with very fresh ingredients. Prime rib massaman curry was a show stopper- the prime ribs melts in your mouth accompanied with scrumptious curry. We’re so full but couldn’t resist the dessert which was also sooo delicious! Highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely return many times in the future!
Checked out this place for a friend’s birthday lunch and it’s the best choice we could’ve made! I was really looking to coming here when my friend suggested this and it did not disappoint at all. The service also made this place top-notch in my books because you don’t find this everywhere. First, the dishes were not only well-displayed, but also lived up to its taste. My party of five got three starters: 2 orders of the Quail Egg Wontons (one order comes with two skewers of three wontons each), Chicken Satay (plated with 4 skewers and some toasted bread) and the Thai Herbed Fried Chicken. I’ve never seen the Quail Egg Wontons offered elsewhere so it was definitely a new and unique item to try! The Chicken Satay was as expected. The Thai Herbed Fried Chicken didn’t have as much of an herb taste as I would have liked, but was still decent being friend chicken. For main dishes, we got the Kua Gai, Colossal Crab Meat Fried Rice, Steak Stone Pot and Massaman Curry to share. The portion sizes were larger than expected so we were stuffed by the end of this meal. My personal favorite was the Colossal Crab Meat Fried Rice as I could actually taste and see the crab meat in it. The Steak Stone Pot was also good, but I will say it is a bit spicy. The spice isn’t the lasting type though, which makes the dish enjoyable. My friend really enjoyed the Massaman Curry, but it is on the sweeter side so it depends on your preferences. As for drinks, we got the Lychee Thai Iced Tea, Thai Iced Green Tea, Butterfly Pea Lemonade and Pink Milk. The Lychee Thai Iced Tea and Butterfly Pea Lemonade are more like light refreshers. I really liked the Thai Iced Green Tea which our server (who was lovely!) had recommended to me. It has a bit of a floral touch to it that I thought was unique, though it was a bit too sweet for my liking. I suggest that if you order it, to ask for it to be less sweet if possible! We did not like the Pink Milk so would not recommend that. Our server (I think her name is Ploy based on our receipt) was SO sweet and just kind throughout our time there. She gave us some candy at the end and it was some pretty lightly fruit flavored candy (I’m not usually much of a candy person, but it was a good lil treat after our meal). We also asked her to help us take a group picture at one point and she even tried to angle things on our table better (A+ camerawoman right there)! Lastly, just as we were about to leave, she found out that it was my friend’s birthday yesterday and that’s why we were there. Turns out, they have something complimentary for birthdays and she literally told us “sit back down, I can’t let you leave like this.” This got us all excited and they went back to bring out a sparkler candle and fried ice cream, which we enjoyed before we left. I would totally come back here even just for the amazing service and nice environment. Highly recommend checking out this spot if you get a chance! They only opened a month ago so you won’t regret checking this place out :)
I recently visited this Thai restaurant, and everything from the food to the service was outstanding. The dishes were full of authentic flavor — perfectly balanced between savory, spicy, and sweet. The Pad See Ew was rich and satisfying, and the curry had just the right amount of heat. The staff were warm, attentive, and made sure our table always had what we needed. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making it a great spot for both casual dinners and small gatherings. Highly recommend if you’re looking for genuine Thai cuisine and great hospitality!
So glad we tried this place out! Definitely make a reservation beforehand - I made one day of, and I’m so glad I did because it got packed quickly. The decor was cute and lively, with lots of hearts for Valentine’s Day. The crispy quail egg wontons were pretty tasty, and I really enjoyed my drunken noodle with beef. It had the perfect level of spiciness, and the beef was tender with a lovely char on it. The only thing was that our drinks didn’t come until halfway through our entree. Heads up, they ask for cash for tip vs. card, so bring some if you can.
This spot is definitely a hidden gem! They have the juiciest “fall off the bone” Prime Rib Massaman Curry! The Sizzling Duck Basil, and the fresh Salmon Green Curry are flavorful as well. Don’t miss out on their mouthwatering appetizers like the Tender Beef Jerky and the fresh Larb Tuna Tartare. Elevate your dining experience further by pairing these exquisite dishes with their selection of handcrafted cocktails, designed to complement each bite beautifully. Food was very good! The Drunken noodle was the best I’ve ever had! Perfectly flavored with the perfect amount of spice. Pad Thai was sweeter than I had hoped, but still good. The resturant is nicely decorated. It’s also a bit small so it was noisy with all the talking going on. FYI, I came with a moderately big group and they charged a mandatory 20% tip. Tip was cash only.
My boyfriend took me here for Valentine’s Day and we had a lovely meal! We got spring rolls and veggie dumplings which were both so good. I got panang curry and he got drunken noodles which were good portions and also delicious. Our server, Yatika, was very nice and attentive, and so were the bussers and host. We’ll be coming back!
Lovely decorated place. The flavors with curry and coconut are as good as expected. The crab fried rice is top rated and our favorite. Service is impeccable. Definitely will go again.
This Thai restaurant in New York honestly feels like a little piece of Thailand. The food tastes truly authentic, just like what we eat back home. The menu is very diverse, so there’s something for everyone. The Massaman curry beef ribs were incredibly tender and full of flavor — definitely a must-try. The Tom Yum soup was delicious, warm, and comforting, perfect for cold weather and so soothing to drink. There was also a stir-fried beef dish (not sure of the exact name), but the beef was unbelievably soft and cooked perfectly. And the highlight for me was the stir-fried curry powder dish — absolutely outstanding, even better than many places in Thailand. They also have a great variety of drinks. The owner is very kind and welcoming, and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed, making you feel right at home. Highly recommended for anyone craving real Thai flavors in New York!
I had such a great experience at Bangkok Degree! The food was fresh, flavorful, and honestly even better than I expected. The crab fried rice was packed with real crab and had that perfect balance of savory and fragrant — definitely a must-order. The wings were crispy, juicy, and full of flavor, and the tuna ceviche was so bright and refreshing that I could’ve easily eaten a second serving. The staff was super friendly and the vibe was relaxed, making it an easy place to enjoy good food without any fuss. I’ll definitely be back!
I recently dined at Bangkok Degree with a friend, and it was a delightful experience! From the moment we arrived, the servers welcomed us warmly and provided attentive, friendly service throughout the evening. The drink menu was impressive, and we especially enjoyed their new cocktails—creative, refreshing, and perfectly balanced. For appetizers, we ordered Moo Ping, fried wontons with quail eggs, and fermented fish papaya salad. Each dish was reminiscent of authentic Thai street food and packed with flavor. For the mains, we chose crispy pork basil and Pad Thai, both of which were delicious. The crispy pork basil had the perfect balance of spice and crispiness, while the Pad Thai was flavorful and had that authentic taste you’d hope for. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot for anyone craving authentic Thai food. I’d recommend making a reservation if you’re planning to visit during the weekend prime hours, as it can get busy. Definitely worth a try!
Amazing food! Service is quick and their menu is easy to read with lots of pictures. We got moo ping, tom yum soup, and picanha stone pot. The spice level is mild, which was perfect for me since I don't handle spicy food very well. The only thing I didn’t like was that the rice in the stone pot was cooked very dry. Also, it may have been because of how it was served in a pot, but the rice portion seemed much smaller than I expected.
Amazing experience at Bangkok Degree! We had the Drunken Noodles, Prime Rib Massaman Curry (so tasty and rich), Sizzling Duck Basil, and Chicken Lamb — every dish was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and cooked perfectly. The portions were generous and the presentation was beautiful. Our server Wit, who was super friendly and attentive, and Yo, our food runner, made sure everything came out hot and fresh. The service made the meal even better. We’ll definitely be back!
We order take out from here often but dined in before too. The things we order most often are the Larb Salad, the Tom Kha, the short rib either in Khao Soi (as pictured here) or the curry version, Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, basil rice. I like how they have the options of crispy pork belly and crispy duck but after trying it 3-4 times, it's almost always overcooked and dry. Almost like it's been refried several times and becomes tough. Instead I'd recommend the rib since it's pretty tender. Definitely get Khanom Tuay if you like coconut, mochi-like, dessert.
Food was good — flavorful and good amount of spice, but tofu was a bit too chewy and some of the veggies were a bit undercooked. We had the roti massaman, green curry with tofu, and drunken noodle with tofu. Interior was cozy and pretty with the flowers and neon-light sign. Tables were all a bit close to each other. Service was quick and attentive. Barely any waiting time for food. Didn’t try any special drinks but their menu had some unique, fun cocktails and a few non-alcoholic options.
Great food! But we were crammed in there so tightly that I could not physically get to my seat, and I felt like we were literally sitting next to strangers. I could hear clearly the convos of my neighbors, so I can’t say that it made a good date spot. With a few adjustments this place could be great!
Stopped in for a pre-theater dinner. The place was empty when we arrived, but got busy quickly. Reservations are a good idea. My fried rice with crispy pork was very good. Jasmine tea (with a tea bag) was nice on an autumn evening. The Massaman curry (with mock-duck) was very good as well. We thought about dessert and were given options, but oddly, we were told there was no time for dessert because there were other people waiting for our table. Hustling people out is not a good thing.
The place is small and cute. The service was excellent. The menu has interesting dishes that makes the place feel authentic. The roti Massaman was very good but I wish the sauce was more spicy. The fried quail egg wontons lacked flavor. The Massaman curry was delicious however the beef was a bit tough and chewy. Definitely would come back to try more dishes.
The food was pretty good. I would definitely eat here again. There was just something missing which is why I gave it 4 stars. We got the roti for appetizer which was delicious. The mango avocado salad dressing had a smell to it which was a little weird but other than that it was good. My husband got the pad Thai and duck which was pretty good. The lychee Thai tea was delicious.
Had been here for the first time. Very cute decor and a warm small place. We started off with butterfly pea lemonade and volcano wings. The lemonade was very refreshing. Volcano wings were good, not very spicy. I wish they didn’t serve the wings on a bed of carrots and drizzled some spicy sauce on it instead. For the mains we got green curry with chicken and salmon stone pot. Quantity was ample. Green curry was soulful. Stone pot had sizzling Tom yum rice, salmon and eggs. It was super hot because of the stone pot. Good food. The lady who took our orders seemed very indifferent to us maybe because we are south Asians. She was much more friendlier to the Americans. Don’t think I will be going back.
I ordered the panang curry with tofu but the flavor was not what I expected. It lacked punchyness and savory taste. The rice was very dry and unpleasant to eat. The spring special, sizzling seafood platter was mostly sweet and the flavor was not nuanced. The roti they have is the crispy flaky kind. Service was attentive and it was well decorated.
Used to be amazing. Took friends here. Got takeout from here all the time. Last time we got it, wasn’t as good, this time even worse. Oily pad Thai. Half full rice. Uncooked potato in curry. Won’t be going back but is fine for takeout.
Kha Soi is one of my all time favorite dishes and, while I don't expect it to be as good as it is on the west coast, what I was served was gross. The curry was extremely sweet. It was as sweet as the Thai iced tea I ordered (which on its own was good). I'm not exaggerating. My first taste, I thought the tea was coating my tongue so I cleared my palette with lemon and water. Turned out it was just that sweet. I started to feel queasy and was on the verge of vomiting. The waitress was kind and swiftly offered to give me something else but I declined because I couldn't imagine taking a bite of something without hurling all over the table. I don't know if the coconut milk/cream they use is sweetened or if the cook accidentally used condensed milk. Whatever it was, it was vile and I hope they make the necessary revisions to never do it again. I paid for everything and had to walk around for over an hour to get my appetite back.
Got the wings, thai tea and ribs bc of the previous reviews. Like someone said the soup for the ribs was very sweet. The meat was a bit overcooked. 2/5 I don't recommend it. The wings were good. 4/5 Thai iced tea is authentic although has a bit of a bitter taste. 3/5 The service was a bit holey. I was a solo diner and they never gave me a small plate for the wings. I waited several minutes and then I asked for a plate twice. They served other tables plates for appetizer. The servers were nice but not attentive. Also I got the leftover to take home and as I was exiting the restaurant noticed that the bag was leaking. When I went back to the store no one apologized but they took forever to give me a new bag. It was a subpar experience.
I was very underwhelmed by their delivery. I felt like they rushed the delivery and it reflected in the food. I ordered panang curry and the veggies were really undercooked, the chicken was sparse, and the broth was like water. I mind as well have ordered soup. We also ordered prime rib massasam curry and the container was leaking sauce. It was not packaged well.
Excellent food, terrible hospitality. I drove there to have dinner, came in exactly at 9:00 PM, the host immediately told me I only have 30 minutes. I told her Google says they close at 10:00 PM, she said no, so I left. Aside from advertising wrong hours, that's just not how you GREET A CUSTOMER !
My boyfriend and I went here for dinner and was left very disappointed. First off, when we walked in and took our seats, it took about 15 mins before we got the menu and water. When we asked for a waitress to take our order, we were given the wait sign and an annoyed look to another waitress. (When we went the restaurant wasn't busy with only 3 other pairs of people). We were looking to find a non-alcoholic drink menu but never received it. The couple next to us wanted a drinks menu but received 3 food menus not a drink menu. I ordered Pad see ew and my boyfriend ordered the Beef Jungle curry with chicken instead of beef. When we got our orders, I have never seen a more non-curry dish in my life. It was at the texture of a miso soup. The curry tasted terrible. All I tasted was basil and spice. Nothing else. To top it off, we were only given a fork for my boyfriend's non-curry. When I looked to ask for a spoon, I was also given an annoyed look and the wait sign for another 15 mins once again. (I get it working in customer service is not fun. I didn't want to bother the waitress for a spoon after the first annoyed look I received but we needed a spoon for the curry.) My Pad see ew wasn't any better. It was beyond salty. Don't get me wrong, I love salty foods but this was salty even for my Asian taste buds. When we asked for the check, we were given another annoyed look and a wait sign for another 15 mins. We finally got the check where the waitress basically threw it on the table and left us. I tapped to pay. (I tipped, as much as I didn't want to. American habit). I went up to hand the check to the waitress by the cashier and was given another annoyed look and was told that I didn't have to get up to give it to them. This restaurant just felt like they cared more about aesthetics than quality. I was very disappointed because I love Thai food and have been to some great restaurants. I was expecting better from the 4.7 stars they had on Google.
Got take out on 11/25/25 and it was awful. We’ve eaten in and taken out before and it was always delicious but last night everyone’s dish had no flavor. I’ll never eat there again.
Update: I’m scaling down my initial review based on how I was treated today. I usually come here after my therapy sessions across the street. I didn’t have time to sit through lunch due to a meeting so I asked for a takeaway. I told them that I would have to take a few bites of my food as I was starving and didn’t want to pass out in the train. Alas, my order arrived and I was immediately told I could not have a few bites of my food inside. I asked if I could do it outside and they hesitated. I asked is that because they thought I was a delivery person, not that they should treat delivery people this way. What kind of discriminating and odd policy is this?! Sorry I was dressed casually in yoga clothes with my darker Asian complexion but that was intolerable. The new person felt awkward and ended up handing some water as I took three bites of the pad see ew out in the drizzling rain. I left immediately after curbing my hunger. But yeah, colorism and racism in 2023. Apparently just doesn’t happen whenever I’m back in Asia. Gutted. —- Great lunch deal and happy hour! I like pad see ew more than pad thai so I ordered one here. It was good - noodles were firm enough to hold the dish together, flavors were balanced, and the Chinese broccoli was crunchy! Service was swift and smooth too. Pretty chill spot in the neighborhood. I get why this is a staple around here.
My final night in NYC turned out to be a major letdown. I had eagerly anticipated enjoying Thai cuisine with my mom, as we are both dedicated vegetarians. Specifically, we ordered drunken rice noodles with tofu, hoping for a memorable vegetarian meal. However, our excitement quickly turned into dismay when our food arrived after a 15-minute wait and we noticed an odd taste. In an attempt to clarify, we questioned the restaurant staff about the dish's vegetarian status. To our surprise, the server assured us that it was indeed vegetarian and even mentioned the option of including meat or chicken if we desired. Trusting this information, we proceeded to eat, only to discover later that the dish contained chicken, completely contradicting what we had been told. The realization left us utterly shocked and deeply disappointed. It was disheartening to have our final night in NYC marred by a dining experience that disregarded our dietary preferences. Furthermore, the restaurant staff did not appear to demonstrate much concern or attentiveness when we informed them about our strict vegetarianism. Additionally, their inability to distinguish between chicken and tofu was both unsettling and unsettling.
food are ok, but their service is horrible, had a dinner reservations at 5:30pm, arrived on time. and RUSH YOU to leave at 6:15pm!!!! The server came to interrupt us at least 6 times in 45 minutes! and they been honest about they need the table turn over (No one waiting for table). WOW... Seriously Manhattan can have 1.5 hours for 4 ppl. This Bangkok degree wont let you enjoy your dinner for not even one hour! All they want is 2X% from customer for every 45 mins. I wont go BACK AGAIN.
