Opinions de Pino's La Forchetta Brooklyn
We really like this restaurant. It was so cute and had like a family Japanese atmosphere. We got the fiesta roll., nikka roll, crispy duck lunchbox special, and some sashimi and sushi. Everything was so fresh and delicious. The service was really nice and attentive. My favorite part of the ambiance was the beautiful carafe for sake. For Park Slope, I was blown away with their prices/value. Soft drink was only $2 and you could get a REALLY good sized meal and a beverage for under $20!
Food is okie but not the top quality. We ordered spicy tuna combo and spider roll which are really so so. Spider roll is barely the side of a regular sized roll. I enjoy the eel hand roll thou. Truly they can work on getting better quality fish and food. Service is nice. They are friendly and quick. Nothing to improve there except a little more attentive. Ambiance can add a little updating. The table is not comfortable as well as the chairs. Again quick dinner spot and right price.
Yamato means big on English, besides big. it keeps up with the name, in another note, the octopus has this lime essence 👌. Enjoy
Decided to order in as a weekend treat and try a new restaurant in my neighborhood! This was some of the best sushi I’ve had in a long time. Everything was fresh. Good quality fish. And my order was delivered in less than 30 minutes! Yamato will officially be my new go-to local sushi spot. P.s. How cute is the soy sauce dish that they sent?!
Serving sizes and pricing was very generous! Staff were friendly, attentive, and quick. Their lunchbox special is something I hope they keep around!
My friend invited me to dine at Yamato. Both the food and service were excellent. The owner and waitress were very friendly and accommodating. Definitely a hidden gem and the best in the neighborhood.
Best Yaki Udon I had in NYC and I ate Yaki Udon at over 100 restaurants. The service is impeccable and very friendly. This is also one of the most affordable places for lunch special I have been to.
Fish was super fresh and really high quality, plated differently and equally pretty every time I go Staff were very nice and polite, I'm not a fan of these fancy sit down restaurants but even going in after school or work looking like an absolute mess didn't feel like I was being judged or anything. Don't love the seating but it's mostly awkwardness bc it's a very open space & I go alone. Very few people around when I've gone Spent $40 including >20% tip for the dinner size sushi and sashimi platter with miso soup every time I've been. As a pretty big guy its a good size, I haven't had more than a couple small snacks food-wise before I go for lunch there & I'm completely full after eating there. I know they have a lunch version that's less than half the price but it has smaller portions so I haven't gotten it Absolutely luv this place food is so good and not outrageously expensive. Spoiling me sushi-wise & now I eat here so often most other places are just disappointing.
This is the first time I’ve eaten Japanese and I loved it! I’m sure my meal wasn’t as adventurous or authentically Japanese as it could have been but I’m very restrictive in my choices. I don’t like trying new foods so I tend to go safe with meats, textures and flavors that are familiar to me. With that being said I had the curry chicken which was amazing! It’s made with coconut milk, juicy slices of mango, potatoes, string beans, bell peppers onions. It’s really the best thing I’ve ever had. It IS a bit spicy, so I added a bit of extra coconut milk to tone it down for my husband and son. I do t know what dress they use on their sale but I love it. The spring roll is a little bready for my taste but again the dipping sauce is perfect. The brown rice that comes with the meal is complimentary. The only thing I didn’t like was the miso soup. I couldn’t get past the smell, and it really didn’t taste good. So in the future I will opt out of the soup.
I ordered takeout and the service was great. They even offered me water as I waited for my food. When I finally got to indulge in the food, it was SO good. Loved it! I'll be back again! P.S. The picture doesn't do it enough justice but it was amazing! 👌🏽
The food was great, prices are decent and the service was very good. The waiter was very friendly and funny. We had a great time and there was not one thing we didn't like.
Such a lovely place for sushi, sashimi, noodles, and rice dishes. Eat in, or take out, it’s equally good. I especially love the pineapple rice with chicken. So delicious.
Sit in the backyard! The service was great, super nice waiter. The food was so good. Get the blue fin sushi! It was about $7 market price the day i went, but had to try to and it did not dissapoint.
We had a variety of things from Sushi to Curry chicken and everything was amazing! And beautifully plated.
Great sushi at an appropriate price point. I loved the tuna pieces, nice fatty flavour that melts in your mouth. Me and my group also had some sake, that the waiter recommended, to go with the sushi. It was a delicious pairing. The waiter also made sure we always had what we needed, it was great service.
Service is lovely and prices are very reasonable. Fresh, clean, tasty food. It’s a great place also for a calm dinner you can bring a book and stay a while and nobody bothers. One of the few places that still care about people and good service and not just rushing people through as quickly as possible for as little as possible!
The app is so much better than door dash and cheaper too and 100% goes to the store which I love. I’ve been going since I was young so that makes me happy!!
This is my family's go to pizza place. The White pizza is amazing. My Dad always gets it with meatballs which are a good size in diameter and tasty. I get the four seasons the amount of toppings is generous and worth the price. The fried calamari is some of the best I have ever eaten. What I like the best about theirs is that is not only rings but, tentacles. YUM! When I do not feel like pizza I get either the veal masala or francese. Both sauces delicious!
I’ve been ordering here for years, the regular slice is what I call a perfect slice beautiful sauce to cheese ratio I cannot say enough how fantastic their regular pizza is. The only thing I wouldn’t order are the chicken rolls (not so good) but if you’re looking for the perfect slice this is the place!
Handsdown best Pizza spot around. Feels like family when walking in there. Joe and team know how to make you feel welcome and serve the best slices around. The pasta is also top notch.
I recently ordered a shrimp scampi on uber eats. It got a little confused when ordering because I thought I would receive pasta with a side salad. Although when I received it was shrimp with a salad. I called the restaurant and the very nice gentleman explained to me and even offered to deliver pasta with scampi sauce to my location (Audi Brooklyn Service) with no charge. Thank you for the amazing service and hospitality. I would recommend to my customers for the near future. Thank you Pino’s
Pino's is the best pizza joint in Brooklyn. (Yes even compared to L&B's, though they're a close 2nd) The marinara sauce is so tasty and the dough has a perfectly balanced crisp bottom and fluffy upper. The cheese is still perfectly stringy after being heated up no matter how long it's been sitting out! >.< Sit here long enough and you'll see your fair share of "real Brooklyn": kooks, locals, families, kids. #nohipsters
Great lunch specials! Excellent price for the amount of food and quality. Pretty empty on a weekday and easily assumed to be closed from the looks. Owner said they’ve been around for 20+ years, must be doing something right to stick around for so long and keep the prices low.
Welcoming servers. Food was good. Wabted the Crispy chicken to be more crispy though. I've been going there since I was a kid. Place is always clean, good food, good people, great service. Will be going back again soon.
Glad to use the Pino app but not sure why I would get charged $6 just to place my order on your own app.
Ordered a large cheese pizza - $20, a pretty good price for this very expensive city we live in. Had a sweeter flavor, which I don't mind, but the dough was pretty floppy and hard to hold. Did not reheat well. The workers were nice, but I think I'll have to keep looking for a good spot in Park Slope.
Decent Japanese food! It felt the servers were hovering quite a bit and watching me, which may have been caused by them being fairly empty on a Friday night without enough to do. Nothing really stood out besides that the location is convenient.
I was working on Valentine’s Day & needed to treat myself to some pasta so I ordered Shrimp Scampi from here. I was excited that the pasta was delivered in a pizza box. Everything was secured and no leaks were there! They even included cheese in addition to the utensils. The portion was great and it was a great ratio of pasta. The only downfall was that it was way too lemony for me. It was just very overwhelming, I even removed the lemons that came on top. There was garlic bread and it was seasoned well, but it was just a bit too hard to my liking (I like soft bread). I feel like it could’ve been that batch and I’m willing to try again!
The food is great, but the service is lacking. Ordered food and sent teenagers to pick it up. Teenagers returned without the desert, even though they complained that they were missing an order. Parental unit had to go down and demand for the food, which the workers did. Not sure why the restaurant had to do that. Not going again - other places for pizza close by.
I've ordered from Pino's maybe 8-10 times, but my two most recent experiences have deterred me from giving them any more business. A month ago, I ordered a vegan cheese, vegan sausage, and mushroom pizza for delivery. It arrived late, but I tipped anyway. To my surprise, it was dairy cheese with pork sausage. I called Pino's to notify them, and the delivery driver returned with the correct pizza, retrieved the older one, and asked me for $10 more, as the vegan pizza cost more. Recently, I ordered a vegan pizza with vegan sausage, tomato, and mushroom. I was missing my sausage, and the price was different from usual, despite typically ordering the same thing. After contacting Pino's, the manager stated he'd take care of me with a free pizza next time. However, when I ordered again, the "free" pizza was just $6 off. They only discounted the sausage, even tho they stated otherwise. Also half of the typical amount of sausage lol. Based on my experience, their customer service could use some improvement.
Will never order from this place again. Ordered delivery and the shake down for a certain cash tip was insane. Did not give me cash back that I requested- just what HE thought he deserved. Sorry tip is NOT required- and if someone ASKS for a certain amount back YOU GIVE IT
Paid over $50 for delivery of a prosciutto arugula pizza and slice of carrot cake. Received a cheese pizza, was refused a refund or any accomodation, was offered a $5 refund after following up a second time despite the difference being $11 and still being stuck with the wrong order. Very disappointed.
extremely disappointed. was a regular customer. I always order Alfredo but this time it happened to arrive completely undercooked. As you can see, the picture on the left, it looks like a soupy mess. I ended up having to reduce the heavy cream myself. I called to report concern regarding the food being undercooked & was told they would remake the food for me. Upon arrival, the delivery driver proceeded to yell at me requesting to give him the dish I initially received. I let him know that I had “recooked” it & he proceeded to yell at me. I am not sure what exactly what wrong but I provided him with the cooked food & he left. Not sure I’d recommend in the future.
I’ve ordered delivery with Pino’s a few times before and have enjoyed their food overall (the previous delivery I ordered was a perfect pie). But unfortunately, my most recent experience was bad. I ordered garlic knots and a personal pie with pepperoni and anchovies (pictured below). I ate half the pizza and all the garlic knots. Everything tasted fine, but about six hours later I felt nauseous. I’ll spare the details but I had a mild case of food poisoning, I believe attributable to the anchovies. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt here but in good faith I am sharing my experience as a precaution. They are hit or miss it seems these days, given other recent reviews.
First time trying Vegan pizza. The "cheese" was slimy and wet so much so that it was sliding off the pizza when I picked up the first slice. The texture and taste were so off and disgusting I threw away the rest of the pie after 2 pieces. Not even 30 minutes later, I had the runs! Never again. I could've just eaten regular cheese for all the trouble.
