Opiniones de Ursula Brooklyn
We visited Ursula on a Sunday for brunch. It was really packed when we got there, but they were able to see us at the bar, which was amazing. We ordered the pancakes, the roasted corn salad and the beignets. Everything turned out really well, I especially liked the blue corn pancakes as well as the roasted corn salad. The place is packed and buzzing, but they also make excellent drinks as well as have really good coffee options so I would definitely come back here to try out their other brunch dishes, as well as lunch or dinner.
The carne burrito was simple and comforting, very flavorful and came out so fast. Also quite big and reasonably priced for NYC. The staff was really casual and nice (not to mention every single person was gorgeous ??) and it seemed like they were all friends n having fun which is the ideal ofc. I sat at the bar. The decor and open kitchen gives you a lot to look at while you wait. Ty to chef who put a lil smiley on my to go wrap I am sorry my face is like that :P Much love from Alaskaaa P.S. the tortilla was so fire and the half that sat in my backpack all day was still intact (n not soggy) when i got back round to it. This isn't really relevant and I don't know how to articulate it effectively but there was just smthing special about the tortilla.
I have been an Ursula evangelist since they opened. At this expanded location on Nostrand, I am even more so. The breakfast burritos have always been incredible, and now with an expanded brunch, lunch and dinner menu, you get the best of New Mexican cuisine with an amazing atmosphere and staff. The food is consistently creative and delicious. As someone who is gluten free, I can eat the majority of this menu with reckless abandon (even the desserts!!). So many great vegan and vegetarian options too. The food is also great as take out. This is the perfect spot for a fun dinner with friends or a cute date night. Can’t recommend Ursula’s enough!
This is one of my favorite places. The food is filled with such love and flavor, and the people who work here are always so kind. You feel cared for by community in this space. They have the best (#1 hands down) breakfast burritos, an amazing burger, and a phenomenal dinner service. The food deserves all the accolades they get and more. Last night I came here with my friend and got to meet and speak with the chef. Thank you Eric for such a special meal!! I have always been a big supporter of your work and values around food, but it was really touching to meet you and your staff. The impromptu olive oil tasting and takeaway goodies (my favorite scone) will always be a special memory. Your generosity overwhelms! I am proud to support and patron Ursula 4eva.
Food is good! Cant go wrong with burritos
Incredible food and drinks, really great vibes, and a nice space. The pastries and breakfast burritos are incredible, and we love coming in the evenings and getting enchiladas and the green chile cheeseburger. Eric and staff are all super friendly and always welcoming. Can't recommend the place enough.
Tried both the vegetarian and the vegan breakfast burrito. The vegetarian one was bomb but the vegan one was good too. One of the best breakfast burritos I've had in the city.
That might have been the best breakfast burrito ever. I mean I could split hairs, like the hash browns could be slightly more crisp, and it might be a little too much on the black pepper but the creamy light eggs and perfect char on the tortilla, good proportions, that’s a winner for real. Cute little dining room, fast and friendly staff, brilliant.
the best breakfast burrito and always sweet staff! food may take a while but that’s only bc it’s made w lots of love and care! no complaints <3
Had their burger and rainbow cake at their Lincoln Center food truck. It was so delicious!! Really great flavors in both. I was so impressed.
Kind and courteous and very good food! I’ve been twice and while it hasn’t been *the best breakfast burrito* I’ve ever had, it’s still really good. Not everything has to be the best, ya know? I’ve forgotten to take a picture each time because I get excited and eat it if that’s any endorsement.
I live around the corner and honesty been saying since forever I wanted to try the breakfast burritos here. I finally did it!!! And I’m not disappointed at all. It was very hot outside and this was 10-11 am. So prepare for a little heat when visiting due to only outdoor seating. Cute small space but no indoor dinning. However the staff are very friendly and the burrito was very flavorful . I honestly don’t think I can finish the whole thing. The size is def shareable if you just looking for a quick bite on the go. Overall very satisfied. You have gain a new customer 😉
My friend who's from New Mexico brought me here for the first time and I absolutely loved it! The 3 of us ordered the chorizo breakfast burrito and it was the best I've ever had! We also got a couple donuts and they were so fluffy and delicious. Will definitely come back next time I'm in BK.
Best breakfast burrito in Brooklyn (that I have had). I’m Mexican, from the southwest—these are the best tortillas I’ve had in years. Love the NM style flavor as well. Cheers.
Just a great place, either for dinner or in the morning for a breakfast burrito
Definitely get some beans in your burrito and a side of the green chile. Trust me on this one. Delicious food and a great staff. Oh, and a banger flat white. TY.
Went after multiple friends recommended it. Loved the New Mexican references from the color schemes to the flag mural on the wall in the kitchen. Got the bacon breakfast burrito, which was perfect with its charred tortilla and green hatch chiles. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in Brooklyn!
Ursula is in my neighborhood and a weekly weekend treat at this point. I have enjoyed everything I've ordered there including items from their brunch and dinner menu. Staff is always friendly and accommodating. You will face the challenge of finding a table without waiting on the weekend. I recommend getting there right when they open or coming by yourself so you can be sat at the bar. Chilaquiles, Vegan Queso and the enchiladas are my favorites. Great hangover cure.
Breakfast burrito lives up to the hype. A little salty, but delicious mixed flavors and textures. A Must get, travel here for it. Chorizo probably a touch better than bacon, if I had to pick. Sopaipillas are also very good and a new food for me (which I appreciate), loved the fried dough and quality inside tok. fried chicken sandwich also good, but I wouldn’t say is a must get, you can get similarly good elsewhere too, but it’s not slouch.
Haven’t dined in as yet but I’m obsessed with their burritos! We’ve been getting their breakfast burritos religiously every weekend for the past two months. The staff and atmosphere are both welcoming and always good vibes!
Had the Sakura Matcha which was light, delicate, and energized me well enough… but the real star here is the pastries. Guava pop tart w passion fruit icing was vegan and one of the best things I’ve eaten lately. It was completely encrusted in sprinkles and immediately made me smile. Don’t skip the rainbow cookies either.
Ursula still has the best breakfast burrito in NYC. Yes, it is a little chaotic inside the restaurant and yes it does take a while to take out, but it’s still worth it, both for the food and the staff working there. We went there this past weekend an hour before they closed for brunch and it was buzzing with people outside waiting for order and people inside. We found a seat at the bar and it was fun to see the kitchen work. It’s messy, but a joy to watch. The people in the kitchen exude warmth and kindness. The food, is amazing and has gotten even better since their days in crown heights. The breakfast burrito is fire and is still the best in the city hands down. We also got the chilaquiles and the red sauce is perfectly balanced and so delicious. I’m so happy this exists in New York City. You’re doing all the right things.
I went for brunch about a week ago and was just blown away by the care and personality that the restaurant has cultivated. Wonderful burritos every time, and I almost died of ecstasy when I ate the chilaquiles (get that vegan queso baby). The head chef was very personable, and Kamran who helped me brought the whole experience together. I ate the food so fast I wasn’t able to take a pic :-( Overall this place slays 1000/10
I love the bespoke drink selection! I got a pine needle mocha here, which was better than what's on offer at most specialty coffee shops. I tried the Xmas burrito. I liked the smoky-sweet red sauce, but the green sauce was spicier than I prefer. If you're into Hatch chiles, you might love it though. I've noticed there are a lot of places in Brooklyn that are a confusing hybrid of self-service and sit-down. Here, you order from a QR code and pay with your phone, and the food comes on a paper plate. It's unclear how you're expected to tip. The QR menu was out of date when I was there (it said some things were sold out that had been restocked), so I ended up with a normal server and tipped accordingly. The paper plates threw me off a little bit, but the food was affordable enough that I didn't mind, and I was really impressed with the warm beverages!
Amazing breakfast burritos, the owner and staff were super nice to top it off. Bar seating was unique and fun to watch the kitchen staff at work. Was definitely worth the hype, will for sure be back 🙏
Consistently great burritos and the queso is 10/10. And if that wasn’t enough the service is always friendly, and helpful. Winning combo for a great local spot.
Been getting breakfast burritos here for a long time. Still a 5 star burrito. However, the switch from chorizo to plain pork was a significant downgrade. Please bring it back!
Their breakfast options are really solid! Delicious coffee, New Mexico style burritos, and tons of pastries to choose from. If you’re used to New Mexico spice levels, then you’ll love this spot. Food was ready pretty quickly on a Sunday morning and there was a lot of outdoor seating.
Had a really good experience here. Great addition to the neighborhood. The food is super nice. Fresh. Tasty and Delicious. The counter snacks are just as tasty as the entrees. It's easy to see that ,the food is cooked with love and care. I really appreciated the coffee service as well. It seems to be .... Cool people, doing cool things. Hats off to the kitchen and staff. Stop by and treat yourself the next time your in crown heights .
As a born and raised New Mexican, the food holds up! I was incredibly happy to taste home in the burrito. Service is great as well. I was quite frustrated because somehow my pick-up order got lost and I was waiting 25 minutes after it was supposed to be ready. However, once they realized what happened they worked fast to fix and gave me a latte while I waited. Sometimes things happen and it’s how you react that matters. Will definitely be back to get a taste of home!
Probably the best veggie breakfast burrito I’ve had. It’s the perfect balanced of decadent and yet satiating with veggies and beans. One of there burritos easily ends up becoming two breakfasts for me. Which is a total win win.
I mean, there is advanced breakfast burrito work happening at Ursula. It’s the same transcendent awesomeness that they established at their original location but with more space and more vibe. The baked goods make it a destination food spot. It was worth the 20 minute walk from Clinton Hill.
I love a good breakfast burrito and love love love New Mexican so made the early morning trek out to this Brooklyn hotspot. It did not disappoint! First, a couple points. This place is popular so you want to get here early. I arrived shortly after 9 when they opened and there was already a bit of a line which only got longer later. And after waiting in line to order, you’ve also got to wait for your food which for me took about 20 minutes. Second, they’ve only got outdoor seating so if you’re not picking up, you want to go on a day the weather’s nice. So onto the food. Yes, their burrito definitely lives up to the hype. I ordered the chorizo, egg, potato, cheese, and NM red Chile. The filling was awesome with the chorizo very flavorful and the red Chile providing just the right amount of heat. The tortilla was also ever so slightly toasted which was nice. I’ll be back! Pro-tip: if you’re ordering via app for delivery, get your order in early. They say they often have to cut off orders at around 8:50am due to volume.
Breakfast burritos for the win! Fantastic sizes and such great prices. Have ordered both in-person and delivery and both were great experiences. Delivery was timely and just as good as in-person. So happy to have this staple in the neighborhood. The vegetarian option was also great! If you’re looking for a filling breakfast that quick on weekdays look no further. Weekends, expect a wait but well worth it.
Truly the best breakfast burritos in NYC, particularly if you’re after New Mexican red and green chile. They also make delicious stuffed sopapillas that are pretty close to those I’ve had in Santa Fe. Expect to wait on line, particularly on weekends, but the wait is worth it. Their pastries are also excellent, particularly the donuts
Delightful. Arrived on a Sunday just before noon and was able to get a table for two right away. Staff was super nice and friendly, they checked in frequently. We shared the blue corn pancakes and the chorizo burrito ahogado Christmas style with red and green chili, both were delicious. We also got some rainbow cake to go and it's the best I've had in a while with a nice jam layer and perfect ganache.
Amazing staff! 🤗 We had to wait 40 minutes for our burritos BUT the staff were very attentive and apologetic. One person offered us water twice even though we were getting takeout, and then gave us a free brioche donut. 🍩 Another person came up to us and told us they would give us a refund because the food shouldn’t have taken that long. Once we got our food, the person gave us another free donut. I was ecstatic to get free food! 🌈 Queer owned, queer staffed. Lovely, bright decor. Traces of the Southwest all over the space. Awesome backyard. Will definitely be coming back!
I’ve been here four or five times and the burritos are always solid. The various cups of coffee are also reasonably priced when you take into account inflation. They range from $3 to $4.50. No indoor seating. Plenty of outdoor seating- about 10 stools, 15 regular chairs. Staff is friendly and efficient. No complaints about this place.
One of the best breakfast burritos I’ve ever had! The green chiles that come inside + the hashbrowns are such a delicious combo. And the final sear on the tortilla pulls the whole thing together. A hardworking, wonderful staff and a truly welcoming environment. Go to Ursula if you have the chance!
The food was very good and authentic New Mexican with real New Mexican green and red chili. Handicap accessibility: Entrance is no step, but does have a small bump There is a step to the bar table, but table seating doesn’t have a step No step to the bathroom Large enough for wheelchair Single grab bar at toilet Knee space under sink
We visited Ursula to try their burritos, and I’m glad we did. The portions are generous, the coffee is excellent, and we only had to wait 10 minutes to secure bar seats. However, I wish the hash browns were a bit crispier and more flavorful. That’s definitely a category where this burrito falls short compared to Santa Fe’s. Despite this, I highly recommend Ursula and will definitely return for more.
Ok this place is freaking amazing! The hype is real. The James Beard is real. The burritos are so affordable and delicious!! I had a michelada with sparkling water and omg the mix was magical! But what made it even better was the service. The manager was so welcoming and nice. The guy at the front helped me with my baby too. Love coming here. Wish I got the corn chowder
Been trying to get here for brunch but it’s always packed and I’m not sure if they take resi’s. It’s local to the crib so we rolled the dice and stopped by. Today was our lucky day and instead of brunch we landed on the dinner menu around 6 (I think they close for an hour between 5-6 for family meal). The food, the ambiance and the service were great and the staff love our little guy, everyone came by to our table to say hi I think because of him! 🥰 the place is vibes on vibes!! Go here the food was unique, carefully prepared and delicious. We’ll be back!!
Don’t walk, run to this gem! Yes, the breakfast burritos are good! Yes, there’s a wait! Yes, it’s absolutely worth it! I had the scrambled eggs burrito breakfast and it was delicious. The hash brown was warm, the cheddar cheese was perfectly melted and toasting the burrito on the outside was the cherry on top. The green chile also adds a nice kick 🔥. The staff is also warm and welcoming!
The service was a little slow, there were too many cooks in the kitchen, literally. lol And not enough people doing walk ups. They seemed to be very busy prep-cooking food or maybe making orders for food app delivery. The person who finally did wait on me was very pleasant. Its a small place but charming decor. The Bfast Burrito was good, not my favorite, but the pastries were AWESOMe. Ill def come back for more or those. Also to try a sit down dinner or lunch.
Drinks were the best part - great spicy margs and other cocktails. Breakfast burritos were good but not enough to wait an hour for a table and the another 30 minutes once we ordered. Also a little sad that the only queso option was vegan. Service was friendly but they messed up my group’s order twice, and I don’t love ordering online at a sit down place. It’s a small space inside so the majority of seats are in the backyard. Overall I’d get takeout if I’m in the neighborhood but wouldn’t go out of my way to return.
Vegan bean burrito was fine but mostly mushy and could have used tofu or tempeh for a texture shift.
The food was delicious. I got the chorizo breakfast burrito… it was packed with so much flavor and well put together. I gave a 4 star rating because the potatoes portion was really small. I inserted a picture of how small the potatoes were!! The drinks were okay I got there in house punch (orange juice, grapefruit, cranberry ,etc)!
I love all the vegan options here! I had a lavender sugar cookie that was insane! The vegan burrito was good but it was a bit mushy and could of used a tad bit more flavor but the service and ambiance amazing.
The vibe is great. However, the dinner menu doesn't have that many options for food. We got the watermelon and tomato salad and enchiladas. The salad had a new interesting taste. It was delicious but probably expensive for getting watermelon and tomatoes. The enchiladas was okay but if I go again, I'll try something else.
this place really sets a high bar for how good breakfast can be but with a few stipulations like waiting for it a while and always wanting for more sauce. granted everything is seasoned well they sell things with a salsa verde or roja but you never really see that color bumping out of it. all the baked goods are fire and worth trying each one. lunch was a little lackluster. the bread was just too wet and the chicken wasn't a 14$ portion.
I loved the breakfast burrito, I got the bacon. However I’m not a fan of American cheese and for a little bit more if they invested in cheddar cheese the flavour would have been phenomenal. All in all though it was a great meal. It was very crowded in there and getting a table was a half hour wait, so I decided against. I was disappointed I couldn’t get the blue corn pancakes that was an item I really wanted to try. The food took about 30 min to come out and while I was waiting I sipped in a drink. A good experience I’ll be back to try what they offer and I’ll book a table in advance. Staff was very friendly
Very cute spot. Got the chorizo burrito and some pastries. Be prepared to wait, I don’t think a restaurant deserves a bad review just because they are busy and you have to wait. I appreciated the outdoor seating. We waited for one hour (there was a long line when we got there and I think it was about a 20min wait for the food, in total it was about an hour to get out food) but I thought it was worth it. The burrito was delicious. They have so many cool flavors of pastries and drinks, you will want to try everything. I got the covenant latte and it was delicious. I’ve never tried palo santo in a drink before and it was surprisingly delicious! Loved the corn sugar cookie. The concha was disappointing, it didn’t taste like rose water at all and it was more brioche than concha. The corn scone was underwhelming. Would definitely love to go back and try more things.
It’s a great breakfast burrito, but 2 slight adjustments would make it waaay better. Firstly, it needs more green chile inside. Second, be more careful about filling ratios and distribution. Ideally, there should be a bit of everything in every bite. I ate half my burrito without a single bit of hashbrowns.
Nice breakfast spot with solid drinks and food. Prices are better than you would expect for a trendy Brooklyn food spot but expect to spend a bit over 20 per person for a meal and a drink. Lookout for wait times but not too bad. Overall; good spot for a nice breakfast but nothing mind blowing and not necessarily a must-return-to spot. Recommendations; horchata tea latte, and carne adovada breakfast burrito
We heard great things about Ursula so we gave it a try. The main downfall was the wait and it took a bit to get our food. However, the breakfast burritos were very delicious and flavorful! I got the bacon and my husband got the other meat option. We also ordered the horchata tea but it was pretty watered down, we weren’t a fan. If you’re in the area and have time definitely order a breakfast burrito!
Came a long way for the Bacon breakfast burrito. Was just average. Really there was only a tiny piece of bacon in it, and it was falling apart and open at each end. Nice people and a cool spot tho. ******Update: I knowwwwww! I loved talking to with yall and I liked the place, that’s why I was bummed the burrito wasn’t that great! 😢. Ps- I said it was good, because I was being nice. But, it really was very average if I’m being honest. To be fair, I’m from southern CA and we have some the best breakfast burritos in the world, imo. I did appreciate the spice in it. I’ll have to come back for a steak dinner!
Ursula Brooklyn was solid across the board. Friendly staff, tasty food, and a nice ambience. The food prep area was easily visible, which was different than van most restaurants but worked for this establishment. Most importantly, the food was pretty good and I was happy with it. Would eat here again.
I have always heard that the breakfast burritos from here are delicious. When I ordered them for takeout they definitely did not disappoint. Make sure you have an appetite, because they are very filling! I had also heard that this place is VERY busy on the weekends and that is true too. When I arrived to pick up my order, there were 10–15 people waiting outside and the inside seating was completely full. It is great to see that they are getting business, but it is something to keep in mind should you want to try dining in.
I was disappointed. I had their breakfast burrito when they were back in crown heights a few years ago and loved it. The chorizo breakfast burrito felt sloppy, with the ingredients not well integrated. One side chorizo and one side thick scrambled egg. I will try again in the future (maybe on a weekday) — the high volume may be affecting the quality.
No, it is NOT worth the wait. Have come here multiple times in the morning and afternoon to see if maybe the 45 minute wait (even though I was first or second in line) for a breakfast burrito was a one-off. Unfortunately, it was not a one-off — it is the norm because the kitchen is just very slow. Most recently, I came for lunch around 3:30pm - I was literally the only person there. Ordered the green chili burger and a horchata - still somehow waited 30 minutes even though there was no one before or after me. For a while I thought they might have lost my order. The sopapilla looks good but does not taste as good as it looks. The burger was great, and so was the breakfast burrito, but they’re not mind blowing or worth the hype or wait.
Takes at least 20 minutes for them to make a pretty simple breakfast sandwich. Waited over 30 minutes this time because they got the order wrong at first. I’d order ahead online but they charge you more for that. The food is tasty when it comes but the service is REALLY lacking.
Walked in and were ignored for awhile until we were asked if we were ordering to go or dining in. The whole ordering process and payment process were done on our phones. Service was slow. We waited quite awhile for our food to come out, though once it did, we were delighted with the colors and the steam coming off of it. Beautiful plates and pleasant aromas excited the senses. The flavor was good, but nothing spectacular. Solid breakfast burrito, but for the price and the wait, I won’t become a regular. Worth trying at least once. The ambiance is unique and ‘cool’. I’ve heard their pastries are incredible, though I didn’t try them this time around.
Told it would be a 45 minute wait. They text us that our table is ready at an hour and 10 minutes. It’s not ready and they just say it will be ready soon. Plot twist it never became ready. I ask politely at an hour and 30 minutes if they could please seat us and they just don’t really care. They definitely seated other people before us who weren’t on the list. I don’t recommend anyone go here. It’s a trap. Just be honest with people it’s not that hard.
Is a $20 burrito worth an hour and half wait? Not in my book. Every time I try to give this place another chance I’m once again left annoyed. I’ve been there when it’s not even that busy and I’ve never waited less than 40 minutes for a BURRITO. It’s good but not worth the price and the insane wait time…for take out. The only saving grace is the hostess who each time has been really nice but it doesn’t make up for the slowness of their service. I might add it took 30 minutes for an americano….
