Opiniones de Yenmenat Brooklyn
The food at Yemenat is absolutely amazing - a real gem in the neighborhood like no other. Every meal is a treat for the taste buds, full of fresh ingredients and great flavors. I’ve tried most of the menu, including the muva fish, chicken fahem, lamb haneeth, kebdah lamb liver, and my personal favorite, shafoot. From the bread and rice to the dessert sundae and tea, everything has been delicious. The team here is really kind and attentive. You can tell the owners put their heart and passion into what they do. I’ll definitely be back soon, and if you haven’t been yet, I highly recommend giving it a try!
Yemenat was an amazing experience! I went with my college friend for the first time and we both loved it! The atmosphere and ambience is very cozy, clean and aesthetically pleasing. The hostess was very hospitable and came to check on our table multiple times and explained each dish to us. She also offered us complementary tea which was delicious. When my friend and I asked the hostess if she could take a photo of us to remember the occasion, she kindly agreed. The food was incredible!! My favorites were the Beef Fahsa and the Hummus. I will be bringing my friends and family here. Cannot recommend enough!
One of my favorite restaurants in the city. I catered from here for an iftar and they helped organize a great meal for us. We were hosting close to 60 people and the portions, pricing, and food were all amazing. All my guests went out of their way to compliment the food and mentioned it was some of the best food they have had here in nyc. Service was great and personal to the point where the chef himself took care of me! I’m looking forward to eating here again soon
I had an amazing experience at Yemenat Restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — especially the lamb haneeth, so tender and full of flavor. The portions were generous, and everything tasted authentic and fresh. The staff were super friendly and welcoming, they made me feel at home and even explained some of the traditional dishes. The place has a cozy vibe and smells incredible as soon as you walk in.
I don’t need to tell you that everything I ordered here was delicious but I will anyway! I had the shafoot, lime juice, lamb haneeth, and sabaya. Everything was amazing, but the sabaya was definitely the highlight. It completely blew me away! Im still thinking about it days later! Highly recommend this place!
I have been four times to Yemenat and this is truly the best Yemeni food I've had across California, DC, and NY. The quality is consistent, elaborate, and elegant. The Haneeth (both Lamb and Chicken) are masterful. If going for brunch, do not miss out on the Foule. Now I know they proudly claim they make authentic Yemeni food (and they absolutely do), but what's inspiring is their attempts at creating dishes rooted in Yemeni cuisine and incorporating elements from other cuisines. The Bent Al-Sahn dessert they just created is otherwordly. TRY IT! Course recommendation: start with Maraq (of course!). Then bring in the Shafoot. After that bring in the main course (I recommend the Haneeth) but you really can't go wrong with the other dishes. Eat the main course with a pomegranate or Zabeeb drink. Lastly, if you still have room, take a bite of Bent Al-Sahn.
I came to New York from Germany and had Yemenat at the very top of my list, and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious, traditional Yemeni dishes served in a modern and creative way. The highlight for me was (the Yemeni sundae) ice cream with nuts, caramel, and Yemeni spices, such a unique flavor and crunch, I’ve never had anything like it. From the moment I walked in, the staff were incredibly welcoming and made sure I felt at home. The atmosphere is great too, with traditional Yemeni music in the background that really adds to the experience. For anyone taking the subway, the restaurant is super accessible, just hop on the Yellow R train and get off at 77 St. Overall, amazing food, warm hospitality, and a vibe that makes you want to come back. Definitely a must visit in NYC!
My sister in law recommended this place because she fell in love with the food after one visit. The food is absolutely phenomenal. We tried Shafoot, Chips Adani, and Hummus as appetizers. The Shafoot has such a fresh herby unique taste, it was my favorite of the three apps. Not gonna lie, when we first got the Chips Adani, my first thought was “these are just fries with sauce”, but after trying it I wanted to drink the sauce. And of course you can’t go wrong with Hummus. I liked the green herb sauce and pomegranate seeds, it was a great way to make their hummus stand out. After delicious apps, we knew we HAD to try one of each protein for entrees. We had Muva Fish, Chicken Fahem, for the lamb we asked the server for their recommendation. We also got another dish but I can’t remember the name, but also amazing. All the food was sooooo good. I definitely recommend the Aseer Leem, everyone at our table agreed it was an amazing drink. I also tried the Adani tea, it’s perfect if you like spiced tea.
Best place for Arabic food in NY city. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Yemenat is one of the best spots for authentic Yemeni food! The rice was fragrant and perfectly cooked, both chicken and lamb were juicy and full of flavor. Portions are generous, and they also served with Salad. Leem Juice is a must , fresh and refreshing. They are offering complimentary tea, which really completes the experience after great meal. The Place very clean with comfortable seats and atmosphere The staff are very welcoming and friendly, passion about the work and the experience , thanks a lot for making the whole visit enjoyable. Definitely I’ll keep coming back to for delicious and authentic Yemeni and Arabic dishes!”
During my travels, I’ve enjoyed countless meals and visited many recommended (and not-so-recommended) spots. But by far, this has to be the best Mediterranean restaurant, and I must add—a proud Yamani cousin’s gem. Clean, friendly staff, and an award-winning menu—no wonder they made the Michelin recognition for 2025. Dare to find another Yamani cousin that comes close to this one. One thing that caught my attention: there were no salt and pepper shakers on the tables. Not that we needed them—it’s just something we’ve grown used to seeing at restaurants. When we asked, the staff politely offered to bring fresh salt and pepper grinders to the table. But with such a flawless recipe, there was nothing that needed fixing. Keep it up—absolutely outstanding!
Tried this Yemeni restaurant today and it was such a great experience! We had rice with lamb and fish, hummus, and salad – everything was fresh and full of flavor. The manager and waiter were so kind and welcoming, which made the visit even better. Definitely a place I’ll come back to 😍😍😍😍😍
Yemenat delivers an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. The food, service, atmosphere, and cleanliness were all exceptional, and everything we ordered was full of flavor and beautifully prepared. 🍽️ Food Quality Every dish was excellent and authentically prepared. We ordered: • Beef Fahsa • Lamb Haneeth • Hummus • Rashoosh (fresh Yemeni bread) Drinks: • Fresh pomegranate juice • Aseer Leem (mint lemon drink) The meats were tender and deeply flavorful. The bread was fresh and paired perfectly with the dishes. The drinks were refreshing and clearly made with care. Everything tasted fresh, balanced, and authentic. 👨🍳 Service Customer service was excellent. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind. Many staff members speak Arabic, which is a big plus in this neighborhood and very helpful for Arabic-speaking guests. Communication was smooth, respectful, and professional. 🏠 Atmosphere & Cleanliness The restaurant is beautifully designed, warm, and inviting. The dining area is clean, well organized, and comfortable. The bathroom was exceptionally clean, including no unpleasant odor, which always reflects strong attention to hygiene and detail. 🥗 Vegetarian Options There is a dedicated vegetarian section on the menu. Options like hummus, vegetable dishes, and sides are clearly listed and well prepared. Vegetarians will find good choices here. 🥘 Dietary Considerations The staff is knowledgeable about ingredients and helpful if you have dietary questions. Dishes are freshly prepared and customizable where possible. 🚗 Parking Parking can be somewhat difficult, as this is a busy area. Options include: • Paid street parking nearby Plan a little extra time if arriving during peak hours. 👶 Kid-Friendliness The restaurant is suitable for families. Spacious seating and a calm environment make it comfortable for children. ♿ Wheelchair Accessibility The restaurant is wheelchair accessible. There is sidewalk access that allows entry into the restaurant, and the interior layout is manageable for mobility needs. ✅ Final Recommendation Yemenat is one of the best Yemeni dining experiences I have had. Authentic food, outstanding service, a clean and welcoming environment, and thoughtful attention to detail make this place truly special. I would highly recommend Yemenat and will absolutely be returning.
oh wow this was maybe a top 10 meal all time. salad: really nice balanced salt and vinegar-y flavor with onion cutting through lamb: slow cooked is the way to go. falls off the bone tender and moist throughout and very flavorful even serve the lamb in a lamb soup of sorts you get your own bowl of the soup on the side bread: perfect bread that comes out warm and crispy hummus: not standout but good when paired with everything shakshuka: really deep flavor on this one with lots of onions not tomato soupy bent assahn: they comp’d us this dessert because of the service but this was maybe the best dessert I’ve ever had at a restaurant ordered for 2 and had little leftovers waitstaff seemed unorganized; they forgot to give us menus, forgot our water, and sent out our main dish before the appetizers. They did comp us with maybe the best dessert i’ve ever had though. All of that for $64 is ridiculous value
Stopped to pick up food for the second time and they didn’t not disappoint. Food always delicious and tasteful. Very generous portions which is also a plus. The roasted lamb with rice was cooked tender and perfect touch with spices . Roasted chicken was also tender and juicy. French fries were fresh and delicious with the adeni sauce. And their bread always so good! Worth the one hour drive all the time.
A wonderful Michelin Bib Gourmand Yemeni restaurant in Bayridge. The large shafoot makes great platform to enjoy bubbling beef fahsa and the other dishes. Muva whole branzino came out tend on top and crispy on the skin , Lamb haneeth a little tougher than I expected. The dishes came out fast and hot, waiter kept waters refilled and we all tried the complimentary hot beverage. A great delicious inexpensive spot to take your family to.
It was our first time trying a Yemeni restaurant, and we were very impressed. The food was incredibly flavorful, bold, and colorful. I especially loved the Hadrami rice. The Chicken Haneeth, a traditional Yemeni dish with tender, slow-cooked chicken marinated in aromatic spices, was excellent. I highly recommend making a reservation, as the restaurant is popular. We’ve visited twice on weekends, and both times it was full and crowded; otherwise, the wait time can be around an hour. The space and number of tables are limited. Portions are very generous — we couldn’t finish everything and took some food home. The pomegranate drink was also great. The only downside is if you’re seated near the entrance — every time the door opens, cold air comes in, which can be uncomfortable in winter. Installing a small vestibule or air curtain at the entrance would really help during winter.
The staff at Yemenat were so gracious with me and my friend! We were a walk-in on a very busy day and still managed to get a table after a very short wait. The ambiance was warm and lively. The food was something to write home about! Absolutely rich and delicious! I had the lamb haneeth and the beef fahsa. Talk about flavor! I wish my stomach could take it all in, but the portions were so generous. Just when I thought it couldn’t get any better? I got dessert: The bent assahan was out of this world! Light, flaky, buttery. My goodness. Thank you so much Yemenat for a remarkable meal.
One of the best restaurants we’ve tried in NY! So so recommended. The young waiter was kind, knowledgeable and professional. The kitchen delivers exquisite meals very quickly and you barely wait. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. You have unlimited homemade hot chai, which is ideal during winter. We strongly recommend trying and supporting this place. We will come back!
Let me start off with the main dish which was lamb haneeth. It was absolutely delicious and the lamb was so tender and juicy. The rice was so fluffy and flavorful. It’s a good serving for two people. We also got the hummus with the flatbread. Although the flatbread was crispy and tasty, the hummus was disappointing. It was very thick and lacked flavor. The adeni chai was perfect as well.
To be honest, the food wasn’t as good as the presentation of the food. We got the kebab Sanani , it was just like oven made meatballs, we tried the Mushakkal Furn, and it wasn’t even cooked, a bunch of veggies stacked together in a pretty way. The Fahsah had a sweet flavor in it. And the only thing we enjoyed was the lamb Haneeth
