Not very many restaurants to eat a on us 79. This is located on us 79 in Buffalo TX. Food was great. They have a buffet on Sundays. May have it on other days. Ate breakfast once there an lunch another day. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Just stopped in at Anthony’s restaurant and had exceptional service and delicious food! Pancakes are the bomb and the homemade salsa yum!!!! Definitely worth the stop when coming through Buffalo, Texas! We will be back and looking forward to lunch! Thank you! This great meal made my day!

We had the club sandwich with tater totes and the chicken tender basket with gravy and onion rings. The food was well seasoned, fresh and everything homemade. The servers were very polite and welcoming. The food is what you would hope for from a small town diner. Prices are very good.

This would definitely qualify as a hole in the wall in most places, but in Leon County it's a local staple. My wife and I live full time in Houston but have some property in Oakwood as our 2nd home. The eating options have been limited to a few places, and we had no idea that this place even existed. I went into the local pharmacy in Buffalo to get a prescription filled and there were quite a few people in line, when it was my turn I asked the pharmacist for a great breakfast place and without hesitation, she said Anthony.'s. I paid for my prescription, everyone in line behind me, proceeded to tell me about this wonderful restaurant that the locals love that we had to try. As you can see from the photos, we were skeptical when we parked, but as soon as we got inside the service and the wonderful smells, took over. They have a ton of breakfast and lunch options and very affordable pricing and the service is what you would expect in the country; if you're driving north from Houston to Dallas take the Buffalo exit and give Anthony's a try you will not be disappointed.

We stopped in here on our way to Galveston for lunch. It’s a nice country feel with the best service you can imagine. They’re very friendly, attentive and you get a good feel of their local, small town love as the staff and locals interact. Breakfast is served all day. The food is very fresh and you MUST try the Bell Pepper Rings!! Highly recommend this place!

Best food in Buffalo! Very generous portion sizes and fair prices! When they say large order, it is absolutely a large! Very clean place. The best service! They have a great team of friendly waitstaff who are on top of things despite being very busy. Absolutely recommend. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend the fried shrimp platter, loaded BBQ brisket potato, onion rings, and mozzarella sticks! Didn't get a picture of the mozzarella sticks because we practically inhaled them, haha, but they were large! Everything was delicious, I honestly don't think you can go wrong here with anything. Can't wait to try something else next time!

What a gem of a place! It was recommended to us by the RV park where we pulled in for the night, and it didn’t hurt that we were hungry! This is down home comfort food at its finest. The onion rings are cooked from scratch! Yum. I had the stuffed spud! I chose grilled chicken, told them to hold the Texas Toast and ordered a dinner salad. The salad arrived first and had lots of little pots with bacon bits, grated cheese, croutons, chopped fresh tomatoes, sunflower seeds and ranch dressing (2). It was so delicious and fresh. Then my ultra large spud arrived with grilled chicken and extra pots of sour cream and cheese. Our very friendly server said “they gave you the Texas toast after all” … well what is a girl to do? Yum!

Great old-school local diner that is extremely southern. The options are affordable and all tasty. The atmosphere reminds me of my mom's kitchen with the 10 commandments on the wall, the first supper painting from the Bible and fox news on the TV (can you say Bible belt, lol?) The service was young and inexperienced but they we're attentive and cared about their tables. If you like Southern cooking this is a great place to stop off the highway on your road trip.

We stopped on our way to Dallas, omelets, and pancakes were good. Huge servings, great prices. Customer service was lovely.

This was a good stop. The food was pretty good, but a great value for the price. The buffet might have better food options than the regular menu.

Great food! We ordered a senior chicken fried steak and grilled chicken potato plate. And good service. But if you are not from the area, others tend to stare. It was uncomfortable atmosphere!

The chicken fried steak was delicious, top 5 I've had in east TX. Taters were ok and the Okra was hot and fresh. Our waitress was awesome! Super friendly and on top of everything.
