Reservamos para 4 personas en barra, el mismo día y intentamos adelantar la reserva y lo hicieron, incluso nos la hicieron en mesa alta para estar más cómodos. El servicio muy atento y amable, los productos de calidad y muy bien de precio.

Fuimos allí por recomendación de unos conocidos y ya que fuimos a Cadiz a pasar un fin de semana, reservamos. Todo exquisito. Para repetir y recomendar sin ninguna duda.

Un buen lugar para disfrutar de su gran producto y excelente atención. Deliciosas tortitas de camarón, impresionantes langostinos y cerrar rotundo con su atún. Muy agusto y excepcional trato. Pasar y visitarlo

Wonderful seafood looking out onto the Atlantic Ocean. Service was a touch frosty, maybe because we don't have fluent Spaniah. Definitely a locals restaurant which is why we were there. It was packed. Food was great. Lovely wines. The grandstand reserva Cava a standout.

Went here for lunch 5 times during our month’s stay in June in Cadiz. Ate at the Bar each time and was generally there when they opened at 1pm. The food was very good and the service was just a little hit and miss although quite acceptable. Prices were good and the dearest part was the wine component. This was because their wine list was excellent and there was a lot of wines we wanted to try while we were in Spain.

What a great place ! I got the impression ..looking inside it will cost a lot. But got in the Tapas part. What a surprise. This you need to do. House wine 3 euro a nice glass and I had the Duck. 10 euro. I not really a fan of to sweet. Sweet potato and a sweet saus is not my thing. But well done I had great service. One that gives a smile on your face. I will get back for dinner .. for now an 100% you must do this

Fantastic restaurant very popular with locals. You have the option of eating at the bar or in the main restaurant with a different menu. Booking online was very easy. We ate lunch at the bar twice - seats extremely comfortable and lots of activity to watch. Highly recommend the fish dishes. Bar tapas choices not all expensive.

5 stars all round, the food is excellent, local classics but modern. The wine list is good. The service is quick and efficient. They can accommodate an ignorant Brit with very little Spanish with an English menu. It’s also so good value!

Went there yesterday with a reservation, got seated in the restaurant which has different dishes with rather higher prices than the bar seats and as shown on their website (at least what I found). However, once noticed they explained it to us and we could change to the bar. Which was eventually a very nice experience, incl. the food part. Would definitely go there again - but again only to the bar.

We started with drinks at the bar. We were a large group and were served a selected menu with several choices for a main course. It did not matter as there were so many starters that I was full by the main and the desserts. The restaurant is lovely and the service is friendly and efficient. The food was delicious and served in very large portions. This is a great venue for large groups. The main floor looked ideal for smaller groups. Great location.

Fuimos con expectativa, porque nos lo había recomendado gente de toda la vida, y nos resultó normalito -quizá porque cenamos en las mesas latas y la carta es diferente. 😃 Lo que más nos gustó fue el rollito de merluza y gambón. 😐 Aparte pedimos atún mechado con mayonesa de coco, un tanto seco sin más; y nos gustó el tartar de atún, wakame y aguacate, y la tarta de limón. 😃 La carta es muy variada y el precio está muy bien -por lo menos pensando comparando con Madrid 😐 El sitio es muy grande, y en sabado a la noche estaba muy lleno, animado pero ruidos y un poco apretado. Hemos cenado esta noche. Destaco el trato de las dos camareras del “comedor interior con vistas”.La barra de ha llenado muy rápido, nosotros hoy queríamos mesa. La ensaladilla de pulpo y las albóndigas de merluza espectaculares.La lubina con salsa de marisco bien, pero tenía otra salsa , no recuerdo el nombre , que para mi era demasiado grasa.El atún con salsa de almendras muy rico .Lo recomiendo y volveremos .

Agosto 2025: volvimos un año más tarde y nos sigue gustando tanto como el primer día. Repetimos el tartar y el magret de pato y probamos el brioche y como unas tartaletas de bacalao, todo con un sabor increíble! El postre también súper rico!! Septiembre 2024: Fuimos sin reserva y nos sentaron en la barra. Mi plato favorito el magret de pato con el puré de boniato. El tomate pensábamos que vendría más pequeño cortado y el tartar de atún muy rico aunque llevaba mucho tomate. Volveremos a probar más platos que ese día se nos quedó corto!’

Cosas buenas y cosas no tan buenas. Como positivo.. El pan muy bueno, y te ponen botella de aceite para que te eches lo de quieras. Cazón también muy bien calidad precio. Y la pluma la salsa muy rica. Croquetas, ensaladilla y pastel de cabracho lo más normal. Y luego ya peor... el choco bastante pequeña la ración para el precio y el arroz algo entero.

Unfortunately the main restaurant and tapas bar were both full, so we were ushered into the cellar dining room. We were the only people dining for most of the meal, so it was a weird atmosphere, with musak of soloists singing covers of famous songs. Good food choice, small portions, but excellent taste.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Balandro! It was a fabulous experience! The waiter and waitress were very kind and patient with me as my Spanish is not the best.. The food was absolutely brilliant! It was good to try some Spanish cuisine with a twist, it was all so tasty and the desert was delicious! I’ve never had anything like it before. The atmosphere was great too, wonderful to see it so busy and alive! Thank you so much!

This was an very nice place by the water. We went in late July 2023 and had great food, great wine, and great views. Be advised though if sitting outside you maybe seated closed to the promenade under some trees, which is great, but can get windy in the evening with the evening wind. Also because you are separated from the restaurant by a road, you may have slower service at times. But all in all, great food, menu choices, including fresh fish, including crudo, and shellfish.

Estuvo aceptable, particularmente lo que mi pareja y yo pedimos no estuvo muy allá y un pelín pasado de sal. Mis padres sin embargo acertaron más pidiendo platos de pescado, el bacalao al pil pil estaba muy bueno. Las mesas altas junto a la barra son pequeñas y un tanto incomodas si eres alto/a. En general, me pareció pasado de precio para lo que probamos, pero puede ser cosa del día.

La primera vez que fuimos a Cádiz, nos recomendaron este sitio, hice una reserva en el salón con vistas y fue tan maravillosa la experiencia que quisimos repetir la experiencia. Al hacer la reserva solo quedaba en el salón interior, al no conocerlo pensé que sería igual, pero nada que ver con el de arriba. Para empezar, nos encontramos con la mesa montada con el pan, les comenté que mi esposa tenía una intolerancia al gluten como había puesto en la reserva y me dijeron que me cambiaban el pan pero que ellos montaban con mucha antelación las mesas por eso había pan cuando nos sentamos, por cierto, echamos en falta el aceite que había en las demás mesas o que nos pusieron en el salón de arriba la primera vez que lo conocimos. Seguimos con el vino, desde mi izquierda sirvieron el vino a mi esposa que estaba frente mío, y tuve que retirar la cabeza hacia atrás para que la camarera pasara delante de mi nariz la botella para servirme, al cortar el servicio del vino derramó un poco sobre mi plato y no hizo el amago ni de cambiarlo ni de limpiarlo. Empieza el pase de platos a compartir, primero ensaladilla de gambas, muy buena como la otra vez, de segundo el atún mechado, no lo habíamos probado y nos gustó mucho, el tercero se hizo esperar 15 minutos, con la mezcla de mahonesa de la ensaladilla, la mayonesa del atún y su aceite, ni se plantearon cambiarnos el plato para que los huevos con patatas y camarones no se desvirtuara su sabor. Por último llega el entrecot trincado al punto, tardó un poco pero no mucho, quizás lo que me molestó más fue que estuviera varios minutos en una mesa con una luz de calor en lugar de ponerlo directamente en la mesa, ahí si nos preguntaron si nos cambiaban los platos, la variedad de colores que tenía el plato de tanta salsa le llamaría la atención, tenía los cubiertos dispuestos para que los retiraran junto al plato pero el camarero se limitó a cogerlos y ponerlos en un lado para retirar el plato, la verdad me sorprendió mucho, cuando nos trajo los platos limpios le pedí cuchillos de carne y ahí si retiró los usados y nos puso limpios, pero el tenedor el mismo de toda la comida. Si a eso le sumamos la carne pasada y no al punto, tampoco nos preguntaron por la posibilidad de poner verduras en lugar de patatas fritas, la última vez nos encantó el surtido de postres, pero ese día solo queríamos marcharnos. Es una verdadera pena, con la ilusión que repetimos y el mal sabor de boca que se nos quedó.

The only reason this place gets two stars is because of location and view. We were greeted by the hostess who was rude to us about being 5 minutes late to a 1pm reservation. The restaurant was empty so I did not understand why she was lecturing us that we needed to be out by 3pm. We left by 2:30. We ordered tortillas de camarones which taste like all the other ones in Càdiz. The rice with mariscos which barely had any flavor to it and my father commented he could cook this way better and the tuna which was frankly terrible. Again no flavor on the tuna and it was chewy like it has just come out of a freezer. We will not be back to this restaurant. It is hard to find a good restaurant in Càdiz.

Decepción. Llevamos años yendo a este restaurante desde Sevilla y justo hoy, q llevamos a mi cuñada y sobrino, el nivel ha sido de suspenso. En primer lugar me dicen q la Alhambra roja (q siempre he tomado aquí) no la pueden traer porque no está fría. Me conformo con la verde y les pido q me metan una en el congelador para después. Cuando vuelvo a preguntar me dicen q en realidad ya no trabajan la Alhambra roja. (No entiendo por qué tuvieron q mentirme.) En segundo lugar, la tardanza entre los entrantes y los principales; casi una hora cuando ya el bar estaba medio vacío. Ya prácticamente habíamos hecho la digestión de la ensaladilla y el brioche de pringá cuando, a las 16;30 nos traen por fin unos huevos rotos, insípidos y aceitosos, una hamburguesa con el pan quemado, y unas papas con chocos, absolutamente DECEPCIONANTES, duras, refritas, con el caldo aguado….. las peores q he comido nunca allí (y siempre las pido porque me encantan) En fin, no sabemos qué ha ocurrido hoy, pero es la primera vez q comemos mal en Balandro. Hemos visto muchas caras nuevas, quizás hayan cambiado de cocineros también… El caso es que ha sido penoso, así q nos llevaremos una temporadita sin pasar por allí a ver si vuelve a ser lo de antes… lo de siempre.
