In this small restaurant, with its warm and welcoming atmosphere, we enjoyed lunch featuring typical Lombard cuisine. The house appetizer offers a synthesis of local flavors; the nervetti (veal strips) with onions and peppers are excellent. The pizzoccheri, polenta uncia (a kind of polenta with uncia), and crespelle al Bitto (a kind of cheese with bitto cheese) are among the truly delicious first courses. Among the main courses, we ordered the venison salmi (juiced venison) and the stew with porcini mushrooms, both served with polenta, both very good. As for dessert, what can I say... they were all delicious. I recommend it to everyone.

Very popular restaurant and park area. There are some tennis courts as well. They've got a very nice menu and bar area. Seating outside, and well maintained restrooms.

For the first time in Caglio, we went on a hike, and as we reached the end of the road to park near the adventure park, we came across this restaurant. It's cute, with a nice outdoor space and lovely greenery. There's a barbecue and picnic area next door, and a nice tennis court! We only stopped for a snack, but browsing the menu, we saw they also make pizzoccheri, and it's reasonably priced. Next time, we'll plan to go for lunch.

I agree with what many have said. This historic restaurant serves simple but delicious food. Be polite and ignore the service, as it's one of the worst you'll ever encounter in terms of courtesy and customer service.

Caglio's restaurant, a popular destination for those passing through the area. Very good value for money (first courses around €8-9, second courses between €10-13). The atmosphere is quite dated, but it's a restaurant in a small village. I confirm what many other reviews have stated: the staff doesn't seem enthusiastic about having customers (the blonde lady at the cash register in particular was anything but friendly). P.S. Remind them of their receipt; if they pay in cash, they'll forget it.

Great food for the price, the atmosphere is wonderful, but the staff... Man, I've had better service in Afghanistan. Reading the comments from 6 years ago, I understand that the situation hasn't changed, which means the restaurant is family-run. I say to you, the staff: don't serve animals. Leave your disgruntled and rude faces in your own bathroom and don't let customers see them. You ruin the mood of every person who visits this beautiful place that HAS BEEN BRINGING YOU MONEY for years, damn it!

A more or less positive experience. The atmosphere and service were both very anonymous, completely cold. The food was good for the price, but it was a shame that my dish (which was named "mushrooms and blueberries") was completely devoid of blueberries! What a shame, they must have forgotten them. We didn't try the desserts or main courses, but judging by their faces, watching them pass by the tables next to us, they definitely looked excellent. What can I say? Definitely go for a good snack, but only if you don't let the somewhat serious mood of the waiters get to you.

Total disappointment! Unfortunately, my experience at this restaurant was anything but positive. The dishes seemed to be prepared well in advance, canteen-style, and simply reheated upon serving. This is reflected in both the flavor and texture of the food: it wasn't fresh, it was bland, and it had that typical "ready-made" feeling. The service also leaves much to be desired: the staff seemed listless and inattentive, the wait times were long despite the restaurant not being particularly crowded, and customer service was virtually nonexistent. In short, I wouldn't recommend this place: for the same amount of money, you can definitely find a restaurant where the food is truly freshly cooked and the service lives up to expectations.

Tourists are unwelcome here. I've rarely been served so unfriendly. The pizza was also really bad, unfortunately, especially by Italian standards. In my opinion, they should close the place down and find some other job where they don't have to deal with customers... Pathetic shop
