Our family loves this restaurant and having spent plenty of time in Cali Colombia, we can say that the food is authentic caleña!
By far my favorite Colombian Restaurant! Have tried several over the city but none come close to the Homemade food here! Service was amazing friendly & family-oriented orientation Ambiance - makes me feel like I am in Colombia without leaving home .
I came to Cali Antojos, a Colombian restaurant, and I was very impressed The food was delicious, full of authentic flavors that reminded me of real Colombian home cooking Our server, Daniela, was kind, attentive, and provided excellent service. The place is elegant, very clean, and comfortably air-conditioned & perfect for enjoying a nice meal On top of that, the prices are very reasonable. It truly feels like a real Colombian restaurant. Highly recommend!
Went by at around 11:00 craving empanadas. I had a ham, cheese and pineapple empanada and took a few beef empanadas to go. My wife ordered morcilla. Everything was delicious! Service was super nice and the owners were the ones cooking. Jorge and his wife are fantastic hosts and great cooks! We took a cholao for the road, but it didn’t even make it to the car!! Great experience overall!
2nd time coming to this Colombian restaurant. The food was great. Best Colombian spot in my area. The service was really good. Definitely recommend the bandeja paisa, empanadas de pollo, the soups are 🔥. Not sure what this dish is called. It has corn, cheese, chicken, beef and pork chicharron with a lot of other stuff. Will be coming here more often.
Every Colombian place has its different flair. This was really delicious. The appetizer empanadas were good with a nice crispy exterior and gooey goodness inside. The bacon on the entree- split by two people - was the highlight. Super impressed how they were able to cook the egg perfectly hard, yet the yolk was just the tiniest bit soft. That’s a master chef trick. Beans were very fresh—might need to sit a bit longer to let the flavors meld in. Rice was par. Citrus drink - lulo - was really fun and refreshing. The decor was really special. Someone has a special gift and beautifully decorating the space. They really care and their love of Colombia shows through and though.
Newly opened Colombian restaurant on highway 6. Easy access, easy packing. It was our first experience in this restaurant and we spent a real good time. The place is well decorated. The food is great and the service is fantastic. The owner takes time to talk to you with a permanent smile. The patacon and the fried plantains are delicious. They are also proposing a white dressing home made that is amazing. Definitely a place to discover. We will came back soon.
First time at this restaurant, pleasantly surprised by the daily lunch, also about the salad different from lettuce and tomato, and the rice was also different. I loved that the food was likely salty, from soup to rice, which made me enjoyed more as that is how we cook at home, better for someone to add to taste, as there is no way to subtract salt at the table. The sweet plantain was also a nice touch. Most restaurants used over ripped plantains, which are usually charred, and these plantains were thinner and ripped correctly. The empanadas, easy on the thickness and toasty, the crust a total win, the filled a typical "empanada de iglesia" more potato than meat, also not to salty, not the greatest empanada but enjoyed it. Great service to complete a nice lunch. Took two bandejas home for the family to try.
This place has GREAT food and vibes, but the waitstaff seriously holds it back. They're not rude, just inattentive and unprepared they don't know the menu well and miss key details like refilling drinks or handling double seating. I've only come here three times each time I come back for the food, trying to give the service another chance, but it's the same every time which disappoints because you’d think that with time they’d be more experienced. With better staff, this place could really shine.
Highly disappointed to see my sister throwing up the caldo she ate. We had to run out of this place since she started feeling sick. I leave this review here since I had no time to talk to management. I highly encourage everyone to ask how old the food is before yall eat here. Even my Colombian brother in law was disappointed 😔. It hurts my soul to see my sister getting food poisoning within 30 mins she ate this food. I’m not worried about a refund. Just don’t get anyone else sick please.
Empanadas were over fried and hard, 95% potatoes and 5% beef. Bandeja paisa had no taste except the sausage. Even the beans tasted straight out of the can. The arepa con todo was the same. No flavor. The server was very attentive but does not make up for the food. My Colombian wife agrees.
