Excellent staff all very friendly food was fantastic. They went out there way to fit us in without a booking on valentine's day when they were fully booked. Already thinking about when we will return for the next indulgence.

My dear partner and I found Bar Aldo just before closing on a weeknight. We came in from long travel, were warmly welcomed and very well cared for. From the hors d'oevres to the wine to the main dishes, we were pleased and satiated. We enjoyed the minestrone soup, and various pasta dishes with sauces with outstanding consistency and flavor. Server Dimitri made us feel as though we were his guests. In summary, Bar Aldo is friendly, welcoming, offers great food and wine, and service was excellent. We look forward to returning!

Bar Aldo's is definitely the best restaurant in Alloa. Its takeaway is also just as good as the restaurant. Also eaten at Gios place in Edinburgh. I was missing Bar Aldo's. Great family. Great place. Great food.

Great atmoshere created by friendly staff and first class food!

Attended a wedding dinner and it was brilliant. Staff were great, very attentive and spoke to all customers with care and attention on what was a busy evening. The family who own it couldn't have done more and were really good. Food was great, plentiful and very tasty. Wine was very good and I know many get a bit sniffy about house wine but it was lovely. Highly recommend this place. Bill was not to big either.

Dinner with my wife and three kids (15, 13, 9) last night. It was excellent. Service was everything you’d hope for from an authentic Italian, personable, warm and a bit cheeky. It creates a relaxed and positive atmosphere. The food was great. My kids loved the mozzarella fried sandwiches. Prawn starters and half pasta portion was very tasty and fresh. For mains, I had the best Ribeye steak I’ve ever had. Minimal gristle and fat was just enough to make it mega tasty. A lovely cut. Cooked to perfection too. Sea bass special and seafood pasta was equally brilliant. House red wine was lovely too. For deserts, kids were all happy. Wife and I ordered a couple of expresso martini’s which were made properly and with a great roast taste. If you’re in the central belt area, and you like good Italian food and service, Bar Aldo’s should be on the top of your list to try.

Great atmosphere, brilliant service. Food flavoursome, presented well on plate. Pipping hot. Was really busy for a Tuesday. Two birthday party's on. Waiter was amazing so proffesional dealing with this on his own. Love visiting Aldo's. Would recommend commend to others. Enjoy! We did. Thanks staff.

Made a spur of the moment decision on our way home from Stirling to Dunfermline, Bar Aldos in Alloa was on the way. Starter, shared a cheese focaccia , which was absolutely delicious. For main courses we had chicken and mushroom risotto, again, delicious, and their signature chicken stroganoff, utterly sublime. A couple of glasses of a more than acceptable house red as an accompaniment completed our meal. Service is outstanding as ever, it had been too long since our last visit.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere! What more could you ask for? Always make us feel welcome here and serve us delicious meals into the bargain. Highly recommended, for date nights and family meals alike ☺️

Bar Aldo’s in Alloa is hands down one of the best spots for Italian food in town. Every visit feels like a treat — the staff are welcoming, the atmosphere is relaxed yet stylish, and the food is consistently excellent.

Great staff and tasty food, but really slow

It's a lovely restaurant inside, the staff were lovely and attentive and the food was delicious! Only downside was that we had to wait a long time for the starter then even longer for the main course. Saturday night, but still, it took the shine off the evening a bit.

Food was great as usual. Maybe short staffed so not so good , especially as they wanted us out within 1.5hrs

I have been ordering from this restaurant for a number of years.... nothing is consistent...and for tonight to call in a delivery and sat for nearly 2 hours..no show and no answer on the phone..bad business ........

Two hour wait for 2 irems. This is a take away review. I ordered tonight at appx 18.10, I anticipated it being busy as it is a Saturday night and was given an approximate delivery of 1 hour hence. I was fine with that. 1 hour came and went. I tried the tracker at 19.35 and was informed delivery was made at 19.15. I checked and there was no food outside any door. I contacted the restaurant and was apologised to and told at 19.38 that the restaurant was just dealing with my order and that it would be delivered at 19.55. Unfortunately 19.55 came and went and a call to the restaurant revealed that the order had just gone out. It was received at 20.18. It took 2 hours. What was this complex order? 1 magherita pizza and 1 Italian style burger with pepper sauce. If you are busy then let customers know, dint just keep telling them their food has been delivered

Hi I booked 7 friends and a child for a meal with freinds from France for 19/30 them told eat up by 21-35 !! What kind of restaurant treats you like that I’m not in a holiday camp I’m booking a not cheap restaurant I know these people greed comes to mind and have sent many clients their way I’ve eaten in European Cities and never been treated like this I decided to rebook with Inglewood House and easy service not time limits I had asked for few additional things from Bar Aldo’s and only response was Quote !! Respectfully we now need this table back by 21.35 !! This is downtown Alloa and you try support local business !! They don’t even phone you or reply So if they are too busy that’s great I’m pleased to hear it but my freinds use them regular but think my trratment with put them off I recently used ALBA with french guests and service and treatment first class I know Aldo you don’t work to hard but your wife is the worker time you got off that high horse stool you sit on and get into real world Regular users will know my last remarks are spot on Tom !!
