Butter Chicken: Excellent Chicken Tikka Masala: Splendid Garlic Naan bread: supa tasty Mango Lassi: I don't even like mangoes and this was bumpin' Suprisingly solid beer selection, more than most places that don't tout beers. Complementary appetizers as well. Clean restaurant. One of those meals that makes me realize the food I've been eating recently wasn't nearly as good as it could be.

Great little place in the town center development. Gracious hosts, the curry combo's provide a generous amount of food for the money. They give you plenty of rice, a huge portion of naan, and a small desert to finish the meal. I try and stop here when in Cedar Park or Leander.

Went here for the first time yesterday and oh my goodness the food was absolutely amazing! My group all got different plates so we could taste each other's dishes and we were all impressed with every bite. Hands down my new favorite restaurant.

My wife and I enjoy great Indian food. I recommend Tejis. Good food, atmosphere, and service. I especially like menu items from the Tandoor. The mixed plate is a good way to try a little bit of everything from the oven.

The food was so delicious I didn't stop to take a picture. We had the Tikka masala, goat curry, samosas, and garlic Naan and it all tasted wonderful. There are many different kinds of naan which is pretty awesome. We will be back for sure!

Teji's is one of those places that I just love! The butter chicken is always my go to dish and it is so delicious and yummy here. Hubby always loves the Chicken Tikka Masala. The service is quick and the employees are so friendly. I highly recommend this place!

FAVORITE INDIAN RESTAURANT Me, my mom, and my sister have been coming here very often for about three years, and out of the many Indian restaurants we have tried this one is our favorite. The people leaving negative reviews just don’t understand. The singular waitress always on her phone? That’s part of the ambience. The tiles coming off the walls? Part of the ambience. The prices are great for the servings. The chicken tikka masala and tandoori chicken is absolutely amazing and what a lot of people don’t understand is that TIKKA MASALA IS TOMATO SOUP WITH SPICES and NOT ALL INDIAN FOOD IS SPICY. The food doesn’t take that long and I’ve never gotten a bad dish. The place is usually pretty empty because most of their orders come from postmates, grubhub, etc. But overall the whole place is amazing and probably the best Indian food restaurant in Cedar Park.

My wife and I went to Teji's for the second time last night, and have had a great experience both times. Everything we have tried has been delicious! We'd love to go back with a larger group so we can sample more of the dishes. The prices are very reasonable. The restaurant is very clean and has nice decor. The staff are fantastic. It was quiet while we were there, so my wife requested some music. Apparently they are not set up for it, so my wife jokingly asked the waitress to sing instead. She gracefully declined but then volunteered the guy at the door to sing for us, which he did (after some persuading). His song was awesome, it was a lot of fun, and we enjoyed our conversation with him and the waitress. We will be going back. Highly recommended.

The food is amazingly tasty and authentic. Service is really quick, the owner is very friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant. During our three day trip to Austin, we were buying food from here only.

We went to this place for the first time and were astounded by the quality of food and service. We like Indian food but had avoided the small restaraunts in Cedar Park thinking that they were too fast food modeled. We were so very wrong. Teji's was wonderful. Staff was willing to explain the things on the menu that we were unfamiliar with and everything taste great .

What a wonderful local place for Indian Cuisine. The manager was so kind and answered our questions regarding the flavors and heat of different dishes. When each dish arrived we were impressed with its presentation and taste. Definitely give it a try!

***edited--my husband and I both didn't feel too hot after eating this last night. A little concerned now that maybe some of these reviews are legit*** The entrees are always fresh and flavorful for us, so I am confused by the negative comments about them on here. Have never gotten a curry though; we usually do the tikka masalas. I will say the quality seems to have gone down a tad overall in the last couple of years. The naan is not great. But everyone is always super nice, and it's a great affordable Indian option.

We enjoyed takeout of the tandoori sampler and a lamb curry. Both dishes were very good and filling. The cheese naan was tasty as well. I personally appreciate the tamarind and mint sauces they add in for free.

I've now eaten here a few times so feel I'm ready to write a solid review. First and foremost, I have to say that every time I have dined hear whether I dined in or carry down the service has been excellent. The wait staff is very helpful if you have questions or want a description of something new that you want to try. They are always pleasant and smiling. They have chicken, beef, lamb, goat and vegetarian options. I've tried different Indian spiced variations with the chicken tikka masala, beef curry, lamb with cashew sauce paneer and vegetable saag vindaloo. I am not fond of goat so I have not tried it. They have full-size entrées with all the different proteins with all the different sauces available so you can pick and choose to suit your taste. My favorite meals here are the combination meals which include a little of this and a little of that and give you the opportunity to try everything from appetizers to dessert pretty much included in your meal. They all come with fresh Naan. I've always been given a small lentil soup with these combination meals and their lentil soup is spot on. They also have Roti, Paratha and Biryanis. I have grown very fond of their samosas so I usually grab an order of those too. I also enjoy the Mixed Vegetable Pakoda- I have tried quite a variety of different dishes here. I have not tried the meats from the tandoor only because I feel like other than being cooked in the tandoor they are not all that unique. They have a variety of beverages. Coffee, Chai Tea, Lassi's, Beer, Wine. Teji's is my favorite Indian Food restaurant in the Cedar Park/Leander area. I recommend you give it a try!

Teji's Cedar Park location shares the same great recipes as the Round Rock location, conveniently located in the 1890 Ranch area. Unfortunately, while the food is still exceptional, the service is not always up to the standard of their main location (the reason for 4 stars instead of 5). Usually just fine during prime time hours, it can be a wait to get your food at off hours. Luckily the awesome food makes up for it! This some of the best Indian food in the Austin area, authentic to its roots, but with enough Americanization to appeal to most palates. Highly recommend all of the Teji's locations anytime you have a hankering for great Indian. Try the Korma - it'll keep you coming back! :-)

The best way to explain Teji's is that it's the "Whataburger of Indian Food". It's good comfort Indian food with all of the classics that you'd expect. You won't be blown away by any of the dishes, but you will leave with a smile on your face and a to-go box (because the portions are good size). It's best to call into this location as the wait staff can be slow.

Food tasted great. We got butter chicken, Malai Kofta, Aloo Gobi, Lamb Biryani. All very good with a good balance of spice. The server was very nice, but he could have used an extra hand. Other than the wait time to pay and get to-go boxes it was great.

My wife, kids and I are huge fans of this place. If you want authentic and delicious Indian food, I couldn't recoment this place enough. The only time I've had a bad experience is when I used a 3rd party (like doordash) to place my order.

Went here for lunch on valentine's day and was quite happy with the decision. The food was really good and the atmosphere is nice. It still feels like a work in progress though. We tried the tandoori chicken and the chicken combo. Both were excellent as was the Naan. The decorations are not all updated and there are some areas needing or being repaired. The smell of the place was a bit off putting as well. I suspect that a little too much of the smoke from the kitchen is getting into the dining room.

Having traveled around a lot tasting Indian food (but never in India) I cannot attest to what is even authentic. This place is tasty, flavor doesn't seem to be offset by a bunch of fillers, and you can get in and out pretty quick. The prices are affordable. I would come back here if in the area, nothing outstanding, but definitely worth visiting if craving Indian.

The other locations are managed better , in my 3 times eating here and doing to go.. 1. Briyani doesn't include peanuts/nuts as other locations and the menu mentions online 2. goat curry ( i got togo) for example... portion is 75% curry, 15% bones, 10% meat, so very weird proportion and not worth the money imo.

G
Gian Carlo Bender

Mango Lassi too sweet--the sugar overpowers the mango. Their curry sauce seems too Westernized--not enough garam masala in it and cream seems to have been used instead of coconut milk. And I could taste dishwater in their basmati rice. But to be fair, the drink was served chilled, the food arrived hot, and the service semi-friendly. I do not feel that I got real value for the sales price I paid.

C

Just had over $100 of Door Dash delivered. Most of dishes were terrible. Rice Pudding just a few disks of dried up something floating in condensed milk. Most disappointed in the 2 stuffed naan which were so burnt we couldn't eat them. First and last time trying this place!

I would rate this no stars if possible. Order showed up 45 minutes late and incomplete so I had to go without lunch. The restaurant was unapologetic and didn't even offer a refund, even for the items I didn't receive! I will be reporting this fraudulent activity to my credit card provider and will never eat at this unscrupulous location again. Stay away if you value a good experience.

THIS PLACE ROBBED MY MOM!!!!!! My mom and I decided we wanted to try this place out and placed an online order. We payed for our order online & the payment went through. We received SEVERAL confirmations that our order had been received & that our order would be ready in about 20 mins. Well, 20 minutes goes by and we go to the restaurant to pick up our order and THEY WERE CLOSED!!! We called the restaurant MULTIPLE times with no answer & we couldn’t even leave a message because they hadn’t even set up their voicemail box. Also, i would like to add that this is not an issue of the restaurant not being open. The website and a sign on the door both said that they were open at the time we placed our order. So now my mom is out of $30. DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM THIS PLACE.

This Indian restaurant is very poor in customer service. I placed order through Uber eats and missed to order extra raita with biryani. The quantity of curries and raita is very less. The quantity of biryani is ok but raita quantity is horrible. I tried to change my order through uber eats but it didn't work I called restaurant and asked for additional raita and I was asked to place another uber eats order. Can you imaging? They are pathetic. I would avoid this restaurant. In other Indian restaurant like BIrayani Pot, BIryani & Co, Suprabhat they aren't bothered about this small changes in order.

Do you wanna wait almost an hour for your food.... On a weekday morning.... When there's no one else in the restaurant? Then this is the place for you. As an added bonus, you can listen to the staff yell at each other in the kitchen for about 10 minutes before someone comes out to seat you. So special.

T

We ordered water, took 15 minutes to get it. Asked about Gluten free items, she had no idea. The veggie pakoras had no veggies, and were hard like they had been made a while ago, then microwaved. The food we ordered took 40 minutes to arrive, and it was cold and awful! Need more staff!

Ok... Not a hater but.... We have eaten a Teji's (pronounced Teh-gees) for 5 plus years. We get the same take-away things each time. Chicken Korma and the Palak Paneer. Both are phenomenal dishes! The naan is great too. But unfortunately they must have switched recipes/chefs. The quality of the food is subpar and worst of all they are now trying to cover up the poor quality with intense heat. We went to the RR location and experienced this first. Natural inclination is to give them a second try with the chance that the old chef fled to the new restaurant. Not so lucky, same problem. Each time we called to complain they said, this is the way it is... We were told we now have to tell them "not spicy." Too bad, this is the only place that the food WAS as good as a fancy downtown establishment and not as expensive. Will try one more time in a couple of months... Hope it might return to the way it was.

I am giving 1 star because I could not give 0. Food was bad and the waitress was very hostile. This is not Indian food. Frozen food tastes better. Watch out for the 5 star reviews that they have bought. They aren’t true. The 1 star reviews seem to be relevant.

On a Tuesday night, upon entering the empty restaurant, all we could see were several tables that had dirty dishes and napkins on the floor. Took a few minutes before anyone came out to seat us. Then they went out back and no one came to our table for 15 minutes. While we waited the place filled up with delivery people from places like doordash just sitting at tables on their phones also waiting for someone to come out. We finally ordered food, got it, ate it, then ran out of water and tea while we waited for 30 minutes for someone to come from out back. Now I know why it takes so long to get food from here when we order delivery. Terrible service.

Ordered a mixed grill ‘to go’. When i opened it at home, didnt had Tandoori pieces in it. Called them and the person answered told Sorry and please wait. Then she just disconnected the call. Tried calling 10 times after that and noone answering. Other kabobs are not fresh, tastes like they heated up and gave old ones. Will never order from here and wont recommend. Terrible food and Customer service too.

L

Ridiculous wait for service. Ordered lamb korma and not sure what it was but definitely not lamb. It looked like a cornbread ball in tomato sauce. The waitress argued with me that it was lamb. I ask her to take it off my bill. She looked at me with a confused look. I ask to speak to a chef/cook to see what it was. I’ve been waiting now for about 15 min and no one from back has come out and waitress had not been back over here.

Bad food and bad ambience. Austin definitely has tons of better Indian food options. The food was below average and the koftas were actually frozen, barely eatable. Atmosphere is dark and boring. This place looks and feels very tired. The only okay things were the naan and the decent wait staff.

I’ve ordered Teji’s from DoorDash in the past and had a great experience. The last two times, my order has been accepted from DoorDash and then canceled after an hour or more of waiting. This is frustrating for not only me, but our DoorDash driver, who is waiting for the order, as well. Hoping to see y’all do better in the future

We ordered from the Cedar Park location - Mutter Korma, Veg Jalfrezi, Samosa (6), Garlic Naan (3), Veg Biryani. I have to say this was hands-down the WORST North Indian food we've ever had in last 20 years in America. The Samosas were either burnt or undercooked - and very inconsistent among the 6 pieces. Garlic Naan was rubbery in some sections and burnt in others. The Jalfrezi seemed like it was cooked in spicy water with no flavor whatsoever, Korma seemed like a can of creamy tomato soup with some paneer tossed in. Biryani was the only entree that was decent tasting. Worst Indian Take Out meal ever.

The Butter Chicken I swear was Canned Tomato soup with chicken. No spice, and bad service. My husband refused to eat his Butter Chicken and then it was an ordeal to take it off the bill. The appetizer sauce was spoiled, as a Northern and Southern Indian food lover, soo disappointed. I had hopes. So bad I went next door to order sushi.

Ordered takeout. The naan was still raw. Chicken masala tastes like tomato soup out of the can. Total waste of money.

Worst food of my life. I wish I could rate zero. I ordered Daal Makhani. it was nowhere close do the real taste. To make sure that I got what I ordered, I asked the waiter one more time. he said yes and turned away as if he never cared that we matter that at all. The food taste was very bad and tested Stale. Who on this planet prepares Dal Makhani in a white gravy. I will never go back there neither would I ever recommend this place. there are many better choices available in Austin area certainly this one is the worst.

BY far THE worst Indian restaurant! The curries on the lunch platter were spoilt and the manager on duty informed us that the curries are prepared in bulk on Mondays and it tastes fine. Jeez and we were there on a Wednesday! So if you prefer eating old food that gets heated and served then this is the happening place! The only honest thing about this restaurant was the manager's inadvertant admission of the Monday preparation. We have eaten in better Indian restaurants and this is one place we will never go again! Especially after knowing that they serve old food simply heated and served!

Food and Service were major negatives. Came in at 12:30pm on a Saturday....had a bad feeling when I walked in... The employees looked unprofessional and do not even greet you properly. They had a deer in headlights look and were on their phones half the time we were there. AC wasn't working properly so it was warm and humid. There was a puddle of water on the floor next to us. Had to wait forever for food. Seems like ”there’s a large order ahead of you” is the goto excuse even though restaurant was mostly empty. They brought naan 15min before entrees. Entrees were all butter and no spice even the one where medium was selected. It was my fault..I should’ve known better and read the reviews. I quit going to guadalupe location years ago due to inconsistent food and service and thought maybe this location would be different. No such luck.

This place is probably the worst Indian food I’ve had honestly. The highlight of the meal was the burnt naan. We started with an order of samosas in which the dough was still raw. Our order was put on the back burner for some reason and everyone that arrived after us got their food first, including the table next to us that ordered the exact same thing as me (chicken tikka). I think I’ve had better tikka from the shelf of a Kroger grocery store. There weren’t many people there, which should’ve been an indication because it was lunch on a Saturday in an extremely busy area. I won’t be back.

R

Extremely disappointed with this Indian food. I cook my own authentic curries with proper Indian spices and they come out quite a bit better than this. The flavors here taste like they have been Americanized, heavy on salt and cilantro with none of the subtleties of authentic Indian food. The Peshwari naan was extremely doughy and the filling had no flavor. For $50 this was a complete waste of money for two people. Go elsewhere. Try Nalas if you want authentic Indian flavors.

I have been to the Cedar Park location twice now. The first time the food was great but the service was just okay. I noticed that my bill was higher than the price on the menu but I failed to get a receipt. No biggie. I went back today and this happened again. I asked for the receipts and the price u was charged was different than the menu price. I dont have a problem paying but keep your prices up to date with your menu at least. Unfortunately in C.P there are not any alternatives for Indian food. Dont know that I will be back again for a third time to the C.P location.

My husband and I drove an hour out to find an Indian restaurant. The food was horrible, the staff was rude. They have a Mexican cook making Indian food, he clearly has no idea what Indian food is supposed to taste like. The chicken curry was sweet. And the yellow dhaal had no spices or salt.

M
MaMa K

The service at this location is absolutely the worst. I just tried to enjoy a dinner with my friends and family and was greeted by probably the stupidest bunch of people I have ever met. On top of that, I had to ask consistently for service. At one point I noticed that the entire staff was sitting and doing nothing instead of taking orders. I have never had an issue with this restaurant, but it seems their staff has changed and you don't need a brain to be a waiter. The fact that our waitress didn't know what an Arnold Palmer was and that their soda machines weren't working was just the topping to the cake. If this restaurant wants to succeed, their service really needs to up their game. Their food is great, but the service is always disappointing. Being greeted by people dressed in dirty clothes, and pajama style outfits just doesn't work for me.

This is the absolute worst "Indian" Restaurant we've ever been to, literally anywhere. I didn't mind that the restaurant's appearance was a little shabby and not as clean or as welcoming as many small restaurants. There are many hidden culinary gems and with a 4.1 google review we were willing to give it a try. (Plus our favorite Indian Food Restaurant was unexpectedly closed) So we ordered, samosas, potato balls, lamb tikka masala, lamb biryani, and tandoori chicken with handfuls of naan. This is our usual orders and reviews and pictures all looked great so we ordered without reservation. To come to the point the food was absolutely horrible. Tikka masala tasted like tomato paste/sauce with seasonings recently spinkled on top and lamb tossed in, biryani tasted very similar. Samosas were a disaster, instead of a light crispy outter shell, it was a hard over processed thick almost biscuit like pie dough, the filling was only marginally better. The tandoori chicken was even worse, I'm not even sure how you can get grilled chicken wrong, the seasoning was so terrible and just to try to add some perspective to this review, you could season chicken with salt, pepper onion, garlic and it would have been league's better than this chicken. The potato balls were ok, crispy, thin outter shell and the filling was fine. The potato balls, samosas and the crispy pre-dinner wafers they brought out were all served with some weird jalapeno puree? and a sweet brown sauce, neither paired with any of the foods they accompanied. The naan was great. I won't go into great detail about the back of the house conditions, but I was glad that I didn't see it until after. The service was good, the waiting staff was very attentive and pleasant, friendly and checked on us and kept our drinks full. They are the reason I gave any stars.
