Opiniones de Le Zie Crema
Amazing food. Best spaghetti and meatballs in Manhattan was what caught my eye, and heck yeah it didn't disappoint. Pasta was fresh and handmade, cooked perfectly. Wine was great, atmosphere was fun but still cozy. Highly recommend.
We had dinner at Le Zie while visiting New York and cannot say enough about the service, food, or ambiance. I called ahead to find out if a menu item would work for our picky eater and the woman who answered the phone went to the kitchen to ensure that her answer was correct. When we walked in, the space felt intimate and welcoming and then … just kept going. We were seated on the third floor but the service was still superb. Our server was friendly and accommodating, the food and wine were delicious, and there was a staff member posted nearby to ensure that our water glasses stayed full and that we had everything we needed. The roasted half chicken (which does include a breast, if you’re wondering) was tender and well seasoned, as were the chicken piccata and braised short ribs. If you are in Chelsea and looking for a luscious Italian meal look no further.
Lunch Prix fixe menu is an insane deal. Amazing food. Eggplant parm and calamari with fried zucchini are particularly amazing. About $50 for three courses and wine will leave you incredibly satisfied
We were here on vacation trip and were looking for an Italian style restaurant. We found this one on the advice of a different waiter we talked to. We ordered our food and it came out quickly. The food was good and had a good taste. I ordered the chicken parmigiana. The service was excellent. If you are in New York City I highly recommend this restaurant. The reason I gave only 4 stars on the atmosphere is the lighting was a little to dim for my liking. All in all it was a good meal.
Good Italian places like this are distinguished by the high quality of their tomato sauces and pasta. The dishes here were fragrant and herby, the sauce fresh and full of natural flavour, and the pasta had perfect texture. For our lunch for two, the quiet restaurant atmosphere was ideal for conversations while we nibbled on the complimentary bread, olives garlic, and olive oil dip. We enjoyed some Aperol and Campari drink mixes before our orders arrived. We recommend the two course set menu as it was great value for money. For starters, both the Eggplant Parmigiana and Baked Goat Cheese were memorable for the fresh fragrant tomato taste and different cheeses. For mains, the Rigatoni was deliciously put together and the Branzino (fish) was tender in the fillet and crispy on the skin. If you are in the Chelsea neighbourhood and after something a bit nice but in a comfortable and casual setting, this is the place for you.
Warm décor, delicious food, and fabulous staff. They were so sweet and promptly brought us our food. We ordered the fried calamari & zucchini chips to start, chicken parmesano, chicken meatball dish, and truffle mac and cheese. We finished with the tiramisu, Cioccolatissimo, and Crème Brûlée. It's rare to find a place where every dish is enjoyable. The Crème Brûlée was my favorite. It was so smooth! Best tiramisu I've had in quite some time. The flavors and textures were well balanced. This is one of those rare places where every dish was exceptional and we didn't experience a long wait for anything. We also weren't bombarded with plates and overlapping dishes/courses. Every course had impeccable timing and was the perfect temperature. For instance, we just finished the last chip in the starter and table was cleared for the sizzling mac and cheese that we heard making it's way from the kitchen. I appreciate the attention to detail. In other restaurants, I hate waiting too long because I feel like I'm going to be there all night and I can't stand being rushed so staff can flip the table. They made us feel welcome but it seems they understood that we don't live there lol. My favorite part is being allowed to rest our food after this culinary experience! It wasn't difficult to ask for the check and they brought us our bags the moment we stood up without us asking. Reminds me of the quality of service I grew up with experiencing on Mulberry street in the 90s. Comfortable, delicious, genuinely warm/welcoming, and easy going but attentive. I didn't think I'd encounter the quality of service we received in this place. Not that I doubted them specifically! Lol. It's just so rare to have a pleasant experience from beginning to end. The décor definitely adds to that 90s NYC vibe but it's part of its charm. So that's a plus, for me. Nostalgic but not completely outdated. The entire staff collaborated very well together to tend to every table. I was advised to reserve a table but I'm not sure we needed to because we dined early at 6pm. But the reservation didn't hurt. If you eat the way we did, be prepared to spend a pretty penny if you visit with a party of 4+ even if no one drinks. For the quality of food, I find it pretty affordable if your group just gets one dish each because times are hard. In this economy? Sometimes we have to make sacrifices lol. But if you can hack it, try as many dishes as you can possibly afford lol. Great wine selections, also! A huge thank you to the staff at Le Zie for making my mother's 69th birthday dinner a memorable one. I hope to be back soon for the Chicken Liver Pâté Crostini and Yellowfin Tuna Ravioli!
Came here for dinner at 7:30pm on a Friday night and the restaurant was at capacity. You would most likely need a reservation here for peek dinner times. The food and wine selection were extensive and we liked the quality of the food. The restaurant was a bit on the louder side and the atmosphere wasn’t very intimate, which makes it better for group dinners and less so for date nights
Really nice experience. We had three staters and desset ad the food is good! Ok wine - we had wine by the glass but they should pour it at the table …. Just sale good order.
Stopped by recently for a late lunch when we were back in Chelsea after an absence of many years. There were only a few other tables occupied in their sunny front dining room and the service was efficient. They offer a good value three-course set menu with several choices, although we did not find their wine prices a good value. The eggplant parm was better than the goat cheese in tomato sauce (which is literally just a globe of cheese in a plate of sauce!), but both the grilled branzino and rigatoni alla Bolognese, long house standards, were properly executed lunch-size portions. The Panna Cotta was still good, but the miniature tiramisu wasn't the best value. The big disappointment was that they served stale bread that had clearly been cut the night before and left sitting around. It comes with nice oil for dipping, but although we recognized the owner who came and went twice while we were there without stopping to look around, clearly unlike a couple of decades ago when we were regulars, the kitchen was on automatic. So, still worth a stop if you're in the area, but we won't make a special trip to return. For old time's sake we'll round up to 4*.
Several options to choose from, including daily specials. The pesto was really good. Others had the Mac and Cheese because it had truffles and they really liked it. The portions were just right (not small or big). The bread was a nice touch too. They have a painting from Madonna which is quite nice / funny.
Cute Italian restaurant, small open atmosphere. Restaurant was suggested by someone we met at a bar in Times Square...a resident on Madison Ave. It was a great suggestion. Had dinner and we enjoyed our food. I had the lasagne and a glass if wine. I really enjoyed the lasagne and my friend enjoyed her dish as well which was the pappadelle with lamb ragu. And the service was good as well. Glad we went.
We visited this cozy and quiet Italian restaurant for a weekend lunch. It’s the perfect place to have a conversation without the music or noise drowning out your voices. They were playing soothing Italian music in the background. As a complementary welcome dish, we were given sourdough with garlic confit and olives. We picked the three course prix fixe lunch menu - which is very reasonable priced for the location, portion sizes and quality of food. We tried the eggplant parmigiana and baked goat cheese for appetizers, spicy pasta and chicken paillard for main course, and tiramisu and tartufo for dessert. All the dishes were delicious and filled us up. If I could be nit-picky, the chicken was slightly rubbery/dry but did not stop me from savoring the course.
The food was pretty average, maybe below average given the price. We shared the charcuterie board, the arancini and two of the specials. The charcuterie board was the best part of the meal. The remainder was on the bland side and didn’t really hit, especially at the price point
