Opiniones de Bolsa Cafe & Wine Bar Dallas
My food club decided to try this place and I’m so glad we did! Everyone loved it! Some of my favorite tapas were the Mushrooms a La Planta, Chorizo w/ Sweet & Sour figs, and the Albondigas. We tried every dessert and I was SO impressed with the Olive Oil Cake. It was AMAZING! The Chocolate Cake was the runner up, and the Basque Burnt Cheesecake and Crepas with Seasonal fruit was next. I love the ambiance here and the service was top notch. 10/10 would recommend!
Everything was on point. Came on a busy Friday and loved it. Wanted more so came back the following Sunday afternoon. Just as amazing but different atmosphere for brunch. We sat at the bar both times and Dakota actually remembered us. Great touch. He was also very knowledgeable and a really good guy. This place is special.
Exceptional and knowledgeable staff, service was exquisite. Sam was amazing and very helpful with her insight on what pairs well with different foods and wine. Would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice dinner and wine night!
The food is delicious, and the drink and wine selection is top notch. Ask for Kelli! She’s an amazing server. She has excellent recommendations for your meal and picked a great Tempranillo for us to share at the table. Destiny was also so helpful. Don’t sleep on Barcelona.
We had an amazingly wonderful time @ Barcelona last night! The staff was so welcoming, the manager immediately introduced herself when I arrived and she made me feel so welcome. Our server ALLY was phenomenal - fun, friendly, knowledgeable, great service all around! Everyone who served us last night was exceptional - they all went above and beyond, in every detail. The food and wine were exceptional!! So many offerings for every taste (I"m a vegetarian and had bountiful options!). My friends and I stayed almost 6 hours!! the vibe is so positive and fun and cool without being pretentious or "clubby" ...when the sun went down, the servers lit all the candles on the tables, and the atmosphere got even MORE fabulous, it was really just a dreamy fun night. I felt like I took a little vacation to Spain!!! thankyou!!!! We will be back REGULARLY!!!
This place is delicious! Tried out the different tapas and got the sangria to wash it down. Everything was delicious! Had such a great time here. We had a large group if ~16 and they were able to sit us in the back nicely. Wait staff is attentive and helpful. It does get pretty busy. Free valet parking as well. Otherwise street parking is limited. Highly recommend!
An amazing experience!!! I’ve been wanting to check this place out for a while. I took my Day One with me..LOL we didn’t plan on it but Yellow was the color of the day I guess. We we’re out here looking like sunshine on y’all’s cloudy days. They did ask if we had a reservation and yikes I didn’t event think about it since I figured Saturday afternoon..we should be good.🥰🤷🏽♀️ We had an delightful server that explained the menu and concept for my Mom. She never had tapas before. We were provided a board of hot crusty toasty bread with a creamy honey soaked sheep cheese. So amazing! The bread that just comes to the table with olive oil….Man, listen..it was hot, fresh and a meal all by itself. My Mom is a wine drinker and you have options of 3,6 or 12 oz pours. I ordered they’re version of an Old Fashioned. Boozy and Good. Then for our additional courses we ordered Olives, Prawns, Lemon couscous with asparagus. We were nice and full so we threw in the towel and got a small take out box. I will love to go back to I can continue down the menu.
We had such a great stay! Juan was our main server and made it a very enjoyable experience — the view was also amazing at sunset and the staff was very attentive and were constantly coming by to help out with dishes. The food tasted amazing as well! The fish and lava cake was our favorite.
Upscale environs - pretty! Great food (tapas) and beverage at reasonable prices, and service is very good even when packed. Buzzy vibe, choose the patio for a more conversational environment. Cocktails are hand crafted and delicious, but which can mean a bit of a wait.
The food here was AMAZING! The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. They helped us pair a wine with our food and even brought us samples of a couple of their famous dishes. It was a exceptional experience for us!
The service was incredible from the minute I walked up. The hostess on 11/21 (I wish I remembered her name 😢) made an effort to make me feel overly welcome. Remembered me from an earlier phone call, asked me which table I preferred, etc. from that moment on every staff member was so warm and kind and enthusiastic. My new fav happy hour due to the service alone ❤️
One of my absolute favorite places, and one of the few good tapas places in the DFW area. The service is always fantastic and the food never fails to impress. They have a great outdoor patio that's perfect for an afternoon of drinking and eating. I'd highly recommend Barcelona.
The Service from everyone at The Barcelona Wine Bar was above and beyond! Kudos to the Kitchen staff and Chefs! ***From the Roasted Cauliflower to the thinly sliced Steak! Everything was bursting with flavor. Barcelona is excellent for a Date Night out! Lawrence and Sherry
I come to this location often. It’s always a great fix, great wine, great tapa, kind staff. But I stepped in today and it was phenomenal. First I ran into Josh Coulterer, one of the city’s finest bartenders and so it was good to see the service staff had a solid and experience bartender ready to sling some drinks for them. But there was still something different about this experience, the attentiveness of service, the pre bussing, the idiosyncrasies of solid wine service all were in the green. I’ve been in hospitality for a decade, and I’m super critical but the staff bled courtesy and prompt action. An observation was that this had to do with the Manager on duty. Sam was the most delightful person I have ever come across running a dining room, she sat us at the table, was coaching the servers, touching table, running food and ensuring I had the right wine when I was confused, she mentioned she was task force manager covering in the interim until permanent personnel was in place but there was nothing about her that said she took her visit for granted. Hospitality began and ended with Sam. Figure eights, check, table turns check, great service check, staff communication check, guest recovery check. So inspired toward my own to work to run into someone so operationally sound. Sam is going places, and if the company gets it right she will be practicing unreasonable hospitality for this company and taking them to the next level, also don’t hesitate in asking for wine recommendations from here, she has got one heck of palate to find the right wine for you.
This restaurant offers one of the premier wine experiences in Dallas. Upon entering, I received a warm welcome from Marco, who escorted me to my table. Caleb promptly introduced himself, reviewed the menu, and provided recommendations for both wine and food. The hummus, crab croquettes, beef empanadas, and chicken thighs were all exceptionally flavorful. The establishment boasts a vibrant atmosphere and a bustling dining scene.
I would want to give Service 6 stars. 🤩 Just about the best tapas I've had in DFW. And really copious servings too! We asked for the leftover bread to be packed and the waitress packed a whole new loaf, with instructions for baking. Will definitely be frequenting this restaurant.
I’m glad I discovered this amazing place brought me back to the country of Barcelona , Spain again . Came here on a Saturday and it’s pretty packed with beautiful people waiting to be seated . We met up with some friends sitting at bar so no wait. The tapas was delicious and a good selection of wines here. Everything we ordered was well marinated with great flavors. Cool vibe and lively atmosphere here . Valet parking only. Would absolutely come back again on the weekend.
Went here tonight to celebrate my best friend getting married and wedding dress shopping tomorrow. Our server Haley was outstanding, personable, and made sure to celebrate with us. Upon sitting at the table we were instantly greeted with wine to toast, and constantly throughout our experience was attentive and friendly. We got the brussel sprouts, sweet potato hummus, kale salad, paradilla, and the squash and brussel sprout paella. Everything was amazing! And the service could have not been better.
Outstanding meal and overall experience last night at Barcelona Wine Bar, Dallas. Was there for a team dinner and our hosts ordered the most delicious assortment of appetizers and shareable plates. Lots of delicious, healthy, vegetable, offerings, broccolini, cauliflower, asparagus, next came the proteins, Crudo, Branzino, chicken, steak sausage. Finally, the dessert course, olive oil cake, cheesecake, and flan. Everything was absolutely delicious!
Specifically leaving a review to highlight how amazing our server, Sam was. He immediately made us feel like we had known him forever! The manager was amazing as well (I sadly cannot remember her name) but she came over just to chat and recommended awesome dishes. While there are other Barcelona locations, the staff makes it feel like a family owned place just by how warm and friendly they are. We will definitely be back and make sure we are in Sam’s section!
Great experience at Barcelona Wine Bar in Dallas. The accommodations were excellent, the food was great and the GM was awesome!!!! Very attentive and hands-on with the staff. You can tell the team is well-led. Definitely a place I’d return to and soon!!! Great Spot!
We had a fantastic server! At the end of our meal he brought us a bottle of sangria to kill and poured it in our mouths😂 so much fun! Every tapas was fantastic as well as the wine! Thanks for a great night!!!!!
Delicious food, nice aesthetic, attentive service. Particularly prefer during the day for lunch or brunch. On weekend nights the music is more like a dance club vibe. A little too much like “night at the roxberry”. Paella is very good. Our favorite is the olive oil cake. It’s to die for.
Barcelona is THE tapas spot in Dallas. Went this time with friends that are vegetarian and the plant-based options are fun/creative/refreshing takes on vegetable-centered dishes (a special shout out to the cauliflower, eggplant, and broccolini). You MUST try the chocolate cake for dessert - it blew us away. It’s hard to go wrong with the gin and tonic cocktails to start and a Tempranillo to send you home. Finally, the service was phenomenal - Sam was our server and came through with great suggestions and attentiveness. Can’t wait to go back!
This place has cool vibes. Relaxing but upbeat. You will be tempted to groove with the Spanish music. So many great food options. Have a conversation with your server. They will walk you through it. Fresh bread with olive oil. Charcuterie boards. Tapas, mains and desserts. Get the olive oil cake. And don't miss the wine!
I can’t say enough good things about Emma hands down the best bartender I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing! Not only do they craft the most delicious cocktails, but their attention to detail, creativity, and ability to personalize each drink to my taste is unmatched. On top of that, their warm personality and genuine care for their customers make every visit feel special. Whether it’s a busy night or a quiet evening, Emma always makes time to chat and ensure everyone is having a great experience. If you’re lucky enough to sit at their bar, you’re in for an amazing time. A true gem and a huge asset to Barcelona.
We had such a great time here. Our server Haley was amazing and you can tell she really knows her wine. Her recommendations matched our food so perfectly and made the night feel extra special. The manager Bowser also came by to check on us and made sure everything was perfect. The way they worked together really stood out and made the evening so memorable. Definitely recommend. <333 :)
We had an amazing experience at Barcelona. Our server was Carlos, and he was attentive and helpful! We enjoyed a cheese plate, the bacon wrapped dates and a paella. Carlos worked with the chef to ensure I could eat something delightful in spite of my allergies.
this place was such a fun experience!! our server was Haley and she made the experience so much better, she’s so fun while also taking amazing care of the table! Would highly recommend requesting Haley’s section!!!
I initially had a disappointing experience due to an overbooking issue during our engagement celebration. However, Amber, the Regional Director, reached out, invited us back, and covered our visit. This time, the experience was fantastic — the staff was welcoming, the food was great, and the overbooking issue seems resolved. I really appreciate their effort to make things right and look forward to returning next week 🙂
It was my first time here, it was my friend's birthday weekend. From service to ambience to food, we gave it 1000/10! Thank you for a memorable visit and definitely coming back. We had ordered a few tapas and a charcuterie board. I was a bit overwhelmed on wine selection but Cody helped us out on wine recs. I have to be honest, my favorite was the grilled squid then mussels then spicy beef empanadas. Can't wait to go back 👍🏽
Very large and varied menu, great wine list as well with many by the glass offers. Good spot for business dinners as well, great and easy location with parking. Really love the tortilla and meat and cheese options. Occasionally a few things on the menu aren’t available. Very good bar and gin & tonics
This place has been a favorite of mine for years and we host our women in law series here annually. Barcelona is always incredible with the best tapas and wine list in town and a fun zero proof menu too. Last night was no exception -a great evening with amazing food and impeccable service. A huge thank you to Marco and Kelly who consistently went above and beyond for us, and thank you to the whole team, Cherish, Hailey, Harley, Chris, Amir, Cody and Emma.
We recently had a wonderful dining experience at Barcelona Wine Bar in Dallas. Our group of four enjoyed a delightful selection of tapas and paellas. The whipped ricotta was a standout, served with warm, fresh sourdough bread that was absolutely delicious. We also tried two different paellas — a seafood version and one with chicken and sausage. The seafood paella was a bit on the saltier side, but still quite good, with the shrimp tasting especially fresh and flavorful. The chicken and sausage paella was also enjoyable. We'd rate the paellas a solid four stars. However, the overall experience at Barcelona Wine Bar was definitely a five-star one. The owner was incredibly welcoming and accommodating. We were initially seated outside, but when it started raining, they quickly moved us indoors and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable despite the unexpected weather. To top it off, we were treated to complimentary desserts, including a delicious olive oil cake and a rich chocolate cake — both easily deserving five stars. We ended the night with shots of espresso, which perfectly capped off a memorable meal. The staff was very attentive and friendly, with a special mention to our server, Juliet, who made our evening even more enjoyable. Overall, a great experience with amazing food, a warm atmosphere, and exceptional service. Highly recommended!
Absolutely loved my recent experience at Barcelona Wine Bar on a visit to Dallas! Highly recommend the charcuterie boards! So delicious and I loved how many options there are! Also was suggested to try the patatas bravas and it was a wonderful suggestion! Definitely check them out!
We so enjoyed our wonderful waiter Carlos as my girlfriends met for Happy Hour. He was the bestest !! So nice, friendly and also gave us wine samples so we could choose a non-HH wine. Appetizers so delicious! Atmosphere was excellent! A few of us drove down from N Plano to try for first time…and we will be back!
I can’t stop dreaming about those patatas bravas- literally the best thing on the menu!! The staff here is truly unmatched in providing the most hospitable service. Enjoyed amazing wine recommendations and some of the best octopus I’ve ever had. Thank you Chef Ellie for a delightful experience!!
Barcelona Wine Bar is everything I want in a date night spot: cozy, welcoming, and filled with dangerously good food. We went later in the evening, so it wasn’t loud at all — just mellow and intimate, like the restaurant was letting us in on a secret. Our server (and manager!), Bowser, was hilarious, knowledgeable, and made the night honestly unforgettable. He helped us pick a great wine and made us feel like regulars even though it was our first time. A total gem. I had the patatas bravas and jamón & manchego croquetas, and my partner had the chicken pimientos — all delicious. We also shared the bread (don’t skip it, seriously) and ended the meal with the olive oil cake, which was light and perfectly balanced. If you’re looking for amazing food, amazing service, and the kind of night you’ll be talking about for days — this is it. And if Bowser’s on the floor? Even better.
totally exceeded my expectations! the tapas were insanely good, and we got the "bio-curious" wine flight. all the wines were incredible! sangria was phenomenal and the service was great too. all around a very solid place and will definitely be back!
We had just finished a gorgeous early afternoon, and were looking for a relaxed atmosphere with fantastic food. What we got was a wonderful assortment of tapas and matching cocktails! The portions were the perfect compliment to the conversations, changing and matching our tangents with ease! I can't wait to go back and try more, I looking forward to bringing more folks to share in this joyfully delicious experience.
My new favorite spot. Great ambiance, menu choices, and food. It was the first time I visited this spot in my neighborhood and I will definitely be back. The manager, Angie, was very personable and stopped by to check on me during my visit. I have several tapas and 2 different red wines which both were outstanding. Great wine menu.
We're becoming regulars and usually have great service. Kelly was our server last week and she was awesome. Last night, we had Carlos. It took forever to get our drinks, one of which was a bottle of wine with three glasses. Someone else brought out three glasses of wine, instead of the bottle with three glasses. Ugh. So she took it away and we waited another 10 minutes for Carlos to bring the bottle. Two of our tapas orders came quickly, but we had to ask him where the third order was. By this time, we were already full. He never came by to ask about our drinks or food - not sure what he was doing, but it wasn't checking on us.
It was our first time there. We went to celebrate Valentine's Day and it was great! All the food and drinks that we ordered were awesome. The service was very fast as well. I'll definitely come back.
First time in and did not disappoint. I went with a few girlfriends and our wine connoisseur, Haley, was absolutely phenomenal. She made us feel welcomed and part of the family. Had us laughing and gave great recs for wines based on what each of us liked in taste. Will be going back to our girl Haley!
Drove from N Plano for a girlfriend Christmas happy hour get together. We ordered truffle fries, meatball, croquettes, sweet potato hummus & more!! All YUMMY! Cocktails (mini) martini and cosmo great price and flavors plus tons of wines to choose from. Ask for CARLOS!! Best waiter ever 🥰 will return many times
CANNOT say enough good things about this place. I usually come for dinner, but my gf and I decided to try brunch (plus half-price bottles of wine on Sunday yes pls) and this spot does not get enough recognition for their brunch. Everything was amazing. The steak and eggs, whipped ricotta, jamon croquettas, broccolini, cauliflower, and patatas bravas were all so good. Service was also fantastic. Haley was our server and she was awesome. Super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. She came to check on us the perfect amount. The food, the vibes, the service, all 10/10. Perfect for a date, girls brunch, or just hanging at the bar with good food and wine. LOVE this place!!!
Every time we've come here its been such an awesome experience. Tiana and her staff helped us nab a last minute going away party for a friend and it was definitely a night to remember. Great service, delicious food, and plenty of tasty Sangria and Wine.
I have been going to Barcelona for a few years now, but last night my husband and I went to celebrate our anniversary and the assistant manager Sam was absolutely stunning, she greeted us with such sweet and friendly energy, we were given flowers on the table and a personalized menu with highlighted items that were vegetarian as per our request, we got a hand written card from the team, champagne glasses complementary, and the best server Hailey!!! Shout out to Morgan, who checked on us throughout the night, and whoever the two guys were, who poured free shots directly into our mouths, they were fantastic. Thank you for the amazing attention to detail and memorable experience.
Our favorite place to eat when in town. The food is very authentic Spanish and so much fun eating tapas style with friends. Sam our server was fantastic and we really enjoyed talking with the manager, Angie, who was incredibly hospitable. Will come back again (and again)!
I have tried this place a couple of times! What I love about this place is that they have a wide variety of wines as the names suggests and also they have white sangria which is my favorite! The staff is generally knowledgeable about the wines and can provide recommendations to match individual preferences. The menu at Barcelona Wine Bar revolves around tapas, small plates of Spanish-inspired dishes meant for sharing. They also have a wide variety of charcuterie boards as well! Overall the pricing is pretty standard compared to similar places around, they also have happy hour from 4-6 weekdays! Overall would definitely recommend this place for a chill hangout!!
Celebrated my birthday last night and had a great time. The food was delicious and we enjoyed the half priced wine on Sundays. We enjoyed the Pulpo (Octopus) and the croquettes the best! The shrimp was good too! Our server Mauricio provided great service.
OMG Mauricio was by far the best waiter I have had at this location. I have been several times and he made my most recent experience the best. Not only did he take care of me and my date, he was on top of a table of 20 and made sure everyone was taken care of. The most genuine and kind waiter I have had in Dfw. Will definitely be coming back to see him specially. And shoutout Samantha for making me giggle.
It was my first time to try this particular cuisine. The food is unique and there is something for everyone! I think what made this the most unique and amazing experience was our server Haley. You can always tell when someone loves their job. She told us stories behind the wine and it was as if we got to travel to that part of the world. Thank you so much for a wonderful experience!
We visited Barcelona Wine Bar later in the evening and everything about it was exceptional. The vibe was relaxed and intimate with dim lighting and beautifully curated decor. It felt cozy and effortlessly cool all at once. Our server Bowser who also manages the place was outstanding. He had this perfect mix of humor professionalism and genuine warmth that made the night feel personal and memorable. Even though we came in close to closing we never felt rushed. He made us feel right at home. I ordered the chicken pimientos and I’m still thinking about it. Easily one of the best chicken dishes I’ve ever had. Rich flavorful and perfectly cooked. My partner ordered a couple of tapas and every bite was just as impressive. I usually stick to Napa Valley wines but Bowser chose a Spanish wine that completely won me over. It was smooth delicious and surprisingly affordable. He even gifted it to us in honor of our anniversary which was such a kind and unexpected gesture. We didn’t get to try the paella this time around but it’s at the top of our list for the next visit. Honestly I’m half tempted to move back to Dallas just to be closer to this place or hope that something like it opens in Fort Worth. If you are considering going just do it. The food the wine and the people are all amazing.
Originally made a reservation for a table but decided to eat bar side instead. Bartenders were fantastic and although busy, kept up with us and our orders. Everything was tasty. Croquettes are delicious, but could be too heavy for others. Only complaint was the bone marrow which was pretty much non-existent. Would definitely go back--great for celebrating, date night or just because. Highly recommend a reservation because it's a pretty popular spot-once you go, you'll understand why. This place is worth the hype!
We held my birthday party at Barcelona with 16 people. The food waa delicious and the service was incredible. All 16 guests raved about the menu options and the drinks. Haley was our lead server and she paid great attention to details and made the whole evening special. Highly recommend!
Had an amazing experience here! A friend brought us in, and it was my first time ever having wine, such a great introduction. Matthew, the manager, made the experience even better. He was welcoming, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. The atmosphere was great, the service was excellent, and everything felt thoughtfully done. Highly recommend checking this place out, especially if it’s your first time! They really take care of you!
We had such an amazing experience at Barcelona Wine Bar on Saturday night. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. Morgan and Sara took incredible care of us, and we truly left speechless by the level of hospitality. The food, wine, and overall atmosphere were outstanding. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!
Went in to Barcelona to try Tapas for the first time and it was delicious! I sat at the bar and Tiger, the bartender, did an amazing job recommending dishes to try! The cauliflower was hot and flavorful it was honestly the best cauliflower I have ever had. Tiger paired it with a hand crafted cocktail that did not disappoint, it was well balanced and served with a warm and friendly smile. I will definitely be coming back to try everything on the menu because the food is wonderful and the service is impeccable. Thank you Tiger!!!
Celebrated an early 27th birthday with my daughter, husband and niece. 1st time visiting. Table for 4 can be tight, and watch if you set your purse on the seat, as it opens at the back, bottom, and can fall to the floor. All the starters, Board, was delicious. Speck was a different choice and had great flavor. Meatballs good. So much more! The beef empanadas were our least favorite. Guest comments it was like sloppy Joe. All raved of the Olive Oil Cake, and would agree. Chocolate is a very close 2nd.
The BEST restaurant in Dallas!! I am yet to find a restaurant that rivals this one. The food is some of the best food I’ve ever had. The flavors are unique and so, so flavorful. I dream about the Chicken Pimientos dish. On top of that, the service was wonderful and one of the managers came over to chat with us towards the end of the meal and was so kind and cared about our experience. This is our new date night go to and when we aren’t eating here, we are talking about it! Just do yourself a favor and eat here, you won’t regret it!!
This place is amazing! I reserved a table for three to celebrate my partner’s birthday, and I must say that the manager, Angie, took care of everything from the very first phone call smoothly and without any issues. Many people look for a “perfect” experience, but what really matters is friendly service and a reasonable wait time. Everything else is out of anyone’s control. Yes, it’s a very busy place, and sometimes the servers are so occupied that they might forget something you asked for but they always fix it in the best possible way and with a smile. If you’re looking for a quiet place where you won’t hear conversations around you, this may not be the spot for you. But if you want a lively atmosphere, great service, shareable plates (tapas), and good wine this is definitely the place! I truly appreciate the attention from everyone, especially the manager. Angie, your service was top-notch! The table she assigned us was perfect. I recommend that if you want a more intimate experience, you reserve on the booth side, which feels more private. I hope this helps people like me who didn’t know this place before and decided to try it thanks to the reviews. Merry Christmas to everyone! 🎄✨
Absolute delight being here. Drank the Coster dels Olivers Priorat and it was decadent, oaky, and opened up with delicious cacao. Jamin & Manchego Croquetas to start followed by the Parrillada Barcelona and Burnt Basque Cheesecake to take home. My bartender Jillian was by far the best part of my visit. She was so helpful, attentive, and made my evening special. Ask for her next time you go!
Second time at Barcelona. Our first visit had a few hiccups, but I have to give credit to the Manager, Angie, who personally reached out and followed up on my feedback. Here’s my review: We ordered almost the same items we tried on our first visit, and tonight we could clearly see the improvement. The pork belly was served at the perfect temperature, and the charred edges were just right. The gambas al ajillo, with that extra touch of chile de árbol, elevated the flavor. The mussels—never disappointing. And the seafood paella was cooked to perfection. Our server was attentive, and so was the rest of the staff. The restaurant gets busy after 5:00 p.m. My best advice is to make reservations early or be ready to hang out at the bar for a bit before being seated. Barcelona is truly worth that second chance.
Destiny, Kam, and Matthew are absolutely amazing! They’re incredibly kind, patient, and genuinely attentive to customer needs. Destiny in particular made our experience exceptional — her warmth, positivity, and willingness to go above and beyond truly stood out. She made us feel welcomed, supported, and cared for in a way that transformed the entire experience. Their support always feels thoughtful and intentional, and they consistently bring such uplifting energy. I truly appreciate how present and caring they are — it makes all the difference.
Angie, Chloe were amazing as soon as we walked in they provided such a great service very attentive! Miriam was our server, she made our night so special we are grateful to have had her as our server. When you come, ask for her, you won’t regret it. We saw a video on tiktok of someone recommending this place and my husband decided to surprise me for our anniversary. So happy with out experience!
Barcelona Wine Bar was absolutely adorable in so many ways. The tapas were delicious and full of flavor, and we thoroughly enjoyed everything we ordered. I would definitely recommend making reservations, especially on a Friday night. The brussels sprouts were a standout, but truly everything we tried was great. The bathrooms are unisex, and there is plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating, giving you lots of options. The overall aesthetic is really cool and calming, which made the experience even better. I would absolutely come back and highly recommend it.
Great spot for brunch or any meal at that. They went above and beyond to help my friend who is vegetarian and highlighted all of the vegetarian / vegan items on the menu in pen. They also provided a breakdown of what charcuterie boards would go well with our tapas. Overall absolutely loved coming here and would recommend - great for any occasion.
Food was great and the ambience was lovely! Pretty loud in there from everyone's conversations and chatter, but that makes the restaurant so much more lively. I went here for a girls night and we had loads of fun. The food was delicious. My favorite plates were the shrimp, pork belly, empanada, and paella. The service was fast and our waitress was lovely. They had free valet at the front of the restaurant, and the location was easy to find. I would recommend this restaurant as a dinner for families, date nights, girls nights, etc!
We had a nice time at Barcelona Wine Bar and would definitely come back. It was quite busy in there and we were happy we got a reservation a couple of weeks in advance. I tried one of their tempranillos and enjoyed the recommendation. Overall, the tapas were fantastic. We got the heirloom tomatoes, empanadas, patatas bravas, bacon wrapped dates, and croquettes. I recommend every single one of these but my favorites were the patatas bravas and the empanadas. They also bring by a delicious bread that I enjoyed eating with the meal. I felt that this meal was well sized, extremely well made, and reasonably priced for what you got. I would definitely come back here and am excited to try more of their tapas. Note- they have valet.
I had the pleasure of dining at Barcelona Wine Bar last night. I was so excited to try it while on vacation in Dallas. It definitely did not disappoint. Although loud, the restaurant vibe was fabulous. They also have a lovely outdoor patio. The attentive staff went above and beyond checking in on how the meal was going. They could not have been nicer. Although we were only two of us, we tried as many dishes as possible. Everything was outstanding. Please come to Michigan. Thank you for a fabulous experience
Delicious food and drinks. We went close to 9:15 and the place was still very lively and active. While our service was extremely slow, our waitress was very sympathetic and comped a dessert for us. The food is very Spaniard and on-point, therefore expect a true culinary experience. As a “tapas” restaurant, food is sent when ready/prepared which gives you enough time to enjoy as you go. Plenty of parking options through valet, street parking, and across street lot. The area is also great to walk post-dinner and explore nearby places. It can be hard to hear at times. Bathrooms are pristine.
I liked the different small plates offered which allowed for us to try something new without overwhelmingly large plates. They left the backdoor open which led to a bunch of flies coming in and out which was very unpleasant. The flight options they have don't really come out as "flights" moreso 3-4 glasses of wine. Our waiter was really nice, and gave us great recommendations.
Dinner for one, perfect. Wonderful cheese and tapas selection. The wine was very good. I had a red wine with potatas gravas, crab croquettes, and a small sampler of meat and cheese. The chocolate almond cake was warm and delicious. Yes, I took half of all this home. Cons: it was dark in spots at the bar so you needed a flashlight (not just me). I could've done without the bartender walking around the bar, pouring drinks into people's mouths. It didn't fit the atmosphere, and she spilled people's drinks with her shoes.
We went in on a Wednesday afternoon and the place was pretty packed. Inside, tables were too close to each other and the music was too loud in my opinion. Tried mangalica ham for the first time. It had too much membrane in my opinion and did not offer the melt in your mouth texture and rich flavor. They had a pretty large tapa selection. We ordered 9 tapas. I really liked eggplant caponata (cold eggplant salad type of thing), truffled bikini (dry cured ham sandwich), bacon wrapped dates. Albondigas (meatball), pork belly, grilled oyster, and crab croquette were not bad. Didn’t like steak paillard and hamachi Tiradito. They have a generous happy hour from 4 to 6. We had a pretty good time there!
First time visitor to Barcelona last night. Loved the ambiance and cozy seating area inside! The sangrias were great and the food was tasty. I do wish they had better signage for the restaurant at street level on Miller and for the valet parking adjacent to it. I made the mistake of parking across the street (owned by Professional Parking Solutions) and while walking to the restaurant after scanning the QR code, I attempted to make a payment, tried to focus on crossing the street in the dark, & got sidetracked trying to locate my party inside the restaurant. I was not inside the restaurant for more than 10 minutes when I realized I did not take a photo of the spot number to type into the website to pay. I walked back out to my car, saw the spot number & paid only to find the boot with an orange sticker on my driver window. It cost me $124 to get it removed. Will know NOT to park across the street in the future. 🙂
We booked a reservation for Saturday at 6:30 pm, and I’m glad we did because this place was packed. We waited about 15 minutes at the bar before being seated at our table. I had been craving Spanish food for a while, and after seeing all the glowing reviews, I thought it was worth a try. We ordered several popular Spanish dishes, and while I didn’t expect them to be exactly like what you’d find in Spain, I did hope they’d be somewhat close. Overall, the dishes tasted lovely, but authentic? Not really. When I ordered the pulpo gallego, I was expecting the traditional style: sliced potatoes layered at the bottom with pieces of octopus drizzled in olive oil and paprika. Instead, the octopus came out whole with just two potatoes on the plate. The chorizo, however, was excellent, and the patatas bravas were really good too. The salads, like the burrata and watermelon, were very small and nothing memorable. The bacon-wrapped dates came with a Valdeón mousse, which I personally think could be swapped for something else. I’ve had dates stuffed with chorizo at another Spanish spot, and those were truly chef’s kiss! The olive oil cake, though, was absolutely delicious—I would order that again and again. The restaurant has a beautiful outdoor seating area, perfect for cooler evenings when you just want to enjoy a glass of wine with a few bites. The staff was super friendly and attentive, which really added to the experience. Would this be my first choice whenever I’m craving authentic Spanish food? Probably not. But if you want to get a taste of some Spanish flavors, it’s worth checking out. Having tried so many restaurants in Spain, it’s hard not to compare, but overall, this is a solid option in Dallas. Bonus: they offer free valet parking for diners, which is always a plus.
Great food/wine, but I must echo other reviewers’ frustrations that reservation times on weekend evenings are not honored. We confirmed our 8:15 booking ahead of time and arrived early, but still waited an hour plus to be seated. Manager was apologetic and comped a few tapas, but the meal felt rushed and we didn’t have time to order an entrée. Would not recommend this place if you have a hard out.
I made a 10 PM reservation and arrived at the restaurant at 10 PM but was not seated until 10:45. The food and wine is great and I love the interior of the restaurant, but they do not do a good job honoring reservation times. Make your reservation for 30 minutes before you intend to be sat
I really loved the atmosphere at Barcelona—it’s a beautiful spot with a great vibe. Unfortunately, the food was just okay and the sangria pitcher we ordered was pretty bland. What really affected the experience was an incident where our server accidentally broke a wine glass at our table. While accidents happen, he didn’t acknowledge it or apologize until much later, and his response—“you know, accidents”—came off as dismissive. The glass shattered everywhere, and since he was holding the sangria pitcher right above it, we were uncomfortable continuing to drink it, but he didn’t offer to replace it. That said, the rest of the staff was very kind and helpful, and even our server wasn’t rude, but his attitude just wasn’t what we expected from a place like this. Hoping for a better experience next time, because the setting really is lovely.
The place has not ce ambiance. The good is not as good as I have had. The service was lack luster, the waitress was hard to get until another waiter came to assist. The red sangria had zero body as the used cheap red wine. The tapas lack flavor and were barely for one person and expensive for what it was.We were celebrating my husband's birthday and thought of trying a different Spanish restaurant. I do not think we will be back, was not memorable.
Love this place but was very disappointed with the service yesterday. I had a large reservation scheduled a few weeks in advanced and when I showed up they said they “didn’t know when a table would be available”. About 30 minutes after our scheduled time, they said they could sit us outside with heaters and give us blankets. 10 minutes later they finally sat us outside and then said “actually we are out of blankets and we don’t have more propane for the other heaters around.” An hour after our scheduled reservation, we finally made contact with our waiter. So disappointed because the food and wine is amazing, but eating outside in the cold with wind was a bit miserable.
First time at Barcelona Wine Bar was for a 7:00 pm Saturday night reservation for our friend's birthday. The reservation was made weeks in advance for a party of 12, 10 of us showed up. The place was packed upon our arrival and not too surprising they were a little behind. The hostess said the group that had the room we would be sat in was still there, she was going to talk to the manager as she didn't know how to move them along. Long story short we waited over 2 hours to finally be sat at a table in the main dining room. No efforts made to expedite the party in the room, which makes no sense for a business that runs on reservations. If you can't turn your tables to align with the reservations, you should probably hive that up. There were no accommodations made to split our party as tables opened up. We would learn that they had overall staffing issues which as a former server is a sign of poor restaurant management. This was on par for our entire evening. Even after we were sat our server took initial orders and then we were forced to flag her down for additional orders and our checks. I'm giving two stars because the food was great but after two hours a McDonald's cheeseburger would probably have been just as good.
Although the food and atmosphere are great the service we received on January 31st was completely terrible. We had a reservation for four yet stood crammed in the entry with many other groups for over 45 minutes waiting for our table. When we were finally seated, there was no apology, compensation appetizer or drink offered at all. Our server was inattentive and the dishes were not cleared and our order took forever to be taken. The worst part however was the behavior of the manager himself. We ordered a red sangria pitcher and he offered to pour for us and spilled an entire glass of RED wine all over two of the women in our party. He apologized and promised to return with napkins and another glass of sangria, because of course that was a whole glass gone from what we paid for. He did not return with either and it wasn’t until the end of the meal when I had to ask that he offered to comp one single glass of sangria. Not even the total price of a single glass ($14) but he just took off a quarter of the pitcher price ($9). The food was good but the service was so horrendous I would not go back, because who wants to wait for 45 minutes to constantly flag down a server, practically bus their own table, and get red wine stains all over their clothes??
My husband and I came here for a date night. It was a nice place to try, but not a place we would come back to. The paella was bland and small and I did not like having to spit out the seeds from the olive small plate I ordered, especially on a date night. It was kind of disgusting having to spit in front of my husband while I'm talking. We asked for pepper and our waitress forgot and had to ask her 3 times for it after 15 minutes of waiting she came back and said they didn't have any. How does a restaurant not have pepper?! We would have enjoyed sitting outside on the patio since it was a nice evening, but we were way too close to other tables that we didn't feel comfortable talking bc we felt we were too loud for the other tables and we felt like we had no privacy.
Save yourself a trip from this "Spanish" Bar. Your best bet is to stop by the gas station taco spot, you will enjoy their food much more than here. Guest service and overall quality is a -10. Ordered the Paella, half still stuck to the pan, save your $$. Mario the manager, was the most sarcastic and arrogant person we have ever met.
Called ahead and was told no reservation was needed. I even asked specifically for outside seating. When we arrived, there were more empty tables than elements on the periodic table… yet we still waited 30 minutes. Then three people walk in and magically get seated in about 60 seconds. I assume they were friends with the host… or maybe Nicolas Cage was directing the seating because they were placed Gone in 60 Seconds. At one point I started to think the table was being imported from Spain with how long it was taking. As accommodating as the host was, you’d think we had just asked the DMV clerk to smile. Also when we left she didn’t even say thank for coming or bye…. Food was okay. Maybe if my blood pressure hadn’t been rising like a Bob Marley bass line while we waited, I would’ve enjoyed it more. My advice would be to put someone who actually likes people at the front to seat guests… but what do I know.
