This place is awesome and has continued to be over the years. Super friendly staff and fantastic food. I love getting the kebab platter so I get a little bit of everything. I would definitely check this place out if you want high quality food and supporting a local business.
We love Sevan!! It’s a family tradition at this point to order a Sunday feast from this place at least a couple of times a month. The food is always fresh and the people are always kind and attentive. We love the gyro, Kashmir chicken, and hummus.
The first time I went was for lunch with a friend, and I loved it so much, I took my husband there for dinner that same day! We are there almost weekly because the food, ambiance and service is always amazing. We love talking with Grace and George, the owners, and we're so grateful to have such an incredible restaurant in our neighborhood. Dishes we've had and continue to reorder: Kabab plate, greek salad (the feta is shaved on top and out of this world), kashmir shrimp (I could drink the curry sauce), gyro plate/sandwich, sevan's hummus and the rack of lamb.
Must Go Place. This is one of those family run restaurants that have been around for years and there is good reason. I've always enjoyed the meal and the small family feel. Everyone I've taken to this place has come back on their own later. Most bring someone else. Their best menu items in my opinion is the Sevan hummus for starters and the Pistachio Chicken for the main course. Don't forget to follow up with some baklava and coffee. I have been coming to this place for years now.
Just tried this place for the first time yesterday despite living in the area for a while- it is a delicious hidden gem!! We had the sampler appetizer, the falafel plate, and the gyro plate. Everything was so good! My favorites were the eggplant dip and the gyro meat. Both to die for. Got to talk with one of the owners a bit, she was really nice. We will definitely come back!!! Note that it is BYOB and there is a liquor store next door.
We were passing through Dallas on a trip to Tulsa from Austin, we visited with our son and he recommended this spot for supper since he felt it would fill our carnivore needs and his vegan. A small little dining area ran by a family. We greeted promptly and order was taken. The appetizer of hummus was good with hot fresh pitas. It kept hunger at bay why we waited for our entrees. Every thing is made from scratch so the turn around time us little longer than other sit down establishments, but it is well worth the wait. One of us had the falafel plate, it was very delicious and moist. My husband and I normally do not like this particular fare due to dryness. We did not find that to be the case here. I had the pistachio chicken and my husband had the hashmire chicken. Chicken was moist and grilled vegetables were outstanding. I just wish we had more of them. Wished we lived closer so we could visit more often.
Easily the best Mediterranean food I've had in Dallas, if not in the country. The place is family owned and operated. You can tell they put a lot of love and care in their restaurant and it definitely shows in the quality of the food as well. My personal favorite is the Pistachio Crusted Chicken, but everything is good here (especially their hummus).
The gyros, chicken kabobs & hummus were spot on. The food is very filling. My 4 year old niece loved the hummus and pita bread. This place has a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Upon entering the staff presented us a very warm genuine greeting. As we waited for our order the greeter conversed with us. Very friendly. Will definitely return.
The best hummus ever. The best dolmas. Any entree is bound to be amazing
Some of the BEST Mediterranean food I’ve ever had! The owners are super sweet and the service was wonderful. I highly recommend and hope to be back.
Great restaurant! Food was excellent and service was above and beyond!
I really love this place. Whenever I want something delicious and healthy at the same time, I choose this place. The atmosphere is cozy and quiet — perfect for having a great conversation or simply enjoying the peace and quiet on your own.
Great place, hidden gem in lover Greenville. Lunch specials are amazing. Brunch options are great too. Salads and all meat specials are amazing. Kid friendly. Staff is nice and friendly too. Pricing is nice. Easy parking. Highly recommend this place. Really close to authentic Greek food in East Dallas.
What an awesome find! I ordered the Kafta Kabob, Gyro sandwich and hummus. Absolutely delicious and the real deal unlike Mediterranean chain food restaurants. I can’t wait to go back to try the rack of lamb. Everything, the rice, grilled vegetables and salad that came with the meal all of it… perfection. But what I really loved and would buy just from them to keep at home was the pita bread. Clearly homemade and not too thick. I usually never order a gyro sandwich because it’s all big thick pita that overwhelms and takes over the entire sandwich. Not here. And at least for me the gyro was 3 meals. ( not just left over pita bread ). You gyro fans out there know what I’m talking about! Go try it, tell me how you like the rack of lamb if you get there before me!!
I've never had mediterranean shrimp curry and it was delicious! I also don't usually like hummus, but theirs was superb! Quaint, family-owned vibe with friendly owners. Definitely want to come back!
This is our favorite restaurant in Dallas. The food is always freshly prepared and you can taste it. The experience is one of relaxation and nourishment. Nourishment of the body and the spirit. I have not found any place quite like Sevans and I return every chance that I get. We always get the Massa Plate and the Chicken Tawook with whipped garlic. There is plenty of healthy portions leaving you room for dessert. Yes, treat yourself to dessert. The establishment is BYOB for those who enjoy a glass of wine with their meal. Make sure you alot plenty of time to relax and enjoy yourself. You will be glad that you did.
What a nice cozy place. They really do treat you like your family. And know what they are doing. I will definitely be back. I had the gyro platter. Next time I go I want to try the lamb chops.
I took my bf for a birthday surprise here because he's lebanese. I have never had lebanese food and I enjoyed it. I brought a birthday cake in without him knowing, and the owner took it in the back to hold in the fridge till the end, and she also put the candle in as well that I gave her. He was very surprised when she brought it to the table. She was very sweet. I also love baklava, and they have the best I have ever had. I have been craving more of it ever since I left. Thanks for your hospitality!
My family has loved this restaurant for years! Grace and her husband are wonderful and hard working team. Their food is always delicious and perfect for to go or to enjoy at the restaurant.
Super nice, accommodating, rapid in order taking, and considerate in preparation and packaging. Food was…authentic, interesting, very reasonably priced, and—if you can’t tell yet—delicious. Menu is varied and full of great combinations as well. Venue itself is charming, clean, and is a unique island on Greenville in terms of mercifully easy access: no visual obstructions, plenty of its own on-site parking [not just along the road], and four(!) access points from the road so there’s no missing your chance then having to circle back the whole street again. I will be here many more times to come.
One of my favorite for Mediterranean food. The lamb chops are cooked to a perfe t medium rare and so much flavor. I like that it is BYOB and you bring a nice bottle from home.
Wonderful restaurant! BYOB and delicious food, been coming for years and never disappointed! Family run and authentic vibe, highly recommend!
Great little byob Mediterranean place, the gyros are fantastic, as well as the chicken plates. The owners are very friendly, and the atmosphere is cozy and warm. They can handle large groups if given enough warning, and the family style dining is great.
Grace and George were so kind, the food was incredible (I got the gyro pit and hummus), and the restaurant atmosphere was very relaxing and laid back. Will absolutely be returning
We made a impulse decision to get a Saturday dinner at G & G based on reviews of the "best Greek food in the city" and were not at all disappointed. Kept it pretty simple, ordering the mazza plate, kafta, a cheese pie, and baklava. Everything was tasty and those dishes were plenty of food for two. The cheese pie was new to me; It's a pizza-like thing with distinctive spices, a great appetizer. Their baklava is heavy on the nuts and lighter on honey, more flaky than sticky but not dry. Bring your own drinks if you'd like and keep in mind that they take the entire order at once.
Atmosphere is perfect. Food is delicious and well priced. Will be returning with my mom again!!!
Great lunch special at 15 bucks. Love the salad and gyro wrap. They are the real deal Mediterranean lunch.
UMM YUM THIS IS HOLE IN THE WALL CASE STUDY #1 😍😍 gyro was AMAZE - Owner is so nice & the salad was so fresh and the dressing 💋💋 def come in for the lunch special!
Sevan G & G Cafe, a staple in Dallas, feels like a hidden gem right in the heart of Lowest Greenville. It serves authentic and tasty Mediterranean cuisine, provides attentive service, and offers an inviting atmosphere. With very limited indoor seating, expect a wait or get there earlier in the evening! BYOB!
They're sampler of dips is he best in Dallas I've tried so far. And their pies are amazing and hot and delicious! I drove 30 min and I am walking out of here happy. Ordered the sampler is it was well cooked, medium well, juicy and tender very impressed.
First time here. I ordered widely from the menu, with some for me there and some to go for the family. Every bite of every dish was sheer perfection. Your food is made when you order it, so if you have the time, absolutely order the pistachio chicken. Bliss. My only, tiny bit of sad? They hadn't made the tiramisu, yet. So, we didn't get to try it. My husband is already planning the next visit, as he is a tiramisu fanatic.
When I arrived I was starving so I ordered the Mazza appetizer, 1/2 of seven salad loaded with feta cheese and I ordered chicken kabobs. I took a tiramisu dessert to go and it was very good, garnished with a mint leaf, blueberries and strawberries! Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. When I arrived I was going to sit at a tiny table because I was alone but the lady insisted that I take a comfortable booth, she was very sweet! This will be a first of many visits!
My favorite little gem! Truly the best hummus I’ve ever had, best falafel, best eggplant dip, best everything. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been, and I’m going back tonight for my anniversary. The BYOB is honestly better because you’re saving $$$. The owners are great. Service is fast, friendly & accommodating. Cannot say enough good things!
The food is absolutely delicious. Pistachio chicken is delicious, The baklava is perfect. I love the coffee from the ibrik coffee pot. .. ! I've never had a bad meal here, (chef's kiss)
We ordered a Mazza Plate and the Pistachio Chicken. They were both delicious!! We also brought a bottle of Trader Joe's, "Moon X" 🍷 It is very smooth and low acidity🍷 The owners are super sweet and the atmosphere is amazing!
Mediterranean cuisine with an Levantine twist. Loved the lamb shanks. Great appetizers too: banaganoush and tabbouleh were excellent. You can tell they cook from pure organic. The place gets busy and fills up in the evenings and they do a lot of catering too.
Me and my fiancé stopped by this place around 1:30pm today and had a quick and very healthy lunch. This place is very surprisingly quaint and has a very realistic feel that (as we both remarked)almost makes you feel like you are in actually being served in a far away place. Huh huh. But seriously, the hospitality and the food were nothing short of PHENOMENAL!! Loved the tzaziki dip with the pita bread and the falafel with their great tahini dip. The size of the falefel was great!! Somewhere between a full size donut and small donut I’d say and very authentic and tasty. The staff was great and we felt very welcome, almost felt like a regular!! I’ll be back for sure!!
A Lebanese restaurant in the heart of Dallas with a true tasty Lebanese flavor. George & Grace are very nice, very honest & prepare super delicious yumi Lebanese food. Its a must to visit for anyone visiting Dallas and like me love Lebanese cuisine, its my first stop everytime i visit Dallas.
My first visit here and felt like I was back in Europe! Really enjoyed the gyro plate and friends had a the cheese pastry appetizer. Great portions and Byob too!
Great Mediterranean food from Sevan down in Lower Greenville. I stopped in with a coworker and sampled a few things off the menu. No complaints, I'd take people here in the future.

Hot eggs & crispy on the outside sausages! Soft and crispy potatoes! Best breakfast in town ^_^ very reasonable price! Always enjoyed the heart warming conversations with the owner!
I stumbled across this restaurant while working and happened to have the best gyro I have ever had. It is run by a husband and wife that serve scratch made food daily. The meat was tender, the lettuce was crisp, all the veggies were fresh and the wrap was soft and warm. I have never inhaled food so fast in my life. Will 100% be back for more.
For years we’ve experienced top quality and service. BYOB makes this a great bargain as well.
Grace and George are pure gems. First time at this restaurant and immediately decided we would be back. Grace welcomed us with open arms, explained it was byob and directed us to the corner store right next to them. We arrived back and she had a table set with a wine opener so that we could enjoy. Grape leaves were *insert chefs kiss here* After finishing our appetizer, George came out and explained it would be a few more minutes on entrees. They cook everything the moment you order. The food showed that and was worth it. Honestly, a hidden gem. If you’re looking for wonderful people and service this is worth a stop.
Food was fantastic. Service was good but a little on slower side (fine for us as we were enjoying a longer dinner with friends). Highly recommend the hummus and eggplant dips, the spanakopita, and pistachio chicken. The only thing I didn’t love was the falafel.
We’ve been going to this restaurant for years, almost every Sunday! The kabobs are fabulous -my husband gets the lamb or, if I want to share, he’ll get chicken. Every dish is unique and fresh. George and Grace have created a loyal community on top of their delicious food!

Really cute family oriented place with solid food. BYOB too and that's always a plus.
Really good food. Prices may be a bit expensive but portions are quite filling for what you receive. Great service and very sweet couple. Heavily recommend
Really cute family oriented place with solid food. BYOB too and that's always a plus.
Food is delicious but the wait for the food is egregious. We ordered lunch wraps, which should be pretty quick, and waited close to an hour for them when the restaurant was mostly empty. It’s a family run place so of course some understanding for that, but that still feels like wayyyyyy too long regardless. Not sure we’ll be back, which is sad because the food is good. I hope they get it figured out!
unwelcoming and racist. Staff would not serve ordered items as wanted to save for other customers. our table wanted 4 rack of lambs and they were only able to give 2 due to other customers need. No other customers showed up after that. They also said all seats were reserved for customers that never showed up. the only people of color in the restaurant seated next to the door when other guests coming in after us were accommodated with better seating. You guys can say we’re just some liberals crying wolf but if you look at the people dining there and how the servers treat you at the door you will come to understand that this place isn’t meant for others like us.
