it was my boyfriend & i’s first time here and it was phenomenal to say the least. the host from this morning was warm and kind off rip and our server, cami, was the sweetest!!! the food was insanely delectable & we will definitely be coming back.
Good food. I don't eat eggs, but there were other things to eat like waffles and sandwiches. I enjoyed the Patriot Waffle and thick cut bacon.
cute place for a great brunch! breakfast burrito is super yummy, and the service was great! they made sure we had everything we needed without being overly attentive. one of my favorite spots in denton for brunch.
Tried this place for the first time & I was definitely impressed. I loved that they had other options on food other then the traditional “breakfast” items. The chicken apple walnut sandwich was light, flavorful & fresh. The dressed greens where delicious. My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito and the red sauce was super flavorful. The portion sizes where perfect. The staff was very friendly & attentive. I highly recommend trying their fresh juices. It definitely sets this place higher on quality compared to other “breakfast” spots in the area.
There are alot of breakfast cafes in Denton, and I have eaten at many of them. I received a coupon for a free meal for this one so decided to try it. They had a good varity of choices of dishes, focusing on eggs, but also lunch choices, at a reasonable price. But what impressed me the most was their attention and obvious care for their customers, the soft music, and joyous atmosphere. It was peaceful, not frantic, which is how I like to start my day.
My first time to this little gem, and what a pleasant experience! The menu is pretty diverse for breakfast oriented dining, and service was friendly and upbeat. Their prices are pretty comparable with other restaurants with breakfast being a forte. Their salad is amazing, using a very simple in-house dressing to die for. I had the crab cakes and they were fresh and very tasty.
The pancakes and eggs benedict we had were so delicious! I had the crabcake benedict, and was pleasantly surprised at the amount of crab there was compared to the other ingredients. It tasted like real crab, and I loved it. The hollandaise sauce is something I could easily get addicted to. The blueberry compote was sweet, but not overwhelming. It was an amazing compliment to the pancakes we had. Speaking of the pancakes, they were pretty big! We ended up splitting one. The potatoes were the perfect texture, not too soft and not hard. Seasoning was perfect! I will say the grits needed a bit more flavor. They tasted mostly like water and salt. But, aside from that, everything is delicicous! You definitely get your money's worth here. Edited due to typo.
I come to this establishment almost on a weekly basis. Currently their holiday specials should be explored by the general public. As of 12/05/18, I have had only one of their winter specials but it was well worth it. I was promptly greeted at the door, which for this place, I have often seen a little difficult to perform by their staff because of their huge weekend popularity. It was nice to come in on a weekday and see how the staff acts while not under extreme duress. The environment was warm with faint holiday music playing throughout. After being seated, I saw their special menu, and immediately decided I was going to order from it. What I was going to order was a decision that could not be made with equivalent haste. There were three specials for meals: I believe a waffle special, a hash special, and the third currently slips my mind. Out of all three the Winter Hash stood out the most, so i proceeded to order the platter along with coffee. The wait was short to get food, as the morning Thursday crowd look to be more of regulars. I can hear the staff having chuckles with the regulars which brought a slight happiness to my heart. An establishment to take the time to know its consumer is admirable. But I digress. The winter has arrived. This plate of winter delight looked like a plate that could warm me through a harsh winter in a log cabin; greens poked out from underneath two over-easy eggs, completing the festivities. Two halves of an English muffin lay to the side completing the meal. I cut into the over easy egg letting the yolk smother the hash. I scoop up and take one bite and instantly I feel warm all over. The hollaindaise sauce was wonderful and the greens poking out created such a spectrum of flavoring combined with everything. The waitress was very attentive and made sure that I was always well stocked and satisfied. An inexpensive meal at a fine establishment.
This cafe is wonderful. The Tuscan Scramble was well prepared and well season. The ranch potatoes were cooked to perfection and the English muffin had a nice crunch to it and was complemented with butter. Their seasonal Pumpkin Waffle was absolutely amazing. Not too sweet, but the candies pecans, powdered sugar, and the cinnamon butter all came together and made a wonderful holiday favorite all enjoy. I highly recommend the Egg and I for brunch. Enjoy my foodie connoisseurs.
Great place for Sunday breakfast. Have not had the greatest luck with their pancakes (they have been raw every time), but their waffles and eggs are great, especially their blueberry and strawberry waffles - those are my favorite! Servers have been friendly and attentive each time we've been there.
Went for breakfast/lunch. We ordered the chicken/ apple walnut salad plate. Usually comes with a croissant- but the wife wanted a lettuce wrap. I ordered the Belgian waffle with warm syrup. Plus 2 eggs & sausage patties. All was really good & flavorful. Service was outstanding! Highly recommend!
Overall okay breakfast. I ordered the biscuits and gravy and it was super salty. I couldn't eat it.Potatoes and eggs were okay. Service is excellent. But the food was not spectacular, well at least from what I ordered. Looking around other customer's orders look good. Maybe I'll give this place a second chance.
I just left disgusted with how I was treated. I walked in by myself to get something to eat while I waited for the shops to open. I was never greeted to asked if anyone had helped me as I waits by the hostess stand. The woman checking customers out never acknowledged me while I waited. Three employees came from the kitchen to hand delivery orders to delivery drivers and I still was not acknowledged or asked if I needed help. After 3 minutes of waiting, a woman came from what I assume was probably the restroom to seat me in an empty meeting room that was enclosed with just a open door out, looking out over the rest of the restaurant. We walked by eight empty tables and booths to go into a meeting room where I was seated by myself. Right after I was seated, two more parties of two patrons each walked in after me and were seated directly in the main dining room that was half empty. After this, I just walked out.
Food was frozen bs. Bacon was microwaveable kind. Eggs were deff powdered if you get scrambled. The waiter was a bit friendly and literally put arm around my fiancé and was literally in her face showing items. This place needs to be on an episode of Gordon Ramsey. The only people eating here have dentures and diabetes. Ain’t no way this place has great food and if yall think this is good. My oh my.
