Delicious food with many options to choose from. The food tastes fresh and flavorful. The drink selection is awesome too. My pomegranate basil martini was outrageously good and I rarely feel that way about cocktails when I dine out. The service was prompt, polite, and helpful. My family and I will definitely be back.

One of my favorite places to dine in NJ the standards of service and delicious food and cocktails at Mings continue to be outstanding some of the best dishes to try , the Papaya salad, Pineapple rice, Corinder Soup, Sweet Corn Soup, Chilli Lotus , Bao Potatoes are so good along with the lamb dishes. Try everything! It is all good. Mings is the best!

Amazing experience, really nice Indo Chinese food. They started outdoor seating which is really helpful and the ambience is perfect. It's clean and though we were here for dinner, there were no mosquitos or anything annoying. Valentine and Ganesh served us and what a happy set of people they are. Really enjoyed the service and food. The indoor seating is also very nice and welcoming. The restroom are clean and smell good. The place and staff are family friendly and very welcoming. Highly recommended.

This is a really nice place with good options for food. The servers are friendly and even suggest what kind of food you would like. Their lotus root dish is really amazing and something I had never heard of before. Looks like a high end place too!

This is our favorite upscale Indian Chinese destination - when the fast food service at Mogul Express does not cut it. Our focus remains on their hakka noodles and fried rice - smokey, tangy, delicious. Accompaniments we have ordered to go with the carbs - chili, sweet and sour, Manchurian - and in veg / chicken / fish - are all spectacular as well.

Really good indo chinese. We ordered the good old chowmein chili chicken, which were goof. Although a bit on the pricey side, avout 100$ for two people. Definitely going back again.

We have been regulars here since 1999! Best! Service at times is haphazard as they get busy but taste compensates! Best Indo-Chinese with very good vegetarian options as well.

⭐️Great food, good vibe, and fair prices! We ate at Ming and had a really good experience. We tried the lava cake, occasion noodles, spicy fried rice, and lobster — everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The food quality was really good and worth it. The prices were decent, the restaurant was clean, including the bathroom, and the overall vibe was nice and relaxing. Definitely a good place to enjoy a meal. I would recommend this restaurant to others.

Absolutely loved our dining experience at Ming Pan-Asian Restaurant on Oak Tree Road in Edison, NJ. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm, clean, and welcoming, making it a great place for both family dinners and casual outings. The staff was attentive, friendly, and took the time to ensure everything was perfect throughout our meal. We ordered fried rice, noodles, and lobster, and every dish exceeded our expectations. The fried rice was flavorful, perfectly cooked, and generously portioned, with a great balance of seasoning and fresh ingredients. The noodles were deliciously savory, cooked just right—not too soft or oily—and packed with authentic Pan-Asian flavors. The highlight of the meal was definitely the lobster—fresh, tender, and cooked to perfection with rich, mouthwatering seasoning that truly stood out. Overall, the food quality, presentation, and service were outstanding. You can tell they use fresh ingredients and take pride in their cooking. Ming Pan-Asian Restaurant is a must-visit spot on Oak Tree Road if you’re craving high-quality Pan-Asian cuisine. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience!

great restaurant, food, ambiance and staff everything was good. It is a bit expensive but considering the taste of the food, the price is justified. Being vegetarian we had 1- Crispy Lotus Stem with Honey and Dried Red Chilli is so delicious that I highly recommend you try this appetizer. The 2-man chow soup was very good as it was less oily and it was like clear soup with the right amount of thickness which we personally enjoyed, 3-Basil flavored noodles, 4-Virgin Mint Mojito 🍹 good number of options here for vegetarians. 20% gratuity tax was automatically included even for 2 persons. Overall a great restaurant that is a must visit.

Ming has quickly become one of our favorite destinations for Pan-Asian (Indo-Chinese) cuisine in central New Jersey. The restaurant's interior is thoughtfully designed, offering a perfect blend of casual elegance and fine dining ambiance. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and hospitable, enhancing the dining experience with their warm service. A special mention goes to Jitu, an outstanding member of their team. His excellent service skills and cordial treatment consistently make our visits memorable and enjoyable. For those looking to explore their vegetarian offerings, I highly recommend the Hot and Sour Soup, Paneer Chilly Dry, Cauliflower Manchurian, Black Pepper Mushroom, and Fried Rice. Each dish is a testament to Ming's culinary expertise and dedication to quality. If you're in the area, Ming is a must-visit. Whether you're looking for a relaxed meal or a fine dining experience, Ming delivers on all fronts.

Well worth the drive over from Brooklyn. Ming in known for their chicken dumplings. So light and fresh, their chefs create great Pan Asian favorites! We’re at Ming a couple times a month and the service is always great.

Very good Indo-Chinese food options. It definitely satisfies your craving. Schezwan noodles and Cheese Bao were really good. Good spread of veg and non veg menu with a great ambience. 20% gratuity even for 2 people was little disappointing.

Visit this place for authentic desi Chinese food. It will satisfy your desi tastebuds for sure. Restaurant is neat and clean, vibe is chic, staff is polite, service is swift and food they serve is delicious. They allow indoor and outdoor seating during summers, serve liquor and nonalcoholic beverages. Have good spread of veg and non-vegetarian options on the menu. They serve decent Momo. Good food option.

Well! I don’t know who have given less than 5 ⭐️ to this restaurant. The taste is way beyond expectations. This restaurant reminded me of my childhood days. We ordered drums of heaven, chilli paneer - spice level was adequate for us and the kids. Then we had burnt veg rice along with ginger chicken - worth the price. Quantity of rice was a bit fine Also ordered chicken sweet corn soup - delicious as it can be. In drinks we had mango mojito - mamamiaa!! And cosmopolitan cocktails- not so much impressed (worth 11 $) Space is limited but cozy!! A bit pricey 💵 Definitely one of my favorites list after A2B and Spice Culture

It's best chainese restaurant in Edison. Food is expensive but worth it as far as food quality and quantity. They stop serving kimchi salad 😔 it was one of the best salad. Now they serve fix lunch in $15.99 for vegetarian and it's only serve in week days only. We tried Chilli 🌶 paneer, vege hakanoodels, okra with sechwan souce, vege garlic chilli rice 🍚, vege spring rolls and manchau soup. There is lots parking 🅿 spots. I highly recommend this place if you like to eat vegetarian Chinese food 🍲.

The food was really really good. My attendee, Jitesh ( Jitu bhai) was really awesome. And he made us feel like home the whole time. Even the manager Heldrin was really welcoming and polite to talk to. We really had a great time and would 100% recommend it to all.

We had an excellent experience here. We came as a family, group of 4. We were seated right away. The waiters were all very accommodating and polite. We really enjoyed the chili garlic rice, tom yum soup, and crispy vegetables it was all full of flavor and spice. My mom and I had the Cosmo and English Garden drinks, both delicious! Ordered the molten chocolate cake with ice cream for dessert and that was SO good, we finished it less than 5min. Ganesh kept checking on us and asking if we were enjoying our food and really made us feel welcome. We all had a good time and will be coming back, thank you Ming!!!

Hands down for the best Indo-Chinese food! I have tried so many places but none can match the closeness of taste to authentic Indo-Chinese. They were warm and welcoming and accomodated us even when we were little late and they were about to close up. Lemon Coriander soup was the best and Chilli fish and shrimp skewers were just so awesome 👌

They've renovated this space and it's been redone nicely. They have upgraded how they plate the food as well. I visited recently and enjoyed my experience and everything I ordered.

Ming Restaurant in Edison is absolutely my go-to spot for delicious Asian fusion! Every dish I’ve tried—from the cauliflower Manchurian to their burnt chili garlic fried rice—has been packed with flavor and super fresh. The staff is super friendly and attentive, making sure you’re comfortable and well taken care of every time. The ambiance has a chill vibe, perfect for hanging out with friends or family, and the dessert options are a sweet bonus. Even though some dishes might cost a little more, the taste totally makes up for it. Highly recommend Ming if you want a memorable meal in Edison!

All in all great place, the garlic burnt noodles, paneer bau buns, chili paneer, and garlic burnt rice were amazing. For something sweet go for crispy lotus. Soda does taste flat, but the items I listed are very top tear!! Super yummy. However 20% tip included is robbery and frankly appalling. You can find similar quality food everywhere nearby without getting charged an arm and a leg. Account for 40-50 dollars a person…..

We loved their food! Their food tasted very similar to Kolkata Chinese food! We ordered their Schezwan chicken dumplings, Ming cumin lamb, Chilli shrimp, Burnt chilli garlic noodles, and Chilli chicken hakka style. All were delicious! However their dishes are expensive. And they add 20% gratuity on all orders which felt too much!

It was our first time here. There was a brief wait before we were seated. We got chicken drums of heaven along with virgin mojito and blue lagoon mocktails to start with. This was followed by chilli chicken and combination rice and noodles. The portion sizes were ample for 2 and the flavors were delectable. The chili chicken sauce was however not the authentic Indian style, it had an Asian touch to it. The place was crowded on a weekend so we had to wait for a while before we caught the attention of the servers .

Ming is great choice for Pan Asian food. My recommendations: Manchurian bao , burnt chilli garlic noodles American chopsuey was way too sweet.

M
Megha Madan

The coriander soup was extra tangy, perfect for those who love tart flavors however the Cauliflower Manchurian starter was quite disappointingly bland! The Hakka noodles and the entrees- Crispy Fried Mushroom and Shucai Clay Pot were excellent! A bit pricey considering portion sizes.

S
Sneha H S

Ordered take-out and was disappointed. The papaya salad was more 'desi' than Thai. Mapu Tofu had good spice. Chili garlic fried rice had no garlic in it. Stir fried garden greens were supposed to be in garlic sauce - no garlic there either, and it seemed stale/ reheated.

s
sanchita majumdar

The food is nice however the price is so not worth it. We were also group of 10, 6 adults and 4 kids, and paid 500 bucks for food and drinks!!! Every dish was atleast 20 to 25$. And the portion size has been reduced so you end up needing to order more food. The drums of heaven were just ordinary. Chilli garlic fried rice and noodles were nice. Fish chilli gravy and Shrimp chilli in appetizer were yummy. But again due to the portion size we needed to order more food:( The drinks were nice! Would request management to consider the cost of the food here. There are lot of better places that serve Indochinese food at way better prices..not worth the visit

Visited this place to try Indo-Chinese food. Nice & friendly staff and good ambiance. Food is average and portion size does not justify the price.

Service was good and very fast maybe because it was a Wednesday evening. Outdoor dining area was clean and a good experience. Food was mediocre and expensive. Fried Rice and Singapore style rice noodles were missing seasoning all together. We had kids in our group but even for kids the food was tasteless. No salt for some reason. Very bland and the vegetables in the fried rice and noodles were raw. That's why the service was really fast I guess. Drumsticks were good and chilli paneer was ok. 20% gratuity on all orders is a true rip off and adding additional tip on the receipt for food this mediocre is really greedy. The food is missing basic seasoning and charging 20% gratuity for that makes no sense.

Food is good. They do a great job in maintaining the quality & taste/consistency of standard dishes that they have nailed. If you’re looking to have some indo-chinese - Hakka noodles / chilli or munchurian preparations in general - Ming is good! There’s however, no experimentation with oriental cuisine, which I think can take this restaurant to the next level & I would love to see that happen someday! The cocktails are pretty great! Most have an Indian twist which I’m a fan of 😃 Update Aug 2022 - So disappointed with the chicken dishes today. The chilli chicken had been re-fried, you could make out because it lost all its tenderness. For a 20$ dish, this doesn’t work for me. The noodles was excessively oily. Ming has now added to my list of - hit or miss Indo-Chinese restaurants in NJ ☹️ Bringing the stars down on my review.

Had lunch at ming. Everything was good. We ordered Hakka noodles , crispy corn , American choupsey , chili paneer, honey chili potatoes and lava cake. American choupsey and Hakka noodles were average but everything else was good especially the lava cake. But it was too pricey and above that they take 20% service charge. So a bit too much on the price side.

Z
Zia Syed

The vibe here is pretty chaotic, probably because there's no soundproofing, I guess. For a fine dining place, the inside is kinda meh. The cutlery was out of fashion. The food portions were a bit small, but it tasted good. Prices are a little high.

F
Fenina Khajanchi

The food at Ming’s was flavorful, though the MSG was quite noticeable, which took away from the overall experience. Portion sizes were smaller than expected, making the dishes feel overpriced. Additionally, a 20% gratuity was automatically added for a party of just two, which seemed excessive. Hopefully, this gratuity benefits the serving staff directly, as it essentially adds up to the price of another entrée.

M
Mohit Tandon

When a tip of 20 % is preadded to you invoice , the management sends a clear signal to the clients, we dont care if you enjoy the food or the service since I will manage my cost by putting my employees on revenue sharing thru the fixed gratuity model. Rest feel free to come and experience, I cannot blame the employees for not showing up to check if you are satisfied or even if there is no spoon on the table or if you need water refill, since they know 20% is guaranteed. This is a management failure, Guess Ming has been around too long and just need a good competition

We went there for my daughter’s birthday….first we order drinks… mango lassi, pina colada, mango mock tail(all of them were just ok… mock tail was too much sugary), For starters we ordered….cauliflower manchurian (not good), spring rolls (ok), and Hakka noodles (too much plain… no taste at all), Main course we ordered Green Thai curry (pathetic… till date this was my worst green Thai curry….), for curry you have to order rice separately .

We had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant during a recent family dinner. We ordered Corn Soup, Hot and Sour Soup, Chili Paneer, Schezwan Noodles, Paneer Tikka Masala, and Garlic Naan. Unfortunately, the quality and safety standards were highly concerning. As we were leaving, we noticed that the mouth fresheners placed at the front counter were over a year past their expiration date. Even more alarming, my daughter experienced food poisoning later that night, which we strongly suspect was caused by the meal. This experience has made us seriously question the hygiene and food safety practices of this establishment. We hope the management takes immediate steps to address these issues to prevent such incidents in the future.

This place was really bad except for the gobi manchuri which was amazing (only reason it has 1 star). We ordered hakka noodles and chilli paneer and both tasted like something from a frozen boxed meal. I couldn't believe they charged so much for such poor quality food. I've heard great things about this place so idk if it's the pandemic or inflation, but it definitely did not live up to the hype. On top of that, they accidentally gave us tofu instead of paneer in our dish (we suspected it) and they didn't even tell us! They just watched us eat the tofu, and at the end of the meal they asked if everything was ok. We said at that time that their paneer tasted like tofu, and the guy chuckled and said yes we accidentally swapped you with another person's dish and he was suprised we didn't say anything. Wow! We asked for a refund which they did honor but that is seriously concerning. What if it was meat? (I'm vegetarian) The dishonesty is unacceptable.

I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Nothing like indo-Chinese Firstly, the service was terrible. The food was way too average and not at tasty. The ambiance was nice. We waited 20-25mins for the cheque to arrive we had to get up and remind them 2 times. Also, we were a table of 3 still we were charged gratuity and when asked they said it’s a company policy and he said if you want I can remove it. We were like ofcourse, we hated the service as well as the food why would I pay gratuity unnecessarily.

S
Steve oommachan

There was 20% gratuity included the service was bad.we asked for a straw to three times to ur server and he didn't give our straws. We got our straws after asking a different server and who was nice to us. The food was great and the only reason why I am giving an star. If they are including the grautiy then service must be great.

S
Shormishtha Ramani

The food, service and ambience was awful. Heard good things about the food but was severely disappointed. The servers were inattentive, callous and it seemed they just did not want to us to be there and themselves did not want to be there. Our appetizers were served after the main course arrived. The portion sizes of the appetizers and entree dishes were so small and not tasty. It did not taste like Hakka Chinese but instead tasted like someone threw things together and cooked it in a hurry. Not going there again. Prices are steep, food noy appetizing and service awful.

I've never had such terrible Chinese food. It was extremely salty. The environment was average. The utensils looked unclean. They also automatically charged a 20% tip. However, the waiters were generally nice.

Avoid Ming Restaurant: High Prices, Tiny Portions, and Terrible Value Ming Restaurant on Oak Tree Road is a massive letdown and easily one of the worst dining experiences I've had recently. If you value your money, your palate, or even basic customer service, steer clear. The first thing that hits you is the unreasonably high prices, which set an expectation of fine dining quality—an expectation that is immediately shattered. The portion sizes are laughably small, resembling appetizers rather than main courses. This poor value proposition is exacerbated by their utterly disappointing pricing structure. The greatest offense to value is the fact that no main course includes rice, Lo Mein, or any starch accompaniment. This means that after paying a premium price for a small dish of protein and vegetables, you are forced to shell out another $14 to $16 just for a basic side of rice or noodles to make it a complete meal. This egregious hidden cost takes the final bill from expensive to absurdly high, leaving you feeling completely ripped off. As for the food itself, the experience was painful. While spice is subjective, the heat level in our dishes was too high to bear, tasting less like nuanced heat and more like deliberate overkill. It felt like they were masking a lack of genuine flavor with an overwhelming amount of chili. We struggled through two bites before having to give up on half the meal. To top off the disappointing food and prices, the customer service was nonexistent. Our dishes were slow to arrive, and instead of attentive staff checking in, I had to get up and quickly seek out a server multiple times just to ask for the next course or even the check. This lack of professionalism made the meal stressful. Furthermore, for the prices they charge, one would expect a pleasant atmosphere, but the decor is incredibly ordinary and unremarkable, adding zero value to the premium pricing. In summary, Ming Restaurant delivers tiny portions, pain-inducing spice, and astronomical prices, all served up with subpar customer service in a forgettable room. There are countless better options on Oak Tree Road—save your money and your evening by dining elsewhere.

P
Pratap Pattanayak

Gratuity 20% they charge by default. So if if u spend 250 on dinner you pay 50 bucks on gratuity. Taste is great but service is bad in terms of basic details like if you ordered spring roll or noodles then what kind of spoon or fork should be given!!

A
Ashwin Athrey

Ordered from here last night. The noodles and chicken we were so stale, and within hours I developed severe nausea and ended up vomiting the entire meal the next morning. It was clearly not something that had been handled or stored properly. Food safety should be the absolute minimum standard for any restaurant. No customer should have to worry about getting sick after a simple meal. I strongly urge the management to review their food storage, freshness, and hygiene practices immediately. Sharing this so others can be cautious when ordering here. Hoping the restaurant takes this seriously and improves quality and safety going forward.
