Authentic donut shops are my favorite!! You can taste the love. Also, the owner was so kind and gave us extra donuts, which we didn't realize until we got home! If you are ever in the area, I definitely recommend you stop by (:

Two Fat Meatballs

VG and Leucadia were closed on Thanksgiving but this was open so we decided to give it a try. Donuts were fresh and service was excellent. The old fashioned and cinnamon bun were delicious. We were also given free donut holes. Plenty of parking in the plaza. Owner said that she will likely be closed by 11am because that is when they run out.

The owner is so hard-working and super nice! She was very kind to our children, we only found out when we got home that she had put extra donuts in the bag! Really fresh and soft high-quality! We definitely prefer family owned donut shops!

Small diner atmosphere with the BEST donuts ever! I don’t eat many donuts so when I decide to indulge, it’s going to be here! The owner is the hardest working and most kindest lady as well. The only place to go. I had to look up the name because it was introduced to me as “Sara’s” the owner/ operators name by friends. . Coffee is really good as well. There are other breakfast items that the guys say are delicious as well. Love this local family owned and run business! Debra

We have a family tradition of trying donut shops all around San Diego and on our travels. We have found that quality comes with independently owned places where the owners are artisans who make their donuts themselves and whose livelihood depends on their reliable product. Super donuts #2 is just such a place and our favorite donut shop in San Diego. Not fancy on the outside or inside, cash only. Just great donuts.

I couldn’t believe the level of service I received at this donut shop. I was on the way to a meeting and dying for some coffee and a little snack. I was actually dizzy because I hadn’t eaten in 24 hours and quickly googled a donut shop because I was so hungry. I walked in and saw a cash only sign and devastated because I knew I had no cash. The woman was so sweet and said it’s okay you can pay me later ??? I was so in shock and she served me the most delicious coffee and jalapeño croissant. I almost hesitated to post this because I don’t want anyone walking in thinking they’ll get something free (or take advantage) but I was so profoundly touched by her generosity (of course I returned and paid). Who knew an $8 coffee and croissant would be so meaningful but I was literally so touched by that and thought about it all day. I will say they have a customer for life after that! I’m only five minutes away so will make sure to get my morning coffee from them as much as possible. Amazing food and service 10/10. My new favorite donut shop and I will brag to everyone I know about their jalapeño ham and cheese croissants! The coffee is better than Starbucks and the croissant is the best I have ever had! Can’t believe I barely discovered this hidden gem!

The best donuts, the friendliest people. You will also get an "extra" every time you're there. Don't listen to people that are complaining about the cost. They are still so much cheaper than they should be. I know the donut shops off of the 101 are where out of towners are referred to, but this little unassuming mom and pop happiness palace will complete you. Also, they are extremely dog and lunatic toddler friendly.

WOW! I do not write reviews, but this donut shop was so amazing I had to write my experience! The owner of the shop was so sweet, and the donuts are totally delicious. I bought a custard filled chocolate bar, a custard filled maple bar, an apple fritter, a glazed donut, and an old fashioned donut from Super Donuts this morning for my family and I. Each and every donut was delicious! I cannot speak highly enough of the service and food from this establishment! Please stop by the atm before you go: they do not take card!! The donuts are 100% worth it.

I've waited in line at the fancy, trendy places. I've paid 5 times Super Donuts' prices for a donut elsewhere. I've refused to do business with companies that only deal in cash. Yet, here I am, running to the ATM again, because when my family wants donuts, they want Super Donuts. My kids love the bear claws and colorful super sweet donuts aimed at them. My wife loves the crullers. And I love their prices and the owner's generous approach to counting donut holes. Absolutely always a winner.

This donut place is a gem! Donuts are always so delicious, fresh, and made with lots of care. My mouth waters every time I walk in. It is cash only, but it is worth going to the ATM beforehand. The owner is always so friendly as well. If you love donuts, I highly recommend this place.

I'm just echoing what every body already says. The lady who works there is so welcoming and friendly. The donuts are delicious with a perfect sweetness and a slight crunch to some. We swung by around 6:30a and it was pretty quiet on a Saturday. I'm guessing the calm before the storm. Pricing is fair. Cash only.

The shop is dirty to the point of disgust. Garbage piled on the counters. Spills ans stains on the counter and floors. The clerk was not present when I walked in, which is understandable. But then when she appeared she was talking on the phone and was distracted with her own conversation making the ordering and payment process unnecessarily confusing. On top of it all the doughnuts were stale, bland, and unappetizing. This is my second time trying this shop. The first time was not pleasant either. I will not be going back.
