The patio area is amazing on sunny days and the food has great flavors.
Fantastic spot right on the water. Rice pilaf and garlicky green beans were AMAZING. Clam chowder is always good and you can tell they work with local fishermen for the freshest seafood. Beautiful views overlooking the harbor. Everything came out hot, fast, and fresh. Highly recommended!!!
Awesome as usual. Danny attended to us today and was great! Local caught crab enjoyed on sadwich with big chunks of crab super tasty. Clam chowder always good. Sun was out, just a gorgeous day eating great food on the deck!
I had a delicious meal with a beautiful view on a wonderful sunny Sunday afternoon. The outside seating was packed, and could've used another server for the deck area, that's my only ding. The food was delivered fairly quickly, and the portions were more generous than I expected; the fish and chips entree has 6 pieces of fish, your choice of soup or salad, and 2 sides. The oyster shooters for $3.95 were a nice treat, and the oysters were quite large. The clam chowder is flavorful and on thicker side, which I enjoy. They have a nice drink menu with options covering all the major liquors, a wine selection and several beer choices. I will be back again!
It was a Monday, party of six adults, we haven’t planned to have lunch there but it was a great unplanned choice! Most of customers were outside since the sky was so blue in a gorgeous winter day! The service was very good, friendly and accommodating! We were very pleased, everything we ordered tasted great, the size portions were generous and ingredients were fresh!
The food is delicious. I ordered a clam chowder bowl and wanted garlic bread so our waitress put garlic butter all in the bowl and on the outside!! It was absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to everyone. They also have amazing breakfasts too. The waitresses are all super nice!! We just love this place!!
Very relaxing outdoor patio overlooking the pier with harbour seals swimming around. Friendly staff. Tasty appetizers and great value entrees. Their fish and chip was delicious. They use red snappers for the bread crumb battered fish pieces. Great texture bite into the fish. I could feel the freshness of the meat as it came apart but maintained its delicate structure. The broiled white wine garlic broiled oysters were also fantastic. We could probably order another round of these yummy oysters. The fried oysters were also good with the tartar sauce. Clam chowder and tomato soup were also decent. Overall a very good place to unwind on a Sunday afternoon. There was no wait around 2:30 pm when we came in.
We stopped at Cafe Marina & Woodley’s Bar on our honeymoon for a late lunch and enjoyed the fish & chips, ceasar salad with chicken, clam chowder & broiled oysters. Everything was so fresh & tasted great! We sat right along the water and even got to see a seal playing around the boats!

The best clam chowder on the north coast of California. Very nice restaurant. Nice views of the harbor.
Very nice place! Great breakfast w/friendly service. Very clean.\nHidden gem just across the water from Downtown Eureka.

Love this spot! On a sunny day, eat here outside overlooking the marina and watch the boats, sea lions, and even otters float by while having a drink and some tasty food! Very friendly staff and full bar, with some good classic dishes on the menu. Last time I was there I even saw a pack of otters swim by! Amazing!
The place is right next to a dock so it’s very pretty to sit on the deck and have your breakfast or lunch. The view from the deck is very good. we got the calamari, shrimp sandwich and tacos. Calamari was okay, we’ve had better. The shrimp sandwich was good, it was very unique to see mini shrimps in it. With the coleslaw, the burger tasted very nice. Tacos were a hit, they had a lot of elements including pineapple which was unexpected. Overall good experience.

Beautiful view, good service, and tasty, inventive drinks. The food is probably 3 1/2 stars (I feel like the menu could use some updating) but the overall experience here is top notch.

Keep expectations low for food. Paying for ambience. Beautiful view of marina. Good service.
Beautiful outdoor dining- great view and nice atmosphere. Service a bit slow but it was a big crowd on a busy sunny spring weekend afternoon - chowder was good - burger, too but a really big bun

Lovely marina views; good food and nice service. Menu offers several selections from a lighter meal to two-course dinners.
Marina view dining inside or patio. Really enjoyed the Halibut fish n chips, was real nice. Friendly staff, be patient with them as crowds aren’t predictable
I was disappointed that a Marina restaurant did not have crab. I ended up getting an open- faced shrimp melt. The shrimp was good. However, it was rather dry and on a single piece of bread (so pretty small). The clam chowder was very good!
When we walked in and sat down and asked about recommendations the waiteress pointed out literally the 3 most expensive items on the list and didn't mention her opinion just said they were well spoken for. The highlight was the clam chowder which was actually really good and if you wanted to get anything here I would recommend that but the red snapper had little to no flavor it felt like I was eating just seasoning. The prawns were caked in so much teriyaki I couldn't even barely taste the meat and the steaks they offered were so thin that although we asked for medium rare it was going to come out well done regardless.
We tried to get a table at this restaurant for two nights but only succeeded on the second night after a long wait. Reach early as they don’t take reservations over the phone. The food was good, and they have a beautiful outside seating area. There was a mix-up with our order and the check, but they corrected it and offered a complimentary dessert.
Overall, not bad. Server seemed a little impatient and clam chowder had mixed reviews. One bowl had plenty of clams and the other two basically had cream of potato soup. I had the shrimp salad …
The view was beautiful, but the food was not the best. The service was polite and punctual. It is a casual place, not an upscale restaurant on the waterfront.

This review pains me, as this place used to be where you’d take someone for a “fancy” dining experience. My uncle, who’s 88, still remembers it that way. Unfortunately, it’s gone downhill slowly over the years. The atmosphere now feels more like a DIY café than a nice restaurant. The tables slide around on the fake wood laminate floors, the walls are stark and bland, and the echo is awful because nothing absorbs sound. The patio does offer a beautiful view of the marina and Eureka across the water, which is one of the few highlights. The food used to be decent, but on our most recent visit (at my uncle’s request), more than half of the meals went uneaten. Three of us ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo, and all three picked the chicken out and left it on the edge of the plate. It was old, extremely dry, tasteless, and just bad—not rotten, just unpleasant, like dried-out particle board. The noodles and sauce weren’t much better. My daughter, who usually eats without complaint, barely touched hers. I’m not picky, so I ate the pasta, but the chicken was inedible. The fish and chips tasted like frozen, no-name store-bought food reheated in a fryer. None of the other dishes looked appetizing either. My uncle enjoyed his red snapper—but to be fair, he’s 88 and prefers places like Denny’s, so his expectations are different. Service was friendly, and the staff was genuinely nice, which I appreciated. But the service flow was off. Plates arrived a few at a time—mine came five minutes before my wife’s. We didn’t mind, but some people would be upset. With a large group, I understand not everything can hit the table simultaneously, but the bigger issue was the salad. It arrived after our main courses, which is just poor timing. At that point, it’s either eat the salad and let your entrée get cold or skip it and eat limp lettuce later. None of the six kids finished more than a few bites of their food, and most of the adults didn’t either. The garlic toast looked toasted but was as soft as plain bread. The real disappointment, though, was that no one on staff seemed to notice or care about the piles of uneaten food. A quick, attentive check-in could have gone a long way, but instead, it felt like they were just going through the motions. I still left a generous tip because the staff was kind, but I won’t be returning anytime soon. If ownership or management changes, I might give it another try—but for now, the “fancy” dining experience this place once had is long gone.
Clam Strips minus the clams. If you like fried batter they are good. When I complained to manager her response was "I have been here for 6 yrs and no one else has complained" maybe my expectations of clam being in the clam strips was too high, the frozen ones in the store are bigger. They did give us a lot of frys with our meals Photo- I put a sugar packet on plate for size comparison
I had high hopes for this place but was disappointed.😢 Started with an appetizer of garlic fries which was a good size and had a decent amount of garlic ( cheese was a little weak). My Cajun red snapper was under seasoned and the bread overwhelmed the sandwich. The side salad had 1 cucumber slice, 1 beat and just greens (lame). The New England clam chowder was tasteless and mostly broth. I put hot sauce in it to help. The service was weak. Our dishes sat at our table the majority of the time and we had to flag her down for refills BUT the outside seating is awesome and view beautiful. Too bad the food didn’t match the location

I've eaten a lot of oysters and these by far are the worst I have ever had. Chicken sandwich tasted like it had been sitting in a fridge for a few days. Food definitely does not take like it is made fresh daily.
Love this restaurant as an out of town traveler. We come to the Coast and enjoy it about four times a year. Came over to Eureka for a milestone birthday, we decided to call ahead because we typically get an attitude when we arrive and ask for a simple table of four. This time we brought the whole family (15 people). We called ahead for a reservation and the person stated you can only have 15 people on a reservation, hence what we were doing, then stated we had to eat a banquet menu. We said we couldn’t do that based on dietary restrictions. The said, “okay, have a nice day” then hung up. Would not recommend based on their attitudes.
HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! And this was not the 1st time I've experienced this. But i keep coming back to give them a chance and every time I'm completely disappointed. And this place used to be so good. We used to bring all our friends here, people from out of town and we used to go at least once a week if not more. No more though. Just went here to grab a bite to eat. I literally stood at the "please wait to be seated" sign for over 5 minutes. Which doesn't seem like a long time but there were hardly any customers. There were 3 women at the bar, and one other table, that's it. The only other table was walking out as I stood waiting. Waitress was in the kitchen, looked right at me, went to drop off something for the customers at the table, then actually looked right at me and then went straight behind the bar and began to ask the women if they needed anything. What the hell?? Do you not know how to waitress? Food is good if you can get it to your table correctly. Other than that, the place is just horrible now. I will not be going back.
Came for a dinner, ordered dozen of oysters, as you can see on the picture this is just a gross “thing” from a can but they will charge you like it’s a real/normal one. Was waiting my order for a decade. And also, ahaha, the picture of quesadilla is for 9$. This is ridiculous, mess the order completely. No thank you. Disrespecting me because I’m not a citizen, well done. Discrimination from this person is unacceptable
