Extremely popular diner with a large, varied selection. We had a short wait, but it went fast and the staff stayed on top of it. The decor is retro modern with a 50's diner feeling but without the long narrow layout of an actual 50's diner. The wait staff was prompt and attentive and the food came out fairly quickly for such a busy place. The French dip was excellent as was the breakfast plate of eggs, bacon and home fries. There is a large selection of pastries and backed goods in the large display cases that can be purchased to go. There is also a classic sit down counter for single diners or if you just want a quick bite. The place is very well run and the rest rooms were updated and clean.

I had a hankering for pancakes for dinner and decided to drive about 20 min to get to the Red Line diner. I heard good things about their pancakes so was looking forward to having them. Wow, they did not disappoint! Fluffy and nice flavor and generous size. I ordered a short stack to accommodate some protein (2 over medium size eggs and 2 turkey sausage). The food was tasty and the service was fantastic. I was treated with such respect and warmth even though I was on my own. Add it it my food came out so quickly even as the place seemed quite busy on a Tues night. With diners it’s hard to know as they sometimes offer too many options and the quality isn’t great. However, people around me seemed pretty happy and I look forward to an actual dinner meal with my partner 🤣

Absolutely love this place. The staff is always so pleasant and the food is delicious. You get a lot for the money and make sure you try their desserts.

Got a burger, which was pretty good 🍔 Tasted good with the chipotle sauce on it & avocado 🥑, which was fresh ! It was the California burger. My husbands meal he loved as well. I dont remember the name of his meal. To go, we got two eclaries, & wow, those were amazing ! Def grab a sweet treat to go or have there. Our waitress was attentive & very nice as well.

I like diners; I love great diners. I love the Redline Diner. Very cool retro style atmosphere. Generous portions of classic diner favorites. Breakfast is always a winner and you can't beat their bakery. Gyro Omelette was packed with meat and veggies. Friendly staff that does a great job taking care of customers. Stopped off the highway looking for a gas station near 11pm. Immediately had my attention with the shiny well kept chrome exterior and DINER in bright lights. We were treated to an unexpected large menu and decided to do one breakfast meal and one lunch meal. 10/10 for both choices. Absolutely worth the stop, even just passing through.

This is a diner that does not limit itself to typical diner fare. The menu is large, and this restaurant is bursting with ambition to reach some lofty goals. With my visit, they hit those marks well. The food was hot and flavorful. The desert options are almost overwhelming. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They have earned a good reputation in the community, and I'm glad that I took the time to visit them on my trip. I will recommend the Blue Lagoon to anyone who visits.

A 1950s style Diner with excellent food & service. We had dinner there on a Thursday day night. I had the turkey dinner which was awesome, and my husband had a chopped steak meal. Hubby love the beef barley soup, and my salad with blue cheese dressing was perfect. The vegetables that came with it as sides were amazingly excellent, not overcooked, beautiful visually, fresh and delicious. Great, real mashed potatoes and gravy. Incredible dressing with the turkey and enormous portions. And they were not stingy with the cranberries sauce, which I happen to 💕. Loved everything about it. Our second visit was Saturday morning for a late breakfast. The corned beef hash and poached eggs I ordered were perfect, along with my rye toast and hash browns with onions. Great brewed decaf. Hubby loved his pancakes. Must tell you, when I got back to Cleveland & was talking about this with a friend who had also recently been to the Fishkill area she also love, love, loved Red Line Diner! So we may be starting a chapter of the "Red Line Diner Fan Club" in Cleveland Ohio! Will definitely go back there when we are in the area of Fishkill NY again.

I’ve been going to this diner for over 10 years and it gets better every time I go. The cheesecake and tiramisu here is some of the best I’ve ever had. The staff is always friendly, and they’re very attentive. This is definitely one of the best bites in Fishkill!

Update: First time here since covid, cold day so we decided to eat indoors (which is a first since covid started), they follow covid policies to the letter, SO pleasantly pleased! The food was fantastic! Everyone was very nice and we felt completely safe and in good hands, we are definitely coming back! They do provide tented outdoor eating with heating, but we had a family member who was older and was still too cold, so we decided to try indoor eating. The bathrooms were clean and had new devices installed to prevent actually touching doors with your hands and completely no touch wash areas from soap to water to drying. Very happy, thanks for being so conscientious! 💛

I love going to Red Line during my breaks at work and Michele always makes it a wonderful experience! She has such a positive nature and the best recommendations whenever I have a hard time deciding what to get. When I got the French Toast Supreme she plated it so beautifully I just had to take a picture before digging in

Everytime we come here, we get good food and good service, but today we received exceptional, quick, and very attentive service from our server Jacob. On our way out I made sure to speak to the manager and tell him now how pleasant and attentive Jacob as a server and that I'd leave a review. Wow, what an outstanding update to this iconic neighborhood diner. Thank you to the owner who obviously invested hard earned money in the renovation. Today we stopped by about 10 am 7/3/24, breakfast was plentiful and tasty. Daniel was pleasant and professional. This diner is great for both small and large groups. We liked the accessible handicapped ramps. Definitely plan to visit again.

So I stopped in for breakfast this morning after having blood work done across the street. I had a Tex-Mex Omelette which is my favorite. I was served by a kind young lady named Trish. Very kind and sincere with no drama made for a great breakfast experience for me. Just wanted to let management know. When I come in I will be looking for Trish. Thank you.

I love this diner. I love the broad menu and many options. The international coffee menu. The service has always been good here. I’ve never had to wait to be seated. I love the expanded outdoor section with large windows. I was there this past Saturday night for an Oktoberfest dinner with three other friends. We all enjoyed our meal. I especially loved my Wienerschnitzel! Everything was great! Upfront, I saw this beautiful review taped to the inside of the front booth, and I couldn’t agree more with the service.

I had such a great experience at Red Line Diner in Fishkill thanks to our waiter, Dario. From the moment we sat down, he was friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect. He checked in just the right amount, made great recommendations, and had such a positive attitude that really stood out. My Fiance and I had two great meals. I had the double decker burger with waffle fries which was absolutely amazing and she had the Rigatoni Woodsman. She loved her pasta!! If you visit Red Line Diner, definitely ask for Dario. He’s the kind of server who turns a good meal into a great experience!

Amazing meal. We've been here 3 nights in a row and had something different each time. They were all really good. Desserts are delicious. Tried a different one off those each day too. They are baked daily and may not have the same thing each day. If you think you like something, don't wait for the next day and you may want to stake claim if there's only a couple of pieces left. The meals are large enough to share or good portion leftovers. Ken was a great, attentive server.

EXCELLENT DINER! Don't miss out on the great food and service here. My son had the pictured burger, I had a quesadilla and my wife had a Greek salad. Everything was so good, came to the table amazing fast, and there was plenty for lunch the next day. Brought a slice of chocolate mousse cheesecake home too which was huge and delicious. Can't wait to go back! Was a bit pricey but well worth it. Parking lot gets full at lunchtime but plenty of seats inside. This will be a regular stop from now on. Staff are friendly and helpful.

Another great diner in the Hudson valley area. Open late, clean, with pretty good food and service. Some times the WiFi doesn’t work well, and there can be a wait due to the popularity of the place. I would recommend for a visit and to try the Greek dishes and the carrot-cheesecake, best I’ve tried in the area.

We have had so many exceptional experiences at Red Line Diner. Food, service, and atmosphere are 5 star. If you haven’t tried their sweet potato fries, try them! I have always disliked sweet potato fries bc they are usually soggy. They manage to get them super crunchy and serve them with honey mustard. Crave-able!

Really awesome diner. Everything is really great access the board. Food, service, and everything else. We went in for breakfast and everyone loved what they had. I had a classic breakfast with 2 eggs, sausage, home fries, and rye toast. It was wonderful. My wife had the crepe and she raved about it. Highly recommend.

Work had an end of year luncheon here today. The diner is beautiful, red and silver -modern decor and spacious. Food was well prepared and for the most part tasty.y co-workers all stated they enjoyed their food and was flavorful. I ordered a mushroom bacon burger and it wasn't bad- they forgot the mushrooms. The gravy for my disco fries was a scrumptious surprise, beefy and seasoned very well, best part of my lunch for sure! The kind of gravy that makes you wish you could drink it 🤣. The dessert menu was extensive with me many things made me on site- like the fresh strawberry cheesecake, and red velvet cake, as well as the tiramisu. I had a nepolian and it was super flaky with a delicious,decadent vanilla cream. I really enjoyed it! Overall I think this is a place I'd like to visit again and try the chicken franchise. Staff was attentive and friendly.

They have so much great food on the menu. I had the Bronzino special, and it was amazing! They also have the best chicken parmesan I have ever had. Do yourself a favor and save room for one of their fantastic deserts. You will see them all as you walk past the case.

I had Manhattan clam chowder for the first time (on a road trip from Oklahoma) and it was so delicious! The pot roast was also so good. My husband had a burger and he loved it and his sweet potato fries. Our waitress was super sweet and attentive. 10/10 would recommend and would go back! Oh,the dessert case looked AMAZING!

In the area for work and stopped by the Red Line Diner while in town and had an amazing dinner. Walking through the front door you are instantly transported back in time. The me I is expansive so make sure to take you time. I chose the open face roast beef sandwich and was not disappointed. The staff was very courteous and attentive and I had a great dinner. I wish I would have visited sooner during my trip as there is a few items I want to try next time I’m in the area.

This place doesn’t need another review since it’s so well known in the area, but it definitely deserves another one! This has got to be one of the best diners in NYS. You’ve got to see it and eat it to believe it. It’s huge yet service is brisk and attentive. The menu is extensive. You’ll be spoilt for choice. The portions are massive and reasonably priced. But above all, the food is excellent and well prepared with quality ingredients. My pot roast was so tender and paired well with the tartness of the red cabbage. The potato pancakes (like latkes) were perfectly light and crisp. The chicken parm was tender and with just the right amount of cheese. We were too full to have desert but enjoyed admiring the cake fridge.

We had a 2 night vacation to Splash Down Beach and Legoland. We ate 2 meals here. We had dinner and than breakfast on our way home because it was that good! The menu is gigantic and the deserts/milkshakes menu is huge too. They have a dedicated person just to do deserts. The staff was friendly and all the serve was super quick. We were shocked how fast the meals came out. It's has a great upscale diner feel to the restaurant and it was much larger than your typical diner. All the food was tasty and we tried a bunch of things on the menu. The portions were a good size too. But save room for dessert!

The absolute BEST diner I've ever been to!! We live 2 hours away in PA, and stopped here for breakfast before heading home from a weekend event. Everything was perfect, fresh, and delicious! (Especially the cinnamon raisin french toast. Mmm.). I was astounded at the food and drink options...this place has everything! I couldn't pass up an apple turnover to go and ate some later and I was happily shocked at how fresh it was! Definitely worth the money. I'd drive the 2 hours just to eat here again!

I'm in the area 1 - 2 times a month for doctor appts & stay at the Hyatt House across the street. I eat here every time I'm in the area. The food is always delicious, exactly how you ordered it, and no matter what you order you will not be disappointed! I like my burgers well done (which most other places gives me some pink and/or it's dried out) and they not only cook it how I like it, but it's still juicy! You get a lot of food for the price & prices are reasonable. My friend usually gets the meatloaf or penny ala vodka which both comes with salads & she has enough for leftovers the next day. Their cakes & pastries are so very yummy! Big fans of their Strawberry Shortcake. Staff is very friendly & helpful, quick with your order & checkout. Food is always ready the time they give you & still piping hot when we get it back to the hotel or when it gets delivered - I do get delivery from Door Dash from time to time. They have a huge selection of food. It's hard to find good old school diners these days, I don't know why but it is. The Red Line Diner is the best & has something for everyone! If you want a great meal for reasonable price head over to the Red Line Diner - you will not be disappointed!

Can't say anything wrong about this place. I used to work in the area a few years ago so I was well aware of how good they are. It's a diner but kicked up a few notches. I've never had a bad meal there plus they have turkey sausage and bacon...yessss. One of my favorite meals is the walnut crusted chicken salad, but I felt like breakfast this time. I almost ordered the salad to go, but I was very full and the salad is best served fresh. The staff is very attentive and kind. It's clean and well managed.

Vacation in New York so stopped in Red Line Diner. Little bit of a wait at 8:00 pm for dinner. Once seated it took about 30 minutes to get our food and although it was good, it wasn’t served very hot. Nearly everything on the menu is over $20. Meatloaf dinner is $18.95 and my wife’s Reuben sandwich was $22. Both were tasted good and descent serving sizes. All in all not bad but very pricy, I guess it is that way everywhere in NY.

Went for breakfast. Pros: The wait on a Sunday at 10:30am was about 15 minutes for a party of 4. Staff were still very attentive for how packed it was. Food was very good. Cons: They did run out of biscuits and they offered toast to replace it. Glass of orange juice was $8, which is pretty steep.

Come on a busy day and a twenty-minute waiting list confronts you unless your party is the correct size to be accommodated. Otherwise the food and service are quite good. Lots of attractive desserts displayed in the vitrine by the cash register, and clean bathrooms. Ample parking out front, and a bicycle rack along the side.

Food was very good, but probably overpriced by about 30% in my estimation. My $32 rigatoni meal would have been more reasonable if it were closer to 22, maybe 25... service was good and atmosphere is nice. Its well cared for inside.

This is the first time we have been to the Red Line Diner. When we arrived it took a little time for somebody to come and take our order, but once our waitress came over it was really good from there. She was a wonderful waitress. I had the corned beef hash and sunny side up eggs with hollandaise sauce and sausage and bacon on the side. See photos below. It was very very good. Perfectly cooked eggs!! I know that it is hard to find in a restaurant. I also had orange juice and coffee. Their coffee was very good . It was so good, I had 4 cups. 😲 He had stuffed french toast with strawberries and whipped cream and perfectly cooked sunny side up eggs with bacon. The food is very good and great quality. I will definitely come again, and I strongly recommend this diner. Not to mention their dessert case is absolutely mouth-watering.

Nice experience on a very busy day. Service was excellent even though the place was jammed. I had the Bang Bang Thai chicken & shrimp. Very nice flavors, rice and chicken cooked perfectly, but the shrimp were so overcooked they were dry and chewy. It was a shame because they were really nice sized shrimp. Otherwise I loved it. Everyone else at the table was happy with their meals.

Despite reviewing some rather unsettling reviews my husband and I decided to give them a try. Boy were we pleased to fine that they have the best burgers, (better than 84-Diner for sure), and great pene all a vodka! The Santa Fe eggroll appetizer was terribly bland along with the dipping sauce but obviously fresh and cooked well! I also added a side of salmon that could have used a little more seasoning but was cooked exactly as I requested! Very juicy and slightly crispy on both sides! Our waiter was very attentive and took the penne back to be remain. I prefer Al Donte pasta most more than likely would had appreciated how the pasta was made originally. Overall, great diner! Open late and wonderful experience!

Texarkana plate, tons of food for $33. The ribs were fall off the bone great and the chicken was moist and juicy. Didn’t like the French onion soup too much. This place had great service and great food. The waitress was very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. The prices are a bit high for what I thought was a diner. However, the service and atmosphere of the restaurant seemed to make up for that. Only thing I didn’t enjoy is because I was traveling on a business trip, I have a strict budget for meals. When I ordered my meal the waitress asked if I’d like soup or salad and what kind. I got the French onion soup which I didn’t even finish because I didn’t like it very much and had a huge plate of food coming. Great, but when I got the bill I see an up charge for the soup which I wish would’ve been disclosed before I ordered it. Was only $3-4 but due to the strict budget, I couldn’t leave as big of a tip for her as I’d like to have.

Good food and atmosphere. Waiter was very nice and attentive. The wings were tasty and cooked well, I’m not a waffle girl but the waffles here were very yummy.

Not the best meal that I've eaten on my trip. The most disappointing thing was I asked for tiramisu to go. Instead of putting it in a nice container. It was dumped into a cup with a lid on top so it didn't look very pretty when I sat down to eat it which is part of the enjoyment. Service was good. The broiled seafood dinner lacked a little pizzazz. I'll probably try a different diner next time.

The food here was delicious! I shared the calamari with a friend, and it was very fresh-tasting and not rubbery at all. I also had the Mac and Cheese Rib Melt, and it wasn't overwhelming, it was perfectly balanced, and the fries were nice and crispy. It was kind of crowded when we went, so the service was a bit slow, but overall this is a great place to eat if you're in the Fishkill area. Plus, the atmosphere was nice and retro, everything was clean!

We went well on vacation a few times because it was so close to our hotel the lunch food was not the best. However breakfast you must come and get pancakes or French toast was the best. We got cake from their display case it was ok not great.

My go-to spot for late-night eats! I usually stick to breakfast, but this time I tried the burger and sweet potato fries - and it was a great decision! Desserts A1. We heard this was a good place for decent food. I was hesitant after reading some reviews but agreed to try it. Sadly we were disappointed. The reviews about bland food are accurate. I ordered the balsamic blue bruchetta burger. Virtually no flavor. Looked great but lacked seasoning. My husband ordered the Philly cheesesteak and other than the mild flavor of the green peppers, there was zero flavor. Fries were fries. My cranberry margarita was tasteless, watery and just not worth it. Atmosphere looks great. Beautiful lights and brilliant red lights and red and chrome architectural design. Waiter was ok but after asking for a drink on the menu he informed us he didn't know what it was because "he doesn't drink alcohol". They didn't have the items needed for two different drinks which is why I settled for the cranberry margarita. Won't be going back. Oh...I will say the potstickers were pretty good although I wish the sweet sauce was served on the side instead of poured all over them...but still the most tasty part of the meal.

So I’ve often been here. Food is very good. I get the Rueben. Comes with French fries and coleslaw pickle too. Husband got a burger and fries. We never got the coleslaw. He wanted a slab on onion on his burger what he got was a shred. They charged extra for that. We both paid full price for our meals but because I wanted onion rings I was charged for those. Hubs got sweet potato fries and he paid extra for those. We were NOT told that. So our meal was waaaay over priced for what we got or should have gotten. If u r going to charge me for onion rings and still charge me for a full Rueben meal then give me the fries too.

I usually eat here a couple of times a year I met with a friend who drove south to meet me as I drove north to meet him. We were left unattended and had to flag someone down and ask if we could get a waiter waitress over so we can make make an order. This happens about 11:15 AM on Monday, 29 September. I matza ball soup which was just clear broth and one matzo ball. It was reasonably flavored but not what I expected. I ordered a fried chicken salad. It was not fried chicken. It was chicken cutlet, breaded, and cut into pieces. It was void of seasoning and flavoring.

I will start off by saying I am pickey with flavor, so if you're looking for flavor this is probably not the place to stop at. Food was bland. The service is great though I just admit. We had calamari, pot stickers, hamburger, pulled pork grilled cheese and stuffed fish. Everything just needed more flavoring. There is parking in the front and back.

Cute diner. I like the overall vintage atmosphere of the dinner. The service is good. Waitress was attentive. I had the western omelette which came with toast and potatoes and ordered a side of bacon. The omelet was good, but the potatoes were a bit too soft for my taste. Portions were really large. My partner had the eggs Florentine with sausage links on the side. He stated that the eggs were a bit overcooked, but enjoyed his dish. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

I wanted to give this place more stars because the other diners in my party enjoyed their food. But when a bug crawls out of your salad while you are eating it is just bad. It was a spinach leaf aphid on my Buddha Bowl and we only found one but where there's one...The managers came over and apologized and although they comped the salad and offered me other food my stomach was turning so I declined. I guess just don't order anything with spinach.

Initially, the meal started off well, and I want to acknowledge the excellent service provided by our server. However, when my food arrived, I noticed an issue with one of my mozzarella sticks. In a playful moment, I split it in half, only to find that it was undercooked and still had visible flour inside.

Keeps getting worse. Our last few pick up meals here were awful but we have been coming here for years as it's a staple in our community. We ordered again last night and spent $77.00 on 2 burger meals that were less than average, a Focaccia Panini that was NOT on Focaccia bread, and the most disgusting Steak & Avocado quesadilla that had to be taken apart remade with my own tortilla and their flour tortilla thrown away. It was a soaking wet sloppy, greasy mess.The cheap cut of steak was chewy, overcooked and under seasoned. The avocado was filled with black spots and rotting and it did not come with guacamole, sour cream or salsa as it said it did. Did I mention how wet the tortilla was that it had to be thrown away? The prices keep going up and the food keeps getting worse. Taco Bell makes a better quesadilla. We kept giving them another chance since they made it threw Covid and we try to shop and eat at locally owned businesses but we are done!

This place has gone downhill. I just spent 80 dollars on breakfast for two adults and a shared 2egg bacon and toast for two toddlers. Ordered my food ahead of time online and gave extra 10min just in case they were busy. Arrived for pick up & no o e acknowledged me. Waiter came to answer ringing phone but never acknowledged me. I was waiting before the phone started ringing. After answering the phone he still didn’t acknowledge me. Instead he decided to speak to another co-worker wholly didn’t acknowledge me. It wasn’t busy at all!! I was there at 10-11pm. Food was good but VERY UNHAPPY with service. No reason for no one to acknowledge me for that long when my Oder was just sitting and ready.

I use to love this Diner , the food is exceptional, however this review is not a good one. This past Sunday my wife and kids went there for dinner and after our meal the waitress brought us the bill on a credit card tray……normally that’s not an issue at most restaurants but at the Red line diner you always pay at the counter when leaving. I asked the waitress if we pay at the front and she stated “I can take it”. I knew that was unusual because I have been there many times over the years. The family across from us that happened to be Caucasian however, was given the receipt and asked to pay at the counter at their convenience. Is this a new policy that black families pay at their table? I didn’t argue I just paid my bill and left but I do believe it was racially motivated.

My wife and I have been going to the Red Line Diner for many years. We always thought the food was good. However, the last two times, I had hair in my food, and the time before that, I found plastic wrap in the mashed potatoes. The restaurant is always extremely busy, and I think this has caused their quality and care to diminish. After many years of going there, we will not be going back.

Today March 2 2026. 10:30 am for breakfast. Someone ordered a dessert the waitress picks up a cherry with her bare hands and puts on top of the dessert. Then the tall guy that works up front and sits you down did the same thing with shake someone ordered. Takes a cherry with his bare hands and puts it on the shake. No gloves. And right besides the cherries they have spoons which they could have used. Disgusting

Customer service and serving what you actually order is definitely not this diner’s forte! I ordered my $17.95 cheeseburger with the condiments I enjoy with my burger, and low and behold after picking it up and heading back home across the river, everything I requested was forgotten so I had a nice cold dry burger. Of course I called the diner to question why what I requested during ordering was missing and Nick told me “sorry I’ll be sure to speak to my staff so they’ll be more aware next time”. That’s nice and all but that doesn’t change the fact my $17 wasn’t prepared as requested, only for him to reply he would give me some “sweets” the next time I came in, something he’ll never have to worry about happening ever again! When I spend my hard earned money in your establishment and you make an error on my order, I expect you to make good on your error with a reasonable resolution I didn’t come there this evening and order “sweets” I ordered a $17 basic cheeseburger that wasn’t served as I ordered it. You know what you can do with those sweets!

Perfect for anyone that doesn’t like seasoned food. NY strip a bit on the tough side, no seasoning was used whatsoever. Pot roast looked and tasted like it came out of a can. Still had no flavor.
