Opiniones de Fresco Franklin Square
I would give Fresco 10 stars if I could. We attended the Christmas Eve dinner and it was simply outstanding! The ambiance was fantastic, with lots of foliage, lights, live music, and an enthusiastic service. The food was excellent! We probably had 15 things off the menu and everything was delicious. Even the bar area was really cool. Do yourself a favor and check this place out! We will be back!
Absolutely phenomenal. The owners (Rosanna, LJ, Jenna and family) are wonderful hosts. We felt as if in a high end Tuscan trattoria. The food is simply incredible. Well served, beautifully presented and flavorful without being overbearing. There are hundreds of Italian options in NYC but Fresco is now our favorite! Must trys; Duo Cavatelle, Canneloni and the Ice cream sandwich.
I highy recommend this restaurant. From the start, we first go in the girls at the front were so friendly so much so that I felt as if I knew them for years. Very nice. The food, we had the meatball, which was huge and it was fantastic! We also had some pasta bolognese which was also fantasic. Plus we had the pizza and it was just perfect. I can't say anything wrong. The atosphere, the serice all feels like family. We are waiting to go back in a couple of months. This place is not cheap but its all worth IT!
Had dinner here for my birthday and the food was delicious. The Dover sole was excellent. They had a lobster appetizer that was really good also. The DJ was playing great music. Will return soon .
Been here a few times now and can say this is by far the best Italian restaurant the meatball is a must! The frito misto a must! And the burrata was delicious a must! I recommend the pasta dish as fresh and delicious sad couldn’t make it to dessert but will be back for Valentine’s Day Rosanna Scotto was there and didn’t get a chance to meet her but she was welcoming the guests at the bar and makes the night even more memorable will be back for Valentine’s Day!
Omg what an amazing evening we had!!!! We stumbled across Fresco on a Saturday night. When we walked in it was full and surprisingly they had a table for six. From the moment we walked in the waiters and manager were super friendly , the vibe was upbeat and fun and fabulously decorated. We had a table at the back but next to a large table who were celebrating a birthday. There was a fabulous DJ playing amazing music. When they brought out the birthday cake for the table next door they had big sparklers, a sign with the name of the birthday girl like in the clubs and waiters all Dancing and clapping . The whole restaurant was clapping and singing and it just got better from there. More fabulous music , people doing a conga line and everyone clapping and singing. The food was so delicious!!! Super fresh, homemade pasta, fabulous gluten free options and when we said two of us were sharing , they came and divided the plate already for us. Dessert was so delish and you would never know two of them were gluten free. To get the full birthday treatment they do charge $50 per person but it comes with a shot for everyone, the sign with the name on it and multiple delicious desserts. Highly recommend but go on a Saturday night when it is bustling and full of fabulous energy.
We booked a table as we happened to pass it on our way back to our hotel, 2 blocks away., for that evening. Glad we did! They warned us about loud music (wasn't that bad). It added to the evening and we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. Not the place for a quiet romantic evening. Food portions are on the large side but all tasted good and very attractive service. Think of sharing! Would recommend it to anyone from the UK. Pricey but not for New York!
Came here tonight with my bestie for restaurant week and we had a great experience. The service was very good, I didn’t vet the waiter’s name but he was nice and attentive. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very calm and elegant and overall just felt nice. Also an intimate setting and great for having dinner with loved ones. I got the salmon tartare as my app, and the rigatoni bolognese along with the tiramisu for dinner. Everything was delicioussss. The salmon tartare was honestly one of the best things I’ve ever tasted lol. And the pasta was a nice big portion and very well made as well. My aperol spritz was also very good. Definitely a great restaurant. It is a little expensive but I would say just come prepared to spend lol. The quality of the food is worth it.
We celebrated our anniversary with dinner at Fresco by Scotto, and it couldn’t have been more perfect! We had a wonderful table on the sidewalk right outside the restaurant. The service was excellent with exactly the right amount of care and attention from the wait staff. The hostess was so warm and welcoming that we felt as if we were regular customers even though we had never dined there before. The food was exceptional, and we were very happy with all our selections. We ordered off the Restaurant Week menu, and now we want to go back and try the regular menu (especially the famous meatball!). And as if that weren’t enough, Rosanna showed up while we were eating, and she stopped by our table to say hello and wished us a happy anniversary (we’re longtime fans, so that was a thrill)!
What a wonderful experience. We went to Fresco for a birthday and it is wonderful place to celebrate milestones. It is a very family friendly restaurant for up scale dining and it is festive and energetic. I had the fish and it was amazing. We were there Saturday night and there was live music from 8-9 We’re not New Yorkers so all the attention and intensity was a bit overwhelming but it was certainly a good time.
I was so glad to take my cousin and her husband to this restaurant. The festive decorations and the positive attitude by the staff made us feel so welcome. The food and service did not disappoint. We started we the large meatball and fried calamari/shrimp/octopus combo. We then moved onto to the gnocchi with sausage, clams with spaghetti and the veal chop. The meal was finished with the cheesecake and banana pudding. I can assert that we were all very happy with our meal. The outstanding standouts were the meatball, clams, fried combo and the cheesecake. We also enjoyed the house wines by the glass. The chianti was especially tasty.
Hadn't been back to Fresco by Scotto for a good 15 years or so. I remember liking it then and finally returned today out of convenience. We ended up having a fantastic time. The service was excellent, and our lobster cobb salads, while expensive, were outstanding. We'll definitely return much sooner for the next visit!
Just happened to walk by this restaurant while in search of a place for dinner and so happy we found it! The service from the beginning to end was amazing. Our server Diego was very friendly and welcoming making us feel right at home. Food was delicious and the atmosphere was beautiful, especially on the patio. For dessert they asked if we would like to sit outside instead to enjoy the weather and DJ. I would definitely come back if ever in New York again.
Great food, solid service and a fun environment. Fun DJ on the weekends gets guests up from the seats to dance. The team working were all having fun and truly enjoy being there. If looking for something different than a stuffy restaurant this is the spot. Also try the pizza, so thin and crispy, Amazing!!
I love love, the vibe and atmosphere there! The outdoor is so beautiful and cozy. Staff are super amazing. So fun place to go with friends and have dinner. Loved it there! However the food and desert are not the best for their price. I’ve had much better pasta and lamb chop at other places. The Tiramisu is just fine and really sweat. The gelato desert however are decorated and designed beautiful (saw it at other tables.) Anyway, I highly recommend it to go there at least once, worth the try! :)
I discovered Fresco by Scotto about 3 years ago from a friend who owns a restaurant in Manhattan. The food was absolutely delicious, that it became a business meeting place from time to time. We started to do our Christmas parties here about 2 years ago. Never a problem except for last night. Of all dishes to mess up, it was my boss's dish. He ordered Chicken Scarpariello peppers, onions, spicy chicken sausage. There was literally one piece of sausage on the side dish. He complained and they brought him another side dish with again one piece of sausage. He then again asked why there was no sausage in a chicken sausage dish. He was then given ANOTHER side dish with more sausage but the sausage was ice cold. I felt it and it was. He had to insist on taking the dish off the bill. We didn't want extra desserts at that point. I was very disappointed. For some reason the food was off last night.
The interior decor is amazing. We came here during for team lunch. Started off with a mango margarita which was a tad too sweet. Got the margarita pizza to share for the table. It was super salty. I ordered from the lunch pre fixe menu. The meatball was HUGE, more like a meatloaf. Tasted average in my opinion. The rigatoni bolognese was a smaller portion but very good! After the quick coffee, everyone sat around waiting for their dessert, which they forgot to bring out until we reminded them after the check.
We noticed some nice blue flowers and decided to drop in for a meal. The decor inside was nice, especially the giant tree in the middle. The spacing is very limited, so the staff had to pull out the tables every time we needed to move in/ out. The olives were quite hard and sour. The breadsticks were a bit tough. The tartare was a tad spicy, but well done. The mussels were more sour than I like. The risotto was plentiful with no unique flavors. The salmon was a bit small. The lemon sorbet was surprisingly not sweet and light. The tiramisu was decent.
My girlfriend and I visited Fresco on Valentines Day after securing a reservation one month in advance. We were welcomed by the hostess and seated by the front door near the bar. I do not believe this was the "Main Dining" area noted in our reservation. It was very busy and consumed with the constant flow of incoming and outgoing patrons, and those at the bar brushing up against the tables. The smoke from cigarette smokers standing near the front entrance was prominent. Since it was Valentine's Day, we decided to just deal with it and enjoy the night. The table was nicely decorated with Valentine's Day décor. Our server introduced himself and handed us the food, wine and special Valentine’s menus but he didn't highlight any specials. He was the only server working the front area with about 8 tables. After sampling a wine, we ordered a Moscato wine and an Old Fashion. My date was surprised to receive the wine in a Champagne glass not a wine glass, particularly because everywhere we looked other diners were served with a wine glass. The Old Fashion was very tasty. She also ordered a diet coke but it took a second reminder to finally receive it. We ordered the "For the Table" Mama Scotto's Meatball appetizer which arrived fairly quickly and our server cut it for us. We appreciated that but would have preferred if he asked us first. The meatball was huge and absolutely delicious. As our main entrees we order the Rigatoni Bolognese and Filet Mignon Al Marsala. A kitchen worker delivered the entrees. They were both excellent. About hallway through my Filet Mignon, I finished the Old Fashion and waited for our server to order another one. Another 20 minutes past and our server was just too busy setting up new tables or helping other tables. He seemed only able to handle one request at a time because didn’t scan the area to determine if anyone else needed assistance. By the time he returned to our table I gave up on a second drink and requested the dessert menu. 10 more minutes elapsed before we received the dessert menu and another 10 minutes waiting to place an order for Tiramisu. We waited at least another 20 minutes before the dessert was delivered by our server. I suspect he forgot to place the order. The Tiramisu was delicious. Two hours into our dinner date we waited for our server to request the check. I asked my date to try to flag him down while I visited the Men's Room. The bathrooms were up a flight of stairs, which I’m sure is very challenging more senior patrons (and I’m 64). After returning the server still hadn’t returned to request a check. It took another 10 minutes and waving him over to finally request the check and more time to actually deliver it and process my payment. Overall, we were very pleased with the food and drinks but the service was extremely slow, and foot traffic overbearing. While I understand Valentine's Day is a very busy service, I don’t understand how a restaurant of this high caliber didn’t add more servers. I don’t blame our server. He was in over his head. Service = 2 Food = 5 Atmosphere = 3 Cost = 3
I adored seeing the beautiful Scotto entire family for years on the Today show…highlight for many years!! They felt like family of sorts via television back in the day. Warmed my heart. Years ago we came to this restaurant and loved it. We returned last night for a special dinner of 6. I chose it bcz I knew we would have great food and we did, we had apps which were fabulous. However, I was mortified. There was a DJ playing extremely loud music that’s not dinner appropriate to say the least. I did ask they play some dinner appropriate music but that’s not the scene here. People were waving napkins as they did conga lines through the restaurant weaving thru tables. I felt like I was attending a cheap wedding or at a nightclub. Listen I love to dance and I love music but again this was like a horrible wedding or a club let loose!! I expect this from a restaurant trying a gimmick to attract business when they can’t rely on their food. The Scotto family knows food!! They are truly Italian as are we. I did speak with the GM there whom was a perfect gentleman and did suggest we return when it’s not a Friday or Saturday night. Unfortunately we dine out on Friday & Saturday nights so instead of wonderful memories of the great Scotto family, I’m stuck with a terrible memory of this disaster eve and embarrassed we brought our friends here. Ps. We left before ordering entrees and went to Il Mulino and had fabulous food & service there and are off to La Boheme today -always love NYC.
I want to start by saying this is a well-decorated, lively restaurant with a vibrant atmosphere. It tends to be quite busy, and I've came here twice so far. While the experience was decent, the food is definitely overpriced, with entrées ranging from $40 to $80 each. The menu also changes seasonally. Here's what I've tried: - Truffle Arancini: I would skip this dish--four large, fried cheese balls that are overly heavy and bland. - Salmon Tartare: Good, but not exceptional; you could pass on this one as well. - Pappardelle Bolognese: A solid choice. - Clam Linguine: Excellent--definitely a dish you can't go wrong with. - Tiramisu: Decent, but nothing extraordinary. - Banana Pudding: Far too sweet; I couldn't finish it. - Ricotta Cheesecake: Just okay, not particularly memorable. On a positive note, the service was great, with attentive and friendly waitstaff throughout the meal.
