Coffee Code in Fullerton is praised for its consistent espresso, flavorful coffee (often described as chocolate-ty), and excellent service. The caramel latte, coffee ice cubes, and fresh pastries are popular. Some find the seating limited and occasional inconsistencies in drink preparation.
Tip: Try their espresso-based drinks, especially the caramel latte. If you like iced coffee, they use coffee ice cubes!

I tried the hojicha latte and the café latte at Coffee Code, and both were absolutely delicious. The hojicha latte had a rich, roasted flavor that was smooth and comforting, while the café latte was perfectly balanced and creamy. I really enjoyed both drinks and would definitely come back again!
A great coffee shop serving flavorful and bold cups of coffee with a side of tranquility. Serves what seems fresh bakery items that pair well with the coffee that is offered. A much calmer and relaxing environment than other franchised coffee shops. The location offers a great view to enjoy sunrise. The coffee cake was delicious. Prices are no different than any other coffee shop. Yet it I felt much better patronizing this store as it feels like a true small business.
I left my expectations to be met, but when I took the first sip, I was surprised! I ordered a caramel latte, and the espresso had a beautiful bitter and "fruity" note! It's a rare find in smaller coffee shops. And the blueberry muffin was amazing, super moist and delicious. The coffee and muffin were an elite combo.
Bright cafe with minimalistic interior design with decent amount of seating. Staff was nice and fast with their service I orderd the White Chocolate Latte, it was creamy, foamy, a bit on the sweeter side, but still good. I loved the foam art!
On my way back from a doctor's appointment in the Fullerton area, I had a craving for a refreshing tea. To my delight, I stumbled upon a tea shop that offered a variety of loose herbal teas, including caffeine-free options. Parking was ample in the small lot shared by several businesses. The outdoor seating area provided a pleasant spot to enjoy the tea on a nice day. Inside, there were various seating choices, including bar stools overlooking the bustling and stylish brewing area. Peter, the friendly server, assisted me in selecting the Herbal Forest Berry tea, which he recommended iced, and it exceeded my expectations. Brewed with freshly loose leaves, it was served at the perfect temperature. The only thing that could have improved my experience would be gluten-free and/or vegan pastry options or snacks to accompany my drink. Peter mentioned they have two other locations in Norwalk and Buena Park, which I'm eager to explore in the future.
Super good caramel latte! I loved that it didn't taste too much like milk and actually had that caramel coffee flavor!! My partner also enjoyed their Blueberry loose leaf tea. The vibes were super chill and relaxed, study friendly. Very clean and the drinks came out pretty quickly too!
Looking for a near by cafe that had a decent amount of chairs for studying for a bit. Found this place, first time trying it, after hearing about it from a friend. I love the fact they use coffee ice cubes. I was not sure what to get, and the barista was kind enough to recommend something that suited my palate, not too strong, or too sweet. They recommend a medium Ice Demerara Oat Latte, it had brown sugar. And just like they said, it was just the right amount sweetness and coffee flavor. I also got a waffle, also had the splendid amount of sweetness and freshness to it. I look forward to coming back.
Best coffee in town! Takes I little time to get your coffee but that's because they ground the beans when you order. Good baristas and nice owner William. Will be back soon!
If you find yourself in need of coffee and tea, Coffee Code has one of the best brews in the Fullerton area.
The staff are awesome 10 out of 10 definitely recommend!
This place is amazing. I love their pour over and the hazelnut latte. This place is not too busy, but it has amazing drinks.

This place is amazing. I love their pour over and the hazelnut latte. This place is not too busy, but it has amazing drinks.
Awesome coffee! If you have an Iced coffee they have coffee ice cubes!!
I have been to various coffee code locations and every single time, their espresso is consistent. I highly recommend any of their espresso based drinks. I find that their coffee blend gives off a chocolate-ty taste and aromatic which compliments the base (milk) very well. Not to mention, they use coffee ice cubes so the drinks won’t become diluted once the ice melted.
Always friendly, always helpful. Great coffee in an always clean environment. Been a customer here since they first opened. Support local, shop local!
Coffee Code and Stereoscope are my favorite coffee shops in the area. Used to always go to the Buena Park location but so glad they opened up this location closer to home.
Best herbal tea selection I have found in this area. Usually it is catered for coffee but this one had different teas!
Super tasty coffee and friendly staff. 👍🏼 I recommend the iced Spanish latte. Also, the hipster vibes exist there, but are not overly oppressive, which is a good thing. 🙃
All Latte are good. But Barista is little unfriendly when I visited. Worth the coffee but not much of the service
Love this place! Please though, this is an espresso bar, not a "sit and do your homework for 5 hours" place. Invite friends, sit and talk together, then leave and let someone else sit down. It's simple!
Brewed coffee is priced well and has a fruity flavor. The place has modern design and a chill atmosphere.
Coffee was delicious! Im so picky with coffee but i must say they have good coffee
Cool and unique drinks at this lovely coffee shop, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating! Very nice staff as well
Amazing! Great coffee. Very bold and yummy. I got a vanilla late and it was really good
The best iced hazelnut coffee, iskamo, cold brew, and foam art around using counter coultur roasted coffee beans.
The coffee here is by far some of the best I've ever had. The staff is so great!
My flat white was better than expected and with a lovely final touch! The place was clean and staff was attentive and friendly.
Super trendy and friendly! Loved the iced coffee system they have! You gotta go see it for yourself.
I had a latte it was very good. The place was packed so there was no place to sit.
Beautiful coffee designs! Very clean and lovely atmosphere. Impeccable service
This place has hands down one of the best coffee in Orange County. They take their time and know how to make it right
PEANUT BUTTER LATTE. DO IT. That’s the review. Thx 4 reading.
With a great selection of specialty espresso drinks like the Spanish Latte, Coffee Code is a spot I will likely return to.
Best coffee bar in Fullerton hands down. Parking is never a problem and never gets too crowded.
Best coffee in Fullerton! Love their muffins and pastries as well.
I was in the area for work and have made it my mission to find good coffee wherever I go. Well, mission accomplished! I got an iced Strawberry latte with oat milk and an extra shot. Wow! It sooo delicious that I would actually go out of my way to have it again. An extra plus, is that the service was ultra friendly.
I was just visiting the area and needed to find a coffee joint. Across the street, I had the option to go to the evil empire of Starbucks, but chose to go to Coffee Code instead. I'm so glad I did. Actually felt welcome and the coffee was great too!
Coffee code is a great 3rd wave coffee place! The vibe is very clean and simple, the staff is nice, and the coffee is excellent. They pull Counter Culture coffee which taste really great. They have stuff that’s coffee forward but they also have stuff for people who want sweeter drinks. My wife loves the Carmel Latte and told me it’s the best she’s ever had.
Coffee Code is a local coffee shop that offers great coffee and pastries. My favorite is their iced vanilla latte with oat milk. I absolutely love that they use ice cubes made out of coffee. As the ice cubes melt the coffee keeps its coffee flavor instead of getting watered down compared to ice cubes made of ice. Another favorite is their hot spanish latte with oat milk. The coffee shop itself is small from the inside but very comfortable. They have a sitting area outside that is perfect for catching up with friends or just enjoying your coffee with fresh air. I definitely recommend comming here. Sometimes their is a bit of a wait since they have takeout and online orders as well, but patience will get you a great coffee.
very delicious (: I love that they use frozen coffee as ice cubes so that your iced coffee never tastes watery. I did not like their strawberry iced coffee at all and only tried it out of curiosity. I’ve always loved their plain or Carmel flavored drinks.
I've always looked for a white coffee shop.. I get inspired in brighter spaces and was tired of dark wood coffee shops. So happy I found this one! I love the Iced Hazelnut Latte + one extra pump of hazelnut ! The only negative is that it's such a small space
Love coffee code! I go here for my morning latte fix!!! Their strawberry latte and hazelnut is my fav!! Their iced coffees are different because they are coffee ice and not just regular ice. Also their pretzel croissants are so goood!!!
Instantly became one of my favorite spots. The crew is nice, calm, and respectful. Everyone who walks in here, walks in with a smile (even if they are stuck on a laptop doing homework. I have yet to find a location that can make a dirty chai as tasty as Coffee Code. You get to also see their awesome Cold Brew Towers in action. Keep it up Coffee Code!
Walked to Coffee Code and sat outside enjoying a Carmel Latte and sweet croissant. As always the girls behind the counter we're gracious and the service was great. Good neighborhood spot to spend an early Saturday morning.
Lovely with a beautiful vibe. My only complaint is that there is often nowhere to sit as it's so popular :) Hughly recommend the peanutbutter latte for anyone who get shaky when they drink coffee
This is the best coffee you can get anywhere near this neighborhood. I personally prefer this location somewhat to the Buena Park one, but both are good. This one is newer, with more updated fixtures, and it is more pleasant. I really like the guy who runs the place. He puts up with my wife's occasionally silly requests with good humor. I should really get his name. I have had their pour over coffee, a latte, an espresso or two, and their cold brewed iced coffee. All are really very good, and pretty much worth the extra expense over some of the competition. There aren't many seats inside, but they have quite a few tables outside. The baristas here really do seem to care about what they're doing, so it does take a bit longer. I saw a woman getting a bit bent out of shape because she was in a hurry, but this isn't the place for that (and seriously, it isn't like it was forever - it just took a minute or two longer than she might expect at Starbucks, because they aren't serving pre-brewed coffee, okay?). Anyway, I highly recommend this place.
What a treat! I love everything I've tried there. I say treat because their drinks are special and also pricier than other places. Not sure ill go every day, but I will stop by before a long drive or bring a friend!
Good coffee is great, finding a place that has perfect espresso is the diamond-in-the-rough. Smooth and with great nuance, the entire menu delivers a quality caffeinated drink.
Great neighborhood coffee spot. Cold brew is bomb and everything else is great too. Great for those who like good coffee, but not if you're only a recreational drinker (i.e. your favorite coffee drink os a caramel frap).
Very chill coffee place. I had the ice pour over and it's on the vit acidic side, but it tastes very good. Small and cozy. Might try the hot pour over next time
I'm a pretty big fan of coffee code. I remember when the first one opened in Buena Park. Saying that, I finally got around to checking out the coffee code in Fullerton. It definitely has a different feel that the original one. It is much smaller, but it really does have that espresso bar feel. When I went there, I made sure to sit down in the "bar" area. The menu isn't as expansive, but again I this location is doing that on purpose. One of those places where you can just sit, relax and really enjoy your day.
Well balanced, smooth, and beautiful cup of flat white. Friendly, knowledgeable and fast staff. Clean and quiet environment. Baristas come to talk about how to make a good brew.
The best cold brew I've ever had in southern California!!! We drive the 20+ minutes every Saturday to this place just so we can have their delicious cold brew 😍😍😍
It was sooo good! I had an iced hazelnut latte with almond milk and half the syrup. WONDERFUL! Plus the ice was frozen coffee! They truly care about the customer.
Really great espresso; nice, bright atmosphere, laid-back and friendly employees, good music. My favorite coffee shop in the area.

Alright, I’m not here to talk about anything except the coffee. When I go to any coffee spot I have a base line drink to try, which is just a simple iced caramel latte. I’ve been to a majority of the coffee spots in Orange County and let me tell you…the owner of Coffee Code knows how to blend a bean man. I have a mid to upper tier espresso setup at home where I conduct my own blind taste testing on my family. I’ll get the local shop’s beans and pit them against one another. I’m not even lying here…coffee code has won every single time with every single person I’ve tested the beans on. And there’s sometimes 3-5 different selections going on. To note: $20 for a bag of beans is so much!! But take a look at some other local places and they’re at similar price points. What you should do is just buy their 5lb bag for $80 and the normal 12oz bag comes out to about $12….big savings people. I’ve only found one “alternative” that’s similar enough and that’s the Counter Culture brand. I wont give away the exact one that’s so similar! Go have fun and taste a couple of their blends! Also, this shop uses Monin syrups….its super biased and I’m not basing my opinion on the price of the syrups by any means, but they’re the bomb dot com. I wouldn’t order on Amazon, but instead order from a supply house for like $6-8 a bottle instead of Amazon’s $17-20. I’d love to chat with whoever blended their Fair Lady beans at Coffee Code! Genius.
I think they have the best hot caramel latte. The service is always good and the store is spotless clean. Seating area inside is somewhat cramped and limited chairs and tables outside.
Coffee is amazing, they use Counter Culture beans which are an East coast roaster. The flavor is rich and smooth. Their lattes, iced lattes, cappuccinos, etc are so good. I've never had a bad cup of coffee and I love that they always say hello and good bye when you enter and leave. Not pretentious at all like other craft coffee places. This is my favorite coffee shop! Try them, you won't get disappointed!
I've gone here many times ever since they opened and I still love it. Probably has my favorite iced mocha of any coffee shop. If you like making your own pour over / French press / etc. at home then I'd recommend picking up a bag of beans as well (the Guatemalan and Ethiopian bags are always really good)

This is a real small venue with limited seating but plenty of parking. I bought a croissant, which are baked fresh everyday Mmm. All of the pastries are above $3.00. Bathrooms are clean and without a code. If you want to work on a laptop note there is only one outlet by the table closest to the restrooms. Barstools are a nice touch though. The outdoor seating and music choice is lovely too. This is a nice place to get coffee with a friend.
Excellent coffee. I enjoyed the vanilla icecream with a shot of espresso. Staff is really knowledgeable. And it's a nice place to hangout with friends or go out on a date.

Really good coffee place -- not such a great place to work! The wifi is not very strong :/
Very nice small coffee shop very well maintained super friendly staff coffee was excellent I've been back once more time since I'm not always in that area but when I am I will stop by and I suggest if you're from there you go try it out it's excellent coffee Excellence staff super friendly towards customers
We like their coffee specials like the peanut butter and demerara iced drinks. Cool, sleek interior, informative staff.
I enjoy coming here for an amazing latte. These guys have national championship quality latte artists. Give them a try.
Up to date coffee shop ambiance, tasty espresso, friendly service, AC and sans obnoxious music. Docked a star because of lack of outlets 😝
Nice coffee and pastries. I like that they offer a few herbal loose leaf tea choices.
Love there coffee
Coffee is just normal, ( yes , with art & mood might make it special to you) Parking is always available. Space in store is kinda small, not many tables there. They also have some outside. But this area is usually windy. (Fyi) I came here at their Grand Opening at night. Service is friendly. But to be fair 4 stars.
I am a coffee enthusiast. I tried all gourmet cafe around north Orange County and Coffee code is the best. However, I took off one star because of their limited available seats and the location.
Coffee Code Espresso Bar (CCEB) in Fullerton-is a neighbor of the brightly colored Del Taco. CCEB is owned by multi-award artists/co-owners William and Angie Chun. Work to those at CCEB is art, William (co-owner) Aira, Nicolette, and David are artists in residence. Regulars are coveted---good luck at getting seating. Exceptional taste, aesthetic and presentation of their Cappuccino, Iced Latte and formidable cortado. CCEB is my only five star review this week. Appreciative of the many moments at Coffee Code and its award winning latte is superb. Thanks for "my space" reserved indefinitely.
Used to be my favorite coffee place in Fullerton- The taste has changed a bit though- I liked it before a bit more creamy. Still a great coffee shop. Lot of people come and enjoy the good coffee here. Staff is nice. Definitely, one of the best coffee shops in Fullerton-
Coffee was good, but not my favourite. Great vibe in the cafe though. Would recommend visiting and sitting in.
Coffee Code is completely unassuming from the entrance. Located in a shopping center by Del Taco and across the way from Starbucks, I skipped past the location before realizing I missed my turn, and headed back. Parking is ample. When I approached the cafe, I passed patrons with dogs who had a big water tray to drink from. By the time I left, hours later, the tray was still there, so it's clearly something Coffee Code will provide for dogs, which is nice. Inside is totally different from the exterior - here you are met with minimalist white, clean lines, nothing on the walls, wood tile for the flooring. They have state of the art Italian equipment and from the looks of the beans they are selling, they roast a variety of their own beans. This would be a great option for those who brew their own espresso or coffee regularly at home - local, fresh beans! One quip I have is that when I walked in, I couldn't find a menu anywhere. I paced back and forth to find one until I realized there's just the one menu in front of the person who is currently ordering. While I saved a spot with my bag, multiple others walked in and went ahead of me in line, so at this point the line was 5 people long, with none of us able to see the menu in the meanwhile. When I got to the front I needed a second to view the menu - I think that having a larger menu displayed would certainly help streamline the ordering process. I asked which of the drinks are most popular, and the staff shared the Spanish latte and the Strawberry latte are most popular. I came by three hours til close, so by then most of the baked goods were gone, but it looked like a great selection. Note that when you pay, you will be asked to tip and tipping starts at 18%. I always customize the tip to reflect 15% - this isn't a restaurant where I would do 20% - I'm not sure if I got a funny look, but it kind of felt that way. I could be projecting! I ordered, sat down, and got to work. Now, if you're looking for a coffee shop to work from, I'm not sure if I recommend this spot. The music was extremely loud. I have a great pair of noise-cancelling headphones and I could still hear some music through them. That's how loud the cafe is. The tables are also very small and very close together. There are five tables outside with ample seating, and inside there are only four, with usually two spots per table - they have a spare chair or two I saw them remove so I'm assuming they will provide those if you need three to a table, for example. The staff remembers you and your order consistently. I noticed they simply alert a patron their beverage is ready. If they call it out, they simply don't know who it belongs to. They had three staff on hand all equally trained in all aspects of the business, so frequently some were cleaning especially closer to closing. Some staff are friendlier than others ;) I had a colder experience vs other patrons who came in later who had a different staff help them. I ordered the ICED STRAWBERRY LATTE ($6.65? Around $6) - 6.5/10 The latte is extremely floral, slightly sweet, with coffee ice cubes. It's pleasant but one note, for sure. I realize they likely don't make this hot as the flavors probably bode better when iced. I appreciate the coffee ice cubes - I finished half and later had a second drink, in a way! For vegan friends, it looks like they have alternative milks available such as oat, almond and soy, but that will run you an extra $1.25, same as if you ordered an extra shot of espresso! I don't understand when places do this as vegan milk, even high quality ones, is cheaper than whole milk. They have an impressive selection of teas, which are loose leaf. I would be curious in trying their cold brew in the future, or a pour over, as I'd like to try their bean quality since it's their beans. I just cannot recommend this spot for a work or study session due to how cramped and loud it is, but more as a spot to drop in and pick up a drink to go. Clearly they put a lot of care into their coffee, and that is why most of you are reading the reviews :)

Disappointing! Not a big fan of the ambiance or the espresso .. Will probably never go back. Not a place where you can sit down and truly enjoy your cup of coffee...
Maaaaaan, I really wanted to like this place.... I mean, I REEALLY wanted to like it. But I honestly don't think my low-ish score really rests on something in their power. So I'll try to explain... I'm gonna say straight out; I am in absolutely NO WAY a coffee connoisseur or anything. Even though I drink coffee like every damn day, I really cannot tell the difference between a latte and machiato. Thus, I don't know if it's my un-attuned taste buds or something, but the Iced Latte they have there is kinda ummmm...... I mean, it's really good, but damn. To me it tastes almost EXACTLY as a $1.25 iced coffee from 7-Eleven! **INCOMING HIPSTER COFFEE S***STORM ALERT!!!** -Yeah sorry. It's good, but for $5 I think my money is better earned elsewhere. The staff girl on the other hand was the absolute most adorable thing I've ever come across. She was so sweet and said 'Thaaank yooouuuuu' in a way that literally melted my heart and face off! - Seriously guys, I literally look like a fat version of Slender Man now. Bleehhhhh
After coming here twice (@10am) and having drank 5 kinds of coffee here, I think I can finally give it a honest review. The coffee is decent. If you are going to order a drink with sugar in it, I highly recommend that you ask for light sugar. The drinks I had ordered were extremely sweet for my taste. It's a very chill coffee shop with 7 small outdoor tables, 4 small tables inside and 2 person bar counter seats. Staff are very friendly. Wi-Fi (open, not secured) speed is decent, good enough for surfing the net, and light streaming. What is a disappointment is the lack of outlets for plugin your electronics in. Probably because they don't want people here sitting too long.
Latte was to strong!!! Even if I would have tried to put sugar it would have tasted really bad but I drank half of it. $6 was not worth it. We get free coffee at work. It’s just as bad! lol 😂
good coffee but they don’t accept (clean, washed) personal mugs for to-go coffee, which i think is a little dumb considering the plastic crisis we are all facing ://///////
I used to always come here, but this Tuesday, when I was here, the baristas was very unwelcoming. No smile and looks like she’s annoyed with me even though all I did was order my drink. I decided not to give any tips due to the poor service and when I saw the note on the paying machine, “we know,” all I thought was: do you know you have poor customer service skills? The coffee is great but I hope the service can match the quality of the drinks there.
staff was friendly, but the strawberry matcha I ordered is just….white ? 🙁 never seen this color before — couldn’t taste any matcha and felt like I paid $7 for a cup of milk. there were also uncut huge blocks of ice, so there werent that much liquid to start
I have been to this store many times, and I really like the coffee here, as well as the staff. Especially one girl with a round face—she is very sweet. However, today, the girl in black in the picture showed an impatient attitude from the moment I entered the store. When I asked her questions, she only gave one-word answers whenever possible. I thought she was just in a bad mood, so I didn’t pay much attention. But then, a white couple came in, and suddenly, she learned how to smile sweetly. Yes, she smiled. She even chatted with them. Is this discrimination against me? I think this is my first time seeing her, so I don’t know what I did to upset her. Later, I asked her about this, and she said she was very tired—then rolled her eyes at me. What a terrible experience! If she is tired, she should take a rest instead of bringing her bad mood to others. Also, I know that you are a chain store. I couldn’t contact the manager at that store, so I can only post this at different locations. The store where I experienced unfair treatment is located in Buena Park.

unrespectful teenager asked me as I bought my coffee what I was doing on my cell phone 5 times. Rude disrespectful did not thank me I put a tip in their jar!! This girl has no respect rude did not smile . What a shame .
Got a croissant pretty stale like 3 days old. I wouldn't mind it but since the service sucked it just made the experience not so good.
I was so disappointed because my drink wasn’t filled the entire cup. It’s been like this for a couple months already. I have spent so much money here, going to find a new place soon.
Coffee Code is one of my favorite cafes in the Fullerton area. But today, a rude male employee completely destroyed my desire to go back. I ordered two coffees and waited for 20 minutes. Everyone makes mistakes in their work, and mistakes are inevitable. The problem was the way they treated customers afterward, which left me extremely disappointed and angry. They completely forgot our order and everyone else's coffee was served first. Feeling strange, I asked about my order, but the rude male employee didn't even apologize, as if nothing had happened. I want to address this rudeness. As a longtime Coffee Code customer, I'd like to say something to the young Hispanic male employee, whose name I don't remember, had a plain, permed haircut. If I were to say anything, I'd say, "Try to be more polite and humble toward everyone." And if you make a mistake, don't hesitate to apologize and be polite to the customer. That's a fundamental life skill, and it's a good attitude to have." Anyway, thanks to your rude and inconsiderate attitude, there's no need to go to Coffee Code for the time being, so if the person involved or the owner reads this, I hope they take it to heart.
I have been coming here for a couple months already but their quality has been dropping. Don't get me wrong, the drinks are still delicious but when I order my drinks, they only fill the cup up 75% of the way. To combat this, I asked for light ice but they still didn't fill up the entire cup. I feel ripped off. Today was my breaking point because the cup was filled 65% of the way and when I asked for more drink, I physically saw the barista just put more ice in my cup instead of more drink. It was extremely disappointing and I am frustrated because I love this place. It is unfair that I am paying nearly $6 for a cup that isn't even full. You lost a customer.
