Love the place. Fish is always fresh. I love their no rice rolls
I've had some good and bad sushi in my life trying different places. This place, albeit in a strip mall plaza, is one of the best I've had for sashimi. The sashimi literally melted in our mouths; wasn't dry or mushy, and had a very fresh and clean taste. The spicy garlic edamame is superb and the mussels my wife had were one of the best she's had in SoCal per her claims. We'll be back (even though we live 20 miles away).
Awesome place. Staff is so friendly and the food portions for the sushi is really just the best I've had. I come here often in between classes.
Don't pay attention to the old reviews. There is a new owner and this place is awesome again. We go a couple times a month and it's always delicious. The staff is friendly and prompt and the owner honestly cares about the customers and the food quality.
Genuinely enjoy my experiences here. Waitresses are always very fun and the rolls are exeptional everytime. I recommend the New York rolls and if you're looking for an off the menu item, ask them to describe the Max Roll.
Always a good time. Fish is amazing quality! Love it here. The chef's ALWAYS have great recommendations. Staff is very friendly.
Came from out of town to visit a friend and this is some of the best damn sushi I've had in a while. Good small selection and all are delicious choices!
Really good gotta come back!
Incredibly friendly and accommodating team. The food was delicious and legit.
Aside from being one of the few sushi places that was open on New Year's Day, the service and quality of sushi provided at Ginza were exactly what I had hoped for. We were sat quickly at the sushi bar and we were well taken care of. The food was delicious and the portions were fair for the price.
This is an incredible place. Fish is top grade and we ordered about 6 difference dishes and each were great. Very creative in their dishes and the aromas of each dish was surprising. Couples try the Butterfly...it's pretty and great!
We have come to Ginza a handful of times and have hand a great time every visit. The fish was very fresh in all the roles and sashimi we had. They have good Udon and appatizers as wells. Service is always perfect, just the right amount of visits to the table without feeling like they are hovering. We will come again many times.
Best sushi ever, they have a unique style and the quality is top of the top
Wow this tiny whole in the wall was fabulous. Sushi rolls were fresh and they don't skimp. Service was good but could not get drink refills. There was a busy lunch time crowd, and tables were dirty but they clean fast for the second wave for customers.
My husband and I have been coming here for 10 yrs! Same owner, delicious sushi, and the staff are very attentive! Honestly the only sushi place we go too! =)
The California Roll is my go to order and every time I get it, it’s amazing. Definitely worth a try for good prices and good food! Plus the people are so kind and the sushi is made fresh in front of you!
Our new favorite spot for Sushi! We moved down the street just recently and this place never disappoints! Great happy hour specials and servers are very attentive, which is always a hit and miss with most Sushi places.
The quality of sushi here is legit. Menu selection is just the right amount. I have never felt overwhelmed with too many choices here. This is also the first place that I have been to that has nailed the balance of flavors in the sauces used in some rolls. Try the butterfly for a perfect bite size selection of freshness.
This restaurant is the closest sushi restaurant to my apartment. I feel very lucky, because it is also the best sushi in this part of Orange County. I have ordered at least twenty different rolls from a large and varied menu and have never been disappointed. The fish is always super fresh and the service is wonderful. If you read any negative reviews, check the date, because the owner changed a couple of years ago and the current ownership is tops in my book!
Great sushi place if you're ever in North County. Fish always seems super fresh and the menu is quite vast. I prefer sushi and sashimi as opposed to rolls, but they have some pretty damn good rolls. Try the soft shell crab roll. Sushi chefs are friendly and easy to get along with, as are the waitresses. Great selection of Japanese beers and saki. Can get pretty busy on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings
We ordered the basked salmon roll and a chicken bento box. It was absolutely delicious. We’ve passed it for years and finally made our way over and couldn’t be more impressed. This will be our go-to place for sushi now.
The colors on the plates jump out…you taste the freshness from the start:). The “Three Amigos” cut roll is a blend of taste that is off the charts, with a nice subtle spicy element to balance it all. Prices are on point, allowing for you to get good value without sacrificing quality. A smaller operation that packs a huge punch of quality is how I would sum up the experience with Ginza Sushi. All the staff is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this becoming your local Sushi place in the area.
Friendly, attentive service and great food. I had a lovely time celebrating my birthday here. Thank you for the birthday surprise. ☺️
We came for lunch. They open at noon. Staff was friendly. We ordered a California roll, a black dragon roll, a new York roll, a 911 roll and a surf and turf roll. All the rolls were good and decent sized. The surf and turf has this sour sauce that compliments the meat well. The main differences between the new York roll and the surf and turf roll was that the new York roll had a crisper bite of meat on the roll. The surf and turf meat was more tender and the sauce on the surf and turf was more sour/citrus. The garlic edamame was amazing!
We’ve been going here for years. Great food, great location. The oysters my husband ordered looked amazing! I don’t eat oysters but he sure loved them.
My local spot for sushi, I come here at least once a month. I always order the "sour patch kid" roll it is just loaded with fish, I enjoy how the lemon and jalapeno on top work together. You get that zing and the the jalapeno brings it back down and mellows it out with a little heat. Also their garlic edamame is fantastic.
Excellent sushi as I travel lots and stumbled on this place for lunch. Would highly recommend it. The bluefin and yellow tail collar oh so good.
I'm no Sushi expert, but this place is great! Get the NY roll if you want something not many Sushi places have. Sign me up!!
Great neighborhood sushi/Japanese restaurant. Great Happy Hour 4:30-6.

Great neighborhood sushi/Japanese restaurant. Great Happy Hour 4:30-6.
I have been going here for about 5 years. They have the freshest sushi two of my favorites are the salmon and the Japanese sea scallops
I visited Ginza Sushi Japanese Restaurant on a Friday afternoon and ordered the sushi and sashimi combo—and I was beyond impressed. The quality of the fish was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and expertly cut. Each slice was just the right thickness, striking the perfect balance between texture and taste. I’ve never had sushi of this quality before, and it was exactly what I was looking for. If you’re looking for top-tier sashimi and sushi that truly stands out, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be coming back!
For a little sushi place in a strip mall in Orange County, I have to say, "well done." Super Japanese dishes with local, innovative variations. Seating is comfortable and cool as you are enclosed by shady greenery on one side. Comfortable placd to eat alone or to hang with friends over lunch.
This place is amazing. The sushi is so good. I’ve been here twice and both times I’ve left happy and full. Will be returning here.
stumbled upon this place after Early Bird told us we couldn't come in with our drinks. My party and I decided to eat here instead. The Beef is amazing. my friend ordered their baked salmon roll and loved it. we also recommend the Gioza.
This place is wonderful. My favorite rolls around. This chef owned a place in Costa Mesa and when I lived there I would frequently eat there, at least once a week. Now I moved to Fullerton and holy smokes, he sold the Costa Mesa location and I'd now right down the street from me again. I feel very lucky! My family and I eat in or do take out from Ginza all the time, we love this place.
THIS PLACE IS GREAT...I would go as far as saying the BEST in Fullerton! The staff is friendly, the sushi is AMAZING and the prices are a steal. I love the regular/family type atmosphere. They are attentive and quick. I LOVE THIS PLACE. If you haven't tried it, go for it..you will not be disappointed.

First time visiting Ginza. Very simple decor. The service was very good but seemed a little impatient. Sushi was very good and the beer was ice cold. Summary, it wasn't the best sushi experience, but when I got the bill... I was pleasantly surprised. I will be going back for a good, casual sushi dinner. Oh, one last thing.... The grilled garlic edamame was to die for. I highly recommend it!!!
Good crunch roll, good shrimp tempura. Was happy to find a decent sushi place nearby. Decent prices. Nice service. They did forget our miso soup but quickly rectified that when I reminded them of that. Will be a go to from now on when I'm craving sushi.
Went to late lunch/early dinner (Happy Hour Time) with my wife. Location is little dangerous cause it is located on the corner of a big plaza where cars come in. Be very careful when crossing from parking area!!! Food Quality was very fresh and they did not serve a lot of rice when ordering sushi or rolls. I am giving this place 4 stars cause this is not AYCE place. Out of all the items we ordered...we agreed that the best one was original crunchy roll (Happy Hour price $8.95). LOL! Service: Was good and our waitress was attentive. We will come back...for more Crunchy Rolls. LOL!!!
I love this place, special rolls are unlike other sushi joints I've visited. Sometimes they're a little slow getting your food to you but they are constantly updating you on when it will get to you, they check in on you. I recommend getting an appetizer if you're hungry hungry and need food asap but it's worth the wait trust.
I visited Ginza Sushi during their happy hour and tried the Mafia Roll and the Crunchy Roll. Both rolls were delicious and well-balanced in flavor. The Mafia Roll, in particular, had a rich, savory taste with a satisfying texture. However, the Crunchy Roll, while tasty, tended to fall apart easily as I ate it, which made it a bit messy. Overall, a great experience with good sushi quality—just wish the Crunchy Roll held together better.
This little local spot has become our favorite regular sushi spot. Very nice staff. Rolls always fresh. We always order the Candy Roll. Its riceless, fresh, little crunch, delicious!

Bright, clean modern place in a strip mall with lots of parking available. Great, friendly and helpful service. Nice Happy Hour every day. The salmon skin handrolls were very good. The salmon nigiri was very good. The hamachi was not great, but not bad. The collar was a bit dried out, but unlike most places it was baked rather than broiled or fried. It had good flavor. The shrimp tempura looked okay. The egg rolls were crisp.
Good sushi. My favorite was the dream roll. There was nothing over the top amazing about this place to deserve 5 stars. The service was pleasant and we did not have to wait too long for our rolls. There was a horrible fish odor upon entering the restaurant. It was so off putting that the waitress had to light an incense. This in turn filled the restaurant with scented smoke and fish odor. Mmmm! Yummy! She had to open the door to defuse the smell and smoke.

Food was great, service was so slow and it was the end of the night so it wasnt that busy either. By the time the server brought out more ginger that we had asked for, we were already done with our meal and my drink never got refilled either.
Nice clean restaurant. Service was nice. Sushi is not good quality. It's very bland and you can tell that it's not good quality just by the unnatural color of the tuna and the lack of flavor. You didn't know what you were eating by taste.
Good Sushi, the "Dream Roll" lives up to its name. Staff is friendly. Couple cons about the place which caused the 3 star review: 1.I'm not a fan of the seating arrangements. 2. Received a dirty plate with a bunch of rice stuck to the bottom of it at the beginning. 3. I watched as a sushi chef right at the counter used his teeth to remove the protective sealant cap from a new large bottle of soy sauce. (which I laughed about). However the sushi was very good and I will be giving the place another try.
Today we were kind of grossed out. First, the positives. The service was wonderful. The taste was terrible though. The edamame had no taste at all. The tempura had non-cooked flour on it, and the sushi rice didn't taste that fresh. A bit surprised based on the reviews!
If you like inconsistent food and consistently bad service then go here. I have given them my last chance, I won't go back for more rubbery nori and sometimes spicy "spicy yellowtail roll" and flat out rude, poor service. It's a bummer too because this place is within walking distance to my house and we love sushi.
