I decided to have my birthday dinner here this year as I had a wonderful first experience a couple months back. Once again, Anthonie’s did not disappoint! The atmosphere is top notch. The service is outstanding, and the food is phenomenal. The goat cheese and calamari appetizers are two of my favorites. The short rib is so tender and flavorful, and we got lucky with an off the menu lamp lollipop dish where the lamb was cooked to perfection. Even on a hot summer night sitting outside is still pleasant with all of the fans they provide, and the live music makes for a wonderful ambiance. Katie was a very attentive server and on top of everything! She made my birthday feel very special. We will definitely be returning on a regular basis!

Awesome place! The food was great and the servers were so friendly and patient. The terrace outside was beautiful and had such a cozy vibe. The live music was the cherry on top! I highly recommend!!

Definitely one of the best places to eat in fort bend county. Everything about this restaurant is top notch. The teriyaki steak is one of my favorites on the menu. The restaurant is normally packed so it's a good idea to make reservations. If you want a really neat experience, reserve a table in front of the kitchen.

OMG YALL. If you want one of the most scrumdilididumptious meals in your life time RUN HERE AS FAST AS YOU CAN. The service: Our server Eden was so attentive, fast, friendly, and helpful!! She gave us a free chocolate cake slice because it was our first time and it was delicious! (I will go into more detail later.) We were never left waiting for anything or unsatisfied. Truly such an amazing experience! Atmosphere: At first I was suspicious because this restaurant is far into Fulshear and kind of in the middle of no where, but when I saw it’s beautiful flowers and barn style architecture I knew this was going to be good. The decoration is beautiful and they are doing there best with being right right next to the road. Price: The prices here are definitely on par with the quality of food and services so I recommend this place for people willing to spend. The average per person will come out to about 30-50 dollars (if you aren’t buying any steaks.) The portion sizes are pretty big so you could share to save so money. If anything, just come here once because it is so worth it. THE FOOD: We started with the goat cheese with bacon and cranberries and it was perfect to set the tone of the meal! It was so creamy and the mix of savory and sweet flavors was jaw dropping, I couldn’t get enough. The sourdough bread slices it came with were grilled and they did not skimp out on the amount they gave you like many places do. The rotisserie chicken salad was one of the best I’ve had. The chicken was so flavorful and juicy I was genuinely shocked when I ate it. The salad itself was fresh and crisp and everything went together wonderfully, we could not get enough! To finish everything off we got the blackened Gulf Cobia. This came with three grilled shrimps that were amazing with the a wonderful smokey flavor. The fish itself was moist and a bit spicy but it was topped with avocado and served with a coconut jasmine rice so it was not at all over whelming. This being the most expensive dish we got ($33) was but the others were still super good and both only $20. The chocolate cake was a rare find! Usually cakes like these tend to fall into the trap of being too rich and too heavy but this cake had the perfect amount of chocolate flavor and was light and airy. Not to mention how it came with a delicious and creamy whipped cream and huge slices of strawberries that complimented it so well. It was such a simple food done so well!! TLDR: The food, decorations, and service were all out of this world, this is a such a special place with so much care put into it and you should come if you ever get the chance. The only thing is take into consideration the price point, this is not an everyday restaurant.

Love this place.!! And everything about it. Casey was our server & he was very polite and took time to attend to all our needs (kids were a bit demanding).. Food was super amazing, tasty, and wait time wasn’t bad at all. Just heads up, some of the food might be a lil pricey but the portions are great so I do not think it’s bad. Over all, it’s my favorite place so far ❤️❤️

Everything here is awesome. My favorites are the Wanton Salad, it is sweet and sour and 2 can eat easily; the tomato basil soup is perfect for a cold weather; the Chicken fried Chicken is super good and the Fettuccini Alfredo is delicious. The atmosphere is very nice, it get's very busy on weekend nights and they do not take reservations so be ready to wait outside while you enjoy live music.

This is easily the best restaurant in the greater Houston area. We have been here several times and the food always blows us away. This last time we went was on a Tuesday evening and sat outside on the deck. The atmosphere is really cool with the fireplaces, heaters, strung lights, and the empty fields around the restaurant. There was a gentleman (sorry forgot his name) playing the guitar and singing classic country, which was really nice! Our waiter was a young guy that was very attentive and knew the menu inside and out. We got the crab appetizer which was awesome and we cleaned the bowl out. I got the the lobster mac n cheese which was just about the best thing I ever ate in my life. Two huge lobster tails cooked with a very rich and creamy mac n cheese. My wife got the cobia, which she enjoyed a lot!

Found this gem while taking back roads out of town. WOW!!! This was a great surprise. We ordered a ceasar salad and the Cobia entree to share. Definitely plenty for both of us. We weren't able to finish the salad. It was huge, and hands down THE best ceasar salad I've ever had. Our entree was divine. We ordered the Vanilla bean banana pudding to go. Can't wait to come back. Definitely worth the drive! Also, everyone staff member was super nice. Every. Single. One. Our wait person was Luis. Professional, knowledgeable, helpful and genuinely seemed to want to be here! Often times rare these days!

Wonderful outdoor area, fabulous food, good service! Very large venue with fire pits and fans... depending on the weather. Live music on weekends...typically a solo or duo artist. Large parking lot. Casual attire. Family friendly. Great country atmosphere with delicious food.

#JoeFoodTour if you're looking for a great restaurant in the far west reaches of Houston past Fulshear, this restaurant is excellent. The back patio is well lit with a roaring fire and lots of place for seating. The food is excellent and super yummy. I wanna share the amazing experience my wife and I had at this special place this afternoon. We loved the service (very nice and fast), our waiter was nothing less than excellent and professional. We also had the chance to meet the manager of the place, great person, very professional too; who gave us a note of the history of the town. The environment is detailed and we liked it very much. We have no words to describe the food, we will try to use one to get closer: excellent!!! There you have good live music and many cocktails and drinks to enjoy. In general, we spent a great time there. For sure, we are going to be back. Nice day to you all.

Went out on a Friday night and sat on the patio. It was only a little chilly but they have fire places and space heaters to keep you warm. Gina was our server and she was awesome and very attentive. We had the goat cheese dip and ordered a couple cocktails. The dip was heavvvvy but that’s not a bad thing at all it was super creamy and the toppings highlighted the goat cheese. I wasn’t a fan of the mule I ordered but I’m picky when it comes to cocktails. As for entrees my husband got the lobster truffle Mac and it was to dieeeee for. I got the rib roast and it was the super tender and fell apart. Don’t even get me started on the mashed potatoes. So freaking good. The portion sizes were perfect I was so full I couldn’t even order dessert even though I wanted to. Even though it gets very busy here - the service was on point. Will be coming back.

A great destination for a meal with family and friends. Great service, great food, and worth the country drive. Must try lobster truffle Mac and cheese, grilled salmon, and the bread pudding is a great ending to an amazing meal. Bring your designated driver cause you won’t mind passing time with a healthy selection of wines and liquors to relax your night away!

Visited this place for the first time. The New York Strip steak was melt in your mouth tender. For dessert, the coconut pie was the best I've ever had.

Believe the hype. We made reservations online. Easy as 1-2-3. Got there and they had an inside option which didn't show online. It was a little chilly so the ladies were excited. The service was fast, friendly, and professional. The food tastes as good as it looks and smells. Everything is done with excellence here.

Omg omg omg! Absolutely delicious!!! All the food was perfect! The cake incredible!!! Just consider as for a table inside if it’s cold, so you can enjoy your food hot whereas you eat cause the plate is normal, no hot! ;)

J

Excellent food and drinks. Unfortunately there was no live music due to the weather so I didn’t enjoy the atmosphere outside quite as much. I don’t like the tables and chairs outside because they are hard wood and metal patio furniture. The service was pretty good so no issues there.

V

From start to finish our server Josh was amazing. Food was well prepared. I had the Braised short ribs which was fork tender and seasoned to perfection. The spiced rum pudding with vanilla ice cream and banana foster was the best dessert. If you are looking for a nice place to celebrate a special occasion or just want a great meal head to Anthonies you will not be disappointed.

Phenomenal food experience! The Lamb shank with asiago cheese grits and asparagus was sublime, and the Blackened Cobia fish with grilled shrimp, lemon butter, coconut jasmine rice, and mango avocado pico de gallo was a delightful blend of flavors. Although I missed the flatbread BBQ pizza, Mariana's impeccable service made the celebration of a girlfriend's birthday truly special. The ambiance, though loud, had a cozy charm. Lastly, Anthony's famous teriyaki steak was a Chef's recommendation and lived up to the hype with its tender bistro shoulder fillet, teriyaki sauce, mushrooms, bell peppers, cilantro, fried shrimp, and jasmine rice. A memorable dining experience overall! 🍽️👌🥂 1. The spiced rum bread pudding paired with Bluebell ice cream was a heavenly dessert. The decadent bananas foster added a delightful twist, making it an absolute treat for the taste buds. A must-try for dessert enthusiasts! 2. Dekker's famous chocolate cake was a chocolate lover's dream come true. The addition of rum, vanilla bean and chocolate sauces, macerated strawberries, and velvety vanilla whipped cream elevated it to dessert perfection. A true indulgence! 3. Crème Catalon Brûlée was a delicate delight. The creamy custard with its perfectly caramelized sugar topping created a delightful contrast in textures. A classic dessert executed flawlessly, leaving a lasting impression.

My wife and I went to Anthonie's for the first time for our anniversary, and I have to say that it was an absolutely spectacular and truly amazing experience from the moment we arrived all the way throughout to the very last bite of the indulgent fresh key lime pie and sip of my Old Fashioned! We both had a wonderful experience, and in my humble opinion, the entree that I had the great opportunity to enjoy..., "The Chop" (i.e., Anthonie's pork chop) is quite literally the most mouth watering pork chop that I have tried to date. 110% satisfied and we're already planning our next visit! Truly a fantastic spot!

Great restaurant with friendly and attentive staff. The menu is full of tasty food and they often have "off the menu" specials. Great place to celebrate a b-day or anniversary. Make reservations and be prepared for great food, great time, and fond memories of a night well spent.

Outdoor dining is beautiful and live music just added so much to the ambiance! Food was delicious and our server was so attentive and explained everything very kindly! Appetizers: - Fried house pickles & jalapeño spice: The jalapeño is pretty spicy if you can't tolerate it well. - Creamy baked spinach dip was Delicious!! - Crispy Fried Calamari was good Sweet potato fries was probably one of the best ones I tried. For Dessert: I highly recommend the spiced rum bread pudding. We ordered the "dekker crumble" but it honestly wasn't that great (there was barely any crumbles).

Spent a lovely evening on the patio listening to live music and eating great food. Reservations highly recommended!!We were sat immediately and the fans on the patio cooled us nicely. Enjoyed the refreshing white sangria. We started with the goat cheese app which is always wonderful. Tried the baked Gulf oysters on special and they were nice. I had the margarita flatbread and it was very flavorful. Closed off the dinner with the peach cobbler. It was so delicious. Our waitress was wonderful and never made us feel rushed.

One of the best American / Texas style restaurant. The tomato basil soup with cheese croutons is to die for. We order the quail, a bit expressive but so yum! The sangria is great, so was the short ribs. Everything was delicious. Will visit again just for the food!!

OMG, go to Anthonies! Soooo good. We shared calamari- delicious! The ceviche is the kind I like, chopped up! The wine we were served was so perfect for our meal! The staff, including Liz, did an excellent job! I want to go back!

The hog wings were delicious. The collard greens were divine. And the chocolate birthday cake was warm, moist and decadent! The service was also great! All of our main dishes were good too. And they have Halo brewery on the menu!

Everyone talks about this place for a reason. The atmosphere is perfect for date night or a casual dinner, and the food really is just amazing. We started with the calamari and the garlic buffalo sauce is crack. The best braised short rib you’ll ever have, and the Anthonie famous teriyaki steak is famous for a reason. Make sure you save room for desert because it’s all made from scratch in house. They have the best bread pudding with bananas foster and if you love chocolate the cake is not overly sweet and almost like a brownie. Taylor and Chase were just as amazing and they really made our anniversary dinner special. Also they have love music outside!

M
Melissa Taliaferro

Anthonie's is pricey, but definitely worth every single penny. Food is out of this world good and the service is stellar!! I would have to say, please give Anthonie's a try, you won't regret it. Everything from Shrimp and grits with bacon marmalade, salmon, steaks, roast... you name it, it is ALL good. I've tried almost everything and the bread pudding omg! The bread pudding was to die for!!

Finally we were able to visit this restaurant. 2 years ago we tried them at the Texans game suites. Visiting them was a game changer. What we tasted at the Texans game is not even a piece of the magic they can make at the restaurant. Our experience was optimal, the service was impeccable and the food phenomenal. Our waiter provided us with excellent service, he did everything in his power to accommodate us & satisfied our tastes (since my husband & I don't have the same taste). We had appetizers, main courses, drinks and desserts, everything was absolutely amazing. Count on us to return for more.

D
David

One of the best dining experiences our family has had! The one-hour drive to the restaurant proved worthwhile throughout the entire meal. Our server offered great suggestions and insight on menu items. The open kitchen concept provided a view into the mastery at work and the decor fitting for the environment. Starting off with the pork belly appetizer afforded each of us 2 pieces of succulent bites. The gumbo had flavorful roux and ingredients while the tomato soup had delicious bites of mozzarella cheese that melt in your mouth. Once the entrees arrived the meal went up a notch. BEST prime rib we've eaten with a perfect crust (served Fri and Sat). Pork Ribeye was also the most tender and tasty pork chop with a gouda cheese topping. Others had lobster macaroni and rotisserie chicken salad with a side of lobster (restaurant was out of rotisserie chicken which if like the other meats would have been first rate as well). We finished off the meal with the bread pudding with banana foster topping, oh my goodness!!! A must if you have room or don't because you won't believe how good it is. A great evening, dining experience, and we will definitely return for a meal one day.

We tried the goat cheese appetizer, the flavors were amazing. Loved the twist on the Cesar salad. Then tried the Teriyaki steak which was great. But the dessert….. Probably the best dessert I ever had. The bread pudding w/ banana fosters and ice cream…OMG. Matthew was our waiter and the service was amazing. They even gave us complimentary champagne and chocolate cake for our anniversary. It was our first time there but will not be our last time.

Loved it! Visited to celebrate my wife’s bday and we were very happy with the food and service. Would definitely come back just for the parm fries, and the amazing spiced rum bread pudding. My fish was a bit overdone for my liking which was the special but maybe it was a one off. Would definitely come back.

This is one of our most favorite restaurants. Their food is always delicious. Our biggest problem is trying other things on the menu because wr always want to refer back to things we have had before because it was so good !! We have eaten on their patios several times because with the fans, the area is always very comfortable. It is an enjoyable atmosphere.

Food, service and atmosphere are all 5 stars. Staff was friendly and always had a smile on their face. Food was amazing. I can’t believe they put spinach in tomato and it tastes so good. Seriously, how do you guys do that 🤷🏻‍♀️ There was live music when we went which was a Sunday night. It added a nice touch to the whole vibe.

We recently took my patents to Anthonie’s for Mother’s Day. For us, this is absolutely a “special occasion” restaurant. The vast majority of seating is outside, and there are plenty of precautions in place like awnings and fans to make sure you’re comfortable regardless of weather. We arrived a few minutes early for our reservation and our table was ready. The food was excellent! The filet was cooked perfectly. The pork chop is simply amazing. It’s so moist and flavorful. The seafood was spot-on. The lobster truffle mac and cheese is incredible: 2 lobster tails and pasta baked in a cast iron skillet. The desserts did not disappoint either with a selection of pies and signature options like the bread pudding and chocolate cake. The only real criticism I can offer is on the waitstaff. Our waiter was very polite and got all of our orders correct, but seemed to disappear for 25 minutes at a time. I understand the relaxed atmosphere which encourages lots of time to socialize over a 2+ hour meal, but I wish the waiters checked in more often. More than once we found ourselves waiting for our waiter to ask for a refill or new drink. Despite that, I highly recommend Anthonie’s. You won’t regret it. You’ll leave full and happy (probably with leftovers). It has definitely earned a spot on our “special dinner” list.

J
Jim Mayes

What's not to like at Anthonie's? The food -fantastic. The service- impeccable. The atmosphere- really nice. How about the expense- there you go. It is expense, very expensive. Sadly though, it worth it, and I'm going back as soon as I can because it's really worth it.

If you’re in the mood to have dinner on an awesome patio with live music every night in the middle of nowhere then do I know the place for you! Homestyle cooking that you wish your momma made you when you were growing up — a pork chop that’ll make you say, “Who’s Perry?”, a meatloaf prepared like you’ve never had before and shrimp & grits that could only be topped by Bubba. Service is prompt and attentive and the staff rocks here! Ask for Lelan as your server. He will surely delight you. Bossman is Joey, a friendly guy who runs a tight ship. It’s worth the drive. Just go. But don’t skip the chocolate cake, it’s so moist you can leave it on the counter for a week and it will still taste great.

Once again the food was fantastic. What was most memorable tonight was Steven S. our server. He was so friendly and had a great vibe. Menu knowledge was excellent and made very good suggestions. In addition, he is quite knowledgeable about fine dinning. Steven S was fantastic and the food was delicious. Highly recommend.

Been here many many times throughout the years, but never thought to leave a review until last night. Always a pleasure coming here! Food is always good and so is service. The menu has changed over time, but there’s still lots of good selections. Good beer menu selection. Lots of different mixed drinks to choose from too. I’ve had many different things on the menu too. Can’t go wrong with anything you get here! Shrimp Scampi last night was amazing! Tons of flavor and the shrimp tasted fresh! They have live music sometimes so it can be a bit loud, but it’s still a very nice atmosphere. When the weather is good it’s always nice to sit out in their covered patio. Till next time!!!

Great place for casual dining or for more formal occasions. Service was impeccable. Food was first class from the gumbo to dessert. If you are looking for a place that is more upscale, this is the place. The outdoor seating was covered with heaters or fan ready as needed. The indoor dining was classy as you would expect a first class restaurant to be. This was my first time to come and it will not be my last. The outdoor seating was perfect for families with small children and if I'm not mistaken, it is pet friendly as well but do call and ask. Outdoor fire pit gave a wonderful ambiance.

I came here with my boss for a Saturday morning lunch. (My first time - he's been here plenty) Food was great!!! The soup was fire and these little croutons. On point! Service was great too. Sophie never missed a beat. She was always checking on us. The vibe was great too. I'm definitely coming back but this time - I'm bringing the family.

Anthonie’s is a prominent dining establishment located in Simonton, TX. The journey from Galveston, TX, took slightly under two hours but proved highly rewarding. Transitioning from an urban environment to a quaint rural town evoked a sense of nostalgia for Texas's untamed past. The restaurant's setting is picturesque, surrounded by serene grazing farmland with distant cattle. Ample parking is available, and the walk from the parking area to the hostess desk is enjoyable. Live music enhances the ambiance, and the sight and aroma of the food being served are captivating. Patrons can dine indoors, outdoors under cover, or in an open patio area near a cozy fireplace that offers 360-degree clear views of the stunning surroundings. Our server, Alvin, provided exceptional service, offering impeccable recommendations for both food and beverages. He was attentive yet respectful of our privacy, allowing us to savor a romantic dinner together. I relished the “Chop,” a perfectly cooked pork chop, while my wife indulged in a decadent mac and lobster dish. For wine enthusiasts, Anthonie’s boasts a selection of over 200 wines from around the globe. I enjoyed a meticulously crafted smoked old-fashioned before dinner, a flavorful Malbec with my meal, and concluded the evening with a 20-year-old Taylor Fladgate tawny port. For those seeking a respite from the daily hustle, the bustling city of Houston, or the crowded tourism of Galveston, Anthonie’s provides the perfect retreat. Here, you can relax and enjoy an exquisite meal accompanied by an impressive array of alcoholic beverages.

GREAT food, smooth service - but restroom could use some TLC! 🌹 Came here for a mother’s day “linner” reservation and had a great experience! They handed out roses to every mother - so sweet. Despite how packed it was (but it was a special day, so expected!), service was fast, friendly, and organized. Server was attentive but not overbearing and everything ran super smoothly. 💣 We started with the Texas Wagyu sweet thai meatballs (incredible & totally worth the $$ - crispy crust, juicy center, total flavor bomb) 🥗 Split the Texas wedge salad with my partner (so so good, and HUGE) it was the perfect amount for each of us. The salad had: crumbled bacon, sliced boiled egg, red + green onion, tomato basil relish, crumbled bleu cheese, & bleu cheese dressing. 🦐 🦀 And we also shared the shrimp & cramp campechana. This ap was a tasty one but honestly not sure about $23. But then again, I could just be a frugal frannie! :,) but it felt a little steep for the portion size, that’s all. Still yummy! 🥩 For my entrée, I had the 16 oz ribeye with a creamed spinach stuffed tomato - steak wasn’t piping hot upon arrival but still was flavorful, cooked perfectly, and melted in my mouth. 🍌 For dessert, the table went with the banana pudding. While I was too stuffed to have a bite, the table really enjoyed it! And the portion was big enough for 6 people. Even with 6 people, there was still some left over which was taken home to enjoy later. 🎵 Ambience is rustic, music outside, semi-upscale, but really family-friendly. Pricing reflects that - entrees are around $29–$65. Not sure what the kids menu looks like. 🅿️ Parking is plentiful with a large lot, though be ready to walk a bit if you can’t find a spot near the entrance. Overall, worth the visit for the special occasion! ❌ A few downsides worth noting: While the dinner table itself was clean and well-maintained, the women’s restroom was not. 😕 I’m not sure if this was the only women’s RR there - but if it was, it felt too small for how huge the restaurant is :( ➡️ Only two stalls, and awkwardly designed. The baby changing station completely blocked one stall (like the station is located directly in front of a stall, outside of the stall - so if someone was using the stall closest to the changing station… they would not be able to exit) ➡️ The floors were wet and grimy. Full trash cans, fallen paper towels, and no real place to wait inside made the whole experience kinda weird. But then again I have no idea if that was the only restroom!

I was meeting my cousin here for the first time. As I was driving out there I thought where is this place? It is in the middle of nowhere. Once you arrive you see how nice it looks from the outside. I thought how cute is this place!!! Arriving you receive the most welcoming greeting. Our server was absolutely amazing. We even called his manager over to let him know what great service we had received. Now let's talk about the food! The food is absolutely phenomenal. I had the shrimp and grits, and I have been craving more of it. I definitely need to go back and get some more. I highly recommend this place you will not be disappointed.

The ambiance at this place is beautiful and elegant, and the food was absolutely delicious—flavorful, well-prepared, and clearly made with quality ingredients. While our server wasn’t very attentive throughout the evening, the concierge truly went above and beyond to make up for it. He overheard us talking about how wine in the U.S. just doesn’t taste the same as it does in our home country, and not only did he take the time to offer us a glass on the house, but he also prepared it his way—which ended up tasting incredible. That gesture really turned our night around. I was tempted to rate the service a bit lower, but thanks to the concierge’s kindness and attention, our experience ended on a very positive note.

The people who run this place really seem to care about every aspect of your time there. They don’t rush you. They’re friendly. The food and drinks are spectacular! How do you make fried mushrooms that good? And don’t get me started on the snapper! Great spot for our date night and will be coming back in the future!

I would love to share my experience at Anthonie’s Market Grill. The food was absolutely delicious. We ordered The Chops, and I got the steak teriyaki omg, words can’t describe how much we enjoyed our meals. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. There was even a band playing outside, which added such a great, relaxed atmosphere. For dessert, we had the bread pudding. I normally don’t even go for bread pudding, but this was hands down the best dessert I’ve ever had. Everything from start to finish was amazing. Highly recommend!

Absolutely delicious! I ordered a mocktail, the dry pear margarita, entrees were the short rib and lobster macaroni, and for dessert the red velvet cheesecake! Our waiter, the atmosphere, overall everything was great!

We dined at Anthonie’s to celebrate my sisters birthday. We were blown away. The food was remarkable. We left nothing behind. Luckily it was 6 foodies ready to venture out with multiple appetizers. Several different entrees that we all shared. The atmosphere was amazing and beautiful. Perfect patio weather a person performing. The gentleman even came and serenaded my sister with some George Strait. From food to drinks to our waiter this was one of the best experiences we have ever had. We cannot wait to go back. Thank you for making my sister’s birthday beautiful spectacular and for her to walk away and say it was the best birthday! Thank you

Amazing American dining with fresh produce, packed flavours and fantastic presentation! I had a teriyaki steak with popcorn shrimp. The sauce was devine and the meat melted in my mouth! My partner had a steak which he said was the best he had! We went out with family who does not eat meet and there was a lot of great options for them and thier little once. This place is defo foodies heaven! The atmosphere was also epic and really cosy. The service was super fast and staff was really attentive and really friendly. We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary and my wife’s birthday at Anthonie’s Steakhouse, and the entire experience was exceptional. Katie and Luis went above and beyond to make the evening memorable and extra special, providing attentive and professional service from start to finish. The food was outstanding—perfectly cooked steaks, excellent sides, and a dessert that capped the night beautifully. More importantly, the thoughtful touches and genuine hospitality made our special occasion truly unforgettable. Anthonie’s sets the standard for fine dining in the Houston area, and we can’t wait to visit again.

This is my absolute favorite restaurant! It's about a 30 min drive from Cypress and definitely worth it! The service is always on point with very kind and thoughtful staff. Anthonie himself is a very humble owner, and is often at the restaurant going around getting to know his guests. The food and flavors are so delicious and unique. Live music is always playing. I recommend everyone give them a try because I am hooked! I love everything about this place.

From start to finish, our evening at Anthonie was nothing short of outstanding. We had a reservation for a Tuesday night and were pleased to find ample parking upon arrival. We started with a round of drinks. The red wine menu selection was excellent. The appetizer Waygu meatball was a standout, lightly and served with delicious homemade dressing. For our main courses, we enjoyed the chops, meatloaf. Each dish was flavorful and well-presented. dessert was delicious Customer service throughout the evening was exceptional. Our food arrived promptly, and the sever was attentive without being intrusive. Overall, Anthonie’s exceeded our expectations. If we could give it 10 out of 5 stars, we would. With an average price of around 100 per person, it offers great value for a high-quality dining experience. Highly recommended.

We came back with the family to celebrate my dad's birthday. We had 7 people in our party. Our server was Barnie and he was awesome! Everyone loved their food! Some of us ordered from the #HRW2025 menu. A portion of the money goes to the Houston Food Bank. The #HRW2025 menu is $39 for 3 courses with multiple offerings. We had a reservation and thankfully did not have to sit outside. Their patio is enclosed though with multiple large fans.

Update - still amazing. 6 of 5 stars. Love this place. Fantastic experience every time. The food is outstanding, they also have very good cocktails. They have a lot of outdoor seating and these fans that keep it quite comfortable. And they have amazing desserts. Nice setting away from the rush everywhere else! Love this place!

We had a great afternoon escaping the city to check out this place that was tucked away in a quaint little town out in the countryside. Our server, Taylor, provided amazing service to our group. He gave great recommendations from the menu and really enjoyed sharing tidbits about the chef/ restaurant with us. He was very considerate of interrupting our group conversations which shows how attentive he is while still making sure we had everything we needed. We had the prosciutto and shrimp burrata salad, the chop, and the lobster truffle macaroni. We enjoyed all of it and left with happy bellies. We also had the dekker crumble for dessert which is made to order so it takes a bit of time to prepare. The flavor we had was peaches and it was so good! We were told that they do change the flavor up seasonally so that is great to know. We look forward to coming back to check out the other items on the menu. A solid neighborhood place worth checking out.

Absolutely Amazing! From the drive in to every single smile that welcomes you into the restaurant. My husband and I always enjoy the great service, food, and beautiful ambiance. On this occasion we celebrated our anniversary and Josh( our amazing waiter, you are truly the definition of southern hospitality) made our day a forever memory. Thank you 🙏🏼 We started our celebration with baked goat cheese( the perfect twist of sweet and tart with tasty Texas pecans for that perfect crunch over a toast. I had the chicken fettuccine and with the help of Josh and chef customized it and added shrimp, mushrooms, spinach, and roasted corn for a wonderful and perfect tasteful meal. My husband had Anthonie’s Famous Terayaki steak( sorry no pic) he ordered medium rare and said it was wonderful. Josh treated us to the champagne toast and dessert we always enjoy the pecan pie a la mode( with ice cream) Thank you, once again to the entire staff who works in a perfect team environment for such outstanding service! It was our first time here and we definitely enjoyed our time. My husband took me out for my birthday and we were very impressed with everything. This place was great! We went in a rainy night and they met us with umbrellas which was so sweet. We sat indoors which was dry, and cozy. I had the beef tips and they were melt in your mouth amazing. Our server was attentive and made sure our meal was perfect without being overbearing.

The location and atmosphere were stunning, would return again just for this factor. As for the food the pork chop was cooked perfectly, though I was not fond of the brown butter glaze that was paired with it. The mashed potatoes were extremely smooth and very tasty. The teriyaki steak was tender, cooked to a nice medium rare, and paired with a perfectly fluffy rice. Delicious! Both the martini and sangria were very nice. Would recommend both! Chocolate cake was nothing spectacular, still good but it wasn’t anything that knocked my socks off. I recommend trying one of their seasonal items. Our server was professional and always attentive. Made our dining experience great!

This was a beautiful place to get away from the city. Such a relaxing area with live music and great food. They do caters to food allergy and the waiter will asked if you have any dairy or gluten food allergy. As a wheelchair user, I opted for the outdoor seating since it was so beautiful the day I visit and live music was playing. When visiting inside of the restaurant, it was very tight space. There is NO ADA wheelchair bar seating area so you will have to get a table. The restroom stall could barely fit my Manuel wheelchair. Very tight squeeze to get out of the stall and to wheel to wash my hands. I honestly don’t know how heavy the doors were to open. I had at every turn somebody opening a door for me or asking if I needed anything. I felt like a queen visiting a beautiful garden luncheon. I would visit again and seat outside. This place had everything… except and really disappointed no wheelchair space to grab some drinks at the bar. However, my server was a blast to get me as many drinks that I wanted from the bar and would recommend stuff for me to try. This made up for the lack of space at the bar seating area.

I went with my Son, his wife my dil and her Mother...I was looking forward to coming to Anthonie's Market Grill. In a nutshell, the service was mediocre, and it caused my experience and meal to be less than it should have been. Had the dish been served warm and our server was more attentive, I'm quite certain I would be leaving a better review.

VERY small cramped interior seating. Count on sitting outside. We had reservations for 7 at 5pm and it was to be inside. Arrived and was told they never accept reservations for inside. Huge outdoor eating area though. RUDE young hostesses. Amazed a Texas restaurant would have the seating flipped. Could not imagine eating here in July and August with the Texas heat. There are huge fans on patio but they just blow hot humid air around., The seating mixup put a damper on our evening. Good chicken fried chicken and the chicken fried steak adequate, yeast rolls so tasty. For cost here you’d think bread would be complimentary. Server was nice and tried to accommodate after our group’s interaction with young abrupt rude hostesses. Rotisserie chicken salad very good as well. Short ribs good but expensive for size. Don’t order broccoli au gratin - very watery. Sausage gravy served with chicken fried chicken and chicken fried steak. Weird… why not plain!!!! 1 star for hostesses, but our server was 5 stars and it was reflected in his tip.

Amazing family friendly fun restaurant. Beautiful setting, yummy menu for all foodies, scenic and relaxing location. Food was delicious, live music, beautiful bistro outdoor setting. Loved everything about this restaurant from the menu to the setting to the desserts!! Tip, highly recommend the peach cobbler! Only getting 4 stars because service was embarrassingly slow for such a wonderful restaurant. We actually had to seek out the manager more than once to find out what was going on with our drink orders. If they can just do better on a timely service, this could be the best restaurant in the whole Houston area.

Had to stop in for dinner after hearing rave reviews from some cousins and friends. Most of our appetizers were pretty good, especially the Fried “House” Pickle & Jalapeño Slices and the Dutch Bitterballen. We also shared a cheese flatbread that was delicious. The only thing to avoid was the off the menu special we ordered of grilled oysters. Hard to enjoy the flavors as it was far too smoky (overpowered the entire dish). From there, the rest of our food ranged from just decent to good. All of our steaks came out over-cooked, as they were more medium/medium+ than medium rare. The flavors of all the steak dishes were ok, but didn’t make up for the lackluster texture. The Chicken Fried Steak was pretty good, but needed a lot of pepper to make up for a fairly bleh gravy. The biggest downside of the main course was probably the extremely oily Baked Truffle Mac & Cheese (very wet and soggy rather than thick and creamy). For desserts, the only one that stood out was the Spiced Rum Bread Pudding (solid option). The Dekker’s Famous Chocolate Cake and Pecan Buttermilk Pie were both more cold and bland than anything else. Overall, we had a decent experience, but can’t say it met the high expectations we had going in.

We had dinner at Anthonie’s (Simonton) this evening. We have been there 4 times before and enjoyed ourselves. Tonight was different in the aspect that they were very busy (the weather was just right to eat outside) and this was probably a factor, however in the restaurant industry this should not matter (fyi: we have owned a few). The environment was incredible with the outside seating in the country, beautiful setting. We were greeted by the waitress that was assigned to the section next to ours because we were looking for our server, she was awesome. Our server arrived soon after with water and a smile, although he was attentive, he did not meet our expectations especially at the end of our dinner. Water is important during a dinner service and the wine should be refilled just before the glasses are empty. The salad that my wife ordered was tasty but didn’t meet the expectations of a $25 salad at a nice restaurant. My steak special from the menu was cooked just right, but the 2 minuscule slices of mushrooms, onion and bell pepper was pathetic. The flavor was on point, but for $39 I should have received a steak that could have been cut with a butter knife (which I had to ask for a steak knife that was not given with). The Broccoli casserole tasted great but was more like broccoli soup, not Broccoli gratin. If Chef Dekker was on site tonight he should be somewhat embarrassed and if he wasn’t on site during a very busy service he should have been. Service was less than adequate. Tips stands for “to insure prompt/proper service” and was not achieved, but was expected for a $160 bill. Best Regards, and we hope this aids in improvement.

I hate to write this, but if I don’t, I’ll kick myself later. This restaurant is usually very good. We eat here often, which is why tonight was so frustrating. I genuinely do not know what was going on, but the entire experience was riddled with issues from start to finish. We had a reservation for 6:15 pm, arrived a few minutes early, and still waited over 10 minutes to be seated. At that time of day, that should not be an issue. If it were after 7 pm, fine. But at 6:15, with a reservation, it already set the wrong tone. Then we’re seated at a high top. If someone makes a reservation for a family, do not stick them at a high top. That alone felt careless and unprofessional. Drinks came out fine. Appetizers were fine. Then the real fun began. I ordered the prime rib, which I order here regularly around this same time. The waiter came back saying there was no prime rib. Okay, I start looking for something else. A few minutes later, he returns saying they do have prime rib and that he would reserve it for me. Great. Five to ten minutes later, he’s back again. No prime rib after all. Someone did something, kitchen issue, no longer available. At that point, whatever. I switch to the special, a New York strip. Food arrives. They brought a ribeye instead. At this point I’m honestly laughing at the sheer tomfoolery. Then I take a bite. The steak is cold. My wife’s steak is also cold. The kids’ food was hot, so I guess that’s a win somewhere, but come on. This has crossed from frustrating into absurd. For context, we eat here often. A bottle of Austin Hope, lobster, and Oscar-style steak toppings easily put a single meal around $400, and that’s normal for us here. At that price point, expectations are not unreasonable. Warm food is not optional. It is the bare minimum. I can get a great bottle of wine and a steak dinner at countless places across Greater Houston and within the city limits for the same money. When you’re charging at this level, execution has to match. I truly hope tonight was a fluke. If not, your team needs to tighten things up, and fast. Competition is coming at light speed.

It would have been a better rating, but was dissapointed about what happened to our supposedly 'reservation'. I booked for 6 pax, INDOOR table via their website and they confirmed via email. Went today and we were given an OUTDOOR table, I asked why, and the staff said the indoor seating is a 'first come, first serve basis', then what's the purpose of doing the reservation in the first place? After that it kinda ruined our over-all experience, its our first time here, and this happened. The food was good though, the shrimp scampy was underseasoned for me, and would prefer the teriyaki sauce for the anthonies steak on the side. Parmesan fries, calamari and flat bread were good, chocolate cake and cheesecake were average.

We’ve been to Anthony’s several times over the years, including during the height of COVID when we ordered takeout to help support the business. They were one of the few in the area still offering chef-prepared meals at that time, which we appreciated. That said, this restaurant has always had a reputation for being very busy—especially on weekends. Reservations are a must. It gets crowded, loud, and the tables are fairly close together. The patio offers more space, but kids tend to run around unsupervised, even with signage asking otherwise. While they do offer live music, which adds a nice touch to the atmosphere, this is really best suited for adults. Think dinner with friends or relatives—not ideal for little ones, especially in the evening. Service was friendly but intermittent. We had to flag down our server a few times for basic things like drink refills. My beef teriyaki was cooked perfectly, and the rice was well-prepared. However, the dish came out with the temperature stick still in the meat, which should’ve been caught by Expo before leaving the kitchen. I would have preferred more cilantro and slightly less red pepper flake—it left a sharp burn at the end of each bite. The mushrooms needed a bit more teriyaki sauce to balance them out. The chicken-for-steak substitution was handled well—cooked perfectly. Mashed potatoes were underwhelming. Kids’ chicken tenders were great (just wish there were more), and the seasoned fries were excellent. We didn’t order dessert this time, but we’ve enjoyed it in the past. Final thoughts: Your experience here really depends on when you go, how busy it is, and the quality of your server. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here, but I’d absolutely return for a quieter weekday lunch date.

My brother took me to Anthonie's Market Grill, in Simonton Texas, west of Katy, for my birthday dinner on September 30th at about 4PM. He said it came highly recommended. He had been there before. It has a down home rustic look in a rural setting. The staff at the hostess stand were friendly and efficient. Brandon, the waiter, was ok for me, but was off-putting according to older my brother. He came on too too casually jovial for him. My ribeye steak was delicious.  However, my mac & cheese tasted good, but a bit too soupy.  Our desert, pecan pie ala mode tasted ok. But the pie was cold, straight from the freezer. My brother and I had a rather disappointing customer experience.  Hopefully, the next visit will be better. Arjumand Mubaarak, Houston Texas

By husband was so excited to take me here for our anniversary as we had both read amazing reviews. We started with fried pickles and peppers and spinach dip. The fried pickles and peppers were pretty good, but instantly made mine and my daughter's stomach hurt. The spinach dip was not the best. My kids loved their kids meals!! I was disappointed to find out that the chicken we added to my daughter's child fettuccine cost as much as her kids meal. My husband had chicken fried steak, he said it was just okay and that Clancy's off 359 is much better. I had the Cod that the waiter recommended...I was not impressed at all. Overall, we were not impressed with the food. In my opinion it was extremely overpriced. We did have good service, kids liked their food and the outdoor ambiance was beautiful. Unfortunately I don't believe those 3 things will bring us back.

Went for a friend's birthday and after a long drive, not a problem, and was looking forward to a good meal. The venue is amazing, great setting in middle of country and a top tier chef to boot. However, I feel they over sell their food and quality. My food was barely warm, over $20 for an old fashion is more than I pay at a high end place in Houston, and it just seemed lack luster. Service was good, just know if there is more than 8 in your party you have to sit outside. Thank goodness we were by a large fan as there are only a few months in Texas country that do not produce scalding heat and mosquitoes. For the area it is located, you can not be at it. But, truthfully nothing special is offered and over priced for what it offers on quality of food.

I was excited to try out Anthonie’s because of its reputation. The ambience was nice, especially with the classical guitarist on the patio. It was a bit hot in September on the patio, even with the fans, but it was bearable. I had a delicious red sangria, but it was the highlight of my meal. We started with the hot goat cheese dip. We were shocked to see it served with sliced sourdough bread that looked like it was from the grocery store. The dip itself was quite unbalanced in flavor and could have benefited from significantly more bacon and herbs. My boyfriend ordered the short ribs, which were not very tender and served with a somewhat bland gravy over potatoes. I had the special of the day char fish. It was ok and served with a thankfully tasty sauce with mushrooms, though not quite enough in quantity to get me through the strong flavor of the fish. For dessert, we shared their famous chocolate cake, which was tall and hot but quite unremarkable. It could’ve really used some chocolate chips or a stronger-tasting chocolate sauce to accompany it. To be honest, I wouldn’t really return to Anthonie’s, and if I did it, I would definitely try different dishes. It’s an understatement to say we were disappointed.

Beautiful Ambience, but Poor Service and Food Quality Anthony’s Market Grill definitely has potential — the ambience is lovely, and the live music adds a nice touch. Unfortunately, the service and food left a lot to be desired. We sat there for 15–20 minutes before anyone even brought us menus. No greeting, no water, nothing — we felt completely ignored. When the food arrived, the flatbread was soggy, and the truffled main dish was drowning in oil. To make matters worse, there were flies all over our appetizer. We politely asked for a fly swatter, but no one ever brought one or even followed up. One of the chairs at our table was also extremely hazardous with the aluminum broken in the corner with a piece of metal sticking out. We mentioned it to the staff, but they completely ignored us. This place has a great setup and could be a gem if the service and attention to detail matched the atmosphere. Unfortunately, I left disappointed and I will definitely not be returning

I’ve been to Anthonies more than 15 times over the years and have always enjoyed the food and service—until today. We came in to celebrate a family member’s birthday. The service was good and the food was fine, but the experience was ruined when my son found something that looked like mold at the bottom of his dark Tab beer. He also mentioned a very unpleasant aftertaste at the end of the beer. We immediately reported it to our server, Ursula, who was great and handled it professionally. However, I fully expected the manager to come to our table to address a serious issue like this. He never did. At the end of the meal, I personally approached the manager, and his reaction was basically that it was no big deal. No concern, no apology, no effort to make it right. Now we’re left hoping my son doesn’t get sick, because the situation was honestly awful and concerning. What should have been a celebration turned into a disappointment. After this experience and the lack of care from management, we will not be returning.
