There’s a buffet of choices they also serve sushi AND poke bowls AND boba tea!! All in one spot. The food is great we love this place the prices are reasonable and the restaurant is clean! 5 stars from me.

I lived across the street for 7 years and loved this place. I live in SJ now and still make the trip every once in a while. I literally watched this place come up from a vacant looking spot with the owner filing people’s taxes in the corner to little by little getting remodeled into the nicer restaurant it is now. I love this place. It’s clean, the food is good and fresh, and the prices are fair. 👍👍

I felt very lucky discovering this great eatery on my trip. the food was fresh with the best sweet and sour tastes for the pork and the chicken was delicious chunks perfectly prepared. They were very gracious to cook up delicious dessert, hot sesame seed balls filled with red bean paste that I enjoyed on the long voyage back to I5 from the coast. The locals were really enjoying lunch, and the focus seemed to be on fast service and fresh, plus ready to go nutritious meals. Thank you., I felt fine on the rest of my trip back hoime.

Very friendly. Always comes in clutch when they run out of food and substitute with better food. A lot of food for around $20. Great for date night. The tall white guy with the nose ring is awesome. 10/10, would recommend.

Best chinese food near by, i think, too bad i live in SJ, and always come here when my delivery route passes through gilroy.

We had a huge take out order for our multi-generational family of 10 and everything was perfect. They got the order totally correct. The food containers were packed, so no scrimping either. We love their Chow Fun; yummy noodles. Their sesame shrimp and sesame chicken are really delicious. Part of the family is vegetarian and Mr. Hongs has a lot of options for them. They really like the Vegetables Deluxe and Kung Pao Tofu. I love the Dry Sauteed String Beans. The toddler does too. They're addictive. We have leftovers for lunch tomorrow too. We'll definitely be back again.

Way better than Panda Express. The meat is perfectly cooked and covered in a good amount of sauce. My go-to choice here is the orange chicken and the sweet and sour pork. The portions are also very generous. They also serve boba as well as sushi here. The rice is perfectly seasoned, and the chow mein is delicious. Customer service is also pretty good, and it doesn't take too long to get helped. If they opened up a location in San Jose as well, they would do really well.

The servers at Mr. Hong's are always incredibly polite and attentive. They are always kind and patient, even when they are busy with online orders and dine-in customers. I always appreciate their communication, letting me know approximately how long my food will take and what recommendations they have if they are out of something (which is rare in my experience). Today I ordered the Pink Lady roll, and while they were out of tuna, the server offered salmon instead, which was just as tasty! Thank you for your kindness and effort - it doesn't go unnoticed!

This is my go to chinese place! Food is good, service is fast. If you dont see it in the hot bins just ask them, they usually have it! Their catering is very reasonable and love that they deliver! They have recently done a lot of redecorating and updates in the dining area, looks very nice! Prefer this over Panda Express any day!

1st time there & the pepper & garlic fish was dynamite!!! And our server Oscar was very patient, professional, & informative, I have to bring the whole family back to this place... 😁👍

The fried rice was excellent. Beef & broccoli and mushroom chicken were good but a little heavy on the veggies and not a little light on meat. Alao had the sweet and sour pork, it was good but very doughy and fatty. After I ordered my choices I realized they had more choices around the corner that looked a lot better, especially the sezschuan chicken. Next time I'll choose better items.

The food here is decent and large portions for a very reasonable price. They have many options including sushi and soup. Many types of meat and appetizers.

If you want filling chinese fast food that's affordable, eat here. Bigger portions than what Panda Express offers and a more affordable price. Food is good and the Pork is my favorite. I usually get the fish but lately they've been out of it. But definitely a good item. Orange chicken taste good and not as hard as Panda's. There's a car body shop next to it so you can eat here while you get your windows tinted. Only down side is that the item names aren't displayed anymore so I find myself just saying, 'Can I get that red meat?"

The place was updated with new furniture and a smoothie bar added. Good flavors for the food items. Service is buffet style where you pick your items. I odered fried shrimp but they refry to heat up, which is too greesy for my taste. I also ordered, orange chicken (fresh) and stream rice. The steam rice was too hard/dry for me.

Not bad for the price! Unique atmosphere does actually feel homey in such a weird way i cant describe. Great for late night in pj's chinese food. Best part is- they play movies instead of sports! Makes it inviting to guys like me!

I've been here a few times over the years since they opened. It was always a good experience, and the variety used to be better. I'm very disappointed the red bean paste banks are gone. I LOVE those. The remodel looks really fancy, but doesn't reflect in the service (which isn't bad, but it wasn't great either). The two staff members I interacted with were nice. The variety of dishes to choose from dropped since my last visit. I ordered chow mein (good), broccoli beef (good), sweet & sour pork (good, but soggy), orange chicken (good flavor, terribly soggy), and a Milk Tea...Oh that milk tea, it was not good. Any other place I've ordered a milk tea it's been creamy, sweet, and oh so satisfyingly tasty! The milk tea from this place was none of those things. It was bland, bitter, and NOT worth the $3.75 they charged me. It was black tea, half & half, and ice (I opted for no boba this time). Not sure if I'd come back.

The food is really good and reasonably priced however the soda machine has been down for months and they don't even offer water. This is a drag. The workers are nice. Man if it wasn't for that soda machine, I would have given it a much higher rating.

I'm not usually a person to leave negative reviews. But this one is an exception. The food was cold and the garlic fish was dry. The place was full of flies and I was trying to sway away flies for half of my time there. I get that it's Chinese fast food but this is just bad.

I went last night at 9:10pm when I saw they closed at 10pm only to get there and have no selection and everything almost cleaned and put away. We asked if they can make an order to go they said no. I asked what time they closed because online it said 10pm they told me 930pm either way they were not open for business at 910pm. I left very disappointed because I do love the food.

Not a great big selection, my sister ordered sushi and it was served expired. The atmosphere is just sad. The food wasn't all that great. Panda Express would have fresher food for the same price.

8/15/16. After many years of happy customers, what can I say New Management. Price changes and recipe changes. Their fried rice consist of fresh rice mix with a bag of frozen peas and carrots and some corn. The orange chicken and the five spice chicken are the exact same thing. They got rid of the best thing on the menu, the garlic jalapeno calamari. The Chow Mein noodles consisted of smaller noodles and no additional ingredients just sauce. Over fried and very greasy egg rolls. All the food is lacking flavor and it's all cooked in the same oil so everything taste the same. You can basically buy the exact same stuff on the Asian Roach Coach and at the Safeway Buffet. The bottom line New Management has changed what we used to like and turned it into the cheapest product at the highest prices. Me and my family will not make a return visit instead we will venture out and try new places.

Called in the other evening to place an order. Dude picks up unprofessionally with just, "Hello?" I confirm it's Hong's and he asks me to hold. 15 minutes later I'm still on hold as I walk into the place with 3 employees and a single customer and ask who left me on hold. Tall guy immediately starts apologizing saying it was "busy" yet all three were standing at the front waiting for customers. The short, dark dude who actually picked up agrees and when confronted about why he left me on hold, said nothing as tall guy tried to apologize again, but doesn't accept responsibility for leaving me on hold and standing around. I ask one more time and a dude I'm familiar with says it was him, even though thats not how he answers. I highly recommend learning how to professionally answer phones and not to upset regular customers that'll no longer be going to this establishment. Thanks for the needless disrespect and money in my pocket

They were really busy . So I thought the food was gonna be good plus it had great reviews. Ended up being “blah” plus the customer was wack. They didn’t even have napkins I can say the black tea was good.
