Chef Cari and husband did it again with a great dining experience. Mendy the manager executes it with aplomb. Detroit needed this. Very good, regardless of whether or not you are kosher. Food is terrific. Many great choices and everything I've tried is a hit.

This place is just such a gem. Killer food at a decent price served by people who care and take pride. Tried the wings for the first time for Super Bowl, they did not disappoint! One suggestion: consider adding a vegetarian designation to your menu.

The food is consistently great and a nice addition to the Kosher food scene. The manager is super friendly and helpful as are the workers. I tried the falafel and can say that this is the best falafel kosher detroit has scene. The rest of the items were solid as well.

Came over chol hamoed Pesach. There was a food truck outside, and was able to eat inside. Delicious klp hamburger and wings. Was told it's authentic Detroit cuisine, TBD. Nice ppl.

This was our 1st time there and it was amazing the Burgers were the best i have ever tasted 😋 and the chicken schnitzel was great!

I was excited to find this restaurant by chance today and My husband and I were blown away. We had a shawarma and a schnitzel pita and it was delicious! Loved the shug sauce on the sandwiches. The pita and laffas tasted homemade. Also of note, I have a severe allergy to nuts and shellfish and this place was very safe. We really enjoyed our meals and hope to return.

I’ve been quite excited to review of Ess In Co. I wanted to dine in a few times before publishing my review to make sure I could sample a large part of the menu and be able to confidently report what you can consistently expect, as opposed to exceptional irregularities and one offs. The menu is exciting, diverse, and has a good balance of meat, fish, and vegetarian options. The price range is quite reasonable compared to kosher dining establishments. Staff are nice and greet the guests. Dining room is clean. Decor is well-designed and harmonizes well with the concept. Obvious that great detail went into design. I tried the fried chicken, chicken poppers, chicken tacos, fish tacos, hand cut fries, Mac n’ cheese, mashed potatoes, Israeli salad, creamed spinach, cornbread, purple cabbage, and house salad. Everything is fantastic. Here’s a áreas for improvement: mac n’ cheese is dairy free- a very daring undertaking and one I respect greatly. Nonetheless, flavor is lacking. Israeli salad did not have any red onion and olive oil was overwhelming. A separate wash station/bathroom would benefit guests and not obstruct kitchen staff. Online ordering could be considered. Lunch special would be greatly appreciated. Will update periodically. Kudos to the owners for such an amazing concept with great food that happens to be kosher, as opposed to kosher food that happens to be great.

I am telling you right now that if you haven’t had the Smash Butger yet, you need to run, not walk, run to Essin and pick one up!! I’ve never had a bad meal here but this burger is next level!!! I would have added a photo but there wasn’t time…

Food was delicious, ample amounts. Welcoming and pleasant service. Excellent value for money.

Large Portions, best customer service you’re going to find and delicious food and they get your food to you quickly:). I’ve ordered the 2 piece chicken with mashed potatoes and the fish and chips and it’s always really nice size portions and the atmosphere for dine in is perfect for lunch. Definitely coming back!
