Qué dicen los clientes de DQ Grill & Chill
Customer experiences are mixed. Many praise the friendly staff, fresh food, and custom birthday cakes (Matthew & Troy mentioned). However, others report slow service, rude staff, unclean restrooms, and inconsistent blizzard quality. Some feel portions are shrinking while prices rise.

You can not go wrong with a reese peanut butter cup blizzard made with chocolate ice cream!! It is absolute heaven!! Yummy!
They are under new ownership. We met the new owner and he is super nice! Plus he accepts coupons!!! Food was fresh and store was clean. Definitely will be coming back.
I love Dairy Queen! I got prob once every other week. I will get the same thing with a Cherry milkshake or a Cherry Sunday with extra syrup on the bottom (they never put any syrup in the bottom of the Sunday) most of the time I get what I order, but some time, usually the same employee is on top much of a hurry rush you thru ordering and all I can think of she doesn't like her job cause everyone I get her she doesn't listen and I don't get what I order. Anybody else doesn't do that and are very friendly and they listen.
Wanted a caramel sundae and of course, mcd’s did away with that years ago so pulled through dq at 8:15 and best caramel sundae with pecans ever! The caramel was warm, the pecans tasted toasty and fresh and the ice cream was firm and delicious! If they’re running everything this way, they need better reviews!
Great place to eat lunch, people who work here are awesome. I love their chili dogs and cheese curds with ranch dressing.
I went there yesterday and had the best experience. Food was fresh, the best hamburgers I’ve had at a Dairy Queen. Blizzards were amazing and the staff is super friendly. You can tell they like their job. It is farther away from our home, but we will drive to this location from now on.
I got an ice cream cake for my wife's birthday and they offered to put Happy Birthday and her name on it. Which I took them up on. Matthew was awesome and the 2 young ladies that did the cake were too. My new go to.
A family member loves DQ birthday cakes and this location had plenty from which to choose. Troy added a custom happy birthday message on top and it's great. We were in & out in under 10 minutes and received terrific service.
Typically understand staffed. I feel bad for the workers putting in all these hours during the summer all that food making. Otherwise it's a pretty good, place. I gave it 4 stars because they are having problems with their intercom system. And there would be obvious times of the intercom system not working and rather than put up a sign saying that it's not working, they expect to you to pull forward and talk to them after waiting for about 5 minutes.
Stopped at Dairy Queen for ice cream. The shop is clean and bright. The staff friendly and patient while we made our selections. My Oreo Blizzard was just like I remembered, thick dairy queen ice cream jammed with blended Oreo cookie pieces. My friends chocolate dipped cone was just as she remembered it. Two for two - good job.
Wife and I stopped here completely on a whim one day when we happened to both have the day off. For a Dairy Queen with seating and a drive-through, it is pretty standard - red seats, decent sized seating area, with the obligatory Ohio State decorations. Standard DQ menu with burgers, dogs, fried and ice cream. We ordered a couple of blizzards and it seemed like there were more candy than ice cream. My medium Butterfinger Blizzard had about the equivalent of a full candy bar in it.
Friendly staff with typical Dairy Queen food and soft serve. Prices have gone way up and I’m always surprised by my total here. Chicken strip basket is my go to and if I’m feeling fat I get a butterfinger or heath blizzard.
The food here is pretty good; it’s dairy queen. The blizzards are usually on point, but the chocolate milkshakes sometimes are pretty disappointing but if u come in at the right time, the service is almost instantaneous. After the lobby closes tho, the service def slows a bit, bit that’s to be expected. The service is always the best when Riley is working. He’s professional, fast, and always kind to customers. :)
I've had adequate service here. I mostly order blizzards. One lady gave my dog a pup cup. I will say though, if I had a horrible experience and the owner apologized and asked for another chance, I would agree to that for the price of $0.00.
Average location for the chain. Like most Dairy Queen locations the staff here is overly young, particularly unhelpful and slow, and they tend to be totally unable to get orders correct without trying two or three times. That being said the food here is slightly above average compared to other area locations, and the staff is friendly, just not particularly knowledgable or fast. If you have to have Dairy Queen this location send to be one of your safest bets if on the North side of town.
This location generally appears dirty in doorways, edges of corners, etc. The tables can be sticky. We rarely go inside, but wanted to leave our dining mess there today. The food is consistent for a Dairy Queen. We ordered cheesedogs and they were good.
First coney dog is always on point, so that was 5 stars. I actually went for grilled chicken sandwich which was on website but the location didn't have them or the salad whi h I also wanted. Then once I did get the food it was incorrect, the staff was great and fixed it but it took 2 times and the lobby is closed so had to go thru drive thru again. . . Just not helpful when on time frame for lunch. I will go back but will check order before I pull out and make sure I am not in a time crunch.
Well only thing I can say is that they need to work on the restrooms . I know the men's RR needs to be updated. Also if your serving drinks or anything from the counter please wash your hands FIRST! Don't put you hands all over the liid and lip of the cup! ESPECIALLY AFTER YOU USE A CLEANING TOWEL TO WIPE DOWN THE COUNTERS! I see no sanitation stations. Wiping your hands on your clothes doesn't do it.
Delicious ice cream I came here for the new crunchin' cookie dip and I got it in a parfait. It was delicious! They have really good ice cream here, I just wish they would flip the blizzards when they serve you like some locations do. UPDATE: don't waste your money on the $7 meal... They give you the tiniest portions ever and upcharge you $2 for a blizzard so then it's $9... Pictured is the 3 piece chicken strip basket, they didn't even give us 3 whole pieces of chicken, it's more like 2.5, if that. Best to get the $5 meal deal from McDonald's or the biggie bag from Wendy's... You can find much better bang for your buck elsewhere. Not to mention my Superman blizzard wasn't mixed thoroughly. There was a huge scoop of straight vanilla at the bottom.
The only reason I'm giving them a 2 is because the fries were fresh and you can't really mess up a plain hot dog. We also ordered a hot dog with ketchup and one with ketchup and mustard. There was enough ketchup and mustard on both for 6 hot dogs. If you every go here I would suggest asking for light condiments or you going to be in for a big surprise.
Nice customer service but it was FILTHY!!! Had to ask 4 napkins because there were none. We were gonna sit outside but all those tables were dirty also. Because EVERYTHING was soooooo expensive, l only got a twist cone. The ice cream was SUPER soft and hard to eat. I ended up throwing it out because it was making a HUGE mess while we walked around! VERY disappointed!!!
I waited in line for a good seven minutes with only two cars in front of me and diner was closed so I thought it would be quick but unfortunately not. Way over priced I spent almost nine dollars just for a regular fry and a medium blizzard which was given to me in a orange julius cup which seems smaller than the blizzard cup which I could be wrong but still way to expensive unfortunately I wont be going back.
Friendly and fast when we went HOWEVER.... they don't accept the app and ice cream prices are outrageous. $5+ for a small blizzard?! Really?! Prices vary by location*** There are much better places to get ice cream in the area--better quality and better price.
Either very under-staffed or staffed by the wrong people (or both). I ordered a small vanilla cone with a crunch coat at the drive-thru. One other vehicle was in front of me. After waiting several minutes for the people ahead of me to get their order, I pulled up to the window for my cone. I waited, and waited, as I watched the woman working the drive-thru work on someone else's order. I could not see any customers inside. I'm guessing she was working on the order from the car behind me. If I had been acknowledged at any point, I would have been happy to wait for my cone. Perhaps something was preventing her from getting to my order. All she needed to do was make eye contact with me and let me know she would be getting to me. After watching her prepare the third or fourth beverage of an order that obviously wasn't mine, I decided life is too short to spend so much time for one ice cream cone, so I did something I'm not sure I've ever done: I simply drove away. There was nothing indicating that my order had even been started, so I'm hopeful that they were able to simply void it out of their system without too much trouble. I'm definitely not proud of how I handled this transaction, but I'm someone with a fairly long fuse. If the end of my patience meter is reached, you're really providing below-average service.
Unfortunately, many of the negative reviews here were accurate. I was at this Dairy Queen today between 12 and 1PM to redeem my birthday coupon, and there was a long wait at the drive-thru as orders were made before the next person’s order was taken. One person even backed out of the drive-thru and left. It appeared that there were only two people working. I ordered two mini Blizzards and mentioned that I had a buy one/get one coupon. The person told me it would be $7.18. When I got to the window, I handed him the coupon and asked how the total could be $7.18. He took the coupon, entered the info on the cash register and told me it would be $3.59. When he handed me the first blizzard, the top wasn’t on securely, so it blew off (no biggie as I was getting ready to eat it anyway). And apparently, it was the first one they made, because by the time I got it, it was starting to get soupy. After he handed me the second one, that was it--no napkins, no receipt. I was ready to go after my long wait, so I just pulled away. Fortunately, I have a supply of napkins in my glove compartment. Hopefully the franchise owner reads these reviews, because it’s clear this location needs work. At the very least, they definitely need to hire or schedule more people.
Ordered Vanilla Malts, but got plain Vanilla shakes instead. When asked them to correct it, the attendant said I had to pay extra. She explained that they put the malt ingredient but it costs extra to add more. However that was not true! They had not put any amount of malt. I go to other Dairy Queen's (i.e. Hilliard) and never have this problem.
Im African American... they gave no contact. The food was Subpar.
Go to a different Dairy Queen. This one has the WORST blizzards. It's like they're afraid to use the proper amounts and the ice cream has a weird after taste.
Very slow service. Had to repeat my order 3 times at the drive-thru: Foot long Coney with cheese and extra onion, fries, small Cookie Jar Blizzard. Sat at the (open) window for 5 minutes listening to the staff yell and laugh loudly, speaking inappropriately. Was handed my food before they even asked for payment. The Blizzard cup had ice cream dripping off of it, into my lap. My Coney was wrong. The mix-ins in my Blizzard were all sitting on top. Gave 2 stars because the fries were hot and crispy.
Last time I was in this restaurant, I had stopped in just for a small blizzard. The drive thru was packed and there were at least ten people in line in front of me. There were only two people working and it was ridiculously slow. Several people left in front of me. I watched them cook and lost my appetite. The dining room was a mess and the front freezers had maybe 15 products ready for sale in them total. I won't be coming back to this DQ, which is a shame.
It's been a while since I've been to a Dairy Queen for food, and I was aware they cost more than most places, but I was shocked. I ordered a 1/2lb flamethrower burger and large blizzard. I couldn't believe when they told me it was $13.88. For those two items alone! Definitely much higher than I'd think. I'll give them credit that the burger was fine, though lacking much "flame", and the blizzard was good as always. I'd consider it worth a good $10. There was a long line, so someone is willing to pay it.
First of all, open your dining room up! Why is it still closed? Slow drive thru. Stop asking me if that's all I'll tell you when I'm done ordering. Total was $44 and change but they won't accept a 50 dollar bill. Food was good but you'll wait. Please post a sign if you won't accept bills over $20. Again the food is good but step up in a few other areas please
This Dairy Queen is bad. Came in the drive through and ordered a blizzard that they then said they didn't have - even though it was on menu still, and a swirl in a cup with sprinkles. After sitting in the drive through line for actually 40 minutes, they then handed us: 1. The wrong blizzard 2. A swirl without sprinkles 3. A second swirl without sprinkles Before FINALLY getting the order right. It was about 9pm, there was nobody in the store, and there were about 4 employees. They all seemed like they had no idea what was going on and it was awful. The ice cream was fine, when we got it. The service is just appallingly slow and they don't get orders right.
Very disappointed. My wife went through drive-thru and noticed NOT ONE employee was wearing a mask or gloves during this pandemic. We will not be visiting this Dairy Queen again. My father owned a Dairy Queen many years ago, and cleanliness was job one. We never had a pandemic to deal with, but I can assure you, if we had, he would do everything possible to protect the customer.
Ordered a medium mixing bowl blizzard not mixed fully with only one topping in it, a medium royal blizzard reeses fluffer nutter that didn't really have the fluff I paid for, a small royal strawberry cheesecake that was good. All of them had lids when handed over and were already starting to pool, no clue what happened bc last week I got 3 blizzards it was 👌 but today was just a meh overall. Idk what's up this time but hope it improves.
I have yet to have a good experience at this location including the meal my friend and I had this evening. Staff were lounging behind the counter, eating and drinking, including what appeared to be the manager on duty. Service was slow and not enough ingredients for the chocolate malt (which I paid extra) were included. I got a basic Chicken Basket that they didn't include toast with and forgot the extra gravy I paid for. I'd recommend seeking other Dairy Queens.
Not pleased with the service or our food. Waited 30 minutes in the drive through line because the lobby wasnt open. My 7 month pregnant friend wanted a blizzard, cheeseburger meal and kiddie cone. See picture of half filled fry basket. Not cool for that long of a wait. If we didnt have to wait in line for another 30 mintues, or I could have went in the lobby, we would have said something. Just wasnt worth the hassle. Dont waste your time at this location. Had she not wanted a blizzard, I would have went to the Wendy's next door.
I’m curious how there is a discrepancy in the price of a four piece chicken strip basket w/ no drink. How is it 7.49 at any other DQ around here and yet, this location is 9.00. they also don’t accept the app, and are rude as can be. Please avoid, some sketch going on here.
This is a horrible DQ and I will NOT be returning to this location. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger combo. No changes and nothing special. I also ordered a blizzard made with chocolate ice cream and heath. What I got was not only incorrect but disgusting. The burger itself was hard and dry and the cheese was barely melted and had hard corners. The "bacon" on the burger was burnt and tiny. There were two 2 inch pieces. I got a tiny sliver of onion and the lettuce what wilted and brown. Then the whole thing was so drenched in mayo that the bun was soggy. To top off that poor excuse for a burger the blizzard was made with vanilla. They didn't even attempt to do a chocolate mix and was half melted. And all of this was after having to wait 10 minutes at the window and then having to ask what I ordered.
Dear DQ management please get it together and help working class America who delights in a deal and your ice cream. Why don't you take coupons? We live half a mile from this location, you killed my children's dreams one Saturday night and left a bad rather than good taste in all of our mouths. Take the coupons don't be that guy. THEY DON'T TAKE COUPONS HERE!
This is the 2nd time this happened this week. I ordered 5 hotdogs, 2 were suppose to have only onions. Instead I get chili and cheese with no onions. I've tried to call location 6 times and no one has answered. I was missing my pretzel stick I paid 5.50 for also. Ruined my entire night. I guess I'll have to go in tommorow to get my money back since Noone will answer the phone.
The slowest drive through I've ever been through in my life - no exaggeration. There were 2 vehicles in front of me, and I had been waiting for a very long time (10 minutes), when I decided to just go next door to Wendy's. Wendy's was able to serve 4 vehicles in front of me + my own order fast enough to where the DQ had yet to serve the vehicle that was originally in front of me. How is this place not being reviewed by management for their lengthy service time? What's the point of a drive through then? This DQ has lost my business - as little of an impact that carries.
Second time we’ve been to this DQ after moving to the neighborhood. The first time was SO SLOW. They were busy so I can forgive that. This time I ordered a Mint Oreo Blizzard and asked them to add cheesecake bites. We were told that they cost extra, but no big deal. Get my blizzard and it is far less full than my husband’s, no mint, and no cheesecake bites. Which we paid extra for. And considering the apparently increased prices, well just be going down the road to Graeter’s.
I ordered a 1/4lb. Burger w/ bacon and got a 1/2lb. Burger w/ cheese. Mistakes happen, I understand, but when the food was presented to me the server told me it was a 1/2lb. Burger so I said that I had ordered a 1/4lb. Burger w/ bacon and he confirmed that this is what he was giving to me. This was not only a mistake but mistake compounded with a lie. When I tried to call this store to report this Pot performance theydid not do me the courtesy of answering the phone. I would not give them any stars but the onion rings were good. I will not return to this Dairy Queen again.
Just stopped through Dairy Queen in Dublin OH. Was told I was unable to use my coupon for a Labor Day free blizzard, with no reasoning as to why. This was after we stood there waiting for an attendant to come to the register for over 5 min of waiting. The young chick with yellow dreads was very unprofessional. Acted as if I was an inconvenience to her, probably because I interrupted her text message session. Will never visit this location again and explains why you received 2.2 out of 5 stars.
Horrible service. Waited over 10 minutes for food and was told it was all in the bag, when I specifically asked what sauces were put in the bag along with a side of onion rings. Checked the bag and of course there were no sauces and missing the onion rings that was I told were in the bag. Went inside to get the rest of my order and was told since I went through the drive thru I would have to go back through it to get my order corrected. Waited another 10 minutes to get what I should've have received in the first place. Asked for the managers name and was told I could not have it. Absolutely terrible and uncalled for.
I would like to start with I am very unsatisfied with the service I just received 😔. I wasn’t given a receipt I was given my chicken strip basket without a bag, I asked for a bag and catch up and she had an attitude and said they didn’t think I needed a bag because my food came in a box 😔. I asked if I could add a salad they said they didn’t have salad and I just looked on the menu and clearly you guys have salad I tried to call and the phone is ringing I’m going busy no one is answering this is very disappointing I have not been to Dairy Queen in years it was hoping I would get a really nice experience and it was completely terrible unfriendly they were rushing me even though it was a total ghost town I will not be going there ever again ☹️. Wish I could give it 0 stars 😢
I was ignored for 10 minutes while I was in line waiting to place and order. The orders in the drive thru are more important than walkins.
Worst Dairy Queen in the country. Items are priced higher than other Dairy Queen's, they don't accept or honor any national Dairy Queen promotions or coupons, they never update the drive through menu so it shows items they don't have at the moment, and the drive through is always super backed up. Why corporate doesn't clean house here is beside me. The reviews show I'm not alone here. I guess it's because there are no other ones in the area.
Don't go on Thursday night! Just waited in line for 30 min for two smores blizzards and a small vanilla ice cream. Get to the window the guy getting the order (mid 30's) was going slower than a snail, didn't have gloves on while making our order, and there was ice cream splattered all over the place!! 👎🏼👎🏼We didn't even eat it, we will never be back. Better off going to Graeters across the street!!!!
Last night around 9pm was my second and last time visiting this establishment. The black gurl with the red glasses first strong armed My blizzard to my like HERE and walked away with no words. I got home to find out my blizzard was made with vanilla ice cream vs chocolate like I asked for and it was not full (for $6.99 fill that MODO UP) . I went back and it was 15 min to close so no one spoke on the speaker. I pulled up to the window and told her my issue. She just looked at me like okay....would not take the blizzard back nor would throw it away. Made me a new one, again strong arm handed to me n walked away no words again. Look quit!!! Then go to the EAST or Far WEST side with your bad attitude. I want a blizzard NOT DRAMA!!! QUIT JUST QUIT...
Worst DQ I have ever visited. Dining room was closed so drive thru took forever. Placing the order was a mess because 2 different people were trying to take it and neither knew what they were doing. Had to repeat the order several times. Young man's hands at window looked like he had just left a landscaping job - his hands were filthy and I was totally grossed out. He had a hard time understanding my request for catsup and napkins. Had ordered 2 ice cream items, but no spoons in the bag, so had to circle around again and wait forever in the drive thru line just to get spoons. Also this location more expensive than other DQ's - what's that about? NEVER AGAIN. I suggest you pass this one up and go to the one on Park Rd. or Shrock Rd.
This Dairy Queen is absolutely terrible and they have the worst costumer service I've ever experienced. Every single time I've ever been there, the workers have been unexplainably rude and inconsiderate. They are always trying to close early and do everything they can to turn people away. I recently went to order a blizzard at 8:30pm and the man couldn't make any of the ones I asked for. He said that they were out of nuts, brownies, fudge and carmel. When we pulled around, half of the lights were shut off because they were trying to close almost TWO hours early. I'm forced to go to this Dairy Queen because it's the only one around, but I have yet to have a decent experience. It's completely filthy inside, cakes are decorated terribly, and the blizzards barely have any contents in them. Even though they don't want any, they do not deserve any business whatsoever.
Mr. Scruggs the GM needs to quit being cheap and start excepting coupons and getting nicer people to work here at this location oh and quit trying to use old food. People pay good money for you to live your type of lifestyle the least you can do is have fresh food nicer employees and accept coupons and the rewards app!!! How cheap can someone be??
I had a coupon for this exact location only, 2530 Bethel Rd, but the drive thru person said they don't accept coupons. I've used coupons here before, and it's baffling why they would send me a coupon via mail for the exact location and then decline it. I've also yet to encounter drive thru staff that has enough common courtesy to say something like "have a nice day" or "thank you". The blizzards themselves? Not bad, but you will likely have to wait unless you come early or late.
If I could give no stars I would my husband, my child and I went through the drive through to get ice cream and lunch and we're met by a very rude lady working the drive through. The lady kept telling my husband what to order and would not take his order at all then when my husband got frustrated and drove away she screamed curse words out the window. My 4 year old was in the car with the windows down. This is unacceptable and we will not be coming back and will be spreading the word about this horrible service. If this is the type of people whom dairy queen employs we won't be back.
Went through the drive through and ordered a chicken mozzarella sandwich. They tell me to pull up to the window for my total. Totally normal. After waiting for almost 10 minutes they come to the window to tell me that they are out of marinara sauce and ask if I want something else instead. At this point I had already paid so I just asked for a grilled cheese sandwich. Which they seemed fine with. And then after waiting another several minutes for my new sandwich, I ask if I can have the difference back in my cash because a grilled cheese is not going to be as expensive as the combo I originally ordered and instead the man at the window said "I just gave you two grilled cheeses instead." I will be perfectly full after the first one so I'm not sure what I'm supposed to do with the second one. Thanks for making sure that was okay before you "went ahead" and made that choice for me. I'm on a break from my own job and have limited time to get food and eat and I'm sad I wasted time and money here today.
Went there with a group of friends last night at 9:15 and were practically harassed by the store manager (lady) who is clearly disgruntled and not in the mood to help anyone let alone customers. She was yelling out all the orders, shouting at customers randomly and kids as if they were an inconvenience to her store, and eventually locked the door turned the lights off and refused to let them in after closing the store 45 mins before official closing time. I'm not sure how this branch is still in business, needless to say we will not be returning there ever again.
I am typically not a “Karen”, and for me to leave a bad review, well…it’s pretty bad. I wish I could give zero stars! Never have I been treated so disrespectful by an employee and was absolutely appalled they would treat a customer the way they did. The other day I went through the drive through and ordered my food. I guess they discontinued what I ordered, but I asked “what?” because I couldn’t hear. The girl got real smart and loud and replied back WE! DISCONTINUED! THEM! Then I just said that’s too bad because I was really craving them and had them in mind and she just goes “ok then, bye”! I couldn’t believe what I heard. I tried calling them right afterwards to speak to a manager but no answer. After seeing other reviews on here it sounds like I’m not the only one that deals with poor attitudes there. Hire people that know how to treat customers!
All the 1 star reviews are here for a reason. Choose a different Dairy Queen. The owner of this franchise ought to take notice and try to fix his staff. I often don't go to restaurants with ratings this low but didn't check before I came. I was rushed in the Dru-Thru while trying to make a decision, and when I let them know I needed more time the drive through person was complaining and didn't realize he had his speaker on. I went inside to address it with the manager in hopes of resolving it without having to leave a bad review, but waited a very long time before giving up and just leaving this review instead. Went to McDonald's for ice cream.
Google won't let me review it with zero stars, but one is being generous. Asked for nuts and whipped cream on the sundae, but got neither. Asked for a bottle of water (like the nice Aquafina displayed on their menu board at the drive-through), but was handed a cup of tap water. Waited a while before a male voice, possibly a recording, faintly rambled through an extensive greeting. When I asked if they could repeat that a little more loudly, a female loudly replied that she could help me with whatever I needed. Waited to pay. Waited for my order. No one else was there. French fries were fairly hot, but dry. I hadn't been to this location in years, and I doubt I'll return any sooner.
Stopped here on my way home from work. Ordered the 4 pc chicken strip with fries. I had to wait 8 minutes to get my order. When I was asked to pull up and wait, I requested a refund. Before my money was returned they brought my food out. I drove home, less then a mile, went inside and the fries was cold, mushy, inedible. The chicken strips was a little over cooked, tough. I will probably never return. Not to mention a $3 convey dog, really?
Attention: GM, Joe Scruggs: I continue to marvel at how profoundly rude and attitudinal virtually the entire staff is at this location. They glare at you, roll their eyes, ignore customers at the main counter for lengthy periods of time and let you know just how little they value your patronage. Generally the drive-through window is serviced at a pretty brisk clip but the customers inside are overlooked until someone is good and ready to get around to them. One evening I stood there for 7-8 minutes while one girl walked out, announcing loudly she was taking her smoke break; one guy pushing a mop bucket walked past me twice into the back of the store and never offered to help and two girls in the back directly in the line of sight, looked at me, mumbled amongst themselves but never left their area. All the while, there were THREE people working the window, with two of them leisurely refilling the napkin and straw dispensers. The interior of the restaurant was completely empty. A guy (with pretty bad acne) finally shambled over, took my order (promptly messed it up), never said 'thank you', gave me the wrong change and abruptly turned away. He didn't bother to fulfill the order though. (I got the distinct impression he was new but genuinely unmotivated to do much of anything that might tax his obviously low energy.) One kid brought out the burgers and fries and sent me on my way. However, no had brought me my fruit smoothie so I was left to wait at the counter for more minutes. Eventually one of the aforementioned girls brought out a small (only 3/4-filled) cup and shoved/slid it across the counter without a word. I know the compensation for their jobs is probably minimum wage or less but there's just no excuse for the awful staff you've got. Tonight, I was rung up by two guys on duty (both dripping with attitude again). The previously mentioned mop-bucket pusher was lamely dabbing at decorating a frozen cake and the other guy didn't seem to have much to do (as the restaurant was again empty). The register receipt said 116 Misty R was the server but it was an all guy staff as far as I could tell. I paid $10.17 for a lousy burger, mushrooms and a Peanut Buster Parfait but the service was predictably poor. Your store is in a prime location and could have so much more business. I only come to your place because the next closest DQ is quite a distance away from me. I'd recommend a complete overhaul of your staff and serious training implemented on the fundamentals of customer service! I won't be revisiting your store again until that happens. I'd prefer to give my hard-earned money to places that appreciate my business and treat me with some respect.
I’ve been going to this Dairy Queen for years now. Every time I go, something is wrong with my order. Whether it be an omission of a blizzard ingredient I paid extra for or a pitiful portion size for a small fry. The time for order completion is slow.l consistently. My most recent time they closed the dining room 15 minutes earlier than they had advertised so then I got to sit in a drive thru line for a half hour. I wish another Dairy Queen management team would take over or another Dairy Queen would open up closer to me.
I'd like to give it a zero star. Staff isn't friendly or inviting. Came there specifically to use the rewards program for a buy one get one. They don't participate in it and wouldn't be willing to work with me on anything. The cashier was about to but then the manager said no. That's disappointing, last time I got a blizzard here I got a cookie dough blizzard there was literally no cookie dough in it. And this time with just another bad experience, Plus the price is increased from what it used to be so definitely not coming back ever. Also don't recommend.
We brought our 3 kids in for blizzards and it was $18 😑 The lady manager was super curt, rude and completely miserable looking. She stared us down as we sat in the dining room and didn’t say thank you, have a good day, nothing. Just bad service and we could have gone to almost any other ice cream shop and had top notch service and ice cream for the same price or cheaper. The replace was empty so they may want to rethink their service!!!!
I ordered the classic cheeseburger with lettuce, tomatoes and mayonnaise. It ended up being awful because they put the whole thing in the microwave! Who out there wants hot mayonnaise, hot lettuce, hot tomatoes on a hot soggy bun??!! Very disappointed!! I would never serve anyone a sandwich like that. Just gross.
Very disappointed with both the quality and the service. We had to ask multiple times for all of our order to be given to us. We were given the wrong blizzard. The rotisserie chicken nuggets were the size of nickels and pennies. Ridiculous. Insult to injury: the cost was ridiculous. Two meals and a blizzard for $28. Medium blizzard. And again, the wrong one. Also, your staff had no manners. Slamming the window shut and disappearing whenever they had to fix something. We won't be back.
Order a large cotton candy blizzard and my husband order a medium sized blizzard. My large blizzard stopped where his begin at. I will only return when certain crew members are there.
Recently went to this Dairy Queen drive through and it was another out of many bad experiences I’ve had here over the last few years, but this experience was particularly horrible. I was ordering food for several people and when I got to the last item, the guy taking my order said “you’ll have to come inside to place your order because it’s too much food.” I was shocked and I asked him if he was joking. He said “ No, that’s the bosses rules, you have too much food, can you come inside?” I was seriously shocked, and my order wasn’t even that big ( I was ordering meals and blizzards for three people) so I told him, No, I’m not coming in, that’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard of and I’ve never had anyone at any fast food drive through tell me that I have to come in to place my order because three meals and three deserts was too much for them to handle at a drive through. I told him if it’s too much for you to handle, then neither you or you boss should be working here and it’s your problem, not the customers that are placing orders. I couldn’t for the life of me figure out what would honestly make the difference if I went inside. There was not a single person in the drive through line behind me. This Dairy Queen employs nothing but incompetent and rude people that do not want to do their job and they need to fire everyone one of them, starting with managers, and get a new crew that can actcully be smart enough to work there. This was the last straw for me, the straw that broke the camels back and I won’t ever go back to this location again. I can’t believe that this Dairy Queen is still standing. It’s the most horrible out of any that I’ve even been to with one bad exeperience after another. 0 stars!
Edited to make the review 1 star. We've visited this location 3 or 4 times now and there have been employees inside, but they refuse to answer or serve the drive through. If you need to adjust your hours to close earlier, then do it and update your signage. But continuing to allow your employees to close early and/or ignore paying customers is unacceptable. Ice cream is typically good. Almost always a long wait and you can tell that the kids working don't care. It doesn't seem like there is ever a manager on duty to keep things rolling along.
This place is awful and keeps getting worse. They need all new staff and to start over. The employees walk around with hickey marks, they walk around screaming at each other saying they are gonna fight one another, they are extremely slow and are very rude. I came through the drive through for 2 blizzards. That was it.... and it took me 20 minutes to finally get them. Once i pulled up to the window the young lady then told me my total and continued screaming at the other employees about fighting them. The window was closed and I still heard them because they were that loud. I loved going to dairy queen as a kid. This dairy queen is more like a dairy dump.
Wait is very long and they forgot my order. The ice cream was like milk in a cup with sprinkles on it. Blizzard wasn't mixed and the bottom was all vanilla ice cream. They just put lids on the cups so forget about the upside down rule. Due to the number of negative reviews I am pretty sure they know of the issues and management doesn't care enough to fix it.
I went through the drive-through. Saw a guy in front of me waiting for at least 2-3 minutes, so I rolled my window down, to listen and see if he was just taking his time ordering, but after about 30 seconds, I hear someone ask him for his order. This should've been the first sign that this was going to be a bad experience. When I got up to the drive-through, I understood why he was waiting. They had a pre-recorded message asking you to wait and that someone would be right with you. I didn't really like that they had this, because it makes the whole experience very impersonal. I'm not calling my insurance company or the bank. Second sign of bad experience noted. I ordered a cheeseburger with ONLY mayonnaise, lettuce, and cheese, and when I took a bite in the parking lot, I was disappointed to find ketchup, mustard pickles, but at least they added what I asked for, right? I spit it out and was trying to find a napkin and they didn't even give me any! Since I was in the parking lot still, I just went inside and asked them to re-make it. I also grabbed some napkins, because again, they didn't give me any in the bag. Oh, and they didn't give me a receipt either! While I was inside I noticed I was the only person in the restaurant. At 6 PM. On a weeknight. Then I heard a couple beeps and the whir of a microwave. They were ACTUALLY microwaving my cheeseburger. With MAYONNAISE and LETTUCE on it. As you'd expect, it was completely disgusting. The burger didn't taste fresh either. Would not recommend this place to anyone for the following reasons: poor customer service, no napkins, no receipt, make your food wrong, and when they correct it, they somehow manage to make it bad by microwaving it, and they don't seem to care about their customers all that much.
Ordered a small banana cream blizzard and was very disappointed that I waited 10 minutes and paid upwards of $4 for it. There were more cookie bits in it than there was ice cream and it was a melted runny mess. Definitely couldn't have held the cup upside down as they advertise. I'd like to give them another chance because the girl working the window seemed nice but this is my second negative experience.
They gave us half our food and I can't contact anybody to get my money back. I got through a few times but they hung up on me everytime. I don't exactly live close enough to just repeatedly drive over there. The service is awful. We couldn't even eat our food because we were afraid of food poisoning. The beef was sour and the veggies were starting to rot. Brown Lettuce and slimy onions. This is day two with no response and nobody answering the phones. Somebody picked up and just hung up immediately today. I was forced to attempt to contact the owner and if I don't get response I will have to report it as fraud.
Worst fast food experience ever. Two crabby mean 'Karens' running the drive thru. Mean to my kids, made them cry. Ridiculously expensive, $26 to feed 2 kids. Burnt, over fried inedible food. Not able to get the deserts requested with no reason given. There are better, cheaper places to get food and ice cream. Shut this horrendously run place down.
On this visit we did not eat food or ice cream. We went inside to order, waited for about 5 minutes with no one helping us. Then a worker, while digging for supplies crouching under the counter told us that the lobby was closed. We were there 15 minutes before the lobby closing hours, so we were confused, but given no explanation. The customer service was none existent. She didn't even stand up to tell us they were closing early or make eye contact. We left and went to the drive through (which was wrapped around the building and not moving). We sat there for 5 minutes also and the line never moved. We watched four other people go inside and leave. If the lobby was closed, staff should have locked the door. Eventually we left the drive through line too because it was not moving. We took our business across the street to Graeters. From now on we will go to a different DQ, since this location does not seem to care if they have customers.
Since I cannot have dairy, I attempted to go inside the store to grab a non dairy dilly bar. The doors were locked and said lobby was closed. I then waited in a 20 minute line for them to tell me that they are out of the non dairy dilly bars. What a waste of time. I also had to drive quite a ways to get to the location. Since I cannot have dairy, it’s quick for me to go inside and see and be on my way . But to sit in a long line to be told they are out of the only thing I can have on the menu was very disappointing.. the worker was also pretty rude.
I prefer a regular cheese curd and a small coke. I seen the girl trying to wipe off the excess soda on the outside which I appreciated however as she was handing it to me soda was running all over the outside of the cup. She knew because she looked at her hand and certainly felt it. Handed it to me anyways. Nobody wants sticky soda in their cup holder or all over their lap. I dumped half of it out as soon as she handed it too me. The employees have to try. Not harder just try! Lack of effort and common sense will keep me away from this location permanently.
I went through the drive through and got a blizzard. The girl at the window dumped a melted blizzard all over my hand and arm, without giving me any napkins. I asked her for napkins, but she ignored me and closed the window, leaving me sitting there with an overflowing cup of melted ice cream. I sat for minutes, yelling excuse me at the window until finally a different girl came and helped me clean my arm and the door. It was beyond anything I’ve experienced at a drive through. I’m furious
I waited in line at this Dairy Queen for over 30 minutes even though there were only about 10 cars in front of me. When I got up to order I had to repeat my order four times. It was a very simple straightforward order of two blizzards. Then after several moments they came back on and told me that they were out of ice cream and couldn’t make any blizzards at that time. We live very near this Dairy Queen and anytime we have ever been it has been a complete disaster. But this time I felt like we should finally leave a review.
If I could rate this is zero I would. I pulled up to the drive-through to order a meal and two ice cream treats. The person who was taking my order was completely confused and asked me to pull ahead. When I got there he gave me a total, the problem was I wasn’t finished with my order. He was obviously.upset and the manager told him to take a break (smart thing to do). I proceeded to try to finish my order, and it still took an additional seven minutes before they got it right. This was after I waited in line with three cars ahead of me for over 15 minutes.. I felt foolish when I was still sitting there waiting for my last item and two people were very rude to me asking me what I was missing then telling me they didn’t have Reese Cups (you don’t have Reese Cups?)... never again here. It’s expensive and they don’t take app coupons so it’s not a good value for the money. Go somewhere else.
I just went to the Bethel road dairy Queen and they don't even accept their own app. They won't give any discounts whatsoever They don't accept the coupons or the app you have to pay full price. Why do these developers even make these apps in the first place if they don't even honor them? They wanted $4.19 for a small milkshake and because they wouldn't accept my app they threw it away. Please make it make sense.. It's almost impossible to get anything decent out anyIt's almost impossible to get anything decent out anymore.
This is the only DQ I have ever been to where the employees make it obvious that they don't want you there. Drive Thru staff refused to even take my order because I asked for a extra item in a menu item, because '['adding peanut butter and strawberry makes it so there is no room for ice cream]'. Not my first time getting rude service from this location, it will be my last as well.
I just went through the drive thru, explain to me how one chicken basket, one small flurry and a small cheese curds is $23??? I have tried to call and the phone doesn't work! ***9/15 update after Owner replied. The phone still doesn't work and that link that the owner told me to go to doesn't work. Perhaps I should go back to the store???? Terrible customer service.
I will be calling the manager I found what appears to be I don’t even know in my cherry freeze absolutely disgusting I’m sick to my stomach
i’ve come here a couple times for lunch. the staff is consistently extremely rude for no reason at all and they all seem to hate their lives
Made the sundae completely wrong. Last time I went there, all my items were melted when I pulled up to the drive thru. Will not be back.
I won't be going to this location again. Understaffed and rushed, they need raises for showing up. They were out of slips for free Blizzards "if it isn't served upside down" which it wasn't. Ordered to-go and had to ask for a lid. I ordered the toffee cookie one but they didn't clean the machine between orders so I threw most of it away. It was this nasty fruit/cotton candy flavor that overwhelmed the mellow toffee and not edible to anyone over 5
Terrible experience at this Dairy Queen (2530 Bethel Rd, Columbus). A sandwich was made incorrectly, and staff refused to remake or refund it, insisting no mistakes were made. They also took the sandwich from the child and refused to return it. The manager escalated the situation by yelling and then called the police when I raised my voice. A child with us was in tears, afraid she was going to jail. Thankfully, the officer was kind and reassuring, but the emotional impact was real. To make matters worse, when we tried to fill out the survey on our receipt, it had already been completed—likely by someone at the store. Completely unprofessional from start to finish. Not a place I’d recommend, especially for families.
literally the worst location, they’re under new management and it’s terrible. my daughter and i just went to get ice cream, after waiting in a line for 10 minutes we finally get to the window and we weren’t greeted so i asked does she want me to order with a attitude she replies ago ahead. i tell her my order, she replies she can’t do that (it was swapping out the caramel for fudge keep in mind they just did this yesterday) which i told her and she replies well i wasn’t here yesterday. i came to leave a review and to no surprise it already has 2.9 stars, it deserves 0!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The owner of this place needs to get a hold of his people and figure out what's going on at his restaurant. With hours that are concealed and the opened sign is on both doors and the drive through lights and menu lights are on, and then the recording plays asking you to wait , everybody would believe that the place is opened. However apparently it was not opened and after waiting there after being asked to wait I eventually gave up. Here's an idea turn your lights off and take your open sign down and end the recording asking people to wait a moment because they're busy if you're not open
Seriously the worst service I’ve ever experienced. It’s humorously bad, don’t ignore all these reviews lol. I went inside to get two blizzards. After paying, while I was waiting, two Uber eats drivers and one person who ordered mobile order came in. They gave two of the people the wrong order, and basically told the last uber eats driver he was SOL because they didn’t have the order anymore and “gave it to the other driver”. HUH? And then they proceeded to get confused about my own order, put it in the freezer, and all just disappeared in the back basically. Someone came back out eventually and asked “what I was waiting for” and I got my ice cream. Go literally anywhere else
Horribly slow service. They have raised their prices, a medium blizzard now costs over $6.00 after tax. But the biggest problem, I ordered their blizzard of the month and they were out of half of the ingredients (No Reece's pieces our peanut butter) and they didn't tell me they were out of ingredients until after they charged my credit card and started making the blizzard. Much better service at the Worthington location.
