Food is delicious as always. I've been coming here for years and have never been disappointed in the quality of the food snd drinks.
Best place ever to eat Mexican in Houston- Katy!!! Anything on the menu is amazing. Best margaritas the best I ever had!!!! Owner is a sweet heart.
Over the years Los Faroles continues to get better and better each time we visit. I used to not like their salsas, but they changed the recipe and now they are delicious. Their big tamale is a favorite as well as their Enchiladas Verdes. Their chili relleno is one of the best in Houston/Katy, too. I don't usually care about the rice and beans are great, too. We have always get the same server who is very nice. Great meal, reasonably priced and friendly staff.
Los Faroles in Houston is absolutely fantastic—everything on the menu is delicious! The flavors are rich, authentic, and satisfying. One of the highlights was the Mangonada—sweet, tangy, and perfectly refreshing. If you enjoy bold and spicy food, you’ll love their dishes, but I do wish they’d turn up the heat just a bit more. A little extra spice would take it from great to unforgettable. Still, a must-visit spot with great service and an inviting atmosphere.
I had the pleasure of stopping in for lunch while out in the area preparing for an open house. All of the staff were very courteous and attentive. My food was delicious and prepared how I requested. I indulged in a margarita and it hit the spot. The manager Francisco was very helpful and kind as well. The price for lunch and a beverage was very reasonable. I will be back anytime I’m working in the area and can’t wait to try some of the other menu items, it all looked amazing.
Wow, we just had a fantastic meal at Los Faroles. The carnitas plate and mole chicken enchiladas were deliciosos. The waiter was warm, efficient and knowledgeable. The atmosphere could have easily transported us back to México. We finished our meal sharing the BEST tres leches cake we’ve ever had!
This place is a little drive for us but worth it for price, quality and service. They are pretty quick so we order our appetizer then when that comes out our dinner but they have everything very well timed. They're drinks are excellent with a changing happy margarita flavor. For those restaurants confused on what a botana plate should be, see below.
First time here and I am impressed, Food was so good and the service 10/10, I would highly recommend this place for good Authentic Mexican food. I ordered the charro beans and they were delicious. The food is definitely worth the price. I will be bringing my family here, great atmosphere.
Enchilada Verde had freshly grilled chunks of chicken! See picture. All the sauces were wonderful and well blended. (not chunky). I'm not good with spicy food. These were all super mild. I had the option of asking for some green and red hot sauces to add the heat to my liking if I wanted. I will be back and probably ask for some spice additives.
First time trying this place. My experience was not bad but it was not the best either. Service was ok. Lady that sat us at our table didnt even say hi. After that we ordered drinks. My margarita was ok, not weak, not strong, not the best. We were served chips and salsa. I ordered some street tacos, meat was a little bit hard, rice was good, and charro beans are more like baked sweet beans. I asked for some spicier sauce for my tacos. I was charged 1.50 (I understand some places like to charge extra but most places dont). This place has seating inside, a little bit of patio and a small bar. Plenty of parking. After 50 dlls our food was ok and service was ok. Its a hit or miss.
Horrible service! We was here 20 mins waiting to be serviced and other patrons walked in after us who was serviced and darn near finished there food before someone came to service us. The manger came after I asked about placing an order and changing my drink who was attentive to our request at all. I don’t want to make this a color thing but we were the only colored folks in there. 2 parties of people walked in after us and were serviced and got there food and drinks before we could even place a order. I decided to request the check without ordering and I would NEVER return to this establishment again! The lady in the photo showed up after us. They done ate their food and ready for bed while we still waiting to be serviced!
Heads Up: Think Twice Before Eating at Los Faroles - Serious Sanitation Concerns I feel I have a duty to share some deeply concerning information about the kitchen sanitation at Los Faroles restaurant. As a nearby resident, I have witnessed their daily practices for some time and felt compelled to investigate further. The issue is their back door and dumpster area. The restaurant consistently cooks with their kitchen's back door wide open. This door is directly exposed to a notoriously filthy and unsecured dumpster area. The dumpster is often left open, and the surrounding space is littered with overflowing trash and debris. This isn't just an eyesore; it's a major health hazard. With the kitchen door open, there is nothing preventing contaminants, pests, and odors from flowing directly into the food preparation area. The risk of cross-contamination is extremely high. The problem is so severe that it has created a massive vulture problem. Every single morning, there are 30 or more vultures circling, on the roofs, and feeding from the open dumpster. These are birds that are biologically designed to seek out rotting waste, and they are constantly in contact with the same area that's open to the kitchen. I have tried to address this directly with the restaurant on multiple occasions, but my concerns have been completely dismissed. In fact, they have now blocked my phone number to avoid being reminded to simply close their dumpster lid. Frustrated and alarmed, I have since installed a camera documenting these conditions. I am compiling all footage and sending it directly to the city's health department. A formal case is being built, but these processes take time. In the meantime, for your own health, I would strongly urge you to avoid eating at Los Faroles. When you eat there, you are likely eating food prepared in an environment that is actively exposed to waste and the pests it attracts. Your health is not worth the risk. Remember: the kitchen is right there by the open door. #FoodSafety #HealthCodeViolation #LosFaroles #Sanitation #PublicHealth #DineSafe
Ordered a simple agua de horchata that tasted weird, but I told the waitress it was ok. The other waiter offered to change it but was very rude about it when I wasn't even karening. Literally sent me off with a stare, saying "BYE" and throwing the previous drink away very loudly. Even the waitress was uncomfortable. First time and last time.
We had an appetizer plate missing and the beef fajita for one arrived with 2 strips of fajita. Manager was extremely rude, and blamed the DoorDash driver of eating the food. This is the second time within the last 2 weeks that we’ve ordered and had an issue with an item (Second picture is of the nacho appetizer we had ordered in a different occasions) Used to be good but not lately.
