The food is Aaaaaammmazinnngggg and has exquisite cuisines and gives an experience Worth exploring the staff is excellent and extremely attentive the chef is very humble the manager is down to earth and the atmosphere is relaxing, elegant, scenic and gives chill vibes
Went in for happy hour and ordered too much. Very satisfying with great service and even greater food. Had a couple old fashioned and lemon drop and both were top notch.
Came for a friend's Birthday dinner. Food was very good had the Cedar smoked Salmon. Happy Hour Lemon Drop was awesome! Our sever was great, very attentive.
My son and I spent a glorious day in our beautiful city of Houston. Lunch at McCormick was the highlight of the day. The location and restaurant were absolutely opulent and beautiful. The staff was courteous and welcoming. Our waitress, Melissa, was spectacular! We feasted on the fried calamari, crab cake,Korean fried chicken, and the crab/shrimp salad with seasoned fries. We also had two of their flavored lemonades. Overall, the experience was a 9/10, and we will return to try the dinner options! Thanks again, McCormick!
First time at McCormick & Schmicks, my group had a little bit of everything. The shrimp scampi was excellent as well as the Snapper and Redfish my friends had. I tried the Halibut because I haven't had it much and it was good, should have ordered it blackened but still very good. My friends weren't big on the broccolini though, a little undercooked they felt. The calamari was sooo tender and delicious as well as the black mussels. We also had some lobster bisque and clam chowder....it was all amazing!!
They have very nice outdoor seating. Great Happy Hour Specials. Services was good. Food presentation was nice . Food was nicely seasoned. Sangria was very tasty.
I’ve been an M&S customer for decades. Great happy hour- food and drinks. First time to this location. Lovely bartender and server. You can always trust great food and drinks .
I thought it was a bit unusual, as did other attendees, but we am here for a breakfast presentation. I had not been here prior to this event. I must say that I was very impressed with the service and politeness of the employees. They were over the top great. The atmosphere was very nice, accommodating, clean, and nice decor. The meal was served buffet style and while not over the top extravagant, it was all prepared very well and nicely presented. It was a nice surprise overall and from a business standpoint, a great way for them to increase their business. Overall, a great experience.
I went for ny birthday its been on my list to try but finally made it my only complaint is why I haven't been came here... service was immaculate!
The restaurant is nicely decorated, creating a cozy atmosphere. We had a late lunch so the dining room was not busy. The bar had lots of attractive, well dressed people on a Wednesday afternoon, so it’s obviously a great place to visit. I ordered a 13 oz steak that was superbly seasoned and cooked perfectly to my liking. Our waiter was Tristan and was very attentive and helpful. Sorry, I forgot to take a picture of my steak, but the salad was fresh & delicious. There is a patio that is very inviting for when it cools off here in Houston. Hopefully, we can return soon.
Came yesterday to celebrate my father’s birthday, and everything went really well. Big thanks to the GM, Glenn, and his staff — Edwin and Nancy. You all were amazing. Most of the food was good, though the pasta was a bit bland, the artichoke dip had too many onions, and the potatoes were a little too salty. Overall, we still had a great experience and truly appreciate the service.
Jaz was an amazing waiter! From the moment we were seated, she was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything was perfect throughout the meal. She checked in at the right times, had a great attitude, and really made the dining experience enjoyable. Excellent service like his definitely makes me want to come back. Thank you, Jaz!
Stopped in before a concert for dinner, let them know what time we needed to leave, and Lou was AWESOME! drinks were fast, food was fantastic, cooked to perfection, and the GM was in the bar helping keep up with the demand. Dessert was crazy good . 2 Filets, 1 Ribeye, and one Snapper... Chocolate Heath Bar dessert. Fantastic Job y'all!! Thank you
We celebrated CJ’s surprise 18th birthday at McCormick & Schmick’s Houston, and the evening was unforgettable. The food was outstanding—“pure deliciousness all around,” in the birthday boy’s words. Marissa went above and beyond with her kindness and thoughtful support, setting the perfect tone for the celebration. Jazz and Luther were phenomenal, anticipating every need and adding warmth and care that made the night effortless and special. Thanks to the entire team, CJ’s milestone birthday was filled with joy and wonderful memories. We’ll definitely be back for future celebrations!
We had an amazing experience at McCormick & Schmick’s downtown and all thanks to our server Lou. He was genuinely one of the best servers we’ve ever had knowledgeable and super friendly. His recommendations were spot-on!!! Starting our meal with oysters was perfect, and adding the crab cake to my steak took the whole dish to another level. Lou made our night memorable. If you’re dining here, ask for him you won’t be disappointed!
McCormicks was our first stop for our groups night out and we couldn't have chosen a better spot. Most of our group ordered the filet and it was excellent. We also ordered the espresso martinis table side and that was a great presentation and experience. The east coast oyster variety was excellent, very high quality and we loved the special touch of the jalapeño flavored shaved ice topping. We will definitely visit again. The service was excellent and the restaraunt is walking distance from nearby bars.
My husband had my 70th Birthday Dinner at M&S Fannin street last Saturday October 18, 2025. It was the best time ever. The ambience, food and my sister-in-law Dyanne arranged for a lady to do the most beautiful decoration ever. If I could give more stars I would. I highly recommend you giving your dinner parties there. Thank you Guy for all your help in making my ever special.
I went on a Taco Tuesday happy hour and I was amazed . Great service by the gentleman behind the bar . The tacos were exceptional, I tried both shrimp and cod tacos. Slight edge to the shrimp tacos but both had their own unique flavor and were fantastic. All fresh ingredients with the sauce and made it all come together for a spectacular bite. Only $3 a piece was an insane deal ! Don’t miss the happy hour ! Check the pics ,margarita’s were perfectly balanced with fresh lime juice
The food was phenomenal. The steaks were cooked and seasoned appropriately. Lorenzo our waiter was outstanding. He kept checking our table to make sure we had what we wanted. Thomas the manager also came to our table to make sure our needs were met. Give this place a try. You won't be disappointed 😌.
April 2025 Update: made a reservation and noted that we had an anniversary. The manager (Richard) went out of his way to have a vase of flowers on our table, personalized menus and came by to thank us for being loyal LSC members. Great service. Great food. Highly recommend their 2 course meal for $35. The pork chop and salad is spectacular. The upside down apple pie never disappoints The style of this place is nicer than the others. Not busy on the weekend. Service is reasonably quick. The managers (Thomas and Richard) are friendly. The 50/50/50 menu is really really good. The 50th anniversary wine special was good. The booths by the windows with the curtains is the way to go. Privacy in a big restaurant. We have been looking for a nice place to get a meal in town after an event, I think this will be it.

Manger Toni was great and made sure we had everything we needed. very friendly and personable. Jameson Irish Whiskey salmon was 10 out of 10
We were looking for a light dinner so instead of ordering M&S signature steaks, we opted for a round of appetizers and salads. We were not disappointed. Excellent experience.
Had a great experience. Food was delicious and hot when it was brung to our table! Staff very attentive to our needs and we loved the extra personal touches
Great family dinner. They were very accommodating of our elementary-aged kids, with a kids menu and crayons. The grown up meals were good. Especially liked the cedar plank salmon.
Overall the service was great. Our waiter Calif was extremely attentive. 4 stars on the food, because my pork shop, although it was cooked to perfection, it was a bit bland, no flavor. It needed more spices. The fried shrimp platter was a bit over cooked. and one last thing, if you are going to order and oldfashioned, you have to order the smoked one which they serve to perfection, but if you get the regular one, it comes poorly served in crushed ice.(if you like old fashioneds, crushed ice is a no go). We had three different style oysters, delicious.
Hubby and I rolled into this place for our big “first-time” date night—because we’re in our 40s now and spontaneous means making a 6:30 reservation like responsible adults. Turned out to be hilariously unnecessary since the dining room was emptier than my willpower at a dessert cart. Only five other tables occupied, but hey, we had a plan and a booth by the window, so we were living large. The vibe is super chill and classy, perfect for people-watching. We spent a solid ten minutes entertained by some kid outside dramatically filming his F150 like it was about to drop a mixtape. Iconic. Our server Brian was an absolute gem—super personable, attentive, and clearly still in his training-wheels era. When Hubby ordered the smoked Old Fashioned, another server swooped in to demo the smoker thingy like Brian was performing open-heart surgery. Round two? Brian gave it the old college try, but the smoker gadget straight-up rebelled. Then who I assume was the manager materialized to “help,” which basically meant hovering and micromanaging poor Brian right in front of us. Bro, the thing wouldn’t light for the manager either, so it clearly wasn’t a Brian problem—it was a “this smoker hates all of us” problem. Brian, if you’re reading this: solidarity, king. I’ve had bosses literally breathe down my neck while I worked. That trauma is real. You still crushed it. Meanwhile, my lemon drop martinis? Flawless. Not too sweet, not too tart—just right. Goldilocks would have proposed on the spot. Food-wise? Lord have mercy. Started with the R.C. Ranch Wagyu Carpaccio—10/10, no notes. I legit licked the arugula clean like it was a side salad and I was a starving rabbit. My main: the M&S Grilled Oysters. Sweet baby Jesus, 20/10. I’ve been loyal to Rouxpour and Perry’s oysters for years, but these betrayed my past loves in the best way. Next-level sorcery. If I could time-travel, I’d slap past-me and order double oysters, skip everything else. OMFG. Also got the Prosciutto di Parma Flatbread—delicious, solid 9/10—but let’s be honest, rating it a full 10 would be straight-up disrespectful to those god-tier oysters. Hubby went with the R.C. Ranch Wagyu Steak Frites. Fries? Crispy perfection. Steak? Cooked like a dream. That pepper sauce though? Way too committed to the “pepper” part of its name. Bold, aggressive, borderline rude. He gives the whole plate a diplomatic 7/10. Overall, Brian and the food (especially those oysters) carried this place hard. We’ll absolutely be back—probably at 6:30 again, because old habits die hard.
Shrimp kisses were excellent!! Everything was great. My only complaint was the crabcake that was on the appetizer menu. It had a few pieces of avocado on top of it, but on the menu it said pico. I felt like it could’ve been presented better. I probably won’t order that again, but I am very picky with crabcakes. It’s one of my favorite things to try.
We had a fun time celebrating here for my little cousin's high school graduation. I just ordered a variety of appetizers and my daughter had a Caesar salad with chicken. She really liked the salad. I really loved the Brussels Sprouts, they were tangy and flavorful, just like I like them! I didn't enjoy the gumbo too much as I'm used to the New Orleans style! It barely had any seafood and I didn't see or taste any crab! The Strawberry Lemon Drop was delicious and pretty! They made the graduate feel SUPER SPECIAL by adding her name to the dinner menu!!! That was so awesome 😎. We got to keep it as a memento.
Great dining experience. Food was superb!! Service was a little slow. We almost missed our show.

I had came for a birthday dinner and truly the food wasnt very good for the price that was paid. My potatoes tasted like they were cooked in sea water- that's a crazy amount of salt. My steak was cooked wrong twice. The salad, cheesecake and ice cream were all amazing and the service was perfect; she was very attentive and constantly made sure our drinks were filled.
Hadn't been here in years & decided to stop by for food & drinks. Drinks were great, food was not my favorite. Started off with the Shrimp & Scallop Rockefeller & these looked like artichoke dip on a shell with the scallop under the artichoke spinach dip. These were quite good I ordered the Seafood Alfredo & the scallops were very tiny.. I imagined the scallops would be less and bigger in size. The pasta I received was the opposite several very small sized scallops. There was no shrimp & there was lobster bits. The other person ordered the 3 course meal the chosen items were Caesar Salad, Lobster Carbonara, Chocolate mousse pie. Caesar Salad had whole anchovies so that was a bit unpleasant Lobster Carbonara did not have much sauce or flavor which was surprising considering the pancetta The noodles itself were thicker than spaghetti noodle which was unpleasant, more sauce on pasta would be great. Interior is beautiful very classy and sophisticated, very clean. Service was amazing, very attentive, the hostess was very kind
I expected a wait because it is a holiday, but the service was horrible. We were able to drink the entire bottle Of wine, to clarify, over a hour and half before the appetizer came. When the food arrived, it was cold. Never got the complimentary bread even though I ask twice for it. I had to ask for water. We waited so long we asked for the desert to go because it had been about 2 hours into our stay already. I was charged a $0.90 “to go fee” on top of the bad service and cold food. This might be a good place on a Tuesday night, don’t go on a normal busy night, worse for a holiday.

On January 17th, I decided to treat myself to lunch. I sat at the bar and was served by the bartender Ziphion. He recommended the Parmesan Flounder paired with a glass of Chardonnay. It was the most delicious meal and the wine was an excellent pairing. The MOD gave me vouchers for appetizers to bring my significant other back to dine at M&S Uptown Park. I give the wine, food, and service on that day 5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Because of that first time experience, I decided to return on February 7th with my significant other for dinner. We were immediately greeted and taken to our seats by who we believed was the hostess but later found out she was the manager. The dining room was beautifully decorated, calming, and inviting. Soft lighting throughout the dining room, a small lamp on each table, and smooth R&B/jazz music playing softly. The atmosphere receives five star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We waited for at least 10 minutes to be greeted by our server, Edwin. By the time he greeted us, we had already made our selections for the entire meal. Both of us requested Black Tie Espressos. The appetizer was Artichoke Dip with Lump Crab. My date selected the Steak and Shrimp with the steak med-well and I selected Mahi Mahi with asparagus instead of sautéed spinach. The Black Tie Espressos came out but we were told at the time of them coming to the table that the cocktail couldn’t be smoked. It is best practice to ask the customer if they would like to make another drink selection if there’s an element of the drink that is missing. We wanted the smoke that was advertised with the drink. The saving grace is that the cocktail was still delicious. The appetizer came out next. Artichoke dip is a known favorite at several restaurants. It’s always a best seller because it’s hard to mess up. However, the dip tasted like artichoke mayonnaise dip with tuna instead of lump crab. We did not eat it. When the server came to inquire about the appetizer we informed him that we did not like it. He removed it but did not recommend a different appetizer or even inquire if we wanted another appetizer. The main course took longer to prepare because the kitchen ran out of mashed potatoes. We were made aware of this fact ahead of time and decided to wait on the mashed potatoes. We were giving an estimate time of 20 minutes. When the food arrived the steak was not cooked to my date’s satisfaction and I was still given sautéed spinach even though I asked for asparagus. The server took the steak back and went to get me asparagus. The Mahi Mahi was bland and the lump crab meat again tasted more like tuna than crab meat. When the steak was brought back out it was to my date’s satisfaction. However, the food overall lacked flavor. Toni, the manager came back to check on us. She noticed that I wasn’t eating and that my date was picking at his food. I provided her with our honest feedback and much to my date’s hesitation he provided his. We understand that servers can sometimes get overwhelmed if they have a large party or multiple tables to serve. So maybe the server may have just been off that night. We understand that the kitchen can have off nights as well. With that said, we will eventually try M&S again. Thank you Toni and Ziphion for upholding the excellence of the Landry’s brand.
Monday night, place was empty with only 9 tables of customers. Slowest service of my entire life. I placed my empty water glass by the edge of the table and our waiter walked by 3 times without acknowledging that we needed water. Ordered my steak medium rare and asked for it to be closer to rare. It came out overcooked like medium. I was so excited to eat here and what a disappointment it was. Go somewhere else.
Just finished our Thanksgiving dinner here. This will be our second try eating here with a group. I will preface that I don’t know if it was the back of the house or the front of the house that caused these issues. Service: Unfortunately, incredibly slow. Drinks were 10-15 mins in between. One of our guests spilt their drink and the waiter saw and walked off. No offer for napkins, no offer for assistance. We had support staff come over and fill our water but did not offer a napkin to help until we asked. No replacement napkins were offered. We had to go get napkins from the restroom. When checking out we were trying to apply our Landry’s Rewards Account and were instead being upsold on opening a new account. As the waiter approached with the receipt he replied, “Well I still need a card”. Of course we knew that and were waiting for the waiter to walk away and not stand over our shoulder while we reviewed the bill. Food: The Seafood Tower was underwhelming for the price. The Thanksgiving meal was very dry and under seasoned. The food felt very premade along with the pumpkin pie. The bread and butter came after 2 hours of the meal starting. Overall: I don’t think we will be returning. It took 3 hours for a lunch that started at 1PM.

I hate doing this, but I could’ve had better food at Luby’s! I wasted $150 on dry roasted pigeon, I meant chicken. Who messes up mac/cheese? The poor brussel sprouts were so hard, we tried to cut them with a steak knife. My son is a huge carnivore, he didn’t even want to finish his tough mignon. I cannot in good conscience recommend this place. Maybe it was the location because I hate to believe any of Tilman’s eateries are this crappy. I’m a Landry’s member. I’m so disappointed. I’m a nurse, I work very hard for my money, I didn’t have time to cook for Christmas because I got off at 7am. I’m so sad about this. As much as I love my fur son who’s 15 years old, he cannot come out and enjoy a meal with me at a public restaurant unless it’s meant for pets. ESA or OPP, animals have accidents and we don’t want to partake in such.
This is not fine dining. Save your money if fine dining is what you are looking for. It takes a lot for me to take the time to leave a negative review, but this experience was that bad. We waited an unreasonable amount of time just to place our drink order, waited forever for our food (over an hour) , and were barely checked on the entire night. Also, food itself was below average. For the amount of money spent, the service was absolutely not worth it. This was a company party, and sadly it was a completely different experience from what we had in 2024. Whatever standards this restaurant once had are gone. The staff clearly needs serious training in fine dining. Do not bring a company party or large group here, you will be very disappointed. Save your money and spend it elsewhere, or you’ll leave just as frustrated as we did. We will never be back.
Me and my family first time at this restaurant to celebrate my brother's birthday who came down to Houston from Garden City,Kansas na we made reservations for 10 people but we had 14 people and Manager say we have only 2 hrs to eat cause they had a reservation for 250 people at 6 pm but ask to leave at 6:30 and one of our guest came late and had place there order in and had to get it to go and as for the service was poorly we had about 3-5 servicer which they where not organized cause we had to ask for bread for table had to ask servicer to come take out orders servicer was all over the place and when had spent over 2,0000 dollars and where rushed out of facility and we had to move to patios which we did and as we left the restaurant we noticed there where no one seated at the table we were at and left the patio around 7:30 pm so don't understand why we had to leave and I have never been asked to let a restaurant before and I will never come back and will not refer anyone to this place. And also my brother has order a dish which has a big fly in it and we told the servicer about it all he said that he would bring him another dish no apology and mixed up tickets with orders that was not what you order. Unhappy guest
