Ordered online for pickup and was disappointed. What was shown online and the choices I put when ordering were not included. I put a pic of what I got versus what the salad looked like online. Half as full, was missing the scoop of hummus entirely, I specifically requested utensils (which was a free option I selected) and NOTHING. No napkin, no utensils, one small triangle of pita bread, and the salad size did not match what was advertised online. Presentation was poor. If I hadn't been on my short lunch break I would have gone back and said something. Very sad as I was excited to try something new, but then very disappointed at what I saw. Maybe this was a one off experience, but I'm not going back to find out.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. There was a line, but it seemed to go at a decent pace. If you don’t know what you want or you haven’t been there before try to look at the menu before it’s your turn. There are multiple servers that help you down the line. Some of the servers are friendly and generous and others are very focused and skimpy on the servings. The fast ones make feel like they’re mad at you while helping you. The music is quite obnoxious. Otherwise, food quality is good.

Customer Service needs to improve, especially the attitude and the demeanor of the employees. Each and every time I visit the customer service has been consistent, employees appear unhappy to be working there, hardly seen an attempt to crack a smile, looks robotic, lack of eye contact. Times when I went to pick up an online order no one would acknowledge my presence or approach to ask if I needed any assistance? The individuals working behind the grill would keep their heads down or would not engage or ask or get someone to assist. I have never ever seen someone identify themselves as a team lead, supervisor or manager who steps forward and observes if everything is running smoothly or if any customer needs assistance. This has to be addressed and improve and it can affect the bottom line of the business in the long run with other similar businesses vying for a share of the revenues and business.

I love Cava but this location is consistently disappointing. Orders are consistently wrong. Food is consistently over or under cooked. Staff is consistently slow. The line is consistently 15 ppl deep and moving at the speed of the slowest employee which… see above. I’ve been to this location four times and each time has been a year apart because I foolishly think they’ll have improved. Nope. Management - if you’re reading this, this is your issue. Do better. Edit: found a hair in my bowl. Cool. This place is a joke. I won’t be back.

Pretty sad about this. CAVA used to be so generous with their portions and fresh. Lately, the workers have been so skimpy with their portions! They scoop up the food, then shake as much as they can off to barely fit the scoop. Even though I asked for extra veggies to make up for it, the bowl was half way filled. I had to eat a snack afterward to get full, which is never the case normally. I'd used to never be able to finish a CAVA bowl. I'm going to rethink coming here.

I’m sorry but what kinda portions is this ?? Paying 16 dollars for a pick up order and I can see the bottom of the bowl before even taking my first bite. The rice was undercooked, we were charged for water, and the food was drenched in dressing. This is by far the worst CAVA location I’ve been to. Staff and cooks need better training. I don’t recommend this location—go to the one in Woodbury Town Center on Irvine Blvd. That’s the only one I’ve been to. However, I know for sure any other location but this one on Barranca will be good. This particular one is terrible for whatever reason (probably the manager since each CAVA is managed by a different manager and therefore varies in how clean, friendly, quick etc it is).

The cleanliness of this Irvine location is zero. Forget tables, the floors are sticky. I can only imagine how bad their kitchen would be. Like others have suggested, the portions are way less at this location. Tried it twice in different weeks and different days. It was the same experience. So not a one-off. The Fullerton location on Chapman is wayyy better in hospitality in general. Might as well drive there.

I am never usually motivated to write reviews, but the lack of proportions and costs of this location had warranted me to speak up. I can see from previous reviews that this is not a fairly new phenomenon. It’s rather disrespectful to consistently teach your staff to underserve proportions. If you’re going to give less, then make the bowls smaller so people aren’t mislead and it isn’t obvious that you’re underserving your patrons. Will not be bringing my family back to this location and I will me telling friends and family about how silly the prices are for 2/3 of a bowl. Do better Cava.

This location is notorious for skimping on their portions. I’m spending good money to get meals delivered, and what came today filled probably 1/4 of the bowl. They even put the sauce containers inside the bowl to waste even more space. I’ve given them many chances, but I cannot be silent about this. The owner needs to change something because this isn’t right.
