Look at in Woodbury, Irvine, this particular location is probably one of the largest with a high ceiling and plenty of seating. Very friendly staff always seems to have enough people working to help you out. 99% of the time I make my coffee from home because I perfected it but super clean water, but when I’m out and about I definitely enjoyed their coffee and I go to this particular location anytime I can help it during my travels. And I’m not just saying this because it’s close to home, it really is a large and clean and friendly place. Honestly, many of these locations are but this one seems to always be number one to me.

I love their chicken soup it’s my favorite thing in the world I actually pulled over to make a special trip here because I saw it was close by. The payment options are easy to place your order, then your hand of the pager if you order can’t be immediately fulfilled your choices of sides for soup are plentiful but I always opt for the Apple, chicken soup with an apple is pretty safe and is also super delicious but I’ve had many of their other offerings but I think the one thing I’m going to try is the new mango Yuzu citrus church lemonade! And the sandwich called “the spicy take “those are next on my list this place is very popular but they keep it clean and everybody was quite well prepared for a rush! Love this place for breakfast and lunch!

Panera bread is one of the best coffee shops in Irvine. My family and me prefer to spend the time and eating dinner in this place.

Have always loved Panera food items. Stopped by with a free cookie reward on my app and ordered 2 seasonal items: Strawberry Poppyseed Chicken Salad but with the Fuji Apple Chicken Salad dressing, was so good and refreshing on a hot day! Also tried their Mexican Sweet Corn Chowder - it was ok, not one of my favorite soup items on their menu. The atmosphere was a little crowded, lots of people hiding out inside from the heat so seating was a little bit of a wait around 2PM. I imagine it’s not always like this, just one of those fluke days!

Panera is very expensive for what you get. Small portions. That's why they give bread as a side to fill you up. Food is good just not worth the price

Panera Bread is tasty, especially the Southwest Chicken Ranch Salad! The amazingly designed and easy-to-use app also makes ordering and earning rewards a breeze. The location is also wonderful, but it is quite expensive. I was surprised when a little Asiago Bagel was almost $3. But, I recommend this restaurant for its healthy and delicious food, if you can afford it.

Tables were full and somewhat dirty. Order was incorrect - requested specific toppings removed from sandwich but came with it anyway. Ordered 2 French onion soups and neither came with croutons or Bread topping and were somewhat lukewarm not hot. Panera has been a favorite of ours but for $70 for dinner for 4 and orders being incorrect, we didn’t feel we got the value we paid for.

I’m a very regular Panera Bread customer and visit many different Panera locations almost daily, so I have a pretty good sense of the usual standard. Because of that, it was honestly surprising to see how different this Panera Bread location was compared to most others. When I walked in early in the morning, the atmosphere immediately felt negative. Two employees were standing behind the register and didn’t greet me or even acknowledge me. They didn’t bother looking up at all and simply ignored me. I had placed a mobile order, so I didn’t need assistance, but basic customer service like greeting customers should still happen. While I was waiting, another customer became clearly frustrated. He said he had placed his sandwich order about 20 minutes earlier and the app showed it as “ready,” but when he arrived it wasn’t ready at all. He was understandably upset. My own order ended up being delayed about seven minutes. Delays happen and that’s understandable, especially during busy times, but the store didn’t appear to be very busy. When I finally received my order, the breakfast sandwich was actually good — that was the only positive part of the experience. The coffee was another issue. None of the coffee was hot. At 7 a.m., when the store has basically just opened, you absolutely expect fresh, hot coffee. Serving lukewarm coffee that early in the morning is simply not acceptable. Overall, this Panera Bread location clearly needs improvement. Compared to many other Panera locations I visit, the difference in service quality here is noticeable. The lack of customer acknowledgment, inaccurate order readiness in the app, and cold coffee all point to operational issues that likely come down to management and training. I’m sharing this feedback because I visit Panera frequently and would really like to see this location meet the same standard as the others. I hope management takes a closer look and works with the team to improve the overall customer experience.

Ordered a large chai latte and the cup wasn't even half full. Asked for a correction but they said that's the correct level. $8 for a few sips? Not reasonable. It's always been full before.

Absolutely terrible service and zero customer satisfaction. The manager is very unknowable and definitely not helpful. I live neighborhood to this Panera, but I've never experienced such disrespect before. You pick two bowls of soup and they only give you one slice of bread on the side. If you want another slice of bread, they charge you $3. How can this be considered a promotion? I've seen managers at other Paneras who resolve issues, but this manager was disrespectful, saying "if you don't want it, cancel it" instead of explaining. I've ordered "you pick two" before and always received two slices of bread for two bowls of soup. That's why I was surprised. The manager could have given me an extra slice of bread as a gift and explained the situation, but she was disrespectful. I took my receipt to the cashier to cancel it. My child was with me. Unfortunately, there is no interest at this Panera, the restrooms are always dirty, and the manager only acts like an accountant; there is absolutely no customer satisfaction.

I’m a long time Panera customer since they were in he east coast long before they made their way to California, horrible experience, there was a gentleman in front of me in the line waiting patiently for a food 10 min while no one stepped up to take orders, the only person that was there looked like she was the manager, she was cleaning with the broom and wearing gloves, she finally took time to take an order from the gentleman in front of me, when I noticed she handed him the order with her cleaning gloves still on. When it was my turn, I ordered then politely asked her to change her gloves before handling my order since she was cleaning and had not replaced or removed the dirty gloves, she made me repeat myself 3 times while giving me major attitude while she was the one committing a slew of health code violations. I have news for you dirty gloves lady, if you take on a customer service position you need to damned well serve the customer and not smother him bad with attitude, I understand some customers are not easy, but I should not be put in a position to ask you to remove or replace your dirty gloves, that’s bare minimum care, or lack thereof

Extremely disappointing food and terrible service. I have been visiting this Panera very frequently over the past few years, and I liked it, no complaints. However, everything changes today. I ordered two half sandwich, but the size is only 3/5 as before. A lady of the restaurant insisted that this is normal. They also total ignored my customization request of the sandwich. The fruit cup contains melons with gray color. The broccoli soup barely has any broccoli inside. And the attitude of the lady - and another employee — just made things even worse. I don’t feel being respected. Everything is not right in every possible way. I cannot stop wondering whether they changed the owner, or changed the value, or plan to quit the trusted Woodbury neighborhood?

Do not go to this Panera! We paid $40 for two tiny soap and a small bowl of salad, the price is just ridiculous and I would never come again. I could get more food from Erewhon with the price I paid at this stupid place.

Food is underserved and overcharged, and not at all hygienic. They served me a ginger ale full of bread and other unknown food particles, and refused to accept responsibility. Go to Boudin if you want something like Panera with proper hygiene.

Since I came to the United States, I've found people to be friendly and kind. However, today's experience left me disheartened. A person who appeared to be a manager of this establishment was loudly ordering customers who had purchased drinks but not food to leave the café, prohibiting them from studying or working there. He did not present any valid policies or rules, acting more like a dictator, driving out customers who hadn't spent enough money. This behavior made me feel disgusted. In a country like the U.S., where democracy and human rights are valued, encountering someone like this is extremely disappointing.

good location but poor quality of food. I ordered strawberry poppyseed chicken salad on Monday morning. The salad is not fresh at all. The picture shows it all. If the food quality looks like this, the Panera Woodbury should throw in away not selling it to customers.

My company uses Panera as a meeting place at the end of our shifts in other states. New to this area. We used this Panera at the end of our day yesterday and were confronted by employees to either buy something or leave. The employees continued by insulting us by saying we were stinking up the place. They were vacuuming against people’s feet and talking trash to people. Name calling and such. One of the our managers bought several sodas and we asked to speak with a manager, who came out and apologized and told us we were fine and could stay. We came back tonight. The first thing I did when I entered was go to the counter to order some cream of chicken and wild rice. I was told they were out so i didn’t order anything. I went to the table were everyone was meeting to end their day. The same group a young employee that worked the day before approached us and told us we had ten minutes to leave or they would call the cops we asked to speak to the manager again they said he was off and that he said we could not use the tables. We told them he said we could last night and we were here long after speaking with him. After they call the cops they continued to talk trash to us. Calling people fat and other such childish things. It felt racially aimed as most of the employees in our group are people of color. We left when the police arrived. We will be reaching out to their corporate offices. This is not the Panera experience I am used to. Judging from the lack of response from the business itself and the multitude of similar complaints at this location from people using their table for work or school they really should post some signs near or on the tables they can point to when they are removing their guests for not buying anything or bringing in food or drinks from other locations nearby.

I've placed many orders at this location in the past, and I've observed the quality significantly drop over time. However, after today, I'm done with this location. Firstly, 1/3 of my order was missing. Then, when I tried to use my refund, I still had to pay the delivery fee despite the original order having free delivery. Secondly, there was hair in the salad we'd ordered. Absolutely unacceptable.

I came here with friends to study and was really disappointed by how the manager treated us. We sat at a larger table however it was appropriate given that there was 5 of us sitting at a table for 4. We had laptops and books we were already crammed together. Although we had ordered food and drink, the manager told us it wasn’t enough to justify taking up the table, he repeatedly told us to move to a smaller table, even after we moved to a smaller table the first time they asked. The treatment we received made little sense given our cooperation and understanding. There was no policy explicitly shown which would have notified us about this. I would understand this behavior if there was a dinner rush however there were many available seating options. We weren’t being disruptive at all, but the way the situation was handled felt unnecessarily rude and overall made me feel embarrassed. I’ve always thought of Panera as a comfortable place to relax or get work done, but this experience really changed that. A little courtesy and clear communication would have made all the difference
