This was such a surprise, didn't expect this in Isla Vista but this place has excellent sushi rolls. The service is great but the rolls were even better.

My family and I love ordering from this place. The food is always on point. It never disappoints and the girls are very friendly.

(VEGAN) That was the BEST avocado roll I’ve ever had in my life ( and I’ve been having them since I was little since they’re my favorite food.) It was the largest version of them I’ve ever had and I loved it!

Great staff, very courteous. It was a bit warm on the day we visited and we were brought out a sun shade umbrella and an extra table. Great food, the salmon appetizer is delicious.

This is a small Japanese restaurant. And they do some of Korean food too. We ordered several dishes. All of the dishes , which we ordered, were very good.

Excellent fresh sushi and other dishes (Japanese, Korean, etc.) that were most enjoyable. Definitely going back! Try the Kimchi Fried Rice if you like something spicy and new for your palate 😀

Ive been here so many times and I promise you the quality is better than any expensive nice ambience sushi restaurant in downtown SB and all inexpensive ones combined. I just keep coming back every chance i get to make the 5hr drive. Delicious! I've had several of the menu items and have enjoyed all of them, thou, for me the sushiya is my favorite roll (i do ask for slices of lemon to be added on top thou 😁, i get spiiled 😍). On a side note, the place is kept clean, i added a panoramic photo of the restaurant and the restroom. Both are pleasing.

But to our surprise when the owner found out my daughter was moving there by herself she offered her cell number in case she ever needed any help or have questions about anything. This was such a heartwarming gesture that we felt so grateful. Warm hearted owner with compassion for others no wonder the food tasted so good.

Sushi is really fragile and the ramen is decent. Overall the food is okay but not really remarkable. Cucumber roll is kinda sad though.

Good food but way overpriced and pretty bad service. It's a sit down restaurant which costs three times that of any restaurant in IV but they don't even serve you.

Ordered the shoyu ramen with a side of gyoza (total was $30). Spending $30 for a bowl of ramen and an appetizer, I was expecting a lot more than what I got… Ramen was pretty bland and gyoza, although not bad, did not justify the price. The lady helping me out also didn’t know much. I asked if any meat came with the ramen, and she said no. I then pointed out one of their own pictures showing meat coming with it, and she then corrected herself. The astounding part was the fact that they served shin ramen for $10… I asked her about it, and this happens to be the same exact packaged ramen that you can buy and make yourself for 50 cents a packet. If you are going to charge this much for food, you can make it better quality! I recommend to skip this place entirely and head to Nikka ramen in goleta downtown—you will not regret it!

I have ordered from here numerous times. Every single time they take at least 30 minutes longer than the expected time to make the food. Last night, my food was supposed to be ready at 8pm and I stood in the restaurant until 9:10pm before I got my food (after their closing time of 9) and nobody was able to offer me any form of refund or answers on when my food is ready. Do NOT order from this place. I am done wasting my money there.

Unpleasant service and food. Managers were shouting at the server in front of all the customers. The so called ‘family-owned’ restaurant treats their server like this. Very disappointed.

We where visiting SB and someone recommended us this place,but oh boy.horrible.food was not good at all,it was super hot inside,food didn't look fresh.and the price,men we paid over $90 for bad service and bad food.would never go again or recommend it to anyone
