This location is unique When it comes with how they attend their customers How ever. I'm Sad to say that I will be missing my Dear friend Rest in peace Mr Carlos the Man I meet at the restaurant who was in charge of the place as manager. Descansa en Paz mi Hermano
Great restaurant, may have to wait for a table at certain times but it does pay off with delicious food that may very well be the few places that feels like home-cooked food.
I placed an order today for delivery 🚚.My food was warm and delicious. The soup 🍲 excellent 👌 and my rice and beans very good. I usually eat at the restaurant but today I wanted to eat at home. The delivery guy very friendly 😀 I'm happy
My Go-To Spot for Colombian Flavor! Pollo Mario is hands down one of my favorite places to eat! The first time I came here to try Colombian food, I was a little nervous—I’m Dominican and super picky with my taste—but the food was absolutely delicious. It completely won me over! I don’t come often, but every time I do, I leave satisfied. The portions are generous, the flavor is on point, and the service has always been welcoming. It’s one of those spots where you know what you’re getting—great food and a good experience every time. If you’re looking to try something new or already love Colombian cuisine, Pollo Mario is a must. It’s officially my go-to restaurant when I’m craving something flavorful and filling.
Pollos Mario has a very traditional Colombian criollo atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. I stopped by to get a roasted chicken to go, and the experience was excellent. The chicken was delicious, juicy, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. Definitely a place I recommend if you want to enjoy authentic roasted chicken.
The Location Is Pretty Much A Landmark. I Have Ate Every Item On The Menu. Its all Great!! Lots Of Comfort Food And Very Soulful. The Prices I Would Say Are Reasonable Due To Everything Always Being Fresh And Made On The Fly. The Abient Is Clean And The Staff Is Very Friendly. There's Never A Bad Time For Pollos Mario. They Accept Credit Card, Which Is Major Now-a-Days. A Picture is Provided For Every Item On The Menu. There Are Two More Smaller Ones Walking Distances From Each Other.
We went here for Chicken. It was delicious and really reasonable prices. The place is clean and neat, bathrooms were clean. They have a sister place on Long Island and it is very different. We live close to the one on long island. Columbian Chicken is really good. I really enjoyed myself.
I was here twice in my life, once about a decade ago, and again this week. The food, well you better get ready to eat, because the plates are absolutely massive! Pricing is fair but it's worth it. Our server was really helpful I had the Bandeja típica, which consisted of bistek, pork belly, rice, beans, plantain, and arepa. Everything was delicious! I ordered myself a lulo, sorry if the spelling is wrong, for a drink, it was really tasty and filling. I definitely recommend coming here if your in NYC, and want some local cuisine straight from the barrio!
Today my friend and I went to POLLOS A LA BRASA MARIO #2. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The lighting and atmosphere are great. They have outdoors seating and limited indoors seating. As we enter the door our temperature were checked, we were given a printed form to write our names, address and phone# for contact tracing . I appreciate the amount of precautions they are taking to prevent the spread of Covid-19 during this unprecedented time. The food were delicious and the portion size were very good. I recommend this place for some comfort colombian food.
Excellent authentic Colombian food ! They have many typical dishes from Colombia . Their rotisserie style chicken is amazing ! My favorite is their Bandeja tipica , which comes with steak , rice , beans , pork , and an egg . I been eating at this restaurant for over a decade Never been disappointed .
Usually always good food here. There are a few locations and all of them cook about the same quality of food. The food came out crazy fast and the service was on point. 44 dolls for 2 people is pretty cheap considering NYC prices. Update...Fri August 28. I'm not taking away any stars but we ordered similar food items as last time and both came out way over cooked and almost black in color. I should of returned it but I ate most of it anyway because I thought it would be ok but it wasn't. Next time please if the food is that burnt don't serve it to the customer because it ruined the good first time I had.
This is a happy spot, don’t expect anything fancy, you come in for Spanish food and good drinks. Service here a hit or miss. Sometimes the server forgets that they have a table 😂 but then they see you and run to you. It has happen to me more than twice. It wasn’t busy. But the guy was friendly and don’t forget anything on the order. Food is ok for what you pay, big portions. Only thin with the food was that the beans sauce was too watery and the salad look like it wilted a few days ago. Other than that the rest of the food was on par. Alcohol drinks here are good, same with the natural juices they sell. I’ll come back again hoping the server don’t forget his clients 😂
It's a nice place to have a casual dinner in a typical Colombian restaurant. The portions are large and the prices are reasonable. The only problem here is the service is not on point. You always have to call the waitress for things they should already be doing. Other than that great value for the price.
My family and I been visiting this restaurant for almost 10 years. last night we decided to go for dinner but we are so disappointed with the service we received from the waitress, unfortunately she had a passive aggressive attitude and seemed to get annoyed when we requested few things like lime which she said they only had one left, hot sauce, etc. my sisters plate (grilled chicken breast) arrived super late without any apology. The food was okay but we won’t be visiting or recommending this place again.
I ordered for pickup cause I lived far and I was passing through. When I got home I was so disappointed. It was 30$ for piles of yuca and potatoes and I called to see what they could do for me, and the manager said maybe the meat was under everything 🙄🙄 even after sending them this video. They give the worst food when it’s for pickup and they don’t care. Wouldn’t come back here again and wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
