Had lunch the other day at Bernadette's Bistro! What a gem! I ordered the endive salad. It was endive beautifully laid out with moist, perfectly seasoned sliced chicken, caramelized onions, blue cheese crumbles, pecans and thinly sliced green apples in a Dijon vinaigrette. Absolutely delicious!

Decided to walk in for dinner and give it a try. My dad got the Veal and I got the Duck Confit. Oh my gosh! It was so delicious! And the meals were plated beautifully as well. I left very satisfied. Will go back for sure!

Came for dinner and the atmosphere was so relaxed and chill. Had the short ribs, braised lamb shank and white bean soup. All was very delicious with very generous portions

Great meal. Started with endive salad with blue cheese. Quite good. We had seared tuna and French chicken - both were really fabulous. It was so nice and quiet with pleasant music. Super relaxing, while feeling quite upscale. Creme brûlée was excellent. Overall a super evening. Would go back in an instant. Exciting to see a somewhat new place doing so well.

This is a truly wonderful restaurant! We had dinner there two weekends ago. The food (We split an endive salad, I had a terrific tuna dish in a sweet/spicy but not too sweet or spicy chili sauce; my husband had a rich but not too rich chicken dish with mustrooms in a cream sauce, apple tartan with vanilla ice cream dessert) was outstanding in every way; fresh, skillfully prepared, amply portioned, and artfully presented. Our host/server Max was delightful, and added to the wonderful experience, answering our questions and advising while being very entertaining and professionally personable. The glass of rose I had was excellent. The ambiance is great; I love older buildings that have been been renovated well, and this is a great physical space. Last but not least, while not inexpensive, we were pleasantly surprised at the check. The food and experience were far betterr than many places that cost 20-60% more. We will return! You won’t be disappointed.

Hidden gem. Spectacular food & beverages in a cozy atmosphere. Kitchen is spotless and executive chef is probably the best in Kingston. Staff is really great too. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Had a great dinner at Bernadette's last night. This was a nice surprise on a quiet night, food and service were spot on, pricing fair, and nice space in uptown. Happy to recommend.

Fresh and quality food, just not to my and to my daughter's taste. Still we enjoyed of meal due to charm of the place! Very pleasant staff and very nice atmosphere - design , space and music!

My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and we couldn’t have been happier with choosing Bernadette’s for dinner. The food was fresh and tasted amazing. Our server was extremely nice and attentive, I wish I got his name. We will absolutely be back.

We waited for more then an hour… after a wait of 35 min, we decided to go somewhere else, but the waiter (that was nice, and I don’t think it was his fault) told us the food is coming in “a few min”. We waited anther 25 min to hear that “we are next”. At that point most of the places around were about to close and we stayed. At the end the food came after 1:15 hours. Maybe something happened that evening (all the customers got the same responses), nevertheless, I expect to a different service for the least. They can offer something while we waited that ready or maybe something to drink, desert, bread, anything… at the very least to tell us that it’s will take another 30-40 min and not “few more minutes”. At the end, although the food was good , the experience was awful…

Great music. Service friendly and attentive. Food was disappointing. Shrimp was overcooked, steak was full of gristle. Fries were bland, undercooked and lukewarm. Veal was bland and over sauced. Creme brûlée was good. Expensive and not worth the money.
