Have been here several times. Have ordered the chilean sea bass, different steaks but usually order the butcher's board. Butchers board is good for 2-3 people. Have yet to be disappointed with the butcher's board or with the restaurant. Good service and atmosphere. Update: dined here Saturday, January 25, 2025. As stated before, have been here several times, but this last time, the service was not very good. Had to ask for drinks and wait several minutes to have them brought to the table. Asked for two drinks and they never came so we canceled them. Food also came out slowly. It was busy, but service could have been better. The food though was excellent. I will still go back and hopefully there will be better service. Returned again and food was excellent. Disappointed that they no longer offer the butcher board. Give the crab fingers a try. They were excellent.

By far the best place in the Kingwood area for dinner, drinks, and apps. Our server (Alpha) was amazing. She offered suggestions and was very attentive without being overbearing. This was our second time here and the food (steak, seafood, and sides) are all on point. The place is decorated well, very clean and gives a classic steakhouse vibe without being pretentious. 100% recommend and will be back.

Valentine’s Prix Fixe Night Wonderful dark wood walls up to vaulted ceilings. Windows views of the lake. Floor to ceiling glass cases and wall art. Cozy romantic atmosphere. South American flare on a variety of meats and fish. This is not our first trip, just first review. Raul, our server, was kind, attentive, and his rich accent really set the mood. You feel royal in the treatment by the staff. “Cupid Wings” splayed deep fried drumsticks, ornate and richly battered, with blue cheese sauce. Fresh crispy, sweet, orange bites in a mixed green salad, vinaigrette. Stellar Peruvian sweet corn soup, the star of the evening in my opinion. Silky, full flavored, original mixture of spices and roasted corn flavor…6 stars. 4 oz. Beef Medallion (supreme soft texture, subtle grilled flavor with a hint of char) Rainbow Trout, my favorite swimmer, beurre blanc sauce (think, very light roux) Alforjores (dense short bread like cookies filled with dulce de leche sweet cream. We added a cappuccino, and the dark cinnamon strip across the foam tastes of hickory smoke, so original it took me to a foreign clime. We love this restaurant. One of the few places where service still makes you feel cared for. Lovely quant board walk lakeside behind the restaurant, in line with several other restaurants. Do add this place to your list!

Buffalo Soldier

Great tasting and affordable lunch special. $20 for a starter, entree, and dessert. I tried the salmon and the steak and it was amazing. They also bring you plantain chips with a dip before you order your food. Ambiance is superb and every single dish I tried was full of flavor. The ceviche soup and flan were my two choices with the steak. You won't regret! Only minor issue is service is a bit slow. Had to wait long for a party of three's food. Almost no one in the restaurant and to get the check we had get up from the table and find the waiter. I understand it's Latin culture to eat and dine slowly but not everyone in Texas abides by this.

We had an Amazing experience at Chimichurri’s Had a reservation for 7p but was running late, called to advise the hostess and they saved our table (was about 20min late) They gave us a great table with a view of Lake Houston and the sunset. The table was set for 4 but the other two settings were promptly removed. A wine menu was provided as we were seated. A rectangular plate with plantains and chimichurri sauce was provided David , our waiter was prompt, friendly and professional We ordered a bottle of wine that David suggested, it was great, paired well with the salad and our meals. We shared a beet salad. As an adult (48) ive never had beets was two traumatized as a child. This was very good. Layered with what we guessed was a sweetened cheese, like cream cheese, garnished with micro greens and d pistachios. Entrees: I ordered a plate that came with beef, chorizo, chicken and pork The beef was very good, the chorizo was outstanding, the chicken was ok and the pork chop was dry and over cooked. GF: ordered a chicken dish that sat upon puree sweet potatoes, the chicken was cooked perfectly. We were given complimentary roasted veggies, zucchini, and carrots 🥕… those carrots wow. For dessert we ordered the chocolate chip tres leches. I think I’m kind of a tres leches snob… this was ok, it was chocolate tres leches and I believe we found to choc chips in it. It was a little dry. Over all fantastic evening, looking forward to going back

We went here for our anniversary dinner and the service was phenomenal. Unfortunately it was raining so we couldn’t enjoy the view of Lake Houston. They brought out complimentary fried plantains to start us out and a plate of grilled veggies. My favorite of the night were the arepitas! The beef was braised and seasoned to perfection! Will definitely come back for a date night.

Great spot to take out your significant other. The food is amazing and the servers are on point. I would highly recommend it. We had several other items in the menu but they were so delicious that we ate them before we took a picture. Definitely coming back.

I can not say enough wonderful things about this restaurant. The attention to detail is just excellent. From the minute you walk in you are greeted by an absolute beautifully decorated restaurant with gorgeous chandeliers, mirrors, and floor to ceiling windows that look onto lake Houston. customer service is top notch. Hostess was professional, kind, and welcoming and all the waiters were hard working and impressive. The entire menu is so mouth watering we had the hardest time figuring out what to order because everything sounded so amazing. We finally decided on the 8oz filet cooked perfectly medium rare, plantain crusted chicken, and the snapper with scallops. A side of the most delicious mashed potatoes I've ever had, large fat asparagus, and lump crab meat. For dessert, the chocolate torte, which reminded me more of a chocolate tres leches, and the sample trio of sorbets. Everything was just amazing.

Very professional and friendly staff. Food was extremely delicious. But we had to wait for over an hour for our food. The Parrillada Argentina was excellent, and I would say two people can share it. And the T-Bone Steak Special for two was also a popular one on our table.

The ambiance was great and inviting from the moment we enter the restaurant. Although our waitress was a little inattentive and seemed annoyed overall with out table of two, most of the staff was friendly and very professional. The hostess was super sweet and attentive. The manager was very attentive and checked on us several times and made sure we got what we needed. The food had good flavor, great presentation and the portions were fair. We had the queso frito for appetizer, which was creamy and great to start with. We order the Pechuga crujiente and the Pollo criollo, and both were full of different flavors that combined well together. For dessert we ordered the torrejas and the dessert called " no thank you" and both were delicious. The bathrooms are very clean and cozy, and candles on every table make the ambiance feel very relaxed. Overall, we enjoyed our time and hopefully we'll be back soon.

Went for a Valentine's Day dinner. Power went off for less than a minute. After our meal, our waiter explained we couldn't order dessert, then offered dessert and part of a meal comped to the table next to us. Not great treatment. For as much as we spent, some coffee and a dessert would have been a nice touch

A group of 7, everyone’s meal was hot and prompt. Mine however, showed up after almost 20 minutes. The food was warm at best and the frites were rock hard. Was happy for the others, but sad for myself.

Go somewhere else! Ruth Chris, Steak 48, even saltgrass is better than this place. Great service, great cut of steak, horrible cook.... just horrible! Will never come back! Steak was way overcooked the first time and cooked right the second time but zero flavor. Like zero! Great example of a place people would go to feel special. Go somewhere else to feel special... please! Seriously a 14 dollar HEB steak that you cook on the grill is better than this place. Had a birthday party there and spent over 700 dollars... when we all walked to the car nobody was saying that was good.... just disappointment all around. Please go somewhere else!
