Restaurante céntrico situado en un entresuelo. El local es sobrio, de elegancia clásica y bien cuidado. El servicio fue profesional, amable, educado y simpático, es decir, perfecto. Los tempos también excelentes. Respecto a la comida destacan en la carta las diferentes preparaciones del bacalao. Las presentaciones tirando a clásicas con alguna excepción. En nuestro caso en los entrantes destaca el carpaccio de bonito que nos sugirieron, bueno aunque le faltaba un poco de punch. Los diferentes platos de bacalao más que correctos, muy buenos en general, destacando el milhojas de bacalao y centollo. Los postres sabrosos y presentados de forma más moderna. De precio no resulta barato pero si acorde al servicio y el producto. Buen y recomendable sitio.

Viendo los reviews de Google Maps fuimos a dar a este sitio. No teniamos reserva pero se dio la casualidad que hubo una cancelacion a ultima hora y nos pudieron dar una mesa. El servicio ESPECTACULAR. El restaurante tiene muy buen ambiente y es acogedor. La comida fantastica, comimos a base de buen producto leones, no podeis ir a este sitio y no pedir su cecina. Siempre es un placer volver a uno de los restaurantes con más esencia de León. Comida rica, elaboraciones perfectas y producto de 10. Aún con todo eso, creo que me quedo con el servicio, con una atención extraordinaria que mezcla a la perfección cariño y profesionalidad. It's the third visit to Leon, and now I had the best experience here, at Restaurante Alfonso Valderas. We were very lucky to have a free table on the first day of January. You can call before and reserve a table, I recommend that. Please think about your stay, take time for a long time because the dishes are magnificent, especially bacalao/codfish. Choose all the starters and share - you will be happy. They have a great list of wines, I recommend El Medico (even though it is red dry and you want to order fish). Thanks Mr for that great experience!

A great experience, with a special mention to the cod in all its forms. We ordered the pio pil, their creamy millefeuille dessert with apple compote, which was incredible. A 10/10 service in a quiet, elegant, and well-located restaurant. Congratulations.

Simply perfect, everything, the place is spotless, the music very well chosen and pleasant, complementing the setting. The potato cream and lamb appetizer was very good. The tomatoes, as seen in the photo, were impeccable, full of flavor, and looked luxurious. The octopus millefeuille was super good and well presented, a good hand in the kitchen 😜. The chops had a very good flavor, but those two peppers were crazy. I don't know if you did something to them or if they're natural, but I need them... And not much to say about the cod; it's their specialty, and it shows. The one with green mojo sauce that I ordered isn't for everyone, but if you like the taste of cilantro, order it; and the spider crab is also amazing. Desserts, the torrija is definitely a must-order, there's no shortage. I also ordered a mandarin and citrus sorbet, but it's not always available, so good luck if you go and it's still there. I just have to say to Carlota and Raquel that you're doing fantastic. Keep it up and we'll be back soon!!!

Magnificent! Salad with homegrown tomatoes, cod au gratin with Valdeón cheese, grilled wild grouper, orange French toast, and puff pastry with cream and apple. I didn't lick the dishes out of politeness! 💯 Recommended!

An amazing restaurant. Delicious food. Friendly service. Excellent wine list. Great desserts. You cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. Very traditional Leonese. Very much a locals place, which is great given some of the high concentration of tourists at other establishments. Reservations are strongly recommended to the point of being a necessity.

We had a fantastic dinner, a truly wonderful experience. There were six of us, and we ordered two portions of cured beef, cod (the house specialty), and two T-bone steaks, all accompanied by wine. The restaurant is top-notch in terms of service and facilities. A must-visit if you're in León and want to enjoy a great meal. Price: €50 per person.

Impeccable service, fabulous food, friendly and relaxed ambience. Felt a little daunted with my poor Spanish, which has led to some difficult experiences at other restaurants but we were put right at ease here and had a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I'd happily revisit Leon just to eat here again.

A long-standing restaurant located on the mezzanine/first floor of a centrally located building, next to San Marcelo Beach. The dining room is spacious and classic. The menu is very traditional, especially specializing in cod and some meat dishes. Everything is generally delicious. Good service and average prices for León.
