Always have a good meal here and theres always kid friendly options. This restaurant opposite Waterloo is our favoured choice when travelling up to London. I absolutely love the set meals as they often introduce you to dishes you may not have tried. We were served by Melanie, was super friendly and helped us pick out some tasty options. I had the Wahaca for one (pictured - unfortunately I couldn't resist the pork pibil taco).
Wahaca Waterloo really surprised me in the best way. The food and drinks were great, but what stood out the most was the staff. They were incredibly friendly, welcoming and genuinely made the whole experience better. You can feel they really care about giving good service. I would definitely come back just because of them — they made the visit memorable.
On our Recent visit to London we stopped by for some dinner at this restaurant. I must say wasn't sure at first but when we got in and sat down and looked at the menu it was very good. The atmosphere was very nice, service was excellent and food/drinks was great. I would 100% recommend this place if your ever passing by and love Tacos, burritos & Quesadillas.
I hadn’t been to Wahaca in years and I remembered it being pretty nice. I went to this place with a couple friends and I really enjoyed my burrito, I thought it was very tasty and filling. The sweet potato bravas I were really good as well. It’s a nice atmosphere and the service was good. The staff friendly, in particular our server Abhinav. I wouldn’t mind to go back to this place.
Lovely place to visit at the heart of London. I went there with my work colleagues for a team building, and we had a great time. A piece of Mexico at the city centre. The service was outstanding. I felt in love with they food, all fresh, colourful and tasty, especially their guacamole 👌👌👌 Highly recommended💛💛💛
Amazing service and such a lovely vibe! The indoors are beautifully done—warm and inviting. The food was fantastic with plenty of great vegetarian options. I had the picante margarita, which was absolutely mind-blowing—highly recommend it. The tacos were delicious too, especially the halloumi and pineapple salsa tacos, definitely worth trying. They also have a great list of alcohol to choose from. All in all, a wonderful experience and I’m already planning to go back very soon!
It was absolutely great! Looks very small from outside but leads to a huge downstairs sitting area with great atmosphere. The food itself was very nice and the sharing many smaller plates option quite convenient ( you can also order one big dish if you’re not into sharing ). Our server was really kind and we even got a dish for free because the kitchen made one too many, very grateful for that :) Really recommend to anyone looking for a good spin on modern Mexican food with well econ. sourced foods. Would definitely come back!
Absolutely amazing Mexican food! Everything was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. The tacos were packed with tender, juicy meat, and the salsa had just the right kick. The guacamole tasted homemade and creamy, and the margaritas were refreshing and well balanced. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt warm and welcoming.
Had such a lovely experience at Wahaca Waterloo. Food was divine, atmosphere was great, service was fantastic - Melanie was so lovely and went above and beyond to ensure we both had a great time. Will absolutely be back soon!
An outstanding experience. Our first trip to Wahaca and we weren’t disappointed. Decided to visit for a birthday and had an excellent time from entry to exit. The welcome, the seating and atmosphere were outstanding. Took advice from Christian S on menu choices and he didn’t disappoint. We tried everything from Tacos and Burritos to the amazing tiramisu. If you’ve not been, go! You will not be disappointed. We will return. Thank you Christian.
I loved the cusine, rich flavour and great presentation. place is quite loud and crowded but I went on a Saturday evening so that no surprise. service was great. polite, welcoming and patient staff. I think one in particular named Indiana helped a great deal with recommendations, fast service and footing the bill. would recommend and would definitely come back🙂
Visiting London for a birthday with my partner and decided to come here to try it. Our waitress was Indi; she was lovely and excellent, we had an amazing time and really enjoyed ourselves. She recommended the churros with chocolate and they were absolutely gorgeous. Will definitely be coming back when we next come down to London!
What a pleasant surprise! This chain is sometimes thought of as a nicer version of fast food but this branch was an actual restaurant. Great variety with unique options ( the bowls are great) service could have been more attentive but overall it was good. We enjoyed a family meal very much.
The Pork Tacos are delicious, and my favourite, but my daughter loved the beef. Great, friendly and attentive service :) been meaning to come for years and I wasn’t disappointed! Decor could do with a refresh but when the food tastes this good, who cares! Our server, Kinga, was lovely and anticipated our every need. Loved it! 😍
I recently ate at Wahaca Waterloo and had a really enjoyable meal. The baja fish tacos were easily the highlight — crispy, fresh, and nicely balanced with the chipotle mayo. I also ordered their guacamole with tortilla chips, which tasted freshly made and worked well as a starter. The small-plate style makes it easy to try a few things. It was a bit busy when I went, but the atmosphere felt lively and the service stayed friendly throughout.
Food is tasty. Interesting deco. A bit loud inside. Service is fast. You can also just scan the QR code and make the payment. Good for grabbing a quick bite.
Tend to avoid chain restaurants but our visit to Wahaca Waterloo on Saturday lunch was great! We didn’t have a booking but only had a 10 min wait for our table. The servers were attentive and helpful and the food was great! We had a selection of tacos, quesadillas and a rice bowl between us which was plenty!
My experience at Wahaca Waterloo was amazing. The Food was excellent and very filling. This was the first ever Mexican Restaurant I have ever tried, and it certainly raised my expectations about Mexican Food itself. I would recommend trying the chicken burrito if anyone were to go there!
The two things that I ordered were spicy margarita and a set of favorites- sharing menu option. Both were amazing- tasty, full of flavors. Sharing dishes were diverse and perfectly portioned for two people. Totally recommend not only because of food and drinks but also because of wonderful staff.
Beautiful place with very friendly staff and delicious food! I recommend pork tacos (with lime), tacos with caramelized onion and sausages were also great! And the best was the dessert - brownie with pecan and icecream, so delicious! I also tried califlower with dip and although I usually do not like them, fried with dip were really great 👍👍👍
Amazing food and service highly recommend it.
Awesome food, really nice people. Service was perfect and all wishes was done.
Amazing vegetarian food we had at this Mexican joint. Very satisfying dishes, some made out of sweet potatoes. Please try sweet potato and feta taquito Haloumi AI pastor tacos..rice drink and beetroot- carrot was very refreshing
I would give more than 5 stars if I could! The service was by far the best I've experienced while travelling in London, and one of the best restaurant experiences I've had period. I was travelling with a friend who has celiac disease and not only do they have a full gluten free menu with tons of delicious options, but they took so much care while taking our order and preparing our food. Not to mention, the food and drinks were amazing! All the stuff we interacted with were very friendly and welcoming as well. Will definitely be back!
Had a great meal here with a friend. The wait staff was super friendly and helpful, and when my gluten-free friend needed to make sure the food was GF, they sent over a manager to explain and to deliver the food, to be sure. It was also delicious. Try the michelada (beer with lime and tomato juice), sounds strange but is delicious. Modelo works best.
This place has the best staff! Both Melani and Ajay were so wonderful and they gave us on the house tiramisu and cauliflower bites because it was my friend’s birthday! I loved the buttermilk chicken taco! 10/10 would recommend and will be coming back again!
The food was imaginative and tasty, nicely presented and served in a beautifully decorated setting. The best was the service from Indiana. She was warm, welcoming and friendly as well as being attentive and prompt. She made the evening a pleasure. Thank you.
Lovely, friendly staff. Perfect atmosphere after a hard day at work. My waitress Melanie made me feel so welcome and was so kind. Food was delicious 😋
I have been wanting to try Wahaca for a long time and it was definitely everything I thought it would be and more! We were greeted warmly at the desk with a big smile and taken through to our table where we were looked after brilliantly by Cristian. We were offered beautifully fresh guacamole and tortilla chips to begin and followed shortly by a range of incredibly tasty dishes. We had two different types of quesadilla, the pork belly skewer, a taquito and the avocado, cos and spinach salad - all incredibly flavoured, impossible to pick a favourite. We ended with the churros and caramel sauce which were also to die for! Cristian was super friendly and attentive, suggesting dishes and making sure we were happy with our food. The atmosphere was warm and buzzing and we will definitely be back! Thank you to the whole team!
Daniel served us today and was wonderful! The food (and Prosecco) was delicious and reasonably priced. Wahaca is fast becoming one of my favourite places <3
From the moment we walked into this Mexican restaurant, we knew it was going to be a special evening—but what truly elevated our experience was our incredible waiter, Daniel. I cannot praise him enough. Daniel greeted us with the warmest smile and genuine hospitality, making us feel like family right away. His knowledge of the menu was unmatched—he guided us through the dishes with such enthusiasm and detail that we were excited to try everything he recommended. And he was spot-on every single time. What impressed me most was Daniel’s attentiveness without ever being intrusive. He anticipated our needs before we even asked—refilling drinks, offering extra salsa at just the right moment, and checking in with perfect timing. He made sure every detail of our meal was flawless. It’s rare to find someone who is not just good at their job but truly passionate about it. Daniel brought an energy and kindness that turned an already delicious dinner into a memorable experience. Honestly, the food was fantastic, but Daniel’s service was the highlight of the night. If you’re planning to eat here, do yourself a favor and ask for Daniel. He’s the kind of waiter that every restaurant dreams of having, and the kind of person every guest hopes to meet. We’ll absolutely be back—because of the amazing food, yes, but even more so because of Daniel
We love Wahaca so much! The food is always amazing and the Waterloo location is so convenient for us. We try and come here every time we visit London. As luck would have it, we have had the same server the last two times: Indi, who was really great! You can’t go wrong with Wahaca Waterloo!
My first time visiting a Wahaca and I was super impressed. Food was absolutely delicious and much better than I expected given this is a chain restaurant. Plenty of veggie options and it’s easy to try a range of dishes via the small plates and set menu, even if dining alone. Waitress was also lovely and wish I’d taken her name so I could give her a shoutout here - she was genuinely friendly and made effort to make me feel welcome, help me understand the menu and make recommendations without being overbearing.
Our server Chris was very helpful and really looked after us. The team were also very friendly and really enhanced our experience. Food was really good and all perfectly cooked. Thanks Wahaca for another great meal.
The food was SO SO GOOD!! And the servers were even better! Especially one in particular called Indiana😄 She served my table & the service was quick & efficient. She ensured we were all okay whilst having a smile on her face. Would come again!!
Ambience is beautiful and food here specially for non vegetarians is delicious. We ordered butter chicken tacos and sweet potato starter dish which was mouth watering. Lot of other good options available in the menu. In Veg I would say need more options other than sweet potato or sweet flavours. But the ones in the menu are also great. Overall a good place to chill and satisfy your appetite.
Great place for Mexican fare. I visited with a friend on a Friday night and we had a good time. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was lively. I highly recommend booking a table ahead of time as it was busy on a Friday night and there was a small wait for a table from 18:45 onwards. I recommend ordering 5 small plates (for 2 people) and I can vouch for the buttermilk fried chicken and the sustainable fish tacos - as delicious as they looked mouth-watering. The Margarita pie (new on the menu) was beautiful too - light and refreshing. Service was friendly and the food was great. I have no qualms at all. Recommended.
Nice food and vibe but the staff fully ignored us for ages. I had to find someone to ask for the bill and was waiting even longer to be able to pay. Though the staff were nice it wasn’t particularly busy and they seemed to completely forget us
Was having such a lovely time here until our waiter ruined it at the very end over £3 - we ordered the one scoop vanilla with alcohol which is £5.50 as stated by the menu, when we received the bill it was £5.95 for the alcohol and £2.50 for the ice cream. I calmly explained to the waiter that I think there’s been a mistake it says £5.50 on the menu which caused him to huff and puff… He came back with a holiday menu or dessert menu (unsure it was just a smaller menu that he waved at us but didn’t actually let us read) saying it is £9.95 for three scoop and this is already discounted for the one scoop, I said is it not £5.50 for both as stated in the menu but he waved the other menu and insisted I was wrong. He was being quite hostile and agitated so I dropped it, paid and checked when I left. On the online menu and physical menu it does say £5.50 available by the scoop with alcohol but he insisted the system says it must be inputted like this. It was really not a big deal I don’t understand why our waiter approached the situation so confrontationally. Felt it was also unnecessary for him to silently march away from us after we dropped it pretty quickly and paid. Food is great as always (amazing vegetarian options, really enjoyed the cauliflower bites) and up until the end service was pretty decent - including our waiter to begin with. Would suggest having some more vegetarian options that are less sweet in taste. Will return to Wahaca but will skip this branch because I think the way we were treated over a simple misunderstanding was incredibly unfair. Hope our waiter has a better day tomorrow and that the issue/system complication surrounding this dessert is sorted among staff.
I recently visited this restaurant and made it clear to the staff that I have an allergy to pork. The staff themselves were extremely helpful, attentive, and did everything they could to assist me. They are in no way at fault for what happened. However, to my disbelief, I was advised that the deep fat fryer used for items that should be suitable for vegetarians—such as chips—is also used to cook pork products and other animal by-products. This is extremely concerning. Cross-contamination is a serious issue, especially for customers with allergies or specific dietary requirements. Based on how the food was described on the menu, I would have reasonably assumed these items were safe. While the staff handled the situation professionally and were transparent once questioned, the restaurant’s overall practices and menu labelling need urgent improvement. Customers rely on accurate allergen information, and the current setup makes it difficult for anyone with allergies, religious dietary restrictions, or vegetarian/vegan preferences to order safely. Overall, the experience left me feeling misled and unsafe, despite the excellent efforts of the staff. I sincerely hope the restaurant takes immediate steps to improve its allergen management, staff training, and communication so that the team is properly supported and customers can dine with confidence.
Perfectly nice. Renan out waiter was a Mexican ray of sunshine. Is knowledge and understanding of the Taco business is exemplary. He understands mexican cuisine and was great at recommending dishes to our acquired tastes. A fantastic showman. Top man.
Was here with a group of 12 and we had the festive feast sharing menu. The food was very good once it arrived, however it took over an hour after arrival despite pre-booking for the first dish to be brought to the table. Service was very slow regarding drink orders as well. I had to ask for an extra plate and glass and it took 30 minutes for these to come, meaning I didn’t have even a sip of water until 30 minutes after my arrival. Other courses arrived very slowly and in bits and pieces - it seemed like many were forgotten until the last minute. The bottomless salsa was 3 tiny bowls that arrived over halfway through the meal - they tasted good, but there was nothing to dip into them! Our final course, the bottomless churros, arrived about 25 minutes after the final main course was cleared and long after staff had taken final orders. While the food was delicious, the wait times let it down.
Food was great. Hours of operation not correct on their website. Closing time listed at 10pm . We arrived at 9pm and were promptly informed that we could only order 1 drink as they were about to close soon.waiter told us they wanted the staff wanted to leave by 9:30pm. Felt very rushed to eat and have our allotted 1 drink. I did really like the food and drink. Would have spent alot more money there. I guess thanks for not letting me spend too much
