Only place for Dim Sum in the San Fernando Valley. I go at least once a month. Weekend dim sum selection is more extensive than on weekdays, but always good whatever day.
Have been eating here for about 15 years and really like the food. Wish they were closer to my home in Ventura. My family also loves dim sum. First had dim sum at Tai Hong's in Chinatown years ago, but they have since closed.
This is the only dimsum place in SFV that I go to. The two reasons why are sesame balls with red bean and tofu fa. Not only do they have these two delicious treats here, but they make these treats SO WELL! Unlike most dimsum restaurants where you could wait 20 minutes waiting for the dish(es) that you like come around in carts, at A and W, you can ask for what you're looking for, and shortly after, the nice servers bring the dishes to you! Finally, come before 12, and you will be seated immediately ( unlike places in SGV that requires you being there between 10 and 10.15 if you don't want to wait)!
The only really good place for Dim Sum in the valley. I'd go a bit farther and say its on par with those in San Gabriel and OC because its generally fresher since the smaller decor. The staff here is awesome, love every single one of them. Always go for the Xiu Mai, and Scallop Dumpling. Short Ribs. Seafood Eggroll with the Japanese sweet mayo on the side. Many get intimidated eating here, and there are safe foods and a menu thats appropriate for all eating types!
Family and I have been going to this place for a long time. They do the classic Chinese restaurant dishes like Kung Pao chicken and Fried Pork Chops really well here. They have big portions that are meant to be shared. Oh and they serve dimsum on the weekends.
Honestly hands down the most authentic Chinese food in the San Fernando Valley. I’ve been to many Chinese places in the past 20 years and this one is by far the best!
Combination Fried rice was tasty 😋
Food was excellent. So nice to not have to go downtown LA for dim sum any more. Staff was helpful too.
The food was delicious and fresh! The waitresses were friendly and recommended their special house dishes. My husband and I are very picky when it comes to eating out. But we both enjoyed our meals and will definitely be returning!
You probably cannot find a more authentic seafood dim sum restaurant on the north and west side of the 101/405 interchange. Complete with the aggressive dim sum cart lady stacking steamers onto your table almost as soon as you sat down. And whereas they didn't used to be as good, during the most recent visit, something has changed and for the better. The various dim sum dishes taste almost the same as the dim sum I have had the good fortune to experience in both Hong Kong and Taiwan. What a difference! And I do know because I just had dim sum the previous week in China Town. Save yourself the driving, the airfare, and the hassle of travel if you get a hankering for dim sum. Try A&W Seafood Restaurant in Northridge they will fill the bill and save you time and money.
I've been going to this place for 20+ years with my family, going for the Dim Sum during lunch hours. Our go-to orders are shumai, shrimp har gow, shrimp flat noodle, Chinese broccoli, house special fried rice, fried shrimp balls w/mayonnaise on the side, and congee. Never had a bad experience here, and if you know what you like, just tell the staff when they come by with the food cart and how many orders of that item, and you'll be all good. To feed 5 people with those items (not listed is quantity) with some leftovers, the usual price comes to about $130, and the leftovers are good for a whole other meal.
First time dining here. Sunday Dim Sum - so good (shui mai, pork buns, egg rolls, walnut shrimp, fried shrimp balls). Great service. They were already busy just shortly after opening but didn't have to wait. Saw so many other dishes would love to try on another day. Looking forward to many dim sum brunches here.
I must have passed this place 1000 times without even thinking of going in. On a recent Monday, a friend invited me to A & W for lunch. I didn't know what to expect. I was greeted by a beautifully decorated interior and by a staff that spoke little to no English. Thankfully my friend spoke with the staff in Chinese, her native language, ordering various small 'baskets' of Dim sum and Dumplings. Everything was delicious. Some items where straightforward, such as 'pork in a dumpling' or 'shrimp in a dumpling', while others more interesting combinations with more complex flavors. Since a cart is brought to your table, from which you get to pick what you'd like, I never bothered to try and memorize names of items. We accompanied the meal with tea. Since she paid for the meal, I have no idea about cost and how reasonable it might be. I know it us a very unique experience for this part of the San Fernando Valley.
Dim Sum 11 AM to 2 PM everyday. I suggest going on weekdays when it’s not too hectic. The quality of the food has been consistent throughout the years. When I come here, I always order the juicy Shumai and the delicate Har Gow from the stacked carts. Items I order straight from the kitchen are the “shrimp cheung fun” and the honey walnut shrimp. The items I listed above are only some of the staples of Chinese Dim Sum. If you want to try more, then come down here and experience it yourself. Thanks for reading this review. I hope you have a nice Dim Sum experience.
My favorite local Dim Sum in the central west valley. It's- always medium good. Not fantastic, never bad. Great for large groups. Come hungry, waddle out to your car when you are done.
So yummy. They roll steaming carts around with delicious treats waiting to fill your heart with delightful flavors . I've been coming here foe more than 25 years and I love it here. Easier than the drive to Ocean Seafood in Chinatown and just as delicious!
Our current go-to for Chinese food. Great service, excellent food, and the staff is willing to take custom instruction on dishes. The food compares well vs. a lot of extra local competition, and we have decided that this is our best local option after trying much of the other choices in the area. The dining area is clean and to be recommended for large family dinners.
A&W has been my family's go to spot for 20+ years. If you want an authentic dim sum experience, this is the place to be for saturday and sunday lunch time. We always get their shaomai, har gow, shrimp with rice noodle, sugar cane, pan fried noodle, and sesame ball. So yummy! The people are hardworking and direct. We will always love it here!
I've been coming here for over 20 years, the dim sum is always excellent.. the staff is very friendly. This is the only "traditional" dim sum place in the san Fernando valley that is worth going to every week!
We come here for a dim sum, which is served until 3pm. The food is always great and the prices are always a pleasant surprise. The service is ok (some servers are more attentive than others), but it's as a fun experience.
First I want to say, it took a minute for me to get my food, but it was totally worth the wait, I ordered Crispy Squid with chili salt, Singapore fried rice noodle no meat seafood only, Chinese broccoli w/oyster sauce. Squid was exquisitely prepared crispy exterior W/ tender and flavorful squid Singapore noodles were properly cooked meaning they weren't stuck together, they were separate threads of goodness in a bath of curry, Chinese broccoli in Oyster sauce SUPERBLY PREPARED crispy broccoli tender but crisp (if that makes sense) w/salty slightly sweet w/ a slightly pungent after taste like oyster sauce should be, cant wait for my next visit to A & W Seafood I didnt like the beer tho😶
Loved it! When I go out for dimsum, I have a certain expectation and it was definitely met here. I would have loved it even more if they had egg custard buns 😭
A very kick back place with great food.
The best Resturant on the planet! This location I have been coming to for the last 7 years has been the best experience of my life 😌 here, they make everything so delicious and authentic and fresh! All of their dishes are so flavorful bursting with flavor and fragrant with aromas from all their spices I’m completely obsessed 😍 all the food here is amazing. I’m sure everyone who comes here will be just as obsessed ! Now go eat! I promise everyone will love enjoy to full! ❤️🥰❤️
This review is specifically for their dim sum. When I came in I was sat immediately for there are is tons of seating. They were very quick to bring the cart and serve us our food. We had a couple of different kinds of dumplings and they were all delicious. We also had some sticky and that was also really good. Dim sum is definitely the way to go if your in the area looking for a quick bite to eat.
We came 20 minutes past closing on Saturday night, but they still graciously accepted us. Ordered the lobster soup w asparagus, spicy eggplant, and shrimp w lobster sauce. Everything was fantastic, service was attentive. Try it for dinner and you won't regret it!
I really really enjoyed the shrimp fried rice. The orange peel beef was more tangy than I imagined. The menu had a fire emoji so I thought it was spicy, but I guess the fire represented popularity. I thought the orange beef would be sweet. I really like the way they make it extra crispy before they tossed it in the sauce. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice.
If you love dimsum, this is the place to be if you're in the Northridge area. Prices are very reasonable and food is very good. I've been going to this place for lunch and for pickup orders and the food is always cooked fresh and not too salty. 100% recommended.
Foods here are awesome! I've been coming here for years and the service is always great.
food taste great ! reasonable price, big servings, great customer service, friendly staff, clean place👍 10stars🌟

Great dim-sum place! Food was awesome, employees are nice, and the vibe gives early 2000s! Will 100% come back here again. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
A surprise find in the San Fernando Valley. It reminded me of a dim sum place in the heart of Sydney's Chinatown. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Our family loves this place. It is geographically between my brother's place in Moorpark and our home on the Westside. We meet for dim sum 2 or 3 times during the year. It's not fancy, nor does it need to be, but the food is good, fresh and consistent. The Auntie is always busy but always stops to ask us if we need anything else. ❤️

I went with my Mom and her friend and they picked me up and he drove us to A & W Seafood restaurant and it was for my mom's pre birthday lunch. We walked in and got a table to sit down and waiting for my uncle and aunt and they finally came and the waitress came and we ordered food the food was great and the cashier did good customer service and the Men's bathroom it was cleaned.
We went for dim sum and the food was good but the waitress never brought our check and it took forever to pay and leave.
Nice place to go to. A decent amount of food to share with 4 people. The hot tea was amazing doesn't need anything added to it. Kinda pricy but still was quite good.
Service is good, came out in order and the foods are tasty! But carefully with what they bring out to you without asking, such as tea, mustard & chilies etc...you'll be charged.
Good food! Service can be a little rude however. You don't always feel as welcomed as you are comfortable with, and it can get overly noisy. Still probably the best dim sum you'll find in the valley.
Good quality dim sum in general with good menu selection and good service. However, it's getting pricier this last time as I have not been there in a couple of years.
Good food, but service has gone down hill over the years. I think it's still the same people, so I'm not sure what changed, but we don't go nearly as often because there are plenty of places with good food for the same price, but better service.
We got there at 2pm Sunday and the fried delicacies were cold. Waited for the roast pork rice roll crepes and chicken feet to be steamed. I asked for the bean curd pork roll and were given the bean curd vegetarian roll. Dim sum was okay, service was decent and parking lot is rather cluttered. Incomparable to the San Gabriel Valley spots. Additional star for trying.
I had been craving Dim Sum for some time now. This place has dim sum in carts like they do in SGV. Love it. Luckily there is dim sum locally, it's a bit pricy. $60 for 2 people.
The only decent dim sum 🥟 in the Valley (that I know of). Has all my fave dishes and tastes great!
I've been going here for years and very few things stay consistent. But the food and staff are the same. The food is amazing and very authentic. The one thing that is keeping this from a 5 star is the staff. The staff while not rude weren't very nice either. The design of place is very bland but clean.
Mom was craving seafood. Decided to revisit this restaurant. It's been a few years since last time. Ordered Orange peel chicken and Crab house specialty style. Orange chicken was nice. Cooked well with balance of orange flavor. It is not spicy compared to others. Mom went with the whole crab. $25.95/lb. Was around 2 1/2 pounds. Pricey for lunch, but it's what mom wanted. Not very much flavor. I think it was a very mild seasoning. A lot of work having to get your hands dirty. There are plenty of leftovers for two people. Beware, they charge $3 for the little dish of mustard and chili that they bring out as you sit. Maybe because they offer dim sum as well. If we had used it, I probably wouldn't be offended. I'm not overly impressed, maybe why we haven't been there for a while.
There are less weekday dim sum options than there used to be. No egg tarts during the week. That was disappointing. Not all items are on the cart. Some you have to order from the menu. Food still tastes good! On the weekends the carts come out fast and furious with all the options.
My kids took me there for Father's day, the beer that I ordered wasn't cool enough, so the lady that was taking care of us came with the best idea, a jar half water half ice,to make sure that my beer was cool enough, to me that's going over board, I love it.
We've been to this A&W before several years ago (there are actually three locations in the SF valley) and decided to try it again for Chinese New Year. It was after 2pm when we arrived and they were still serving dim sum from carts though it was slim pickings at that late hour, so we also ordered from the menu. The menu is heavily seafood oriented, but there are many traditional Chinese items available. We got a fried rice dish, a garlic chicken, and string beans (my partner doesn't eat seafood). All the dishes including the few dim sum items were flavorful, maybe a bit on the oily and salty side, but decent. The dim sum looked like it was made on site. I, being raised on Chinese food, would say that the dishes were close to authentic. Portions were generous. This is an old school Chinese restaurant with older aunties serving you with friendly but bare minimum service. Don't be surprised by slightly sticky table coverings and missing condiments (we just grabbed soy sauce from the next table). If you want better food, go to the San Gabriel Valley, but that's a long drive for us. If you want better service or environment, go to PF Chang's but you won't get the authentic dim sum and seafood. A&W is a great option if you're seeking good Chinese food in the Valley.
Lunch traditional dim sum. Good, not great. Very slow day, and server was super pushy. One good thing she refilled the tea quickly and often. 3 stars for atmosphere due to cold and dark.
Very good. Just Dim Sum was not hot, so we left it.
Nice little place to have dim sum!

This place is definitely a little long in the tooth. It looks like it could use an uplift, some elbow grease - to clean it up, and perhaps a visit from the health board. Not that I specifically saw anything terrible, but I just want to be sure that the place is safe. The food is very good. Finding great dim-sum nearby my Simi Valley home is fantastic. I have been here several times over the years and the great dish selection is always consistently good. At over $50 for two, they seem a little high-priced, which may explain the lower number of customers this time around. Their staff is friendly, very good, and quick with any special orders. I will certainly be back, soon.

Decent dumplings, atmosphere wasn't the best. Co-workers argued about our bill in front of us which made it a bit ackward and ruined the experience.
Reason for visiting: late Mother's day dinner Date/time of visit: Friday night, ~7:30 PM Pacific Parking: can be found in the lot next to the restaurant or on the street Party size: 13 Environment/ambience: wasn't too busy for a Friday night. It started getting busy as we were eating; CSUN had a graduation around the same time. There are fish/lobster tanks the kids can look at. No TVs. Place was relatively clean. Large round table will fit roughly 12-13 people comfortable; comes with a lazy susan (round serving table in the middle). Service: was good, better than expected for a Chinese restaurant. They include tax when they calculate the tip so make sure to check that; they also have the option for large parties to decide how much you want to tip if you tell them ahead of time. Otherwise they will include the tip with the bill, which includes the tax which isn't right (even though they said it wasn't included). This was the main reason for my rating. Food: was good. The house special lobster, beef loc lac (beef chunks), fried pork chops, and salt and pepper shrimp were all good. Cost: not too bad, came out to ~$36/person, kids and adults.
food is good, average pricing for the quality, but the service is wretched --- the owner knows this and doesn't care. Dim Sum waitresses much too pushy .... they must be on commission!☺
Food was decent. Service could be better. We ordered soda and it took 15 minutes because the manager was on the phone chatting with someone.
Came for dim sum at lunch. Food was not hot or freshly made. Better to drive a few more miles and go to Lunasia in Pasadena.
I love dim sum, but something is a little off about the flavors here. The restaurant is a little dingy and could use a deep cleaning and remodel. The service is fine, except the carts get into traffic jams so sometimes you get an onslaught of offerings followed by a half-hour of nothing. I'm glad to have a dim sum option in this neighborhood, but it really could be improved.
They have decent dim sum, but their service is horribly lacking. Most of their servers seem to have an attitude and it took my mom 4 times to finally get the diet coke that she ordered. The food is okay, but if you are looking for a good dining experience you may want to look elsewhere.
The best dim sum in the mornings that you can find in the valley, but that doesn't mean it's great. The service is cold and impersonal , and the dim sum is just ok. It is a good deal and worth the money though. Always crowded and always noisy , if you get there after noon on a weekend you'll wait at least 30 minutes.
Their food is good. A little disorganized in the ordering and pickup process. And usually, you get a bill with the total before you pay. In their case, they lady said "Give me your card, I'll run it and then we'll know how much." 🤔
We had just come into town and we wanted to have dim sum for a light lunch somewhere on the way to UCLA. I googled good dim sum places and this one popped up so we decided to try it. It was late afternoon so there was hardly anyone there. The first person you saw was this lady behind the counter when you went in. She did not smile but did ask how many people and we told her two.. So she told this other lady to sit us at a table. Both women were not very welcoming. The lady that sat us down starts rolling the dim sum cart to us. At 2pm there wasn't much to choose from. We ordered the sui mai,the shrimp and scallop dumpling and the fried sesame balls. She almost just started to put a variety of steamers plates on our table but we didn't want what she had in the cart. We ordered the house special chow mein. The food was disppointedly ok. The shrimp scallop dumpling skin was soggy and the flavor was ok. The sui mai wasn't bad but it might have been better if we had come earlier and these item came out piping hot from the big steamer. The fried sesame balls were fresh and delicious. We had two orders of that one with red bean and the other with yellow bean. Yellow bean was our favorite but they ran out. Since there wasn't a lot to choose from the dim sum cart we ordered the house special chow mein. When it came out I was surprised how it was fried up. There were more noodles than there were meat or veget . It was pretty skimpy on the added ingredients that is supposed to be in that chow mein. The third lady that served us was the nicest one there. The chow mein was ok. It did have flavor but it did not have the wok fire and flavor you would find in really good Chinese restaurant. I was disappointed with the quality of food served there and the unfriendliness of the front desk and the first waitress. I will not be going back.
The Dim-sums were ok. Wish the stuffing could be more. Fast paced eating place. Don’t mind if on weekends the people serving are running around. Loved the idea of getting hot dim-sums at your table, but if you are in a table farther away from the kitchen, most likely your choices will be limited. The hot tea, chili paste/sauce are not free, they quietly add it to the check. Also ensure the check is for your table. Our got mixed up.
Service is fast. A little outdated and feels very old and sticky. Half of the items are great and some were served cold and no longer warm and appetizing. I saw the other table ordered some lobster and might be ordering that instead next time.

Time to write this one off. Used to be great. Service is horrible due to the fact they ask two women to work an oversized dining room. To make matters worse the "matre'd" doesn't speak English. We had to remind them about parts of our order, took forever to get three dishes-one at a time, never. asked if we wanted a 2nd beer, didn't even.bring fortune cookies with check (some tables got them) which we had to get up and walk around the restaurant to get their attention again for. Oh, and the food was okay until we got home...it didn't agree with either one of us. Felt sorry for the waitresses (one didnt speak English either).
Dim sum was no bueno. Shrimp tasted like it was old and mushy. Skin of the har gow was falling apart. Service also sucks too.
Went there for dim sum. We were not impressed and will not be returning. If a restaurant has a B health code rating, then it needs to be serving greater than mediocre (C grade) food.
I haven’t been in a while since we moved away from the area and unfortunately it has declined in quality. Perhaps unrelated but the aquarium they have on display is a tell-tell sign of the pride and quality decline? Very disappointed but the people continue to be very nice
Weekday dumplings from cart are still available. Dumplings are good. Service is horrible. Staff has no concept of customer service. They are loud, rude, and doing you a favor. We enjoy the dumplings. If you can ignore the horrible customer service a nd attitude of the staff, give it a try.
I used to go here all the time. Went there for lunch and ordered one siu mai and one Garlic chicken. Was about $30.00. Dim sum was ok , kind of chewy and the garlic chicken was salty. Not much care in the food. I told the waitress and told her about being salty. Didn’t really care. Like she didn’t care or understand me. Wanted to charge me for chili sauce and tea. Things that used to be complimentary. No wonder why this place was empty at 1:30 in the afternoon. Used to be packed every day. I was truly disappointed in the service and food.
Food: most of the dim sum plates are straight from pre-made frozen meals u can get from grocery stores Service: asked for check, waited for 15 min no coming. Ended up walking up to the counter. Mandatory 18% AFTER tax tip for 6+ group Atmosphere: could have been a new restaurant 30 years ago, everything still here, even the World Trade Center (their wall procure) Overall: bad food, over priced

Very awful place to go. Waitresses are very rude. You'll get one or two menus for a party of 7. My menu was taken literally from my hands to use it on another table and never returned. With one menu for 7, the waitress, with attitude, ask if we were ready. When ask for more menus the waitress got mad. I don't recommend this place at all. Prices are high with a really bad service.
The Dim Sum was very cold, and all the items were tasteless Waste the time to drive there from Santa Clarita ca Congee just overnight cold rice mixed with room temperature water , terrible 😑
Overall i didnt like this restaurant. I would of choose no stars if that was an option. Much different then the one in orange county. Staff was rude and didnt pay much attention to our table of 4 adults and 4 kids. We had charges on our bill we didnt even order. They charged for tea and when we told them they said its "hong kong style" even if we didnt order it or sip the tea. They didnt even bring us tea cups but still had the nerve to charge. Your best bet us going to a whole in the wall chinese restaurant or one of the options they have across the street lol. Worst restaurant ever!!!
don’t waste your money here the people will not help you out if you have any problems they don’t care about you The order was wrong and they were willing to do nothing about it. I will never be going here again. !!!
Horrible service I went in to get something to go but the lady at the counter wouldn’t even look at me and kept talking to other employees and laughing. It wasn’t even that busy today. I waited 7 minutes before asking if she can take my order which she murmured something I couldn’t hear and went the othe register. I waited again until she turned her back and started talking to the employees. I started to leave and opened the door and hear her shout you can order. I looked at her and just left. Wow I haven’t been treated like that ever
I ordered seafood noodles and fried rice. I've been ordering the same before the flavor still good but this time it is drenched in oil...terrible!! Maybe they have new chef...
Very disorganized, i came today to pickup take out order and after waiting in lobby for 30 minutes no one approached me or to other people waiting in line for take out. I have been going to this place for years and really dissatisfied with the customer service. I had to leave as I have other things important than this. They can have the food.
Don't go there around 3 or 4pm. Food was horrible! Ordered 1/2 fried chicken, it was reheated from the microwave, I could tell coz some part of the chicken was cold. The seafood pan fried noodles also tasted a day old. Very dissatisfied and disappointed....
Don’t ask for hot sauce I got charged an additional 1.50 for sirarcha wasn’t given no chopsticks and dim sum that was overcooked
Was horrible, I really regret going on Father's Day for dim sum. I felt like I practically had to beg to get service when we were first sat down. To get tea, to get chili oil and mustard, I asked for Chopsticks I was never given chopsticks. I am never going again this was my second time to the restaurant I wish I had gone to the Korean Hanoo Kalbi restaurant up the street. Much better service and much better food
$7 for a plate of xiaolongbao bought from Costco is just pure robbing. You can get handmade xiaolongbao in every dim sum restaurant in San Gabriel or Alhambra for $4. Others dim sum are fine, but there isn’t much variety.
It was good years ago. I don't know what happen. Sometimes the food is good and sometimes is very salty on some food. I notice today that the employees are different not the same friendly people. It felt strange. Now here we go. Now they charge you for tea and sauce they never did that before. The waitress should tell each customer there is a charge before serving a sauce or tea etc. Come on what type of restaurant is this?? If your planning to eat there ask them is there a hidden fee. Don't be shy to ask. This happen today at Northridge.
Pretty sure, this is the only restaurant that charged customer for a bottle of water. It’s been 4-5 yrs since they stopped the refill for all the fountain sodas due to covid & they only serve bottled of water so they can charge you for it. I guess they rather have less customer.
Very bad food, taste like microwaved frozen food
Horrible management!!!! The owner was very nasty and aggressive when addressing incorrect order manager refused to correct order arrived early and parking was an issue limited parking spot and prices are RIDICULOUS so not worth the price and or Quality of food save your money and go elsewhere!!!!!
Food is not the same. There were no plenty of choices for dimsum. The place is dark, looks like they are saving electricity, only 1 chandelier was turned on in a big area. Food is ewwww.
They have gone downhill. Use to enjoy eating frog legs and spicy salted shrimp here. They no longer serve frog legs and the shrimp was bland as is no "spicy salt". Service was horrible. Asked 5 times for a menu as we were not there for Dim Sum. I had to go looking for the server (lady with short hair) to get all my items, ask for check. Then they wanted me to tip $35! I said he'll no! Not with that service. Yes they put it in your tab! You can change that by telling them when you pay. My advice is to go to another restaurant.
We've been going to dim sum here for... maybe 35 years? I never thought to question cleanliness and I think I always saw an 'A' health rating. Maybe not. My daughter stopped for lunch with a friend today and brought some extras home to us. My son, perhaps in a prescient moment, cut a shrimp ball on a sugar cane stick in half. See the photo on Yelp for the result (if you don't bother, just know it's a tiny roach hatchling). Yes, it has legs. I know it's only extra protein, but I'd rather choose knowingly. It will be hard for my family to return. We never cut open our dim sum, but now? I feel a little queasy knowing I ate more than a dozen other assorted pieces before this.
Slow service and overpriced sub-mediocre food. Quality can be described as $1 Chinese food (greasy, frozen, odorous) in a sit down restaurant. Steamed dim sum was rubbery. The cod fish has an ammonia smell that even the sauce couldn't disguise. Rice for our table was served last after the main dishes had already been picked at, and it was probably the only thing that was edible. I feel bad for wasting food, but I also don't want to be accused of animal abuse by giving the leftover to-go portions to my dog. Such a dilemma. Eating at A&W Seafood is like an injection of disappointment and depression into your life. Imagine ordering Hooter's fries through UberEats at 11pm on a Saturday night only for them to arrive soggy and unseasoned, while you work in another city away from the home you miss. Yeah, that's how bad A&W Seafood is. Next time I'll drive to the SGV for good Chinese.
The whole experience felt very rushed. The food was cold and not fresh and it was bland as well. The Reseda and sherman way location serves you everything more hot and fresh; and they attend you better.
Take it or leave it. I'll pass. If you want bland, flavorless, cheap food quality, this is the spot for you. Food: the steamed __fill in the blank___ are all bland. No taste, no salt. To add insult to injury, there isn't any kind of "real" dipping sauce. It's either that powdered yellow mustard stuff, or hot chili paste/oil. You have to ask for vinegar if you want it. Uhm, no thanks. I was expecting like a nice sweet rice wine vingar with onion, or fish sauce, or something. Sticky rice in green leaves. Yuck! Too mushy for me. No salt. BBQ something or other in white puffy dough. Too much white puffy dough, and not enough filling. Shrimp... nah, it tastes like it's past due the expiration date by a week. Pork Ribs.. all bones and hard cartilage. Hardly any "meat" on those bones. Atmosphere: "sticky" and crummy. It's like the whole place needs a shower. I won't be back.
Personally I don’t think the food is that good we ordered some dumplings they were overcooked and getting them out of the container was not cute. Then I ordered shrimp in lobster sauce and there was no flavor it was more like eggs with flour and water…I’m thinking about returning with my kids and see if we order something else is worth it

Horrible management!!!! The owner was very nasty and aggressive when addressing incorrect order manager refused to correct order arrived early and parking was an issue limited parking spot and prices are RIDICULOUS so not worth the price and or Quality of food save your money and go elsewhere!!!!!
Dirty and so outdated. Both entrance door were open so flies are coming inside the restaurant. Food was poor taste unlike previous years (dry siomai , hard squid in the calamares). Won’t be eating there anymore
A very good Chinese (sea)food.👍 My first time having dinner at this restaurant after a round of golf @Knollwood⛳️ and the foods were deliciously better than I expected. Codfish filet w/ black bean sauce was a bit salty but washed it down w/ a glass of Tsingtao beer. A great find. I'll surely revisit next time I'm in the area.
Horrible experience. Dim sum flavors were basic. Selection was very poor. They were not busy and yet seemed to purposely overlook me. No hot sauce unless you order tea. Overpriced by about 30%.
Very bad food, taste like microwaved frozen food

Pretty sure, this is the only restaurant that charged customer for a bottle of water. It’s been 4-5 yrs since they stopped the refill for all the fountain sodas due to covid & they only serve bottled of water so they can charge you for it. I guess they rather have less customer.
