I’m all about supporting businesses that are run by good people and Combination A is just that. Whichika, or “Witch” runs the place and he’s just an all-around nice guy. Super personable, I feel like he would be the kind of person that remembers your name, even if he hasn’t seen you in a while. The woman that made my plate was also sweet. The place is clean and very well taken care of. I got the combo A with orange chicken, Half chow mein half/ fried rice with the Garlic green beans, and a side of cream cheese wontons. I asked about a dish that I didn’t recognize out of curiosity, and they told me it was Chow Fun and were kind enough to include a little bit on my plate to try. Of course I had to pull over for a little palette cleanser on my way home lol and tried a bite, I will absolutely be ordering it next time I come! As I was paying, I noticed the “Abolish ICE” Sign on the register and knew I had made the right choice to give them my business. In our current climate, we should encourage each other to support small and local businesses that support human rights. I will absolutely be back now that I am living in Los Angeles again. I have officially found my new local Chinese restaurant❤️
I had Combo A on my list of places I wanted to visit for a few years now and we finally braved the 35 minite drive on a Friday night and it was absolutely worth it. They were out/low on a couple of the entrees but the kitchen was constantly replenishing so we did have to wait a bit for the orange chicken and the potatos and chicken but I am so glad we did. The orange chicken is my far the best I've ever had. Crispy and crunchy yet still meaty so big don't feel like all you ate was batter. The chicken and potatos were incredible as well. The potatoes were soft and coated in this sweet sauce along with the chicken that was coated in that same sauce and garlic. The chicken wings were WOW! We only got 3 peices but they were large wings. I loved the glass noodles as an option for the base and got half of that along with the chow mein and both were good. I also would like to say they had the best teriyaki chicken I have ever had and it takes a lot for me to say that as I am very particular with chicken. There's seating inside, we chose takeout. Please stop by, this place is incredible and well known for a reason!
Food was very delicious. It was my first time here and I had to try a little bit of everything. I absolutely loved the portions of Orange Chicken & Beef Broccoli. Our plates were overflowing with food and you definitely get your money’s worth. Super fast service. I was in and out of there in less than five minutes. I loved how friendly the staff was and how clean the establishment was. It’s a cute little spot in a plaza with plenty of parking. They also do phone orders so next time I will call in advance and have a quicker pickup time. I will definitely be coming back for their egg fried noodles and wings.
Returning to this spot felt familiar and joyful. We savored every bite while the Dodgers lit up the screen — great food, better vibes.

When yesterday with my wife, this is a great local spot for Chinese food. I used to come here all the time as a kid before the renovations and they honestly still taste the same. I’m not surprised the same owners are still cooking up the best Chinese recipes from their veggie egg rolls to their orange chicken. If you’ve been wondering whether you should come taste this place I think this is your sign that you should. Just look at the portion sizes for our food in the pictures included. And they have a good variety of soft drinks and boba drinks! 🧋
Better than Panda Express in every single way. The food tastes better, the prices are cheaper, and the portions are WAY bigger. They actually fill up the container. Having a chow fun option is such a huge plus as well. I like it a lot better than chow mein. This is how Chinese American food should be. Can’t recommended this place more

When you want a hole in the wall Chinese food with great food and food variety on top of that all fresh !!! It’s a must stop while in echo park . Beef chow fun is my all time fav !!!

Combo A has been a staple neighborhood favorite of mine for years. From being reliable with their incredible food and equally awesome pricing this place has gotten me through so many chapters of life. My absolute favorite "Combo A" to get is both noodles - Chow Mein & Chow Fun, Orange Chicken, and the BBQ Pork. When I splurge I do a Combo B and will get the same order, plus the Chicken Wings. I am so happy to see Combo A's facelift open them up to more of the neighborhood & wish them all the success in the future. Also, I love their dodger adjacent branding. This local spot has such friendly faces who always greet you with a warm smile and the food is always fresh and delicious. Do yourself a favor and try them out!
I want to share a brief story.. 2 years i came to this establishment and i was left unfulfilled. Something just felt off in the quality of food, Maybe it was an bad day but ultimately i ended up not returning until recently. If there ever is a redemption story for a business, THIS WOULD BE IT! 100 percent complete 180 over my last time here two years ago. The Food phenomenal, The Price , justified, The portions? GENEROUS. I was able to try enough food and even their Wonton Soup which was delightful to say the least. I even went ahead and grabbed their in house made Branded Chili Oil and was taken aback by the great profile of equal Flavor and Spice. Not to mention the excellent customer service i was provided with my family. I am now for sure a repeat customer officially , and take much Pride in this being my local Chinese Spot. Come one, come all. Redemption is HERE!!!
Came all the way from Minnesota to try this infamous Combo A. The combo A is a reliable staple here. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy inside simple but satisfying. The fried rice was flavorful and well balanced. The orange chicken stood out with its perfect crunch and a sauce that hit the right mix of sweet and tangy. We also got the Thai tea boba which was great! All this amazing food matched with outstanding service. Felt like I was with my own family. Thank you! 10/10 would come back again.
My girlfriend and I came in 15 minutes before close (which we felt horrible about but wanted to try before leaving town) and most of everything had been sold. The man at the counter offered to cook a fresh batch of orange chicken, which was very tasty with a perfect crunch to it. Outstanding service, delicious food, and great prices for LA. Definitely worth checking out!

We were especially impressed by how much food we got for the price! Such a great value! The customer service was also amazing. When you go make sure to try the wings! This place is definitely a hidden gem. We’ll be back soon!

Came here for the first time last night, and it was okayyyyy. $11 plus some change for two items, rice and chow mien. Was a bit on the pricey side. They did have a couple vegetarian options: egg noodles, green beans, tofu. The fried rice was meh, the chow mien was a little better. The tofu and green bees were good. The restaurant was clean and spacious. Parking lot is smalllll. Best to walk here or to bring a person so you can run in while they wait for you.

It's a fine spot to eat. The food is about average for Chinese takeout, but the portions are a little on the small side, leaving me pretty underwhelmed. EDIT: just had panda express and not only did i like Panda much more, but the portions and value are just far better. So I'd confidently give this place a 2

I literally counted the pieces of chicken and meat in my meal. combined it came out to 7 pieces of chicken and meat total in my meal. they gave me 90% vegetables. on top of that every single wonton of mine was so burnt that the cheese on the inside was hard. I will NEVER order from here again or recommend anyone to. highly disappointed

Way over priced for the little amount of food you get. Veggies taste like they weren't cleaned before cooking and they tasted old with tons of minced garlic. The green beans honestly tasted like they were cooked in a bottle of soy sauce. I won't be going back!!!!!
