Opiniones de Proper Pizza and Pasta Los Angeles
Pretty small place but vibe is great, pizza is delicious. Lots of flavor, thin new york style pizza. Customer service was great, worker was very friendly and gave us any answers we needed for questions we had. First time here and will definitely be coming back.
Got delivery from here through a third party but had to come talk about how great the food was. I’m from the east coast, and the garlic knots are some of the best I’ve had in my entire life. The chicken alfredo was pretty typical, but was hot and fresh even after having it delivered a few miles up the road. If I’m ever in LA again, I will most definitely return.
Its a very small shop with big flavor! What is Brooklyns proprietary Hot Honey on their menu? You have to try it to understand! Buy the slice, the pie, the stromboli, or pasta, and a cookie. Do not question it, just go to find out what a Proper Pizza and Pasta should taste like!
Pepperoni burrata pizza is fire. White pizza excellent. Everything cooked to a perfect crisp. Wings were good too. I wish the blue cheese was chunky but that’s just me. Def will eat here again.
Please buy pizza from them.. I had signed up for free pizza for any one in need no questions asked , they had participated in the event. I got a free delicious pizza with salad and special bread .thank you I really didn't know what I was going to eat tonight.i pray for success for your delicious pizza
The buffalo chicken pizza was exceptionally delicious and had a perfect crispness. My order was prepared promptly, and the seating area provided a pleasant experience.
Came for a daddy daughter date. We got the spaghetti and pepperoni and mushroom slice. The pizza was crispy and they use the proper pepperonis that cup when u cook them. The crust has a great crunch. The spaghetti noodles were the great texture and the sauce has a nice acidity that's unique. Another customer recommended the calzones. Will try next time.
As of October 2023, I can confidently say that LA is a fantastic pizza city. This newly-opened pizzeria is proof that Angelenos do food the best in the country (don’t @ me). The Brooklyn Square slice was absolutely spectacular. The crust was well seasoned and extremely crisp, with a robust and tangy tomato sauce to boot. Great quality ingredients and taste. Highly recommended to grab a slice or two at any time of the day.

Loved the pizza. Crunchy. Buffalo chicken and pepperoni burrata. Mmmmm yes.

I had a wonderful experience at Proper Pizza & Pasta. The pizza had a perfectly crispy crust, and the pasta was rich, fresh, and full of flavor. The atmosphere felt cozy and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive. Great place to enjoy authentic Italian comfort food. Highly recommended!
It’s a bit small but very tasty and good service! Pizza is fresh and the fries and garlic knots served hot. I allso love the drink selection here, all bottled and interesting Non Soda options. No pictures cuz we demolished everything. Edit: The tiramisu is also amazing
So appreciated quality and service, especially as so convenient to Cedars-Sinai. Just 4 mins walking! Pasta and salad were both great and pizza looked authentic NY style. Also happen to have amazing Italian desserts and fresh cookies! Since writing my original review I can add that their pizza is the most authentic, delicious NY style pizza I've had in SoCal. But wait...there's more! Order the stromboli, and heaven can wait. The sausage with added garlic was better than ones I've had on the east coast. Can't wait to order again!
This place is FANTASTIC. I love their wings. I love their Caesar salad—I asked for mine tossed with chicken I am on cloud 9. I love this restaurant. The staff is super friendly too.

Delicious and fresh pasta and pizza. Plus they do gluten free pasta which was a bit plus for my hubby and I. We both got delicious gluten free pasta meals and our sons had a pizza and pasta too. We all loved our meal!! Definitely a must try if you love pizza and pasta!!

First time! Excellent pizza; the sauce was very tasty, the crust was a little thin, and the end were thicker. I like it that way. I would say the only negative is I ordered mushrooms, and there were so few and they were so thin, I almost didn't even know they were on. I will definitely order again. BTW, Nelson is great.
**4.3/5 🌟🌟🌟🌟✨ Proper Pizza & Pasta Los Angeles: Solid Neighborhood Pie with Room to Dial In** Stopped by **Proper Pizza & Pasta** on Larchmont Blvd and found exactly what the name promises: a straightforward, no-fuss pizza joint with a big, breezy **patio** that’s perfect for LA evenings 🌳🍕. The space is simple and welcoming—exposed brick, wooden tables, string lights outside, and a casual counter setup. The **host was quick** and friendly, seating us right away on a busy weeknight, and service stayed efficient throughout. Ordered the **Brooklyn** (classic cheese) and the **hot honey** pie. Crust is the highlight: thin-yet-foldable New York style with nice char and chew from the oven. Toppings are generous, and the hot honey version brings that sweet-spicy drizzle that cuts through the richness—solid concept and fun to eat. That said, deductions come from the core elements. The **sauce** leans bland and under-seasoned—more generic tomato than bright, garlicky punch. **Cheese** coverage was uneven and didn’t quite hit that creamy, stretchy ideal; some bites felt skimpy or greasy rather than balanced. Overall **seasoning** needed a bolder hand—more salt, oregano, or basil to wake things up. It’s good pizza, but not memorable in a city full of heavy hitters. Proper is still an easy win for the neighborhood—great patio for groups, fair prices, and reliably hot pies when you want something simple without waiting an hour. I’d return for casual hangs or takeout, especially with friends on the patio. Just wish the sauce and cheese got the same love as the crust. Worth a try if you’re nearby.
Pizza was fantastic and glad I got the pizza this time around. Had the hot honey pepperoni pizza and the square Sicilian hot honey burrata pepperoni pizza and both had fantastic taste u can taste the savory and sweetness from both pizza and very well balanced. Dnt expect it to be spicy the Sicilian pizza

Pizza be good 😊 but garlic knots not so much,, greasy and even a bit tough. Only ate it cuz I was hungry. Pizza I will come back for. Great staff to answer questions,, just wish could reserve a slice or 2 if coming fast.
As other people have said, great pizza and pasta (as the name suggests) but they should stop selling other items. Look at this 10 pack of "wings," ruined my night to be honest. Looked and tasted like overcooked chicken nuggets with franks red hot poured on top, tough to chew & honestly awkward for me because I was like "this place is great trust me" then got this abomination. I had to eat the whole thing, and honestly feel like I participated in a crime. Still 3 stars because the pizza and pasta is great, and it's called pizza and pasta. But this place is a minefield, be warned. Edit: The AI prompt Google review adds below food photo says "Sweet and Sour chicken" which shows it's not just me. This was bad dude. I ate this four hours ago, still thinking about how bad it was

This is a nice take on NY Pizza but it’s not it. The dough needs more work. Sauce was good. Still this would be considered a Cali version of NY Pizza. Great try but it didn’t make my list.
The pizza was not worth the price $2. I could of went to Little Ceasars and got the same thing and saved myself $12. It's not about the price, it's about the quality. It wasn't there. The box weighs more then the pizza. It was my first and last time there. I'm not bashing, I'm just making aware.
The worse pizza slice ever . I used to live in nyc and I love thin pizza , but this one doesn’t have anything on it. No cheese , barely some mushrooms . Barely some tomato sauce. So disappointed . No taste .
Really disappointed with this place. The service was slow — took 30 minutes for a simple order of a cheese pizza, garlic knots, and truffle fries. Meanwhile, I saw other customers being asked if they needed utensils or extras like parmesan or red pepper — I got none of that. I came around 8pm, so it wasn’t closing time either. The food itself wasn’t worth it. The cheese pizza was nearly $20 for a 20-inch NY-style pie that was way too saucy. Garlic knots were tasty but not worth $1 each — $6 for 6 is steep. The truffle fries tasted like frozen store-bought fries tossed in oil, no real flavor at all. What annoyed me even more was the tip screen. The lowest tip option starts at 5%, which feels bold considering how bad the service was — and this was before I even selected “no tip.” I don’t usually leave reviews like this, but this whole experience just wasn’t it. Funny enough, their box says “People disappoint, pizza is eternal.” Hate to break it to you — this pizza disappointed too.

The restaurant is really so slow that I have been waiting for 35 minutes but the order is still not ready and the restaurant is definitely not crowded and there are no other customers waiting except me
