We went to Dodos last night for Taco Tuesday and had a great time. The vibe was great on the beach with a DJ. He and another fellow both sang as well. We met the owner. Super nice guy. Really cares about his business and how guests are feeling. We had the Taco Tuesday special which was good value. Although my brother in law got the Clubhouse Sandwich and it looked amazing. Would probably go with that next time.

Awesome hosts with great food. Amazing Cubanos, great Cold Sandwiches, and kid friendly. This is the place for a quick lunch or breakfast that delivers on flavor and service.

Delicious sandwiches. Tried the cubano, BLT, and club. So good and perfect delivery/to-go for a day of fishing and another day at the beach.

Sandos worth crossing the arroyo for! You get welcoming feeling when you're there. They want you to enjoy your experience with them and it shows! Their Cubano is off the charts!

This is an nice casual beach hangout. The food is exceptionally good and you can't beat the setting under a huge palapa with your toes in the sand. Nothing fancy, but sports on big screens and sometimes good live music.

One of the very best breakfasts in town. Haven’t tried meals at other times, but will be back to try. Our group enjoyed great waffles, French toast and avocado toast. Really like the fruit on the side. The bacon is cooked perfectly. Cheesy potatoes are delicious. Also eggs always come out perfectly, as well. Nothing is greasy. We enjoyed the view of the ocean and being on the beach. Nice breeze. Bonus: the wait staff are fun and attentive. Double bonus: the Jamaica is one of the best in town (I have tried them all)!

If you are staying in the East cape anywhere near Los Barrilles you have to stop by Dodos beach club. The food is incredible, everything taste fresh and delicious. I recommend getting their strawberry dodos mojito and the cuban sandwich. The bar sits right on the most beautiful beach and the vibe is tropical and relaxing. We come to baja sur every year and we will be making a point to spend a few days at Dodos.

Great vibe, super cold drinks, delicious food and an unbeatable view. I spent many evenings and meals at Dodo's during my two week stay in Los Barriles. Menu favorites were the marlin dip, burrata salad and shrimp tacos. New favorite spot in town where everyone is treated like family. Can't wait to go back...

What can you say about this place but amazing. The view is insanely awesome. I had halibut fish tacos that had what felt like a pound of fish on each taco. Fish was cooked perfectly. The drinks are on point. The place is owned by a wonderful couple. Very family oriented, but they know how to party! You must come here to eat, and drink!

The quality of the food is the best I’ve had in town! Definitely recommend the tacos, especially the fish & arrachera tacos. The ceviche was amazing too! The location I feel is one of the best in Los Barriles!!! Will be coming back often!

Dodos is definitely the best bar we went to in our time in Los Barriles. I would say 90%+ of the patrons at bars / restaurants in the area are North America retirees. Dodos is the only place that had a younger crowd and our kind of vibe as a result. The bar is directly on the beach with bar games (eg axe throwing, corn hole etc). Prices are in line with all other bars in town (60 mxn for a domestic beer and 150 mxn for a margarita). The food looked good although we weren’t there to eat. Would highly recommend.

Great little bar , lots of locals , all friendly , cold beer , good quality food to enjoy , great view of the sea , we saw a few whales and a large pod of dolphins swimming close to shore while enjoying some cold drinks

Recently opened at the old Gecki's location, Significantly remodel includes a large palapa, large circle format bar, TV's, and all within view of sand, sky and sea. Dodo's was new to us. It was a busy night geared towards a large crowd for the mariachis, so the menu was more limited. A little side bar was added with value priced shors, seltzers and beer. We had a sandwich, which was good but look forward to trying more in the future. Mixocologist were taking time to prepare special drinks like flavorful berry mojitos. Entertainment was fantastic. Go check it out.

As a local, I am THRILLED Dodo’s has a permanent location in Los Barriles. The owners are friendly, the staff are awesome, you can’t beat the views, and the food is incredible. We love that there is a mix of options including vegetarian. They have always been so accommodating with any special requests. Highly recommend relaxing in the lounge chairs in the sand as you watch the kiters, whales swim by, rays jump, and of course everyone’s pups saying hello. Awesome vibes, just what we needed in town. Congratulations on the opening and can’t wait to see you soon! Definitely a new favorite spot.

I love this place! The sandwiches are amazing and we took a Club sandwich to go on a hike and even after sitting in a bag for hours it was still super tasty. Even the range of different tastes is amazing. You’ll find something for every craving. The quality is high and def worth the price! Try the soup as well!

If you’re looking for something other than Tacos in town, Dodos is your spot. They have Delicious gourmet sandwiches and a variety to chose from, including several vegetarian option! The atmosphere is casual and the staff are amazing! Highly recommend for dinning in or togo!

We ordered fresh sandwiches for our early fishing excursion. Everything was delivered on time, well packaged, and perfect for our day on the water. The Cubano was excellent (served panini style) as well as the Ham and Cheese and BLT. I highly recommend.

This is a great bar whose staff and kitchen are absolutely on fire. It's bar food and done very very good for bar food. The palapa and all the bamboo lights hanging down really create a nice ambiance. When musicians play here, they have two stages and both are great. The only downside is limited parking if you don't have a sxs to park on the beach.

Nice little spot to grab a sandwich and enjoy the weather. I got the French Dip which was pretty good. This is certainly not the value option in town but the food taste was good. I got the French Dip lunch special which comes with sandwich side salad drink and some chips for 18usd Side note the restaurant does offer nice bathroom which is a luxury in LB

We were really disappointed with our dinner tonight. They weren’t busy, but the waitress took forever to get our drink order while she chatted with the bartender. We just wanted a cheeseburger, but they said all they had was a smash burger. I’m pretty sure you can make a cheeseburger with ingredients from smash burger. Smash burger was $16.00 US. Really? You may get unsuspecting tourists, but for those of us that have homes here it feels like a rip off. This place could be our everyday go to since it’s the restaurant closest to us.

I really hate leaving a bad review, but unfortunately I will be posting one for Dodos Sandos. I asked a friend if they had tried Dodos, he replied yes, what did you think I asked, he said, it was a wish sandwich, a wish sandwich? Yes you wished you had some meat. And that was the case today. Ordered 2 almost Italian sandwiches, they were almost a sandwich, I was left very disappointed after opening my sandwich. I liked the bun, the lettuce and tomatoes, but it really needed more meat! The Sandwich was quite expensive for what we received. The pulled pork sandwich, we brought one home for a family member. Very disappointing. We were told it had a very strange smell and they said it was terrible, almost no flavor and they wouldn't never have another one from there again, especially at almost $15.00. We spent $690 pesos for 3 sandwiches, I don't mind spending good money for a good product, but I am sorry to say that we will not be returning.

We were so excited to try this place with great reviews and within walking distance of our place. Pretentious prices for a disappointing meal. For $15-$18 sandwiches, these were definitely not worth the price. I had the steak sandwich, which was bland, had a small amount of meat, and the au jou was completely tasteless oily water. My partner’s Cubano was tastier but also thin on the meat. Both were served with tiny handfuls of potato chips. On a positive note the gals who served us were very friendly and sweet.

We shared a great sandwich…the food is really good! But my plain margarita was $7.50 and adding one shot of Damiana brought it to $15! What? Our waiter said “it’s only money” and took $10 off the bill. Sadly he was quite condescending to us. We aren’t complainers so for me to make this review is a bummer.

My Mexican wife was shocked when the server was unable to provide a Spanish menu. He claimed that the restaurant is American Territory. We all got up and left. You are in Mexico! They only accept cash and based on the menu it's overpriced for the gringos. There are lots of good Mexican spots in this town, go there instead of this testament to gentrification.
