What a great, casual place to eat! The place was filled with families with people of all ages. The atmosphere was happy and everyone was in good cheer. This is not just a "burger joint", it's 10x better than the typical restaurant. We liked the food a lot. The fried chicken sandwich was crispy outside and moist inside. The burger was cooked just like ordered. And both were generous portions. We were visiting from the L.A. area and my wife noted that there wasn't a single place she could think of in the cesspool of L.A. that even comes close. I agree. Highly recommended.

Delightful ambiance and customer service! Right when you walk in you see a clean legible menu sign as well as the grill cooking up huge burger patties. It is a very popular joint but no lines and readily found a place to sit. The food was prepared quickly and served with crisp hot lightly battered fries. Delicious! IMO the buns really make the burger - soft bread yet lightly toasted and same size as the juicy cheese covered patty. The self-served fountain drink area was easy and they serve Coke products. Will absolutely return again and highly recommend! Don’t forget to get a gumball on the way out!

Pretty crowded, apparently for a reason. Counter ordered, pick up at the window type of place. Food was good. A rather good burner for the price. You get your own toppings and make it how you want it, with a wide selection of sauces. Surprised to see fry sauce here, which is usually a Pacific Northwest thing. They definitely need another soda fountain since the line was blocking/colliding with the line to order. Cheese fries were pretty good, but after I found the fry sauce, I would have just preferred regular fries.

This was perfect for my last lunch before getting on a plane home. Burgers are so great. Made to order, had mine medium rare with grilled onions and jalapeños. Cheese fries are yummy and fresh. Going to try the onion rings next time. Bye Lubbock, see you next time!

Staff is always friendly. burgers are great. place is usually pretty clean. clean restrooms as well . Have never had a negative experience here, food generally comes out quick. prices are good. not very expensive.

Food is consistently good, they have a condiment bar to add whatever you want to your burger. Tell them you have a silly name like Pikachu and they say Pikachu your buns are up when the food ready.

Excellent option for budgeting families as Buns Over Texas combines value and quality over the entire menu. No wait service as you order then wait for your name to be called. All food is prepared in an open for public to see grill. Good size portions and all entrees I have tried have been good to very good. Burgers always have a sear crust and juicy. Grilled chicken good. Steak Fingers and Chicken Fried Chicken very good. Kids can't get enough of the cheese fries and the regular fries are very good. All sandwiches come plain as your dress them yourself at add ons bar. Very clean bathroom, family atmosphere and friendly staff.

Great place to get a quick juicy burger. Topping for burgers is self serve and they have a lot to top it with, the avocado-poblano dressing and the chipotle mayo is especially good and different. Service was prompt, friendly and the restaurant was decently clean. The fries were thick, fluffy and crispy. The onion rings were crunchy with a tender onion inside.

Great burger and onion rings. Order extra crispy and they will accommodate. You get an open face burger with or without cheese to put your own condiments at a station. They have mini cups for mustard, mayo, ketchup and ranch. Cheese fries are super cheesy. Refills are free since they have side drink and tea machines to serve yourself. Reasonable priced. Combo options. Staff semi friendly. Cookies and brownies for dessert at counter. You watch them cook from the counter where you order. You give them a name and they call it out loud to get your order.

Just visited this place since we saw them in Miami and ordered . Our buns were never up and when I asked they said they must have lost our order .was looking forward to a good burger nobody’s perfect .

The lemonade tastes like onions. The chicken fried steak isn’t too good. But the buns and Service are amazing and they were kind.
