We LOVE it here! From the food to the service. Truly exceptional! 10/10 highly recommend.

I've been coming to this location for a while and it's always a great experience. The bar staff are so sweet and welcoming. The food is good, down-home diner cooking. It's nice to have crispy hashbrowns for once.

The food was amazing! My husband is very picky on his eggs, was was extremely happy with his Sunnyside up eggs, the chicken fried steak was great! I had the chorizo, egg, potatoe and cheese burrito. It was large and very good! Definitely coming bacj

This was a great reaturant for breakfast. We ate here Mother's day weekend. There was a line to sit down. However, the wait wasn't long. This is seat yourself establishment, and they seem to be busy from open to close. But the wait was worth it! The food was so good. Mt whole family loved it. We will definitely be going back.

Finally took time out this morning to get breakfast at John's Tech Cafe. It was a little after 8am and I was surprised that they were only about half full. You seat yourself and the waitress was quickly there for the drink order and took my food order upon return. Very fast service all around, including getting my food. I had the CFS/gravy with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and wheat toast. Everything was well prepared and tasted great! Good, filling, basic breakfast. This is very good standard fare with excellent service and value. You want fancy egg dishes, go to The Toasted Yolk. You want a real good breakfast go here!

You seat yourself and the waitress was quickly there for the drink order and took my food order upon return. Very fast service all around, including getting my food. I had the CFS/gravy with scrambled eggs, hash browns, and wheat toast. Everything was well prepared and tasted great! Good, filling, basic breakfast. This is very good standard fare with excellent service and value. You want fancy egg dishes, go to The Toasted Yolk. You want a real good breakfast go here!

First time for us here! We've heard about Tech Cafe and decided today was the day to try it. Parking lot was packed. Usually a good sign. It was seat yourself. A small counter is available to sit at. Two tables were available but hadn't been bused yet. One frequent customer told us, just go stand near a table to claim it🤪 We did and someone came to clean it fairly fast. Our food was on time, hot, and very tasty. I had the biscuits and gravy. Gravy was spot on. Our waitress always made sure our coffee was topped off. Bill is paid at the counter. FYI, they do charge the fee to use the credit/debit card. So bring cash if that's a thing for you. As busy as the place was it was clean, warm, and friendly.

We truly enjoy dining here. The food is consistently excellent, the atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the staff treats us like family. It is always a wonderful experience, and we genuinely love coming back!

Very good chicken and waffles! I have not been to a seat yourself place before but they seemed to handle it well! Staff were friendly. Check out was a little slower when busy but that can happen anywhere! Great breakfast spot in Lubbock rather than a commercial chain!

The food was excellent & the restaurant looked very clean. The waitress was very nice. Once the plates were set down, we couldn't get her attention again. We didn't receive refills or asked if everything is alright.

We were a little disappointed that the usual Wednesday Special, meatloaf, was changed to roast beef. But our second choices of chicken fried steak and chicken fried chicken were very good. I would go just for their in house cut French fries. They're so good. The service is always great and the food is hot and fresh.

Gyro was AWESOME and of course it goes without saying that Mercedes was her usually wonderful self.

They have great food, and amazing, friendly, and caring staff. Thank you again Misty for keeping my husband's lost wallet secure until we could drive back from Carlsbad to get it! She even offered to mail it to us if we weren't able to come back. That goes above and beyond great customer care!

Ate lunch here today and the chili cheese burger was excellent as always and the fresh cut fries are delicious. The food comes out fast and they have the best waitresses of any restaurant! They are friendly, cheerful, make sure you have what you need and they help each other. A very well run cafe.

Decent food, decent prices. They might think about hiring another server, ours was way overworked-between busing tables, seating people, and taking orders it was understandable that a few minor things got overlooked. Also not a fan of not having totals on the check, makes it a bit harder when figuring out the tip when you're a table of 6 or more.

Good home made food with very good service.Just make sure to be there early if you're going for lunch on a Sunday,the space is a bit small and crowded when it's full.Well worth a check out if you're in the Milwaukee street area.Oh and it's very affordable too ! Definitely going back.

Amazing Food, Amazing Prices… Questionable Side Politics. This is one of those old-school diners that time forgot, in the best way. Old booths, coffee that never stops flowing, and food that shows up hot, fast, and unapologetically delicious. The prices are so low they feel illegal in this economy. You order breakfast and don’t immediately feel the need to check your bank app. That alone deserves respect. The food? Consistently fire. No gimmicks. No Instagram nonsense. Just real diner cooking that knows exactly what it’s doing. The kind of meal that fixes your mood and makes you sit there quietly for a second like, yeah… that’s it. But then… The Rules™ appear. Because for some reason, this diner runs on a very strict, very confusing side-dish constitution. You are allowed two side which sounds like freedom until you learn that mashed potatoes and fries together is apparently where they draw the line. I asked. Politely. Hopeful. The response had the energy of: “We don’t do that here.” "We can't do that." Sir. Ma’am. This is potato-on-potato violence. You’re telling me I can’t have potatoes prepared in two different emotional states? I can get a salad and a weird vegetable medley but not mashed potatoes and fries? In an AMERICAN diner? Founded, presumably, on liberty? Still… I come back. Every time. Because the food slaps, the prices are a throwback, and the stubbornness is part of the charm. It’s like eating at your grandparents’ house you don’t argue, you just accept the rules and enjoy the meal. Great food. Great value. Just don’t challenge the potato doctrine unless you’re ready for consequences.

I was pretty surprised at how well we liked it. The waffles were excellent as were the onion rings. Despite how busy it was the food was out incredibly fast.

Clean, good food, great service. The place was pretty full but didn't have slow service or bad food because of it. Loved it. My family and I will be back! Came back several times. Not too happy with the food.

Terrible service. Waitress should know the menu and if things are no longer offered instead of serving whatever they want.

Tech Cafe needs to brush up on ADA laws. Service animals do not have certifications or paperwork they are required to carry. Per ADA laws you are only LEGALLY allowed to ask if it is a service animal and what service they provide. Good job breaking the law and being discriminatory today against a respected Veteran/Prior Law Enforcement and current business owner. I’d highly recommend staff re-education before this happens to someone that will take it up in court.

This not a place I would recommend if your ordering drive thru, not the best cafe in Lubbock, way more better places to go with better courtesy and honesty.....

Food is ok but not a five star quality. Seems that corn is served as side most of the time. I wouldn't recommend as a family environment.
