Great food, great friendly service and all on a busy Friday night. My daughter had the Chicken Fried Steak and I had the Cobb Salad with grilled chicken. They were both very tasty and the rolls were hot and fresh. We don't live in the area of Cotton Patch Restaurants so when we are near one we make it a point to go!

My friend got shafted due to paying for some of our food. Absolute disaster.

Lufkin is not really known for locations with good down home cooked food. Uh, Cracker Barrel? I don't think so. I read the reviews and decided to give it a shot. It was REALLY good! I had the turkey and dressing. I was a little disappointed in the portion but the flavor was all there. They offer a multitude of home cooked sides. There were so many options that I ordered a couple extras because I could not decide. For once I found a place that actually seasons their food! I did not have to add any salt or pepper. It was perfect! If you want to go to a place that tastes like Grandma's cooking ( not everyone has a grandma that cooks well but mine sure did) go here! The menu offers a very nice variety of delicious options! Also you cannot beat the prices. They also offer a daily menu that is less than $10.I can't wait to go back!

Every time we come in its a happy atmosphere. Service is good and always checking to see if we need anything. We enjoyed a late lunch / early dinner before the crowds arrived on Valentines Day at Cotton Patch. We had an amazing waitress. Her name is Kyela and she is on fire today. Extremely friendly and very helpful. Came back to check on us a lot. Brought me another glass of tea before my other glass was finished. Stayed on top of things throughout our dinner. The food is fantastic, we had the Alfredo with chicken and chicken fried brisket with broccoli rice casserole, backed squash, mashed potatoes, and greenbeans. My in-store dinner was great - as usual. Rachel was great - as usual. I got the new pecan cobbler to take home. The cobbler was apparently warmed up in the styrofoam container (which I did not need since it was “to go”). When I tried to warm it the next day (in my own bowl), it was melted to the styrofoam container and I was only able to eat less than 1/2 of the cobbler. I’d like a replacement dessert on my next visit.

We have eaten here for many years now. Its a bit out of the way for us, but we still make it occasionally. I love the food. It's home style cooking, with good flavor and a decent menu offering something for everyone. One of my favorite things is the Chicken Fried Steak! They have the "regular" size which is HUGE, and the small which is perfect for if you're not too hungry. We have always had pleasant service, with an occasional waiter/waitress who may not pay as much attention as others, but mostly good service. I have never seen the restaurant dirty. Its always appeared clean and organized. When we arrive, we are always greated with a smile and a warm welcome. We enjoy going here. This is my experiences. Yours may differ but I will continue to go. They always treat us right and the food is great.

Our server was really nice. The food was great. The fried green tomatoes are delicious! I originally ordered the turkey and dressing, but it did not taste fresh. My boyfriend ordered the grilled pork chop and it was DELICIOUS. I asked the manager if I could swap out my turkey and dressing for the pork chop and they happily obliged. I was glad and I enjoyed the pork chop a lot more. It was very tender, juicy and grilled to perfection. It was the best pork chop we've ever had! Great experience.

Our food was mostly good: the fried green tomatoes were crisp and my wife’s chicken looked great. Buy a few issues: my daughter and I had the sirloin and both were overcooked. Hers was practically well done but she didn’t want to complain. Mine was more medium v medium rare but that doesn’t bother me. It tasted good. The baked potato was good, but two of us got the fried okra, and it was mushy. The other issue was that we didn’t get rolls with our meal, then we looked around and everyone else had a basket of rolls. It would have been nice to be asked if we could get some, which it turns out are complimentary, from what we can tell. Also, my grand daughter didn’t get her cookie with her meal and I had to go ask for it at the end. Overall pretty good but a little frustrating.

It's was alright. I however ordered the Turkey Dinner and they gave me a lot of skin and not much meat. It was tough, so my dog got a treat. Also they put brown gravy on the turkey and stuffing, but put white gravy on my mashed potatoes, that was weird. Service was good though.

Service was fine. The food was nothing special. The chicken fried chicken (classic size) felt quite small, especially seeing their was a small size. It was 14.99 for the meal. The side portions also felt small. Coast about $20 for one person for this meal and an iced tea. Way overpriced for taste and portion size. The chicken wasn’t overly tender for the price and the batter on the chicken wasn’t anything special. Would not eat again.

Due to the poor quality of the food and the laughably bizarre experience I need to share mine and my friends experience at the cotton patch. I have eaten at the restaurant before and absolutely enjoyed my previous experience, but after the last I will more than likely never return. Our server was nice and polite so no complaints in that department. The issue comes in the food and management areas. We were a party of 3, I ordered a burger medium rare, my friends ordered a 6 oz steak well done and a chicken fried steak. When we received our food my friend's steak she had ordered was very rare, she sent it back due to not liking rare steak. My burger was cooked to a charcoal briquette which is absolutely not how I like my food prepared. I did not send my food back due to the simple fact that it is now taboo and frowned upon to cause any slight amount of trouble for food employees, now we didn't make a scene and we were polite the entire time, laughing and attempting to have a nice evening. The largest issue comes from my 3rd friend's meal, the chicken fried streak, after attempting to eat it, he discovered that the cook had not taken the paper off the steak before frying it! I know it is hard to believe that is why I have a picture of it attached to this review. We still at this point were very polite and kind, we spoke to who I assume to be the manager, as she was the first one we could speak to, she took the plate and had another one made for him. At this point we were still not upset, we finished our meal and were getting ready to pay for it, the manager had decided due to our poor experience they would give us free dessert. So together paid over fifty dollars for three meals and two appetizers, we also still tipped, nothing was comped or discounted, and that was the end, when we left, we were going to split up the free dessert they had given so generously, only to find a single slice of carrot cake.
