Great ramen and fun drinks. If you're staying at GWL and your kids are a little older, definitely sneak over here.

Great bento box is what I had. My kids tried a seafood ramen and a black ginger ramen bowl. Everyone was pleased and happy with the friendly staff.

Today was are first day eating at this lovely restaurant here in Manteca! Me and my wife was not planning to eat anything but the menu outside caught our eyes and so we gave it a try. We loved everything! From the food to the Appetizers to the delicious ramen and will never forget the awesome hospitality and friendly service from AJ who is just a sweet awesome person that made our day with her awesome company. Just ate there today, food was excellent and reasonably priced. I'll definitely be back. I had the black garlic ramen which was phenomenal. They also have BBQ and vegetarian options though I didn't try any of those this visit.

Black garlic ramen was superb. Seafood ramen was good (lighter flavor). Perfectly cooked shrimp on the seafood ramen. Our kids gobbled up mixed BBQ and they split 1 order and extra rice. Great service and we had our food very promptly, but we were there at 8 pm. We're in the area visiting Great Wolf Lodge and this is 5 minutes away. Highly recommend on cold day.

Migration of Bay Area taste is in full affect. This newly opened spot has great options and the food are exceptionally made with great taste. . I usually get the Vegan but my kids love the other flavors. Also has appetizers and meals that taste really good. Welcome to the Valley Bay Areans!

My favorite ramen place!! The broth is always so flavorful and the noodles are the perfect texture. I love the starters as well, especially the tako yaki. Service is phenomenal, I would give them 100 stars if I could!

My boyfriend wanted us to check out this place. We've been waiting for a ramen spot to open near by, since we both usually enjoy ramen in other cities. It wouldn't be fair to compare it to other restaurants. Ramen 101 is located in a small food plaza but there's plenty of parking space. The restaurant itself is actually pretty small, so be mindful if you're arriving with a group or during rush hour. When we arrived, the tables were filled already but there wasn't a line. Luckily after we ordered and paid for our food, tables freed up for us. We both got the black garlic ramen, and grilled squid. One black garlic ramen was extra spicy and the other was just spicy. If you're into very spicy food, the spice level isn't crazy so 'extra spicy' is pretty much mild. With that said, don't take my word for it lol because my 'extra spicy' was mild but I didn't mind lol. Service was super quick, we probably only sat down for 5 minutes tops before food came out. It could have been sooner than 5 minutes but I wasn't tracking the time. Add ons are a must, we added an extra egg and seaweed paper. (We forgot to add the seaweed paper but the servers were kind enough to just give it to us) 🥹 They have take-home menus but you can also view the menu from the screen above. The broth of the ramen was delicious, however it could use a little more umami or salt. My boyfriend thinks the broth should be thicker. However I'm not complaining, I finished the whole bowl with a giant grin on my face. If you just take a little piece of the pork, a small twirl of noods, a piece of the soft boiled egg, and a piece of roasted garlic into your spoon, and wrap it with seaweed paper after soaking it in the broth.... 🤗🤤 I'm still drooling as I write this review lol. The grilled squid was delicious, very beautiful presentation. The sauce drizzled onto the squid reminds me of sweet chili sauce. I would have enjoyed a fountain soda, however the canned Hawaiian drinks were sufficient to quench our thirst. I'm definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu.

We arrived for lunch, being the third time at this location, and several to the McHenry location as well. I have had all varieties of their ramen at various spice levels - I have not been let down at all from either location. Their Karaage at this time is made the traditional way, gluten-free and delicious! Come here, you will not be sorry, you will be full and happy!

Chicken Ramen was delish! Very small restaurant so the atmosphere was average for a quick meal or take out. Prices and meal portions are good. I will definitely go back.

I had the black garlic ramen today and it was sooo good ! and i just had to take some to go ! Reasonable price and the two young girls at the front desk were so nice, friendly, and patient with us!

The tonkotsu ramen was really, really good. I reccomend to get it in the spicy level if you enjoy a good spice. Also, the tempura shrimp is good. You can ask for chili in oil on the side.

A refreshing change of option to have in town. It tastes like ramen I've had in the bay area. The staff is friendly. The shop is small like any ramen restaurant but very welcoming.

Very cozy and legit. Place is small yes but they make it up by offering an open table when one opens or take out. The lady working in the front register was very nice and informative. She even took our order on the spot so when one table opened, our food could be made asap. Loved it here! Give this place a chance :)

Delicious food that was made very quickly. The chicken karaage was perfectly crisp and flavorful, and the grilled squid was pleasantly tender. We really enjoyed the tonkotsu ramen as well as the chicken and beef bento box, both are amazing choices! Highly recommend!

I used to always go to the one in Stockton and this one is way better. The service is top tier; I am picky as hell and Nini worked with us to find an option that worked for me. The food was delicious and filling

The service was friendly from the moment I walked in, I walked up to the counter and asked what the cashier’s favorite dish was as a recommendation and he suggested I get the black garlic ramen and of course I had to get it spicy just to feel something (there is an option of extra spicy), but honestly the spice level was minor so if you’re looking for something to melt your mouth off then this probably isn’t the place, but that doesn’t matter because the ramen itself was delicious! From the complexity of flavors, the creaminess and oily essence of the broth that coats the taste buds, the umami from the black garlic, to the fattiness of the pork, and the bite of the bamboo shoots this ramen was a harmony of flavors in a bowl. Simply put, I enjoyed my meal. As far as the interior of the restaurant, it’s a nice cozy little spot to grab a bowl of ramen and a cold beverage (guava nectar for me please). I’d recommend and will definitely come here with a regular cadence.

Love ramen. I am usually very satisfied here. Love the black garlic chicken. Last visit, they screwed up my order pretty good, attempted to fix it. Wasn't as satisfied this last visit, but the ramen I had was still good.

Quite busy. Open a couple of weeks. We waited in the car 15 minutes until they texted us. We had the Grilled whole Squid, Shoyu Ramen (non-spicy) and the Black Garlic Ramen (Med). Also we had 2 hot teas. After being seated, I went to the counter and ordered. The food took about 10 minutes to hit the table. We really enjoyed all three. We finished the Squid and I finished my Black Garlic Ramen. The medium heat was just to still savor the pork, egg halves and the Ramen noodles. My wife was full after eating 1/3 of her Shoyu. The texture and taste of the noodles was exceptional for us. The mushrooms, scallions and seasoning in the broth all blended nicely. There were many to go orders while we were there.

Don't get me wrong, Ramen 101 is a great place. It serves the purpose of providing a get in, eat, get out environment, which is fine. I just like it so much that I wish it were more of a destination rather than a stop over.

Me and my wife had our own tonkotsu Ramen and the kids had to share the bento box. Make sure you tip! Because you're food will be more delicious. This is not the first time I've been to this place. I noticed it the first time I didn't tip. I ended up taking my soup home.

Service=friendly Presentation=Great Noodles= Great Only reason this is getting 4 stars, I ordered a spicy black garlic ramen. Everything inside was good, except the chili oil seems to taste like Lao Gan Ma. If you don’t know what this is, it’s a Chinese chili oil that has the numbing taste. The whole ramen dish became a hot pot dish. I recommend people not to order any spicy and just add your own Japanese chili oil. The Lao gan ma sauce just overpowers all broth/meat/noodle taste.

Good for what it is; I would say getting it in person is definitely better than through delivery services. In person is definitely more reasonable, quality and def price wise.

I ordered the veggie ramen, and my friend got tempura. She liked it. I thought the broth was good, not too salty. Noodles were a bit on the thicker side, though I am the type to prefer Fukuoka-style ramen.

Broth can be much better, meat portion size was very little compared to regular any regular ramen place. 5 star for service tho.

We ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen (mild), Black Garlic Ramen (medium spicy), and chicken katsu bento box. The black garlic ramen was disappointing- it was really flavorless. The Tonkatsu Ramen was a bit more flavorful. Everything was OK. Not great. But about what I'd expect from a fast casual place like this. The bar is low. Staff was friendly and the bathroom was clean.

Tonkasu was just ok. Soup was lacking the Tonkasu richness.

Food is great when they actually give it to you. Yesterday, i ordered Ramen with extra pork and wasn't given any extra pork. Today, i ordered a bowl of ramen with a side of Gyoza and wasn't given the gyoza I paid almost $8 for. Oh well.

Cashiers seemed to have an issue. Not sure if they were overwhelmed by door dash orders and being busy. My husband got the pork belly rice plate. And it was so skimped. The pork belly was minced. We usually get bigger cuts of pork belly, our go to spot is in Stockton.

The asian girl with big lashes was incredibly rude I walked in and didn’t get a “Hi welcome in” she looks straight at me with a straight rude stare and said “for here or to go😐” Almost like she has no sense of customer service and actually made me feel uncomfortable because it looked like she was miserable… not one smile from her face😬I felt like this 😥😥😥 the whole time waiting for my food. Food is always good though good job to the hard working cooks!!

Went to Ramen 101 recently (Saturday night 1019th around 8:45 pm) and there was a HAIR in the ramen. Please make cooking staff wear hair nets because it totally grossed us out. We love this place and now we are turned off. I tried to upload a photo of the hair but kept saying error.

Came here for the first time and the food was great but noticed that there was a hair in my ramen bowl, but got a new one immediately, Appreciated that. The issue I have is every time a customer came in and would leave the front staff would talk about them. It is very unsettling and unfortunate. And talking about customers is one thing but to do it so loudly in front of other customers on business hours is crazy. Not wanting to come back in fear of being made fun of or something if I became a regular. It’s so unnecessary and mean. Being kind takes little to no effort.

I went to order and was not asked if my order was for here or to go and they just made it to go without asking, I told them I couldn't hear what they said and they just continued on without clarifying then when I told them as I got my food I wanted it for here they did absolutely nothing. Terrible service, just go to stockton instead, they know how to treat people over there. Came here 11-4-23 at about 6:30pm

No vegan or dairy free options. As this is due to allergies not a personal choice. One of the first ramen joint that are not allergen friendly. Spoke to the employees and they will not be implementing options whatsoever in the future. Doesn’t accommodate ADA which is against the law

For being basically a fast food restraunt being asked by staff to leave a seat i sat in because some else might want it is ridiculous i can understand if they sat people and this was a actual restraunt. Poor service 1000% sad to because this was a go to for me.

Order ramen and it came with a side of hair. Before anyone makes any assumptions. I brought the whole meal back, drove 45 mins round trip and waited in line twice for an hour and 30 mins of my time wasted. Best part was no apology what so ever. They looked at me like i was trying to cheat them. Unfortunately i dont have over 12+ inch hair. I would avoid.

I was very disappointed by the whole fried squid that I got for takeout. It looked nothing like it was advertised in the picture. The whole squid tasted overcooked and overpriced especially for the amount I received.
